Chapter 1081: Does It Matter So Long As He’s Dead?

No wonder Di Ming was the Heavenly Monarch. After all, as the strongest of his era, both his cultivation or intelligence must’ve reached the pinnacle! Zhong Yue couldn’t help but exclaimed.

Heavenly Monarch Di Ming and Queen Goddess were really sly and cunning. If he sat by and watched as they took this chance to open the seventh secret realm, he would be creating two horrendous enemies for himself in the future!

But if he told their plan to Mu Xiantian and had the latter to stop the Dao discussion, he would miss the chance to peek into the secrets of Mu Xiantian’s seventh secret realm and Seven Paths Reincarnation!

This couple wasn’t just ordinarily sly. If they opened the seventh secret realm, Mu Xiantian would be the first to face them. As for me, it’s still a long way to go before I clash head-on with them.

Zhong Yue remained silent as he continued to listen to the Dao voices, comprehending their attainments in the seventh secret realm.

Monarchs were really monarchs. Although Di Ming and Queen Goddess didn’t have many attainments in the seventh secret realm, they were still exceptional. Otherwise, they wouldn’t be able to last so long in Mu Xiantian’s Dao voices either.

Whereas Mu Xiantian had the complete advantage in the battle of Dao voices. His Dao voices were pounding on the couple like a raging sea, leaving no room for the couple to rest!

Mu Xiantian’s attainments in the seventh secret realm were deeper and stronger. If it weren’t for the knowledge he acquired from the Ancestral Court, Zhong Yue’s attainments would also be far inferior to Mu Xiantian’s. However, even with the Ancestral Court’s heritage, Mu Xiantian’s Dao voices still contained many attainments that the ancient monarchs didn’t have!

This was mainly because of the Dark Monarch’s research in the seventh secret realm and also Mu Xiantian’s own attainments over the years!

Mu Xiantian was an unrivaled talent even among innate gods, not to mention his unique circumstance of being a celestial and demon symbiotic innate god.

The Dark Monarch was an innate Deity King that had lived ever since the Dark Age. These two paragons’ research in the seventh secret realm and Seven Paths Reincarnation was already at a very deep stage. It was just that they still couldn’t form the Seven Paths Reincarnation into a complete system.

For Mu Xiantian to defeat Heavenly Monarch Di Ming and Queen Goddess, he would need stronger attainments in the seventh secret realm in his Dao voices to crush Heavenly Monarch Di Ming’s and Queen Goddess’s Dao hearts. That way, he would be able to traumatize the two with his invincible image inside their hearts and minds!

But the more attainments he has contained in his Dao voices, the more Zhong Yue would be able to learn!

When Zhong Yue himself was fully immersed in the sea of knowledge, Yangguang Yuan and the others around him felt themselves reaching their limits. Before they could comprehend one part of the Dao voices, a million more had already passed by.

Only Zhong Yue, Feng Xiaozhong, and the faceless being could still follow the three monarchs’ Dao voices. Even Yin Fanxuan would miss out on some part of it.

Soon enough, Mu Xiantian’s Dao voices gradually contained his attainments in the Seven Paths Reincarnation. The Dao voices grew louder and stronger. If one closed their eyes now, the voices would turn into an image of an unrivaled innate monarch with unstoppable power in their vision. The innate monarch was crushing Heavenly Monarch Di Ming’s and Queen Goddess’s powers, dragging them into a perilous situation of life and death!

It was just an illusion formed by the Dao voices. But if the three monarchs did engage in actual battle, the battle would also fill the surroundings with many different illusions!

Although the battle of Dao voices was seemingly safer considering that it only involved the competition of attainments in Daos, it was in fact, extremely dangerous!

If Mu Xiantian won the Dao discussion, he would be able to crush Heavenly Monarch Di Ming’s and Queen Goddess’s Dao hearts. When their Dao hearts were crushed and their confidence was lost, he would deliver the last killing blow and end their lives!

The killing blow would surely be an earth-shattering strike, one that would tremble the universe!

Those that were present were all experts with the potential of becoming monarchs, their talents were high and of course they were able to derive the fierceness of the battle of Dao voices. They were all in fear and also anticipation as if they were there together in the blood-curdling battle of the three monarchs!

The battle seized all their attention. The clashes of Dao voices were reproduced into the monarchs’ skills in their minds. Strong, powerful, dominating, filled with many wonders and yet, extremely dangerous!

Mu Xiantian was suppressing the two monarchs with his invincible power. Normally, the outcome of the battle would’ve already been decided, but the battle had somehow turned into a stalemate.

Heavenly Monarch Di Ming and Queen Goddess were working together to defend Mu Xiantian’s Dao voices. They were undulating their strengths; one moment ago, the Heavenly Monarch was stronger and the queen was weaker, and in the next second, the opposite happened. With it, they were diverting the pressure coming from Mu Xiantian in a unique rhythm.

The couple was perfectly in sync, so perfect they felt like a single entity. Even though Mu Xiantian has the upper hand, he still couldn’t break through their defenses.

Furthermore, more and more abstrusities were contained in their Dao voices; it meant that their attainments in the seventh secret realm and Seven Paths Reincarnation were also increasing. They had learned them from Mu Xiantian and used them back to fight off Mu Xiantian’s attacks.

As one who could be the Heavenly Monarch that ruled the universe, Heavenly Monarch Di Ming surely wasn’t an idiot. The talent he had was uncanny. If Zhong Yue, Feng Xiaozhong, and Xuan Ji could comprehend Mu Xiantian’s Dao voices, of course he and Queen Goddess could as well.

Heavenly Monarch Di Ming and Queen Goddess are at the limits.

All of a sudden, Zhong Yue thought. The two monarchs are quietly learning Mu Xiantian’s attainments and using Mu Xiantian as the catalyst for their growth. If this goes on a little more, the two of them will be able to open their seventh secret realm!

There were three requirements to open the seventh secret realm. One, the cultivator mustn’t be an idiot; two, the cultivator needs to have a saint herb that helps to open the secret realms in the body; and three, a monarch that helps secure the cultivator’s life and minimize the risk of death. All three requirements were a must to those who wanted to open the seventh secret realm and weren’t monarchs!

However, there was a fourth requirement. That was to have enough comprehension and a solid foundation in the seventh secret realm. With it, one could disregard the third requirement.

To the monarchs, the first requirement, not being an idiot, was the most crucial requirement of all, followed by the second requirement, the saint herbs.

Heavenly Monarch Di Ming and Queen Goddess didn’t lack any saint herbs and they weren’t idiots. However, it was impossible for them to find anyone else that was powerful enough to secure their lives during the opening of the seventh secret realm. No one in this universe could ever be so powerful to suppress all the powers of the secret realms in a monarch’s body.

Thus, Heavenly Monarch Di Ming and Queen Goddess took a different approach. And now, their fourth requirement was near completion.

“Your Majesty.” Zhong Yue suddenly conducted his sound to Mu Xiantian and said, “They are using your attainments to open their seventh secret realm.”

Mu Xiantian’s heart stiffened up and his Dao voices softened all of a sudden. He carefully listened to their Dao voices and sure enough, he found their attainments approaching to a bottleneck, they only needed a little more push to break through to open the seventh secret realm.

Suddenly, Mu Xiantian laughed, “Hahahahaha, seems like I am unable to defeat Your Majesty and goddess. Let’s call it a draw, what do you say?”

His Dao voices stopped abruptly and Heavenly Monarch Di Ming and Queen Goddess nearly spurt out a mouthful of blood!

Just a little more, just a tiny bit more, and they would have been able to break through the bottleneck and open the seventh secret realm. And yet, Mu Xiantian stopped right at the last moment!

The breakthrough they had been yearning for was suddenly robbed from them, one could imagine how sullen they were.

The improvements in a monarch’s prowess from the opening of the seventh secret realm weren’t easily describable with words!

“Mister Yi, how smart.” Queen Goddess took a deep gaze at Zhong Yue and chortled, “But I’m just curious, if Mister Yi is so smart, why didn’t you remind Xiantian earlier but waited long enough until we nearly had it?”

Mu Xiantian turned and looked at Zhong Yue in doubt while Zhong Yue remained calm in reply, “I’ve only just seen through the plan. You’ve both put up a really good show and the three of your Dao voices were incredibly abstruse. I had to use all my intelligence to comprehend them.”

Queen Goddess smiled, “I’m just asking, King Yi doesn’t have to explain so much. Or are you explaining so much out of a guilty conscience?”

Mu Xiantian laughed, “Goddess, don’t you try to raise conflict between me and my trusted advisor. This Dao discussion didn’t result in a winner, so why don’t we take this to the martial stage? Your Majesty, Queen Goddess, what do you think? Mister Yi’s Heavenly Deity Altar doesn’t work on people like us, but we can fight somewhere else!”

Heavenly Monarch Di Ming smiled, “Xiantian, aren’t you worried about us opening the seventh secret realm using the pressure coming from you?”

Mu Xiantian laughed aloud, “And I still thought Your Majesty was gonna fight one on one with me. So you’ve admitted that you are more inferior and want to fight me with the goddess by your side? Your Majesty, what I mean was, you and I both fight squarely, one on one. But of course, if you are afraid, the goddess can stay outside of the ring and step in when your life is in danger. After your loss, however, if the queen feels alone, Xiantian wouldn’t mind taking her in as my wife. That way, she can still retain her status as Queen Goddess.”

His words were rampant and insolent, showing no respect toward Heavenly Monarch Di Ming!

Even Lou Zhengshi and the others were incensed by this and couldn’t help themselves but condemned him.

Mu Xiantian glanced over them and smiled, “Lou Zhengshi, aren’t you afraid that after His Majesty’s death, you will all be taken down by me?”

Heavenly Monarch Di Ming also snapped at them, “Shut up with your curses, where are your manners? You all have no place to speak here!”

Lou Zhengshi, Celestial Heavenly King, and the rest quickly kept quiet. But anger could still be seen on their faces.

Heavenly Monarch Di Ming smirked, “What a shame, I’ve embarrassed myself in front of Xiantian for the lack of proper care over my subject’s manners. A ruler does not sit in a throne surrounded by dangers. Xiantian, you are very strong, I have no confidence in winning against you. But you are also very impatient, you have lost your directions. If I’m defeated, do you think Qing He, Jin Tian, Chang Sheng, and Yang Zun will sit by and watch as you bring them down one by one?”

He lowered his position and admitted his inferiority, then he reminded Mu Xiantian that there were still other enemies.

Zhong Yue cleared his throat, he reminded, “If His Majesty opened the seventh secret realm, he will be even harder to deal with. After all, His Majesty has been in the monarch level for more than a few dozen thousands of years. Furthermore, what does it matter so long as he is dead?”

Mu Xiantian hesitated.

Queen Goddess glanced over Zhong Yue and she said placidly, “King Yi, don’t forget that I am also here.”

Without hesitation, Mu Xiantian laughed, “Your Majesty, you are my elder brother. Since you’ve already conceded defeat yourself, why do I still have to force you? King Yi, today, it’s your General Assembly of Future Monarchs, death would hamper the festivities.”

Zhong Yue frowned. If Mu Xiantian was determined to eliminate Heavenly Monarch and seize the Heaven Court, he would be able to secure the throne. Although the throne may still be surrounded by dangers coming from the other enemies, the Xian Tian Palace would still become the strongest faction in the universe.

Even when faced with the other monarch races’ invasion, they could still remain undefeated with the Heaven Court’s strategic location.

In addition to Celestial Monarch Jin Wu’s help, they could slowly eliminate the other enemies one after another. They just have to take it slow and steady.

But now…

Zhong Yue sighed and stopped trying to convince Mu Xiantian, As an advisor, I’ve done my best. From now onwards, I just have to keep my own forces safe. As for the rest, I’ll leave it to Zi Guang when he arrives later.
