CRACK* *CRACK* *CRACK* *BOOM*

In a seemingly apocalyptic world, where the sky was covered by dark clouds roaring with furious thunders and cracks appearing in the very reality itself, stood a singular man on his lonesome surrounding him laid countless corpses of various creatures in what seemed to be the remnants of a lost civilization.

The man wore tattered daoist robes covered in blood stains, he had lost his right arm and injuries covered his entire body . Yet his face showed unprecedented calmness.

"Sigh...is this truly the end. Just like how we flourished over the graves of those before us, I wonder if a new civilization will replace us"the man spoke with what seemed to be acceptance towards death. He lowered his head and then after a moment raised it towards the sky.

" F*ck I should have really gone to the *beeep* that day." The solemn atmosphere disappeared as vulgar words came out of the man's mouth.

*CRACK* *CREAAK*!!!

Suddenly a crack in reality appeared beside the man engulfing him whole as if he didn't exist to begin with.

Divine Jade realm, Central continent, Xin clan

Wahh-wahhh wahhh

(AN- These are the best baby cry I can write)

In the grandest palace of the great xin clan the cries of an infant could be heard along with the heavy rainfall outside.

"Congratulations to the lady it's a healthy boy. "

"Bring him to me" A sweet yet tired voice of a woman filled with anticipation could be heard.

"Here, lady yingyue" The handmaiden passes the infant to lady yue. The lady had skin as fair as the snow, black hair as dark as the night sky and azure eyes reminiscent of the clear blue sky.

The infant with black hair like his mother opened his eyes in his mother's embrace, looking around for a while and finally resting his amethyst eyes upon his mother. His jewels like eyes filled with curiosity contained a mysterious charm.

"Such beautiful eyes..."Lady yingyue smiled as she stared at her son. "This child's name shall be jianyu" Lady yingyue smiles lovingly at her son as she granted him the name xin jianyu.

Hearing this her son widens his eyes as if responding to his mother.

"Looks like the young master likes his name, my lady" the handmaiden flattered her lady quite shamelessly.

"Does he? " Lady yue had a somewhat prideful look on her face.

Unbeknownst to everyone present the little jianyu was filled with bewilderment.

'D-did i get reincarnated? '

------ 5 years later -------

On Amethyst peak of xin family .

"Yu'er come here, it's time for the ceremony to begin"a man with silky black hair, with a strong presence that looked to be in his 30s called out to the boy who was sitting under a tree with his eyes closed. this man was Xin Dongyang the patriarch of the xin family known to be one of the greatest experts of central continent.

The boy opened his eyes and frowned a little. "Grandfather shouldn't you be preparing for the ceremony rather than escorting me."

"Your mother is taking care of the preparations,so shouldn't I as your grandfather be bringing you to the ceremonial hall"

"Ugh... Fine" the boy, xin jianyu sighed as he gave up on arguing with his grandfather xin dongyang as he knew that it would be pointless to argue with someone like his grandfather who has mastered the dao of titanium thick skin.

"Let's go then"

---------------------------------

I, xin jianyu am a reincarnated person, now before you say that this is such a cliche I have something to say. so before I was reincarnated, I had transmigrated as a disciple with no background in one of the greatest sects in the previous world I used to live in, again I know it's an overused cliche but on the other hand instead of being the protagonist(heaven blessed) I was much more of a side character, you know the one that has some relevance to the plot like a teacher or a sect ancestor approving of the hot blooded youth(the protag).

I am not really sure if this is the same world as that one, since there are many differences but at the same time there are also many similarities like spirit roots, cultivation paths etc.

Well anyways, in my previous life I worked my way through the position of an outer disciple, created my own unique cultivation technique by merging spiritual, soul, and will cultivation paths, forged my own dao and became an elder overseeing a peak of the sect. Later, I even became the grand elder(ancestral lord) of the sect you know that one old guy who comes out of his cultivation chambers when the sect is in danger and says 'Junior you dare!!' To the protagonist or speaks some bullshit strokes his beard 'meaningfully' looks into the distance and refuses to elaborate like a chad. Pretty cool right? Well not really.

Before becoming the grand elder I had to do a lot of work since I had triple spiritual roots (also known as false roots), I only became an outer disciple because the roots were of pure quality and my comprehension was extremely strong. Thus, to protect myself in a world filled with murder hobos, long aotians™ and chen fans that have blessed by heavens(known for questionable sponsorships) I had to dedicate my entire being to becoming stronger, I didn't even have a family and if it wasn't for a 'happy little accident' I would have died a virgin at an age that it would have been more embarrassing than your mother showing your naked pictures as a child to your girlfriend.

Well my memories aren't exactly clear, but I can remember bits and pieces of it all and that's why I realize that this world is truly different compared to the one I used to live in.

First of all, this world is divided in many different realms sorted by the maximum cultivation realm one can have in it these realms, those who reached the pinnacle cultivation realm ascend to a higher realm and all of these realms are connected by the heavenly dao(my previous life's world also had one) whereas in my previous life there were multiple worlds connected to one major world through spatial pathways that spread out like a spiders web, the closer a world was to the centre the better the world's resources and talents.

Secondly, the awakening of spiritual roots that are required to absorb the spiritual qi of heaven and earth that is present throughout the world. In my previous world it happened on it's own whereas here they created what they called spiritual root nourishment seal that is placed on young children(mostly rich ones) this creates a cocoon with the best conditions for the roots and physique to develop and protects the embryonic spiritual roots from any harm so tha-.....

"We've arrived yu'er, hmm...what were you thinking about so intently" Xin dongyang asked his grandchild with a soft smile

"Nothing really, I was just a bit nervous" Xin jianyu shook his head in a dismissive manner with a helpless smile.

'Hmm.. I guess no matter how maturely he acts, he is still a child huh. '

"There's no need to worry, you will be fine, you are my grandchild after all" Xin dongyang gave a confident smile as he petted his cute amethyst eyed grandson's head.

I guess being a young master is better than being a random nobody.

-----------------------------

In the ceremonial hall of xin clan countless voices could be heard whispering and muttering.

"So it's finally the day huh."

"I wonder if he will inherit the xin family's flame or water spiritual roots."

"Perhaps he would have mutated spiritual roots like lady yingyue's moon frost spiritual roots"

Suddenly the door to the hall opened and all the whispers stopped as if they never even existed and a man that looked to be in his 30s with long black hair and crimson fiery eyes filled with the arrogance of a ruler, by his side stood a little boy 5 years old with shoulder length ink like dark black hair, amethyst jewel like eyes, sword like eyesbrows and long eyelashes. A face filled with confidence as if all the people present here were beneath him.

one could say that except for his child like round face and height of a pipsqueak he did have the aura of an indifferent immortal.

"yu'er..." Lady yue called out to her precious son with a caring smile.

-*-*-*-*-*--*-*-*-*-*-*--*-*-*-

"yu'er..." My mother, Xin Yingyue known to be the greatest talent in her generation smiled softly as she called my name.

I went along with my grandfather to meet her "Ahem, are the preparations completed?" Grandfather asked after clearing his throat.

"Well someone had to complete the preparations, since a certain someone just ran off pushing all his work onto me" My mother retorted as she glared at grandfather.

"well..... someone had to bring yu'er....." Grandfather answered shamelessly as he turned his gaze away.

'seriously this guy has no shame'

"Sigh..... Whatever, let's begin the ceremony" Mother sighed giving up as she too knew of grandfather's immortal emperor level shamelessness and thus asked him to just start the ceremony.

"Well then, let us start the ceremony" grandfather declared the beginning of the ceremony.

The ceremony was actually quite simple, there was an array laid on the ground with a crystal ball at the centre. The children would stand near the crystal as the spiritual seal on their roots would be removed causing the qi gathered in the seal to flow out , this qi will be gathered by the array and show the information regarding the spiritual roots and physique through the crystal.

One by one the children of all the different elders went through the ceremony, but most weren't all that memorable except two. The first one was a girl with emerald eyes, brown hair, and cheery smile she had highly pure wood spiritual roots alongside water spiritual roots and life peach physique or something. The other one had light blue hair and eyes, she had mutated yin-ice spiritual roots which made her a possible disciple of my mother. Well, back in my sect they would most likely end up as inner-court disciple or perhaps low ranking core disciple if they had high comprehensive abilities... probably.... maybe I am not really sure since I don't know much about their physique and stuff.

Finally it was my turn, I went to the crystal and put my hand over it. Just as my spiritual seal was opened, the crystal began to glow a bright blue color with a light green tint. Everyone was surprised since nobody expected it to be water spiritual root. Just then a great elder muttered in shock.

"Dao of life...the spiritual root contains fragments of dao itself! "

Shocking everyone, these words caused a fierce(npc like) discussion amongst the elders. But before these discussions could even start properly the crystal started to glow again.

Viloet-crimson flames started to swirl arround the water that contained fragments of dao without getting extinguished. This time it was my grandfather who was shocked "..dao of death and relentless sword dao heart" He muttered in disbelief.

An uproar started in the entire hall. The elders started to discuss the bright future of the sect and how their young master was an unparalleled genius.

But the person at the center of this uproar had some rather unique thoughts about his situation

'Shit...I am f*cked! '
