Leon spent three weeks alone before anyone showed up at his cave having apparently read his sign. during this time he had expanded the cave entrance as well as his living space carefully with the rock smasher. the entrance was just slightly big enough for a grown man to crawl through since leon was worried about the monsters getting in if it was bigger. the room of the cave though got the biggest increase as it was now close to twelve feet from corner to corner with a low ceiling that he used two fully extended crutches to support.

This expansion only took leon three days to finish which was quite good considering he only worked for the first three hours after he woke up. after those three hours leon moved to excess stone out of the cave before hunting monsters. he had discovered a total of four types of the monsters after hunting them for a week. the werewolf type was the most common followed by a bear type monster. the last two types were much less common as the first was the rabbit things and the second terrified leon when he spotted it as it was a huge bird type monster that was easily the size of a car.

He hadn't even attempted to attack the bird monster but from what he could tell the rabbit monster was worth a quarter of the werewolf monster in terms of exp. the bear monster was worth about three werewolves though and were slow making his drop attack method work very well making them his preferred targets. leon had even figured out one of the uses for the life force he took from his kills. if he burned it away it raised all of his stats slightly depending on how much he burnt.

Thanks to this discovery leon had managed to raise his stats to c but they seemed to have stopped rising after that despite his efforts. what leon didn't realize was that despite what his stats said his body was only four and as such had a limit to what it body could take. c ranked stats was the absolute limit his body could safely contain without ruining his future and so the falnas safety feature had been activated. to be honest had the situation not been dire leon wouldn't have regained his personality until he turned six since that was the optimal time to start training.

This wasn't something that the being who reincarnated him planned but a random twist of fate. unless the being wanted to have the awkward conversation about why leon died again without any input on his part early awakening was the only option. this meant the inbuilt safety features of the falna reared it's ugly head when if everything went as planned leon wouldn't have seen it at all. as recompense for this error the being manipulated a certain traveler to change his mind and head to leons village.

Once leon figured out that he couldn't increase his stats for some reason he still hunted but this time to stockpile exp and life force. after hunting for five hours a day leon spent the rest of the day watching the village for people bored out of his mind. had it not been for the c ranked magic stat leon wouldn't have been able to focus so much but since he only had one directional thinking he managed. leon followed this pattern for two whole weeks of what he considered self torture from sheer boredom before he woke up to someone yelling into the entrance to the cave.

"Hello , is anyone alive in here!?" the man yelled the question into the small cave that he only found thanks to the weathered sign at the village and the blue tarp over its entrance. the cave had signs of human activity but he was confused why the entrance was so small. this confusion was cleared out when he heard the voice in the cave yell back. "YES!" it was a childs voice he could tell having heard a similar one not more than two weeks ago from his niece.

The man heard the sound of footsteps coming through the tunnel and he backed away while standing at the ready since some grim were known to mimic people. what came out of the tunnel was entirely different than anything he expected though. he watched as a small very dirty faunus child no more than four with the most misleading features he could imagine walked out of the cave sword point first. it was easy to see from the wariness in the boys odd red eyes that he had been hiding here for a good amount of time and took nothing for granted.

"Who are you , did you find my message , are there more people as well?" leon bombarded the black haired person with questions eager for some kind of conversation. "chill out kid i'm not going anywhere i promise but yes i did find your message , my name is qrow by the way." qrow said patiently. "odd name but who am i to judge?" leon said with a shrug. qrow raised an eyebrow "if my names odd then lets see you do better." he said with a small smirk at leon's sass. "vermilion drake , but i go by leon." leon said with a proud look.

Qrow raised his hands in surrender "yep you win that name is awesome." he said honestly thinking so. "so you wanna come in , its kinda exposed out here." leon says while looking around cautiously. "can i even fit in that hole?" qrow asked noting leon's caution but not blaming him at all. leon nodded "if you crawl , or crouch walk you should be fine , had to make the entrance small to keep out the monsters." leon said walking back into the cave.
