Chapter 25: As an adventurer

Something we had not done until now was to register as adventurers.

Either because I hadn't reached the minimum age yet, which is 13, or because I didn't have time.

"Not having all those classes in the afternoon anymore is so weird" - Max

"I think people consider having all those classes something strange" - Milena

The professors have already given me an OK about my knowledge, I already have knowledge necessary to have graduated from the academy.

The academy is meant to socialize with others, however, your ability to get a good grade is one of the factors taken into consideration when socializing.

"We are arriving, you can see the sign with a sword and a shield" - Milena

The adventurers' guild has its mark, a sword and a shield, inside there are several receptions, each reception serves for one thing, a bar, this bar serves to exchange information and recruit, and we also have a mural where the missions are pasted.

We got in line to register, it didn't take long for our turn to arrive.

"We want to register as adventurers" - Max

"Ok, while I explain fill out this paper for me please" - Alissa

On the paper it asked for your name, preferred fighting style and if you are looking for a team to join.

The rules are simple, maybe it was made that way for the adventurers to understand them.

1st - Adventurers are ranked from G to A, with the exception of rank S, which is a special rank.

2nd - You are only able to take quests one rank above your own, and all of the same rank or below.

3rd - If you want to separate a mission for other teams not to do it you can, but if you fail it you will have to pay a fee.

4 - It is forbidden to fight within the Guild.

5 - It is forbidden to hinder other adventurers in the missions, if this is discovered you will be banned from the adventurers guild.

6 - If you are doing a harvesting quest, avoid removing the roots of the plant, so that in the future you will be able to harvest again.

Outside of this there are ways between one adventurer and another, such as not stealing another adventurer's prey.

"As one of the rules to rank up is to complete quests you will start with rank F, rank G is often used by adventurers who can't fight and are in need of money." - Alissa

"Here is your badge, it serves as identification and to accept the missions, avoid losing it, if you lose it you will have to pay 5 silver.

We take our badges, they are simple, with our name and rank.

"Pass some magic on them, that way it will be registered and other people won't be able to use them" - Alissa

After we put some magic on them, we went to the wall to see if there are any quests available.

Few quests are still available, they are to collect some herbs, defeat 5 goblins and to clean up the town.

We decide to do all three missions, after registering that we accept the missions, we go to the places in the city that need to be cleaned according to the mission.

After using the cleanse magic in these locations, we get a stamp to show that we have completed the quests.

Apparently this is not how people usually do this quest, but that is because they don't have a large amount of magic or they have not mastered this magic.

Now we leave the city to collect the herbs and kill the goblins.

After 10 minutes of walking in the forest, we found some herbs.

We were trying to pick up as many herbs as possible. Meanwhile we heard a noise.

It seems that some wolves are coming to attack us.

Milena looks in the direction of the noise and goes back to gathering herbs.

When the wolf approaches, Milena casts an ice magic without looking, which hits the wolf's head and takes its life.

"We don't accept the mission to kill wolves, do they?" - Max

"At least they will accept the material" - Milena

We continued gathering herbs while being attacked by monsters from time to time.

Before we knew it, we had collected far more than was necessary to complete the mission.

And we killed 15 goblins that attacked us while we were gathering herbs.

The nice thing about being able to use several attributes is that you can use something like an item box, allowing you to stay focused without having to worry about whether you can carry it.

Goblins are not much use as material, so we just remove their ears and core. The rest of the body is burned or buried, this way we avoid creating a zombie.

Skeletons and zombies happen when the bodies of dead monsters or adventurers are left untreated for too long, so you must burn the remains or bury them.

Return to the guild after completing the quests to receive the rewards.

"We want to complete the quests and get the rewards, where can I put the loot?" - Max

"You can go to that counter over there and put the loot there" - Receptionist

The counter we are guided to is full of space.

"Look, are you done with your missions? I will be in charge of you, thank you Leticia" - Alissa

That being said, Alissa will be responsible for checking the loot.

"You can put it here" - Alissa

With her permission we started to put the herbs, after we put a certain amount her expression changed, we decided to put the monsters we defeated on the way and the proof of defeat of the goblins.

"I think I'm going to need help accounting for everything, just a moment" - Alissa

Speaking this Alissa calls in 2 more staffs who were resting.

A short time later Alissa finishes checking and counting everything.

"Congratulations, here is the value for the herbs you delivered, this one here is the reward for the monster material and this one is the reward for the mission to clean the city, you can check the value on this paper here" - Alissa

"Thank you" - Milena

Looking at the paper I got more money than we thought we were going to make.

"I need you to give me your badges a little bit" - Alissa

After doing something with the badges, she gives them back to us.

"Congratulations, you are now E, with the amount of herbs you have delivered it is enough to complete the amount of missions to rank up, up to rank C it is possible to rank up just by completing a certain amount of mission of the same rank as you, to rank up to rank C you need to pass a written test and a fight with an examiner" - Alissa

We were able to rank up pretty quickly.

We went back to the mission and told my dad about our day.

Being an adventurer sounds cool, I think I will keep going more often.

Next time we will take Alex and Nevasca with us. We expected to be a little more boring and time consuming, so we didn't take them today.
