Rejected the Demon’s Marriage Proposal Thousands of Times Chapter 30.1
For Your Own Good (1)
When Rothgarr recovered from his dizziness and opened his eyes, he and Anna were the only ones left in the room. The two had already left when he was recovering from the dizziness.
He stared at Anna, who was by his bedside, looking at him with concern. After a while, when he suppressed the feeling of nausea, he said, coldly, "You actually dared to push me!"
Anna also felt that she was pretty amazing. She actually lived to the day where she would dare to push the demon, who was terribly scary.
“Esteemed Holy Son, I did it for your own good." Anna pretended to frown, and said worriedly, "I know that you are not feeling well now, so that's why you are hurting people with your words. This is too far from your usual manner. I thought that once you get better, you might regret your impulsiveness today. Please forgive me for making a presumptuous decision."
When Anna said this, she was not only rationalizing her behavior, but also reminding the demon, don't let others become suspicious! Although, he might not have cared at all.
"For my own good?" Rothgarr sneered.
Anna looked very sincere. "Yes, you are the esteemed Holy Son I admire and respect. I don't want others to misunderstand you."
Rothgarr felt that he shouldn't believe Anna's words, but she was so sincere, and for a while, he was a little hesitant.
Did she really not push him to give Ulysses a graceful way to back out of an embarrassing situation?
Although Anna was very brave a moment ago, she inevitably felt a little afraid after what she had done, and was worried that the demon would really fly off the handle. Not only did she say a bunch of good things, she also hurriedly twisted the cotton cloth and gently wiped the cold sweat from the face of the demon: " I'm really sorry, please have a good rest."
Rothgarr kept staring at her while Anna wiped his forehead of cold sweat. She did not look at his eyes, only wiped with concern. After wiping the sweat, she pulled a blanket over and covered him with it, then put away the small table on the bed as well as the uneaten food.
Seeing her busying herself to serve him, her actions did seem a bit sincere.
But when he remembered that when Parrish and Ulysses were still here, and Anna didn't take his hint, Rothgarr felt that her sincerity at the moment was very fake.
Rothgarr stared at her and continued, "But I got a headache because you pushed me and I can’t move."
He meant for her to feed him.
Anna would have never agreed, but it was different now. She had just pushed him so hard. In order to coax him to temporarily calm his anger, she had to reluctantly feed him.
The small table on the bed had been put away by Anna. Since it was her who was doing the feeding, there was no need to take it out again. She helped the demon up first, then filled a porcelain bowl with some bacon, eggs, and fish. She sat on the edge of the bed, and held a piece of still warm fish near the demon's mouth.
Rothgarr actually thought that Anna would ignore his hints like before; he did not expect that she would really feed him.
Right now, he was leaning on the bed, his head still dizzy. He felt a warm touch on his lips, and on top of being hungry, he put down all pretenses and opened his mouth to eat the fish.
Anna felt like it was her first time observing this demon so closely.
The appearance of the Holy Son was very beautiful. His long silver hair looked so soft; she wanted to touch it and feel its silky smoothness. And because the demon was hidden in the Holy Son's body, his handsome appearance gave people a gloomy and evil feeling.
In Anna’s eyes, the demon was like a shadow just above the Holy Son's head. At first glance, it looked like a spirit was behind him. Coupled with his dark and evil temperament, when she saw him the first time, she felt that she was watching a horror movie; it was extremely scary.
But after looking at him for a long time, she got used to it. Gradually, she could ignore his gloomy presence, and even secretly observe his appearance carefully.
Except for a pair of goat horns and a pair of blood-red eyes, his appearance was no different from that of a human being. He was even handsome, and his skin was delicate as if he had walked out of a manga.
Anna was distracted and fed him the entire contents of the bowl. She looked at the demon's face and felt that his complexion was still not very good, so she asked: "Esteemed Holy Son, do you want more?"
Rothgarr said, "That’s enough."
His head was still uncomfortable, and he might really vomit if he ate anymore.
Anna thought for a while, and went to get the glass of milk, but before she could pass him the milk, Rothgarr's expression changed drastically. "Take it away!"
Anna was taken aback. She looked at the almost green face of the demon, and quickly took away the milk. Then, she immediately poured water and fed it to the demon.
After all, milk has a certain smell. When one feels dizzy and uncomfortable, and if they are in a critical state, it is indeed possible to vomit at the first smell of milk.
