Chapter 4: Mr. Kaal

Leo was in deep sleep. Even while sleeping he could feel that his body is still weak. The awakening had taken a huge toll on his body. Even Bella was concerned about him, but she didn't say anything.

Having a conversation with Bella, he was sure about one thing though, after his core awakening his body should have healed by now, but again he was a special case. Because of the weakness, he was feeling inside his body, he has been feeling sleepy all the time. That was the reason he went to bed just having his breakfast.

**In a deep rumbling voice** "Brat..."

"Brat... can you hear me?"

Upon hearing this deep voice Leo found himself in a pitch dark place, it was like he was back in the dark sphere. He was trying to move his limbs but it was useless.

After some struggle, Leo gave up on moving and asked, "Who are you? what do you want from me?"

**Deep voice**

"Hmm... so the telepathic link has been established, you can hear me... that's a good sign."

With all the things that had happened with Leo since yesterday, it was not surprising for him to finally meet someone who can explain his existence. He would have been surprised if there was no one to answer his questions.

Leo has experienced death once while living his life as Nick. His life was nothing to be proud of. It was just an utter mess. All because he always tried to be good with people. But the moment he got a new life as Leo he decided not to be pushed back again. He swore to be strong. He already had strong willpower what he lacked was a strong body.

Hearing the voice Leo calmed himself down and asked with a straight face,

"Yes, I can hear you"

After a moment of pause, the voice said, "Brat, don't you know the concept of fear?"

"Fear? what should I fear?" Leo has seen a lot of downfalls in his previous life and one thing he learned from all his failures was confidence is the key to all the locks. He was uncomfortable but he will never show it on his face. He may look like a 15-year-old kid but inside he is already in his late 30s.

"Hahaha... I like your attitude, normal people will go straight crazy if they suddenly hear voices in their head while they are sleeping, but you are acting tough"

"Yes... ordinary people with ordinary life would have gone crazy"

"Hahaha... So you think you are extraordinary?"

"I don't know if I am ordinary or extraordinary, but one thing is for sure If someone as strong as you is personally trying to create a mental connection with me. I am not ordinary and also you just mentioned 'normal people will go crazy...' right? doesn't that exclude me from the normal category"

**Deep voice**

"My name is Kaal, and I am here to help you"

A green orb of light started to appear inside the darkness. Leo noticed that he can sense his limbs but still cannot move them. "Looks like this Kaal person has decided to take a shape of a shiny green ball, well... it doesn't matter as long as this shiny little ball can help me" Leo was thinking in his head.

"It's rude to call someone who is trying to help a shiny little ball you know! I had to work hard just so that we can be in this mana space"

Leo was shocked, this was the first time Leo's facial expression was changed since he was pulled inside this so-called mana space "You can hear my thoughts?"

"Yes..., don't you remember, I created a telepathic link between us!"

Leo calmed himself down, he wanted to ask why he cannot hear Kaal's thoughts? but somehow he can guess the answer 'because of the power difference. This Kaal guy is something else, If the pressure he felt from Bella was terrifying then this guy is a real monster.

"Hahaha... brat, I am not surprised you reached [1 upper star] level so easily, and here you are saying I am a monster."

Leo was prepared for this, because this time he knew Kaal know what he is thinking but what surprised Leo was [1 upper star] level, from the moment he awakened his mana core all he felt was weakness within his body. He recalled the conversation he had with Bella and he knew a 1 upper star level was not a joke because Bella was also a 1 upper star level warrior. She didn't tell him much about her past but she mentioned she was Commander of a small elite troop before Leo was placed in her care.

"What are you talking about? all I can feel is weakness how can I have a power of a [1 upper star] warrior?"

"A person can sense the combat potential of another person only when they reach 1 upper star level, I hope you know what I am implying"

"Yes... I sensed unknown pressure from Mother Bella, Anglica, and from Kaal the moment I was brought in this mana space." Leo was thinking in his head.

"Hahaha... See that's what I was talking about"

Leo started to have a lot of questions in his head, and he wanted to ask them but before he can speak Kaal cut him off,

"Boy I know your questions, but I don't have much time. This is our first telepathic connection and it's still weak. So how about this you can ask 2 questions right now then I will teach you few things which will help you survive"

Leo wanted to argue but he knew survival was more important, so for now, he was thinking about how to make use of these two questions.

"Okay, then can you please tell me why Mother Bella was not able to sense my power? I mean she is also a 1 upper star warrior so she should be able to sense the power in me right?"

"Yes, you are right that woman can sense power but the answer you are thinking is correct, right now you do not have any mana inside you because of this people cannot feel anything from you."

Hearing Kaal's explanation Leo understood why Bella was so concerned every time she saw him, she must be scared that I can never cultivate as I do not possess mana "Hmmm... okay so can you tell me why I was bought to this world"

"Hahaha... brat, I thought your next question will be 'how can you get  mana to cultivate', but you surprised me again with that question"

"Didn't you just tell me you'll teach me a few tricks after the 2 questions, I hope mana cultivation is part of those tricks"

Kaal was silent thinking about Leo 'This boy is very sharp, but what else do I expect from their son. After all, he is the true King'

"Mr. Kaal...?"

"Yes, I am here... for now all I can tell you is that you are not bought here... you belong here"

Kaal's answer just raised more questions in Leo's head, but he knew he had to hold onto these questions till next time.

"Boy, I don't have much time, quickly get in a meditation position place both your hands on your abdomen, and pam up!" Leo knew about this stance it was a typical meditation position in his world. But the problem was he cannot move.

"Mr. Kaal, you see... I cannot move my limbs.."

"Hahaha... I forgot you don't have any mana inside you right now, don't worry once I force my mana inside you, that should help you move"  saying that the green light orb started to expand it looked like it was absorbing Leo.

Leo can feel the moments in his limbs now so without wasting any more time he started to meditate.

"Good now try and focus, I will guide my mana inside your body and force out mana from your mana core, the process will be a little painful but bear with me", and just in a few seconds, Leo was feeling immense pain. It was worse than the headache he had yesterday. "Brat concentrate, the pain will pass just focus... just a few more minutes."

After 10 minutes of excruciating pain which felt like 10 years to Leo, Leo started to feel a warm sensation throughout his body starting from his abdomen, slowly moving to his lungs, then his heart, then his legs, his hands, and finally in the center of his head. The pain started to fade away.

"Good... good... Brat, Now I will teach you how to channel mana from your core, as you are already in the 1 upper star level all your chakra reserves are functioning well, so all you need to do is feed them your mana the way I will teach you"

Leo nodded, still maintaining his mediation position, his eyes were closed. "Good the hard part is over now, all you have to do is focus and memories the way mana is flowing from your core to your chakra reserves"

After what felt like 15 min and repeating the mana cultivation method multiple times, Leo was able to repeat it without a flaw he had memorized the flow.

For a moment even Leo was surprised how was he able to do all this so naturally. [Only time will give the answers.]

The green light started to dim and again took the shape of the orb it originally was. Leo was now in a meditation position and his whole body was glowing with a faint aura of red.

Slowly Leo opened his eyes and noticed he had light tone muscles on his body which was not there before. what was strange was that there was a small glowing dragon skull tattoo on his chest.

Before Leo can ask about it Kaal said, "That is the king's mark on your chest, it should only be visible when you are using your full strength."

Leo nodded "Thank you, Mr. Kaal"

"Now one last thing, I will seal your powers so no one can sense your true cultivation stage. You can release the seal whenever you want. But make sure not to release the power in front of warriors whose cultivation level is 1 upper star level or higher this also include that Bella woman, at least not until  you trust them with your life."

Leo knew what he said was for his good, if someone finds out that his cultivation stage was a [1 upper star] level, things can get difficult for him. So having a seal on his power will help him at least until he finds a solution to this power.

Without further ado, Kaal placed a seal on Leo's cultivation level, now if anyone tries to sense his power they will think he is a junior-level warrior. "One last thing boy, don't stop your mana cultivation, You have a long way to go."

"This is your mana zone space, now that you have mana inside you, accessing this mana space should not be a problem. You can practice your mana cultivation in this space, even if you break through your cultivation level, no one will be able to sense it in the outside world"

There were a lot of things that were confusing for Leo but he had to find the answers to them on his own so he bowed his head "Thank you for everything Mr. Kaal"

"Hahaha... now you are being so polite huh... Do not let all my hard work go in vain, work hard, and we will meet again" Slowly the green list disappeared.
