Chapter 4: CH 3 – Granting a wish… or not.

Cronus POV:

Ugh, not again. Why do I never get the good ones? That useless goddess, always causing me trouble.... tsk. I'm going to let her have it after this. This woma- I mean, man also reeks of filth. His soul is almost entirely black, disturbed by a few white splotches marking his soul. What is Grovice doing? His planet's inhabitants are sickening...

"But... I didn't die so why am I here? Didn't you also mention that my case was 'special'? How so?"

The man asks as he turns to face me, curiously awaiting my reply.

"Indeed. The giant cat that you saw just before coming here is actually a legendary beast that should not have been on your planet. One of the gods, Eukeitia put too much force into capturing it, which flung the beast all the wall from its native planet to yours."

The man's expression turns solemn, so I peek into his thoughts.

'Huh? THE HELL IS THIS?! I just wanna go back... I can't leave my family and Hayashi behind...'

"Please be more understanding. We will return you to Earth. It is in our law to ensure that disturbances caused by us is paid back duly by granting the wish of the victims."

"Victims? You make it seem as if I was attacked. I guess its fine if I can return. As for my wish... can it be anything?"

"Hmm? Of course. However, the wish may not be used to harm other gods' planets or the inhabitants either."

"In that case... can I-"

"EYYY! What's up my pal! Glad to see y- hm? Ah, is she the one that darn cat troubled?" Eukietia asks as she waltzes into my office.

"She's a he. ALSO, FOR THE LAST TIME, IT. WAS. YOUR. FAULT."

I glare at her while saying that to get the message across, but it seems to have just entered one ear and straight out the other.

"Relax, Cronus. I got this." She snaps her finger, causing the man to glow white and disappear shortly afterwards.

I gasp. This wretch is bringing him to her world! I protest and yell at her, but eventually resign and sit down, letting my body slump as I helplessly watched the man disappear. Haahh... at the very least I should help him get used to the new world.
