ROKHA was not busy anymore. Since the Hunter authority restricted entrance to all the gates, they didn’t have anything to do.

The other part of their job was to deal with Hunters’ crimes. To be honest, however, those didn’t occur much. There were policemen and army personnel who can do those jobs better. In fact, some government officers are Hunters as well.

The incident at Ga-On High School was a rare case because they had received a report that a person with the power of at least an A-rated Hunter was harassing someone in the school.

Both ROKHA’s role and power were weakened. It was a miracle that the organization was still standing.

Ee-Na, So-Eun, and Yoo-Jeong were working hard in the training room. They were using the same hologram monsters that were used in the Hunter registration center.

So-Eun had gotten much healthier than last week. She was fighting with an F-rated monster while Ee-Na and Yoo-Jeong also faced off against their opponents.

Hwan and Gi-Hoon entered the training room and watched them for a while.

“Everyone, stop what you’re doing.”

The three of them stopped simultaneously. Hwan stepped forward and started to point them out one by one.

“Ee-Na.”

“Yes, sir.”

“Where’s your gun?”

She immediately brought out the gun she had in her pack.

“It’s a Beretta M9A1,” Jeong Gi-Hoon murmured.

Hwan observed it closely.

“According to what I see from the movies… I guess this is how I should use it.”

Without hesitation, Hwan pulled the trigger. The bullet hit the wall with a deafening sound. Hwan passed the gun to Jeong Gi-Hoon.

“I suppose the gun you are using is for the gates.”

“It is.”

“Pass me the one you have.”

Jeong Gi-Hoon handed over his gun. It looked similar to the one Ee-Na had, but it had different characteristics. This was designed for the gates, and its model name was GATM9A1.

Lee Hwan returned Ee-Na’s gun to her and looked closely at Gi-Hoon’s gun.

“This gun uses a bullet covered by aura. When the bullet hits the target, it explodes. This is more like a grenade.”

Gi-Hoon pointed at the trigger.

“When you put your finger on the trigger, you can insert your aura to coat the bullet.”

It was ideal to utilize all the weapons that were currently available. In fact, all Koreans are trained to use guns. They are more familiar with guns than with swords or spears.

People have tried to develop guns for the dungeons. They were able to manufacture some, but it was still inefficient.

“If a Hunter wants to possess a gun, they must have a rank of at least B. But even if a B-rated Hunter inserts all the aura he has, the power of the gun is still halved.”

That was the biggest problem. Guns made for the gates were not as fast and destructive as normal guns. They developed an aura bullet to make it more efficient, but no one utilizes this. To make that power, they have to insert it as Gi-Hoon does.

For S-rated Hunters like Jeong Gi-Hoon, that gun was no use. Their punches were insanely stronger than the power of these guns.

“Who made this?”

“It’s from the US. Why?”

“It’s not efficient.”

He shot at the wall again, which cracked under all the firepower.

“That was the amount of aura that a B-rated Hunter would have. Indeed, it is inefficient.”

Again, he exerted aura and pressed the trigger. This time, the entire wall collapsed.

Everyone wondered at first but realized that it was Hwan. He can insert a lot of aura to make this happen, but that was not the case.

“That was also the amount of aura that a B-rated Hunter would have. I suppose I need to work on it more.”

Everyone, especially Jeong Gi-Hoon, gaped in surprise at his explanation. He realized what Hwan had just done.

“…Did you just change the gun’s function?”

“I guess this is now more useful in dungeons, huh?”

The power had increased by at least 1.4 times in strength. This was revolutionary, but Hwan was acting as if it was nothing.

“Gi-Hoon.”

“Yes, sir.”

“Can you get three more of these guns?”

“Of course. Do you need bullets as well?”

“As many as possible.”

However, Lee Hwan had some other things to order.

“Are there sniper rifles for the gates?”

“…Of course.”

Hwan smiled and looked around.

“I’ll see what we can do.”

What is he trying to say? Everyone was puzzled.

First, Hwan pointed to So-Eun. “Tanker.”

Then he pointed at Ee-Na. “Damage Dealer and Melee.”

Then he pointed at Yoo-Jeong, who looked at him in bewilderment. “Nuker and Caster, sniper if possible.”

Then lastly, he pointed at Gi-Hoon. “Tanker and Damage Dealer.”

However, Lee Hwan still had to explain what was going on.

“I know this might be sudden.”

“…….”

“But the Hunter authority will be dissolved.”

Rumors had been going around, and, in fact, there were already some news reports about it.

“So-Eun.”

“…Yes, sir.”

“When the authority is dissolved, I will be creating a PMC with Gi-Hoon.”

“Oh…”

“I want just a few elites in my PMC. I know that I made a promise to bring you to Cheon-Myeong, but I want you to go with me. I’ll give you a choice.”

Without hesitation, So-Eun replied. “I’ll follow you, Mr. Lee.”

“Hwan is enough. Mister sounds so old to me.”

So-Eun smiled. Lee Hwan then turned his head toward Ee-Na. “What about you?”

“…Will ROKHA be disbanded as well?”

“Yes.”

“………”

“Take your time to make a decision.”

Then it was Yoo-Jeong’s turn.

“I guess this is a bit of a surprise.”

“…It is.”

Lee Hwan slowly approached her and grabbed Yoo-Jeong’s hands. She was a bit surprised, but Hwan did not care.

“Take a look.”

Yoo-Jeong felt her aura flowing inside her body; it was a feeling that was hard to describe. The aura slowly moved around her body and gathered at her hand. She could see a small circle appearing on her palm.

It was a sphere made of aura. Hwan put her hand down and the aura sphere disappeared.

“You felt it, didn’t you?”

“I…did.”

“I know you can do that by yourself.”

It was strange, but his voice had power. Yoo-Jeong could feel the trustworthiness in his voice.

“I’ll do it.”

She raised her hand, palm up, and concentrated. She could feel the aura coming from her heart. As she recalled how Hwan had manipulated the aura, Yoo-Jeong gathered her inner aura to her hand. Soon, a small aura sphere appeared.

Lee Hwan clapped his hands with a smile.

“That’s how Valhalla’s wizards train themselves. Later on, you can make three or more of those spheres. I bet you didn’t know about it.”

“…About what?”

“That you have talent. A talent to be a wizard.”

“Huh?”

“You can sense your aura well. If you were in Valhalla, I’m sure that you would have been a named wizard.”

Now Jeong Gi-Hoon understood why Hwan had chosen her. He saw her talent.

Lee Hwan was strong, so strong that it was hard for people to understand his thoughts. This was just another example of it.

“I’ll give you some more time. Think about it carefully.”

Yoo-Jeong found that Hwan’s smile was charming.

The day was over. Surprisingly, there had been no work for us. Apart from trivial events, nothing else had happened.

I spent most of the time in the training room, observing So-Eun carefully. She had gotten healthier, but she needed more time to recover. With her current level of stamina, it was hard for her to train her strength or aura, but she had great potential. I could see it.

Her physical ability itself was not bad. Her every move was fast and lively. She has started to learn martial arts, and her posture was perfect. She definitely had a talent as a Hunter for close combat. In addition, her eyes were suitable for long-range battles.

I gave her a crossbow, and she was able to use it perfectly. In fact, she also had a talent for using her aura.

If she was trained well, she could be an all-rounder. She would probably become stronger than Gi-Hoon.

As I observed her training, time passed quickly.

Jeong Gi-Hoon handed me a cup of coffee.

“I know that you have to stay late for work. I hope this coffee is not an attempt to escape from your duties.”

“Don’t worry, I’m not a slacker.”

Jeong Gi-Hoon and I both smiled. He then brought up a topic that I had totally forgotten about.

“Anyway, you don’t have to worry about the wall you just broke. The authority will pay for it.”

I had forgotten about that, but it seems that everything would be fine.

“Well, good luck with your work.”

He shrugged and went back to work. I suppose I should go home as well.

Suddenly, someone entered the training room. It was Yoo-Jeong. Since she had worked outside the whole day, she was sweaty.

“Have something to talk about?”

She was hesitant, so I waited for her to speak. Gi-Hoon slipped over beside me, and Ee-Na and So-Eun were both looking at her. When I told them to go, she finally spoke out.

“Are you free today?”

“I am. Why?”

“Would you like to have a drink with me?”
