With the purchase of YouTube, I quickly established an outline for its future. At least the direction I wanted it to take within the next five years. Transforming it into a video sharing platform into the number one social media site for content creators. All of this while I personally disliked the effect social media had on the world, but there was no point in fighting it.
My plan was a simple one, redesign the way profiles worked, allowing people to share images and videos of themselves, with people being able to comment and like them. Have it so that people could follow the other people they liked free of charge and receive notifications whenever that person made a post, or replied to their comment. Along with the introduction of emojis.
Once that attracted a following the platform's home screen would have to undergo an upgrade, along with the video player. After which, the site would then add live streaming and categories. At that time there would also be the introduction of subscriptions to various creators for a small fee, and a donation system. Along with custom emojis that the content creator could make.
From there I would acquire a network to have the option of live television, and the ability to stream old shows and exclusives. Considering I already owned a film studio, this would be perfect for all my future creations.
To do all of this, I needed a massive increase in employees, which I could not afford at this moment. I could, but it wasn't worth the amount of money i'd have to put into it. I had to set a limit on how much I was going to spend a year, so I was more inclined to do a gradual increase over the next few years.
With me owning the company as well, some investors that lost money due to the takeover reinvested into it. I was in charge of it, but I could not stay in California every single day. Although I knew some of the people there, I did not know them all. To just pick one and tell them they are in charge now was a stupid idea. Which is why I decided to fly back and forth on a weekly basis until everything was running correctly.
It's been three months since I obtained the company, and during that time, I had to deal with some issues. Mostly from the users using copyrighted music in their videos. I also had to hire some tech experts and web designers to help me with my goals. This project would be a massive one and the concepts I wanted on it would not be thought of until later on. For me to get it early was another reason I accepted the offer to buy YouTube.
The plan was to have the new version out by early next year, with the users having the ability to make money from YouTube. Along with having ads to help bring in more money.
Having three companies under my belt was a lot, and I did not want another one. Three was already a lot of work, owning more was just asking to have grey hair before I turned thirty.
Today, however, I was sitting in a chair gazing up at the door. It just closed as an actor left after having auditioned for a role in Static. I did the same for Icon and Rocket films, to help decide the best person to play that role. Icon's film was still being worked on, but the filming was almost done. Rocket's filming was just starting, and today we were searching for the cast members of the next film.
There were three other people in the room evaluating the actors, the director, the assistant director, and the producer. Peter Jackson who directed Lord of the Rings was chosen due to his experience and success of the trilogy. Alan Taylor was his assistant and I went with him due to his experience with both television shows and films. I felt he could add a touch that Peter wouldn't have. Lastly the producer who would oversee the film's production was I hired Spike Lee for this role. These were the only three people I personally hired to work on this movie, the rest of the cast members were up to them.
"I'll set him down as a maybe." Alan said as he wrote something down in his notepad.
"It's a no for me. He's lacking in delivery." Peter added and scratched off the name from his list.
The three of them discussed the man that left the audition room. I mostly listened to them without saying a word. Although i've went through this two times already with the other two movies, I wanted to leave the decision in their hands. It only took them two minutes of talking before it was decided that young man was cut, but they may add him as an extra depending on the other performances.
"Next!" Spike shouted and moments later the door opened as a young man walked in. He was tall, well built with brown skin and had a head full of curly hair. All three of the men leaned in closer to one another.
"Isn't he the one that played in that musical?"
"He is. His performance was good, and he already has a background in playing a high school student."
"But, can he play a hero?"
"Name and role?" Spike asked the young man after their little get-together was over with.
"Corbin Bleu auditioning for the role of Virgil Hawkins."

Corbin ended up performing a scheme where Virgil was confronting the main villain of the movie, HotStreak. He performed wonderfully, and after he received praises, he left the room. All three men liked him, and when the next person came in I was a bit surprised. I knew this young man because he was always on tv in my teenage years to young adulthood.
"Name and role?"
"Nick Cannon auditioning for the role of Virgil Hawkins and Francis Stone."
Virgil was the main lead for the movie as he was the superhero known as Static. There were a lot of people auditioning for that role, with only a few so far having an interest in Franics, also known as HotStreak.
Unlike Corbin, Nick had a lot of movie experience and he showed it off.
There were a few more people after Nick that drew some attention, but the one who seemed to shine was Charles Michael Davis who primarily auditioned for the role of Francis and one of the minor characters.
A woman appeared this time, she was young and pretty. But, what drew my attention was her hair which kind of looked like a mullet.
"Name and role?"
"Scarlett Johansson auditioning for the role of Frieda Goren."
Nick Cannon coming here was already a shock, but this was even more surprising. Wasn't she supposed to be in Marvel's films? Why was she here?
She seemed to have noticed my gaze and gave me a slight smile but said nothing to me directly. She was good, I already knew that, and the other three men in the room soon found that out. She was moved to the top of the list, but I did not add anything to their discussion. I would say something once everyone was finished, then I would give my two cents on who I thought would play the role the best.
These people would have to be signed to appear in multiple films, we could not decide this lightly.
After Scarlett's audition the other female actors kind of lacked that uniqueness. It wasn't until Emma Stone came that the three men adjusted themselves in their seats.
After three days of auditions, we were finally done. The four of us sat in a meeting room reviewing the actors, giving our thoughts on who should play what role and why. With the massive success of Spider-Man, these three men wanted to create a powerhouse of a movie that could topple it. I could see it in their eyes and the way they were pushing for specific actors.
Lance Gross, Corbin Bleu, Nick Cannon, and Charles Michael Davis were all male actors that were at the top of everyone's list. It just came down to who had more to offer.
Emma Stone, Scarlett Johansson, and Rosario Dawson were the female actresses that showed the most promise.
The lineup for this movie was pretty stacked, and no matter who was picked they would do an amazing job. Personally, I voted for Emma to play the role of Frieda, while Scarlet played Virgil's first girlfriend, Daisy. Everyone, including me was set on having Rosario play his older sister Sharon.
We decided to cast the minor roles first, then we would take a break and talk about the leading roles.
