Chapter 7: 7

 It took a second for him to recognize the girl standing next to him in her mid twenties, wearing a denim jacket over a tank top and skinny jeans.

"Yeah," he heard her say after a pause. "My mom is going to be proud of me too." She smiled at him, which was something he hadn't seen yet today.

They both stared at each other until another person came out of the stage area. After another minute of staring at each other, a guy, who was probably around his age, came on stage followed by some music. After listening carefully for a moment, Jihoon concluded that he had never listened to the piece before; at least, he thought he hadn't.

When the song was over, the guy gave a polite bow and exited the stage area. While watching him leave through the door, Jihoon wondered why he didn't want to introduce himself instead of leaving immediately after his performance. The music was rather good, after all, and he probably had been curious about how they would sound after listening to it for so long. Maybe he was shy... Or maybe the guy simply didn't like talking in public. Although it wasn't that big of a deal anyway, since they probably wouldn't be seeing each other again, Jihoon thought it was interesting that he' d been wondering whether they would see each other again.

The other performers left shortly after. When the room cleared out and Jihoon started walking toward the door, his eyes caught sight of a familiar pair of green ones standing in front of the exit.

"Good evening, Junhui!" Jihoon greeted him warmly.
