Chapter 20: 20

Renix grabbed another slice and ran out of the room. When he reached the top floor, he heard noises coming from his dad's bedroom. He knocked on the door and said softly, "I know you can hear me, sir, but I have a new uniform, okay? You're welcome to borrow it if you want. I don' think it'll fit."

The sound inside stopped for a moment and then came back. After a while, his father said, "Fine. Go put your uniform on. We'll eat in ten minutes."

Renix slipped inside the bathroom. He looked at himself in the mirror. He had pale skin, like milk chocolate, and brown hair that he cut short to disguise his appearance. He hated the color pink so it suited his complexion well. His eyes seemed green too, though. But that was just an ordinary eye color. It had no special meaning.

While waiting for his uniform, he decided to play some video games in his room instead.
