After Natalie retreated to a safe distance, Anna stared at the demon, thinking quickly about what to do to have even a sliver of a chance of landing a hit on him.
It was definitely not enough to cast the “Heaven’s Punishment” nonchalantly like before. She had been afraid that Natalie would not be able to react, and so deliberately slowed down the speed of the spell.
Perhaps this could be used to catch the demon off guard.
The demon had never seen her cast spells, and he didn’t know her normal spell-casting speed. The battle just now with her and Natalie would be what he would use for his benchmark judgment, and this would affect his expectations of her spell-casting.
But even with such considerations, Anna basically had no hope of landing a hit on the demon. She would consider it amazing if she could even catch him a little off guard.
She was just a mage’s disciple. Right now, he was almost a three-star mage, and he himself had to be above four stars. If she could land a finger on him, he would have lived his life in vain.
“What are you waiting for?” Rothgarr saw Anna not moving for a long time, as if hesitating. He sneered, “Could it be you’re worried about hurting me?”
Anna thought to herself, she was clearly worried that she would not be able to hit him!
“Then here I come?” Anna announced just like she was fighting with Natalie, and then slowly condensed the thunder element.
But her thunder element hadn’t even been condensed yet before a thin golden thread shot out, instantly dispersing the thunder element in her hand.
Anna looked up at the demon in amazement, her face full of disbelief.
Hold on, such a big powerful demon like him still needed to attack a mage disciple like her? Shouldn’t he just stand there and let her attack!
Rothgarr didn’t feel shameful about attacking a mage’s disciple. Instead, he sneered and said: “Don’t give your opponent a chance to interrupt your spell casting.”
Anna: “…”
She wanted to refute, and had enough points to do so, but what the demon said was too reasonable. She felt it was wrong to start an argument like this.
“I’ll keep that in mind…” Anna looked at the demon barbarily. He wouldn’t interrupt her every time she was casting a spell, would he? It was impossible for her to increase the speed of condensing natural elements in such a short time!
It stood to reason that fighting against a mage’s disciple should be extremely boring for him, but at this moment, he felt inexplicably happy and looked forward to Anna’s performance.
Rothgarr curled his lips and smiled, with malicious intent in his smile.
It didn’t matter if she was timid, he would help her.
Knowing that the demon would not interrupt herself again, Anna began to condense the natural elements. According to her previous experience during practice, she had enough mental energy to sustain high-intensity energy consumption of about five minutes. If she was slow, she would certainly never have the chance to land a hit on the demon. And so, her chance would be within these five minutes!
The two were about three meters apart, and when the lightning flashed in Anna’s hand, Rothgarr didn’t do anything.
Anna breathed a sigh of relief and suddenly sent the lightning out.
But almost at the same time as she moved, Rothgarr also took a step to the right, just to avoid Anna’s first attack, and then the soil under his feet rolled slightly, sending him in Anna’s direction.
Anna actually didn’t let go of her control of this group of thunder and lightning, even if it would consume her mental power rapidly. Seeing the demon coming towards her, she was very nervous. She thought he would just stand there and let her fight, and at most, block her attacks here and there.
The demon approached her with an intent to fight, and this sense of oppression was enough to cause panic in anyone.
Her mental strength slackened, and right after forming a ball of thunder and lightning, she lost control of it and it flew straight at the demon.
Rothgarr didn’t even look at the back. He tilted his head to avoid the inaccurately shot thunder and lightning ball. The soil rolling under his feet quickly narrowed the distance between him and Anna. He smiled unconsciously when he saw the fright on her face: “If I wanted to kill you, you would be dead by now.”
The distance between the two of them was less than one meter. Anna was face to face with Rothgarr’s sneer when she suddenly smiled.
Rothgarr froze for a moment, and in the next second, Anna’s left hand behind her back suddenly shot out a ball of flames. It might have been because the natural elements were not condensed well, but for some reason, the ball of flames spread out and dozens of individual flames shot toward Rothgarr.
Rothgarr was a little surprised, but this was naturally not a threat to him. He easily changed the direction of movement of the soil under his feet, and quickly retreated. The flames didn’t even touch the corners of his clothes.
But Anna’s attacks didn’t stop there. Both of her hands condensed natural elements at the same time, and she attacked Rothgarr one after another. She even chased him boldly when he backed away, throwing out the spells in her hand on him like it was free.
Whether or not he was hit was one thing; at least the sound and light effects were full, and Natalie, who was standing not far away, was stunned.
