Tomorrow morning came quickly, and, just like the two boys had planned, they met with their guards in the same street. After some bad acting, they became friends. With that, they invited each other to play together, and discuss books as well.

Matthew invited Roden over tomorrow for lunch, after he asked Gleeward who was with him this time around if he could do so, the Chief of Guards responded, "Of course, you can, you're the heir to our family!".

This was a little surprising to Roden, since he had no idea about that, he himself was not the heir to his own family, that position belonged to his older brother. Commonly known as the Blue Lightening among the people.

His real name was Brandon Charlton, he was one of the 17 Pillars of the kingdom, and was ranked even higher than the Fierce Lion, since he was the fifth strongest of the 17 Pillars of the kingdom.

He was around Asvin's age, and, he, too, was a swordsman from the Court of Saviors. He was given the title, the Strongest Youngster, since he was the best among those of the same age. He trained with Asvin and Atlas, but was, of course, many times better than the both of them.

He was even classified to be as strong as the Green Mage. This was why the Charlton family was considered a very influential noble family in Decartium. Still, its position was weaker than that of the Cavias family.

After all, the Blue Lightening was still new, and he didn't really fight in battles like the Fierce Lion. He might be stronger, but John Cavias is more famous than him. And it's been ten years since he had become renowned, and his family had become very strong over these years.

While the Charlton family is still quite weak, it didn't have much in numbers, and the guards it did have, were only normal in power level. On the other hand, the Cavias family barely had more than 400 guards, but, it was known throughout the kingdom, that no one could fight those guards and win.

Their strategies and their fighting capabilities, were on par with a One Star, some even a Second Star, and those were the regular soldiers. Aside from the Royal Guards, and the Prince's army, no other soldiers in the kingdom were as strong as the ones from the Cavias family.

In about two day time, Roden had come to visit, and he was introduced to Olivia, the three children had a lot of fun playing together, as time went by pretty fast. Matthew and Roden also talked for what seemed like an hour or more about many important events.

They made theories about what might have happened with stuff they weren't sure about, they also talked about the Black Emperor and his rule during that time period. They discussed the Invasion War, and how the Blood Count fought bravely trying to defend his Elven people.

And just like that, the day had already passed. Roden said goodbye, and returned home afterwards.

After some time passed, Nero was with Matthew in his office. He looked at him for a second, then sighed, and said, "Next time, invite him, or, go play with him in the afternoon, you have already skipped three days worth of training, and your master, Micheal, has been complaining to me nonstop, go and deal with him tomorrow!".

But then, without Matthew even saying anything, Nero remembered something, and continued, "Tomorrow, you will be going to the orphanage, right? I will send some servants to pick up good stuff for you! Also...", Matthew could see hesitation flashing in his father's eyes for a second.

He waited for him to finish before asking, but, he didn't even have to ask why, since he was answered in the next second, "I heard some bad rumors about the orphanage, take Gleeward with you!".

Matthew's eyes showed his surprise, as well as worry. He asked, "What... Bad rumors?". Nero looked at his son, and then said, his expression a little grave, "It seems they are working with a new gang that has just appeared, the Grey Dogs!".

Matthew hadn't heard about this gang, but still, a gang was a gang. This meant that those adventurers he saw the last time he visited, were in fact, gang members.

Matthew's expression darkened, as he said, "Father, can I ask something of you?". Nero's expression turned serious, and he replied, "You're not going to say we need to help the children inside, are you?".

Matthew nodded, as he said, "I've been wanting to get new people to work there, since the ones at the moment are all evil bastards! But...", his voice started breaking up, and tears formed in the corner of his eyes. "Now, they have crossed the line by getting this gang involved! I am sure they did this, so I can's threaten them anymore, and they can resume their abuse of all the kids there!".

Matthew's expression had been going darker and darker, until it reached a moment, where his bloodlust started slipping out, even Nero felt a small shiver inside his body, 'Matthew... He's, he's for real, isn't he? He wants to kill them! I can't say he's wrong,  what they are doing is... But...'.

"Even if I wanted, I can't do that. I don't have the authority necessary for something of the sort. But, also, we don't have that many strong soldiers at our disposal, and the other branch leaders won't support me in this kind of situation. I understand what you must be feeling, but, I simply can't help, I am sorry!", said Nero, as he looked very much downcast at the moment.

"Would the Cavias family be able to pull it off?", asked the small boy. Nero looked at his son, as shock made its way into his eyes, he quickly replied, "What are you talking about? Why would they...", but, before he could go on any further, Matthew cut him off. "Yes, or no, father?".

Nero was shocked by this. He didn't expect this in the least, 'He wants the Fierce Lion to help? But, does he think this is a game?'. That wasn't the only thing giving him a shock at the moment, the way Matthew was talking to him now, was very different, and cold. It seemed like Matthew had transformed into a new person.

Nero gulped, then said, "Yes, they can, the Fierce Lion has that kind of authority, and this small gang can't stand up to the Cavias family soldiers, but then again, who told you they will...".

Again, Matthew ignored his father, and cut him off, as he said, "Let us go to the Cavias family mansion, and now, father! C'mon!". Nero couldn't believe what was happening in front of him, he could only blink in shock, while he continued looking at the cold young boy.

"You, do you mean what you're saying, Matt? You... Sound different, what happened to you, let us talk this through before we advance any further on...", but, again, Nero's words were cut off by the nine-year-old, who said, "No, we're not going to be talking about this! I will be going to the Cavias family mansion, with, or without you, father!".

'What, what is happening with this boy? Why is he acting like this, he's being very rude! This is the first time he used such a tone in front of me! It's like he's not the same person anymore. Where is that cute and kind boy I know of?', thought Nero. He didn't know what to do in this situation, he was simply too shocked to think clearly.

Matthew, stared at his father for a second, and nodded to himself, before letting out a sigh. His cold expression, died down a bit, as he said, a little tear forming in his eye, "Hah! I am sorry for speaking like this, but, the kids at the orphanage are my family, I've lived with them for two whole years, I've seen them be abused, and tried to help, when I finally succeeded, this happened!".

"I... I just can't stand to look at my family being treated in this way anymore, I can't do that! I've lost my family in the Black Fire, I can't lose my second family here! They were there for me when I was sad. I can't do it! So, I am sorry, I am speaking rudely to you, father, but please, I need your help!".

Nero could only watch his son crying while asking him for his help. He had started thinking of this young nine-year-old as his son already. As a father, he couldn't stand to look at him like this. Matthew needed help, and Nero would do his best to help. Even though this might go wrong, he just couldn't let him go like this.

Nero took a small breath in, then said, "Okay! Let us go to the Cavias family mansion, We'll try to ask them for help, but, don't get your hopes up, I don't know if they will accept or not!".

Matthew nodded his head, and with that, the father and son pair, made their way out of the office.
