Darkness.

Widespread and suffocating.

This is the worst feeling, senseless but aware.

Just you and your thoughts. Well, mine.

I have no idea how long it's been since I got here, but there is something I am sure of. 

I'm dead.

Well I don't see any reason I should talk about it. Wasn't something that noteworthy. So I might as well move on. Move on to what, you say? Well it seems like something has appeared in front of me.

"Done monologuing?"

Why, yes I am.

"Good. Because your time here is almost up."

Why is that?

"You experienced a premature death, hence you will be sent to another planet."

That does seem quite a lot more appealing than this place.

"I feel a need to warn you about this planet, but that information will be known in due time. For now, I would like you to choose skills and abilities from this list. You're about to be sent to a ?̷͓̄?̷̿̒?̵͑̑ classification planet, so you must go prepared."

What a novel development. This situation really does have a striking resemblance to a certain genre.

The 'list' I was seeing(?) was extremely large. It's going to take ages to sort through all of this. 

Is there any way you could shorten this to just show me only the most strong and useful skills?

"I'll have to analyse your thought process and preferences to shorten the list to something you might find useful. I can not personally administer the list for something such as this." 

Go ahead.

"Here is the updated list." 

This is still in the hundreds. Oh well. I'll just skim over it since I'm getting really impatient for some odd reason.

Oh, that doesn't seem very good. I still hate making rushed decisions most the time, even if I'm impatient as of now. 

Okay, I found a few cool ones. First off, a skill called Analyse; this basically allows me to 'Analyse' anything.

...that wasn't enough of an explanation? No, that's literally it. It can show me the details of literally anything. Ranging from the skeletal structure of a monkey or if a day old banana is edible, to the composition of a planet. I mean, I likely won't be using it for that though. Not like I'd understand it. Anyways, onto the next skill.

This is something that looks like it'll be reeaaally op. The ability to create skills or abilities. Yup, quite a find if I do say so myself. 

But from what I can see at the top of this 'list', I'm limited to picking 3 skills/abilities from this list. Oh right, skills and abilities are different things here. Abilities are something that are there from the get go, by that I mean they are in a person from birth and likely won't be seen in any other living being. In short, abilities are (normally) unique, while skills can be gained throughout a person's lifetime. Obviously, I can bypass this by just making another ability for myself, which is contradictive, but I won't question it for now.

I'm not sure what I should get for my 3rd, since I can already make skills for myself. I guess I'll just choose a random staple skill for this scenario. Oh! This'll do. Unlimited Storage. I do hope you can guess what this does, because I'm not explaining it.

Alright! I'm ready! Beam me up (down?).

"Very well, since you have decided on your skills, I will now begin the procedure for your transfer."

You are god right?

I didn't get to confirm who you really are, which is a pretty unwise choice on my part.

"That is how most your species defines me as, yes."

Cool.

"It is time. Farewell young one."
