No one opted out of the summoning since it was far too tempting to get a familiar that was very powerful like a dragon. leon could tell what the class was thinking but since he had already explained how the outcome was decided he left it alone. "alright then , since you are all willing to summon a familiar each of you will temporarily place any electronic devices that you don't want fried into the plastic bins outside the security circle." he said calmly. "first up , andrew anderson" leon said and the boy stepped out and put his scroll and watch into a plastic bin.

"Follow me into the ritual area." leon said before walking through the opaque dome. leon found it funny how the boy had closed his eyes and stretched out his hands to check for solid objects as he walked through the dome. "you done being dramatic?" leon asked with a smirk. the boy opened his eyes but froze at what he saw. leon couldn't blame him either since the summoning circle was like a huge dense circle of black writing. it was so complex it made the first two look like children's scribbles compared to string theory.

"The process is simple walk to the circle and pour your energy into it until it lights up then wait. if you don't summon some form of eldritch monstrosity you will then drip a single drop of blood on the circle to bind whatever the familiar is." leon explained seriously. the boy gulped nervously but stepped next to the circle and crouched down to put his hand on it. soon the circle began to glow and a small orb of light roughly the size of an infant burst into existence in the center before fading to reveal the familiar.

The creature looked like a white tiger cub with leopard spots but the biggest difference was the whiskers that were as long as its body and feather like at the ends. "coeurl kitten , top low danger rating , carnivore with mild electrical abilities." leon said calmly. "is that good?" andrew asked cautiously. leon smiled and nodded "yes it's a great creature to have as a familiar , go ahead and drip so blood on the circle to bind it." he said reassuringly. the boy did so and from the full body flinch that came after the blood sank into the coeurl kitten the bond was successful.

"take your familiar and go send in the next student please." leon said and andrew grabbed the confused kitten and left the dome. three students summoned their familiars with various different creatures showing up none of which were normal animals. leon figured it had something to do with how beacons students were all very talented due to the strict requirements to be accepted into the school. obviously there were a very small percentage of students who cheated their way into the school but those were very rare. up till now the only one leon has met was jaune but even he was pretty talented and so fit in fairly easily.

After those three came jaune's turn to summon a familiar and he nervously followed leons instruction and seemed to mentally be praying for something good. leon would have to assume jaune's prayer worked be what he summoned was a small green creature with black marks under its eyes and a red diamond shape on its chest. "larvitar , mid high danger rating , geovore with the ability to evolve two times." leon said with a wide smile. "geovore? mid high danger rating?" jaune asked confused.

"Geovore means it consumes minerals as it's main food source so feeding it won't be an issue for you. the mid high danger rating is to document how powerful it has the potential to grow and reach. it's an exceptional familiar , go ahead and bind it before you send in the next student." leon said calmly. leon hadn't expected a pokemon to show up much less a pseudo legendary like a larvitar. apparently jaune had far more talent than leon had realized but the innate pride of the tyranitar line would do well to boost jaune's own confidence which he desperately needed.

The rest of students in the class summoned their familiars and surprisingly enough none of them set off the the evil prevention safety measure. the creatures summoned by the students each had various levels of danger with the highest being only a couple steps bellow his own. this familiar belonged to ruby unsurprisingly as she summoned another elder dragon , velkhana. hers was also a whelp like leon's but the need it symbolized couldn't be any clearer , she was too friendly and naïve and needed to be more cold and proud of herself.
