The entire process of creating the most advanced prosthetic in the world took leon three days mostly because the mechanical wires took him a day to acquire. the hospital took a small fee to install the prosthetic while putting eric under anesthesia. he woke up a few hours later and had a hilarious expression when he groggily stood on both of his feet and froze when it registered. the doctor who installed the prosthetic kept asking where it came from due to how stupidly ahead of literally everything on the market the thing was.

It took eric a few hours to get over how thrilled he was being able to actually feel the ground under both of his feet. "can't thank you enough for this boss , you need anything just say the word." eric said honestly. "it was part of the deal don't worry about it , what was your semblance? need to know so i can figure out what suites you best." leon said while the two of them sat in a fancy restaurant. "tremor , it let me send out controlled shockwaves when either i or something else struck me." eric explained while tearing into a steak.

"Retaliation type huh , not bad at all. ever used the tremor on yourself to create a stronger tremor?" leon asked while calmly forking a bit of pasta. eric froze mid bite "now that you mention it that might actually work , good idea boss." he said excitedly. "we need more people before i can get started in the shadier parts of the city." leon said calmly. eric nodded "i might know a couple of people in need of second chances." he said seriously. eric wasn't lying either there were quite a few disabled hunters in the city down on their luck.

Time passed after that and a name had risen to prominence in the underworld of vale as the guy who got things done but had a clear bottom line , the grim devil. leon accumulated power , wealth and resources at a rapid pace thanks to the power of the deal. no one double crossed leon after the first few people were devoured by bloody red energy chains. leon even made friends with the spider organization that had their fingers in every pie. qrow had learned of leons activities at some point and confronted him about it.

Leon made it clear that he didn't just maliciously attack people or even do any of the worse things that existed in that side of the world. leons group dubbed the devil's den helped far more than they harmed as he pointed out the frankly stupid amount of disabled hunters who had come to work under his umbrella. qrow eventual admitted that leon was right but that he didn't want to hear about the organization hitting the wrong sort of crime. leon had even opened a nightclub that served as the hub for his activities named after the group itself.

Leon ran a tight ship with the activities of his group as he had every activity logged on a secure unhackable scroll that he stored in a spot only he knew. it came as quite a surprise to leon when the headmaster of beacon himself showed up at his club seeking an audience. leon sat on the thick leather chair with ozpin himself siting on the nearby armchair of the office that leon used exclusively for meetings. ozpin stared at leons eyes for a moment before addressing leon "it was quite hard to believe when qrow spoke of you and your , special traits after he found you." ozpin said calmly.

And this is the part were you try and admonish me for entering this line of business at such a young age right?" leon asked sarcastically. ozpin chuckled "quite the contrary , i very much approve of your actions , the underworld has existed for as long as humanity itself , i know better than to hope crime would simply vanish. so when someone with a clear moral code and the mind to harness that chaotic element of society shows up i can appreciate it. it also helps that you tend to give people second chances for a simple deal , i believe the phrase was?" ozpin asked rhetorically.

"I admit when you brought up qrow i had thought he had sent you to convince me to leave this business." leon said honestly. ozpin smiled and shook his head "he only wants the best for you , you know." he said calmly. leon nodded " i am aware , but someone needs to rule the shadows and i just so happened to fit the bill , but enough about that i doubt you are here to talk about such a thing." leon changed the subject.
