Chapter – 6 Bloody Eyes

If the appearance of zombies simply startled the survivors, then seeing these monsters in numerous shapes and forms in front of them just left them with the word “despair.”

Is this still the world they’ve known and lived in for so long? A pleasant home became a living torment in just one day. One by one, living corpses and creatures arrived, completely distorting everyone’s perception.

Monsters continued to flow out of the room, and Lao Zhang understood what this meant. It served as a resting spot for those who had been infected by the blood rain, implying that these monsters were once humans!

At this point, An Sheng was absolutely afraid. Only in horror sci-fi movies can such a strange and disturbing scenario be seen, but when the image on the TV screen materialised in front of people, it was a completely other experience. Ordinary people are not as fearful as the previous victim, a middle-aged woman. Her legs got weak and she became incontinent as a result of her fear.

“Please come upstairs!” Lao Zhang was the first to regain his composure after the first shock and terror. He was a soldier with greater psychological endurance than the average person, but he was still a step behind, and the monsters were faster.

The monster with lizard-like scales was the first to strike. The tongue sprang out and wrapped around Su Yao’s neck like a flexible cobra.

A obese man weighing more than 200 pounds can easily be dragged right now, and a thin Su Yao can’t stand up to such a great force.

Lao Zhang was the one who reacted quickly, rushing forward to seize the tongue and grappling desperately. The weight of the two, combined with Zhang’s wrestling, forced the two and the lizard monster into a temporary stalemate, but the tongue’s strength was also entangled. Su Yao has been compelled to roll his eyes due to his size.

“Use a knife, Xiao An!” When Lao Zhang realised Su Yao was about to be strangled to death, he yelled angrily at An Sheng.

An Sheng was taken aback when he realised he was carrying a firearm on his back! You can’t blame him; An Sheng is simply a regular guy. He’d never seen anything like that before, and his terror nearly drove him insane. How can he recall that he still has a weapon strapped on his back?

An Sheng shouted and chopped at the tongue with his backhand, holding a bayonet that included a heating pipe and a fruit knife. He ventured to declare that this was the most courageous thing he had ever done.

The fruit knife’s blade cut on the lizard monster’s dark purple tongue, instantly slicing it in half, the monster let out an ear-piercing howl, the remaining half of the tongue was quickly retrieved, and the half of the tongue that had been wrapped around Su Yao’s neck also lost control and fell off.

An Sheng’s head and face were likewise drenched by the monster’s black cyan blood, which spewed all over the ground. The foul odour immediately pervaded the area, making people’s stomachs turn for a few moments. There was no excess stock in An Sheng’s stomach if he had vomited once, and Baobuqi has now been sprayed.

Su Yao, whose tongue had almost choked him to death, crouched on the ground and got a big mouthful of oxygen, while Lao Zhang grabbed a wooden stick from the corridor as a weapon and kept a close eye on the monster in front of him.

The mutant creatures in the room continued to push outwards, but due to the limited entry, they didn’t know how to be courteous, making it difficult for them to exit. A monster, a bloated one-eyed behemoth, and a little dwarf with exaggerated claws are among the characters.

The tongue of the mutant lizard was severed. It was resentfully glaring at An Sheng at the time. The dark blood was dripping from the large mouth full of fangs.

An Sheng had also noticed that the creature despised him and had hurriedly raised the bayonet in his hand to confront it, but his legs had already failed him and were quivering with terror. Wanting to get out of here as soon as possible, An Sheng’s heart nearly jumped into his throat, and he lacked the courage to face the grotesque monsters in front of him.

The lizard roared and dashed towards An Sheng, with the other two mutant beasts following suit.
An Sheng couldn’t think about it because he was too busy. The lizard monster was attacked by a lethargic donkey that rolled around and dodged it. Taking advantage of the void, he immediately turned over and dashed to the fourth-floor stairwell. Is it simply those mutant monsters who will give him this chance? He understood the only way to survive was to get to the fourth floor and block the tunnel. Of course, the answer is no!

The massive body of the one-eyed Big Mouth is slow, but the short-statured claws mutant is very flexible. It has arrived in front of An Sheng in a few leaps to block his path, and the exaggerated claws are confronting An Sheng’s face door.

An Sheng thought to himself as he stared at the sharp claws that were continually enlarging in front of his eyes that this was the end, and that he must have explained it here today! The claws mutant, who was going to dismantle his head into eight parts, unexpectedly flew out the following second. When An Sheng looked around, he noticed Lao Zhang swinging a wooden stick in his face.

“Upstairs!” says the voice. Lao Zhang screamed furiously, swinging the wooden stick in his palm like a god of war, forcing the claw and lizard monsters back, and An Sheng admired him.

The survivors on the third storey were startled awake by Lao Zhang’s yell, and those who were still alive began to flee to the fourth floor, but more mutant monsters flooded out of the room.

The first to be knocked to the ground was one of the closest survivors. A deformed monster resembling a praying mantis then sliced off one of his thighs with a bone knife as sharp as a sawtooth. The other mutant monsters shouted and dismembered it with glee.

The Cyclops is a towering figure. His strength is immense, despite his languid motions. I witnessed him pick up a man with one hand, open his large mouth on his chest, and swallow the man entire, followed by the sound of breaking bones. Mutated monsters are like tigers that have found their way into the flock. Half of the dozen or so survivors had died on the spot in a matter of minutes!

The claw monster is a small and nimble creature. With its sharp claws, it continues to walk and jump, posing a serious threat to Lao Zhang. An Sheng stood up and offered to assist. Despite his timidity and cowardice, he would have guessed that It’s already monster food, and it’s foolishness to claim that you’re grateful if it weren’t for Lao Zhang. He still realises that assisting Lao Zhang entails assisting himself.

It’s simply that there’s still a gap between wanting to do something and really doing it. He wants to assist, but he lacks the necessary strength.

An Sheng’s chest was sketched with a thick tail just by standing up straight! The massive force flipped his entire body around and slammed him into the wall hard. An Sheng just felt a sledgehammer slam into his chest. His mind was blank due to the stiffness and intense agony in his chest.

His chest sagged somewhat, and seven or eight of his ribs were fractured, one of which entered his lung lobe. Not even close to being alive.

The survivors were still being slaughtered by the beasts. Only four of the dozen or so impromptu rescue teams survived. Lao Zhang wasn’t sure how much longer he could keep going. His arms felt numb, and his muscular strength was numb as well. It’s also rapidly depleting, and mutant monsters are multiplying. He and the remaining few people would have died long ago if it hadn’t been for the scramble to consume the bodies of the dead.

“How come this darn tiny mutant monster in front of him didn’t take some food? Isn’t he hungry?” Lao Zhang reasoned that if it hadn’t been for this mutant monster, he and a few others would have fled upstairs at this point.

“Someone someone come to our aid!”

Su Yao cried out helplessly and desperately, her eyes blurred by tears. She was afraid of dying, but she was more afraid that her two children would be abandoned after her death. This damn world! She wants to live, she wants her children to live!

“Roar ~~~~~!”

All of the survivors and mutant monsters present were drawn to a resounding roar. The voice’s owner was a human with an odd glow all over his body. Due to the extreme temperature, his exposed skin was a peculiar purple colour, blood-colored steam surrounded his entire body, and the surrounding air was somewhat distorted.

A pair of unusual blood-colored pupils blazed with a bizarre glow as he slowly raised his head! This is An Sheng, who was recently gravely hurt by the lizard monster!

“You’re all going to die!”

An Sheng’s throat was clenched as he said these hazy words.
