Never shall I forget the sight of my friend's and fellow comrade's head exploding like crimson roses. The blasting of guns and explosives is blowing my eardrums. Men, women, and children were killed indiscriminately by drone strikes. The scream of terror and desperation fills the city and is mixed with the ringing in my head. Buildings collapse left and right, as I stumble down the haul of the Council Union dizzyingly through rubbles of what is left after the first wave of artillery and bombs rain down on us.

“Aleksei. Aleksei. Stay with me!”, the president of the Council Union wrestling and clutching me up as he trailed me to the secret escape tunnel.

“It will be ok. We will figure something like we always do, Aleksei.” He said wearily with shortness of harsh breath. Words merely fail to escape my sunken mouth. Blood is draining from my screwed legs and stomach that have been shot. We would have died from the ambush if it were not for the countless members who had shielded us with their bodies.

Despite the ongoing chaos, I could scarcely hear rushing footsteps and hoarse shouting of disgruntled soldiers closing in. Clenching my teeth, I withdraw the arms of my lifelong friend and thrust him forwards. My legs gave in. Face slams the gritty floor of smashed glass and painful sour.

He remarked something, and quickly tries to grasp me but I flings his arm away. Reaching into my pocket, I grab my secret notebook and pitch it at him.

“That’s our last… leverage”, I mustered and pleaded. “Go… please.”

His face contoured in horror and pain like he witnessed hell itself, before fulfilling my dying wish reluctantly and sprinting. I smilingly watched his back with nostalgia as he promptly vanished into the foggy air, while I reasonably hope the few backup nuclear intercontinental rockets can relinquish his hope.

Critical consciousness is fading. The dull world is spinning. Laying face down in the middle of the corridor, I pulled the pin and fastened my eyes. I guess I can finally rest now.

Somebody wrenches my body over. I flail my arm and lightly throw a little present into the air.

“SHIITT—” They shout shrilly with terrible panic before all things turn black.

Feed back, question, mistake and criticism are most welcome in the comments. Good day.
