She waited for the clerk to wrap the clothes in a paper bag. The clerk handed them to Anna respectfully with two hands. After she paid, Anna picked a bottle from the string of potions and placed it on the counter.
“I see your dark circles are a bit heavy, do you not sleep well at night?” Anna smiled. “This is a potion that has just been made. Drink it before going to bed at night to ensure that you will sleep well all night and sleep till daybreak. I heard that there are also some cosmetic benefits. Remember to drink it tonight, it may not be effective after tomorrow.”
The clerk had already noticed the long string of bottles Anna was holding. She was very curious, but was embarrassed to ask. After hearing that they were potions, she was happy and surprised at first, but then hesitated: “How much do I need to pay for this potion?” If it was two or three silver coins, she could still afford it. Anymore than that and she would have to carefully reconsider.
“No need, just take it as thank you for your service today.” Anna smiled and waved. She took the clothes she bought and left.
“Thank you Madam Mage, you are such a good person!” the clerk said excitedly behind her, “You must come back often, we frequently have women’s clothing that are very cost-effective in our store!”
“Got it~.” Anna replied from a distance.
There were a total of two bottles of sleep aid potions. Anna prepared a bottle for Givina. Givina’s grandson was still young and would not have sleep problems, so she had one more bottle and she gave it to the clerk. The potion couldn’t sit for too long, and the effects of drinking two bottles at a time would not double. It was better to be a good person, who knew if there would be other gains to doing so.
The clothes in that store were okay. The clerk probably knew some wealthy people among the commoners. When people were older, they might have sleep problems of this kind. When the time comes, the clerk would use it and help recommend her to others, saying that she helped her to solve her maddening sleep problem. Ten to twenty silver coins for a bottle of potion was not asking too much, right?
There were only five kinds of raw materials needed for sleeping potions, which were all five commonly found plants. She didn’t need to pay to prepare a small amount. For a larger amount of preparation, she would need to buy the raw materials from the pharmacy, but it was not expensive. The raw material processing required of a bottle of potion cost not even a silver coin.
The raw materials for the potions that ordinary people could use were not expensive; what was more expensive was the preparation process. Mages were a scarce resource after all, of course there would be a premium.
Anna finally saw how easy it was for mages to make money, and she was full of hope for her financial future.
After she went back, she say much to Givina before giving the potion to the other party. She left after a brief introduction. These potions were harmless, even if Givina remembered incorrectly and didn’t drink it the right way, it would be fine.
At noon, Anna and Natalie made an appointment to have lunch in the cafeteria, and then went to the library together.
Beginning today, Anna would lead Natalie to the battlefield of the promotion assessment. According to her plan, she and Natalie would finish reading all the books on the book list within ten days, and then they would begin the special targeted practice training.
She still had to set aside time to make money, otherwise it would be too sad to have no money for the exam.
The two chose a corner of the library. As directed by Anna, Natalie read the remaining chapters of the book from yesterday albeit with a moping face. Her whole person shrank into a small ball, looking extremely pitiful.
Anna had no sympathy for this. If she couldn’t pass the exam, she had to marry an old man, how could Natalie not give it her absolute all? So no matter how pitiful Natalie seemed, she was currently a ruthless study machine.
Anna picked up the book and was about to immerse herself in the state of learning, when she suddenly heard someone pull out a chair and sit down on a table beside them.
She didn’t intend to care about it, but Natalie kicked her under the table, and when she raised her head, she motioned with her mouth, motioning for Anna to look aside, her face anticipating a good show.
Anna looked sideways. “Raymond” sat at the adjacent table as if rooted, holding a book in his hand. He looked as if he was reading intently, but…
The demon in his body was clearly staring at her!
Natalie kicked Anna again and winked at her when she looked over.
Anna rolled her eyes and pointed at her book, asking her to read earnestly.
Natalie stuck out her tongue and looked down at her book with a bitter expression.
Anna just thought that the atmosphere at this moment was very weird; it really felt more and more like a campus romance? Pretending to meet by chance in the library, “girlfriends” winking and stirring up trouble…
Anna acted like she hadn’t seen him; anyway, she knew that her Western-Fantasy campus life would definitely have demon’s forcible participation, as long as he didn’t do anything, she could ignore him.
Anna had just read two pages of a book when a slender white hand reached out from her side. The hand knocked on the table, and then a note was passed over.
Anna: “……???”
Natalie wasn’t concentrating on reading at all. When she noticed the movement there, she suddenly widened her eyes, looked at Anna curiously, and then at “Raymond.”
Anna looked at the note by her hand and fell into deep thought. What kind of BG romance was this? It even had note passing?
She thought for a while, then stretched out her hand to push the note back without looking at it. She whispered: “I refuse.” Anna didn’t care what was written inside; she had finished the introductory courses anyway, so she didn’t need to deliberately please the demon anymore.
Rothgarr suddenly became inexplicably angry.
He hadn’t even proposed yet, what was she rejecting?!
