  , however, decided that it was better to go check it out. If something was wrong, it wouldn't be fun to wake up tomorrow because his neighbor had gone crazy and murdered someone. He quickly got dressed, took one of his shoes, locked the door and made his way to the balcony. On his way there, he looked at the neighbors' window once again and saw the figure of a young woman, leaning against the railing as she gazed outside. Her profile appeared calm, almost ethereal.

"Hello," he called out to her.

She immediately spun around to look at him.

Even from afar, Renix recognized her face. Even though he hadn't seen her in three years, she was unmistakably the same person. He hadn't expected her to show up here. However, now that she was right in front of him, her presence somehow gave him a sense of comfort.

He hesitated before speaking again. "Did you come here just to watch the fireworks?"

"No," she replied with a smile. "Actually, I was hoping for a chance to speak to you."

"Okay..." he answered unsurely. "How did you find me? Did your parents send you?"

"No, I went to look for you myself."

"Really?" he asked surprised.

Her smile faltered slightly. "Yes. Are you disappointed?"

"I'm not sure..." he confessed. "But it doesn't matter to me anymore."

He didn't understand what she meant by that statement. For some reason, he found it hard to believe it.

"I don't think I will ever be able to accept my mistakes or move on from my past," she said with a sigh. "I guess I'm always stuck in a constant state of regret. What I did to you was unforgivable. To be honest, I don't even remember what exactly happened."

"That's because I erased it out of my memory when I was fifteen." He could feel himself getting angry. He didn't even try to stop it this time.

"I'm sorry," she whispered. "If you still care about me-"

"-Then you shouldn't have done what you did to me," interrupted Jihoon. "
