Chapter Fifty- Adventurers guild.
Walking down the creaking stairs, Ralph and I were called over by Violet who was sitting down with Sydney, the food was already lying bare flat in front of us, and when I say it looked scrumptious, I could not lie, the freshly baked bread which was still slightly steaming made my mouth water.
While chatting away, I got curious and asked. “Hey, do I need anything specific to register at the adventurers guild? Although I have heard of it, I don’t know much about it.” This was true, besides the basic information about the merchant’s guild, adventurers guild, and all the other types of guilds. I hadn’t the slightest clue on how to register or take the quests.
“Well you don’t need much, just your basic information such as your name, and age, oh you also need to pay a fee..” Ralph explained some basic stuff, however, my heart sank when he mentioned fee…
I awkwardly smiled. “Well… I don’t really have any money left, I used the last bit of it last night ordering drinks…” I put my head down in embarrassment.
Ralph laughed, and Sydney giggled, however, violet looked at me and sighed. “Listen here James, I’ll do you this favour once, however.” She got close to me, her moist lips right next to my ear, I could feel her breath tickle my ear. “You will have to pay me back.” I could smell her perfume, it was a max of apple and strawberry, such a mature scent…
How could I control myself at this moment? however, I had no choice and quietly nodded, luckily ralph hadn’t picked up on anything, so I slapped my cheeks together, otherwise, I could ruin my friendship with him. I sighed, It’s not like I don’t have any people to indulge in such things together with.
My mind wandered to Rose, again, just what was she doing at this moment?
I hope she has been writing to Claire and Clara. I wonder if she would be angry with me?> just leaving Claire and Clara like that.
“Well c’mon, let’s go” Ralph got up. And so did the rest of us. Since it had been dark by the time I had gotten to the town last night, I wasn’t able to appreciate the vibrant scenery of the town, although it hadn’t been completely devoid of any life last night, however, seeing this, then last night must have been some sort of stay at home party.
The streets were bustling with life around every corner, children playing carefree together, and the smell of freshly baked goods, the noise of the town gave it an indescribable feeling.
“Surprised?” Ralph asked. “This isn’t even the best part, just wait until we arrive in front of the adventurers guild.”
What had he meant? Was this not the best part of the town? I digress. We continued forward, and unlike me last night going through the sketchy alleys, we took the main roads treading through the many merchant open markets.
The sun only added to the extreme beauty the town held.
It gave off an ancient aura.
While we talked and walked, we eventually came into view of the adventurers guild.
I had heard of them before, yet being in front of one, I gasped. Reading and seeing the same thing were truly completely different.
If reading about this place was like walking to the bedroom with a woman you had just met, then seeing it in person was watching your lover expose her/his bare skin in front of you, the feeling was truly out of this world, it was the difference between heaven and earth.

The dark oak building which gave off a luxurious feeling was awe-inspiring. Just how much money did this cost to build? Just how rich was the adventurers guild?
I thought our family was rich, however, I was just a frog in a well, and the entire family fortune probably couldn’t buy this medium size building.
“Well let’s go in, James stays next to me, I’ll take the lead,” Violet said while opening the large doors to enter the building.
The inside of the building was just as luxurious as the outside, however, it gave off a more wild vibe, many men and women of different ages, ethnicity, sizes, and statuses were accepting quests, cashing in quests for money, and conversating.
This was a completely new experience to me, so I followed Violet’s lead, what shook me was that even Sydney had a composed aura, just how much had these three changed? They were completely different people!
The line was long so it took a while before we were greeted by one of the assistants.
She led us to an empty room
“I have to give it to the adventurers guild, I thought that it would be a rough place, but even the assistants here have a noble aura.” I was quietly whispering to Ralph while we were walking to the room.
He nodded. “I was the same, I thought this would be a rouge place, however coming here” he then started to grin “Even the women are a level above the rest, maybe we could-“ suddenly Ralph was pinched by violet, almost resulting in him almost screaming in pain.
After that, we obediently walked behind Violet while Sydney let out a soft giggle.
We finally arrived at our designated room and were asked to wait a short while before another person would came to carry on the registry process.
“How long will this take?” I asked violet, however she didn’t look at me, and the only response I got was a nip on my arm.
Ralph leaned towards me. “Violet thinks we will lose our adventurers license if we cause trouble, I think she worries too much.” Ralph snickered. “I-“ however before he could let another word out, someone opened the door.
It was an old man, with a greyish set of hair and a well-groomed beard, a scar ran across his eyes, possibly blinding him in that one. Such a fierce-looking and aged face, who was he? He gave off an imposing aura.
I looked from him to Violet, I was shocked, she was sweating profusely.
“Guild master!” her voice trembled.
