Chapter 272 - Good Targets to Bully

Zhong Yue was shocked to know that Feng Xiaozhong was so talented, being listed in the top ten among all of the Qi Practitioners in the Godlike Board!

One have to know, the names that could be listed in the Godlike Board weren’t that simple, even some of them have already ascend to the level of gods!

For Feng Xiaozhong to be listed as number seven among them all, one could infer how appallingly talented he was!

And yet, such a talent was laid in waste as he was now a nothing but a madman, he couldn’t contribute anything at all to the human race and was sealed away.

Qiu Jin’er whispered to Zhong Yue and asked, “Senior martial brother, who is this Feng Xiaozhong? Why is he sealed away?”

Zhong Yue sighed and answered, “He is the son of the headmaster, sealed away by headmaster himself.”

Qiu Jin’er was shocked, she was puzzled, not knowing why would the wise and amiable headmaster sealed his own son why.

Old man, it must be very painful for you to seal away your own son, isn’t it?

Zhong Yue thought, Feng Xiaozhong was only this strong most probably because of the opening of the sixth wheel and the Six Reincarnation Path. What a genius he is!

“Feng Xiaozhong had committed an unforgivable crime, he even plundered the tombs of some of the gods listed in the Godlike Board, he also kidnapped some of the godly spirits, all done so to fulfill his researches.”

Ao Shanshan glanced at Zhong Yue, she said, “If it wasn’t the Swords Gate, he would be dead already. Even the most talented being in this world couldn’t command the world to work as how he likes it as.”

Zhong Yue nodded, Feng Xiaozhong has indeed crossed the line, not even the old man could protect him from the other races, sealing him away was the only way to save his life.

The trio walked over to the Warrior Board, there were more names on it, those that were listed were all magnates or magnate-to-be Qi Practitioners; there weren’t many magnates in every generation.

For example, the Swords Gate only have three magnates ostensibly known to the world, the old man headmaster, Elder Feng Shouzhu and Elder Shui Zian; furthermore, Shui Zian was already ‘dead’, hence, there was only two left, and in addition to Feng Xiaozhong, there was a total of four magnates belonging to Swords Gate. While there was also three magnates in East Barren, but the monster race’s true strength was unfathomable, no one knows whether if there were any other magnates kept away from the world such as Feng Xiaozhong.

Although the numbers of magnates in the races were very few, but fifty thousands of years were long enough to nurture countless magnates; the Warrior Board alone had already listed millions of names on it!

“Fifty thousand years and millions of magnates?”

Zhong Yue’s scalp tingled in shock but he was puzzled at the same time, even if it was a full fifty thousand years, the total number of magnates in all of the races would not exceed any more than over ten thousand.

“The Warrior Board will record the names of those Qi Practitioners with the potential to be the magnates, but it doesn’t mean that all of them are magnates.”

Ao Shanshan explained, “Half of those who have the potential to be magnates died in their cultivation progress; some of them turned lazy and stagnated; some met with an impregnable bottleneck in their cultivation progress; some trapped by love and relationships; some dragged down by their lack of abstruse cultivation techniques; some were tangled in their own life issues — any reasons at all could easily hinder the Qi Practitioners in the cultivation progress, obstructing us from unleashing our potential to the fullest. Only the most outstanding ones could persist until the end, it’d be very lucky if there is even ten percent of those in the list succeeded in becoming the magnates.”

Zhong Yue nodded, only the best of the best could stand out, this was the harsh and yet truthful reality.

Having the potential to be a magnate was far from being enough, one would still have to stand out among his peers, only one of a hundred could be the magnates!

Zhong Yue glanced at the Warrior Board and he found a few familiar names; he knew nothing of the names of the previous Swords Gate headmasters, but there were images along with their names of the humans listed in the Warrior Board, most probably left behind by the human Qi Practitioners when they first entered the Lesser Void World.

There weren’t many humans listed in the Warrior Board, not as much as the other races but their rankings were all higher than average.; especially the four young successors of Swords Gate, Feng Wuji, Fang Jiangge, Jun Sixie and Lei Hong were all listed in the top hundred, the innate spirit body holders were indeed, stronger and more talented than the others!

Feng Wuji is even higher in rankings than Fang Jiangge!

Zhong Yue was surprised, he then suddenly remembered, Feng Wuji is indeed regarded higher than Fang Jiangge in the Swords Gate; he was the first to reach to the bottleneck and was going to break through to the level of True Spirit, but was interrupted by Lei Hong.

Other than these four innate spirit body holders, there were also some from Swords Gate but they were all not listed in the top hundred, including the current headmaster while Shui Zian was ranked at over six thousand.

Ao Fenglou was in the top hundred while although Lang Qingyun was around two hundred in rank, it was still a great achievement.

“The Warrior Board doesn’t look at your prowess but your potential. Most of the experts listed on this board are already dead, after all, fifty thousand years, even the gods couldn’t live that long.”

Ao Shanshan said despondently, “Senior Martial Brother Feng Lou was here before, he lamented and said that he couldn’t visit with the seniors that were listed in this board nor could he meet with the juniors that will be listed in the future; only their names and figures, but couldn’t talk and exchange attainments with one another, this made him very sad.”

Zhong Yue and Qiu Jin’er felt the same, fifty thousand years was too long, even the glorious figure in the past couldn’t defeat time and would eventually vanish in the passage of time.

The magnates could only lead for five hundred years and the gods for ten thousands, but then, what use would it do?

Fifty thousand years is too long for me, I’ll just do whatever I can to the fullest!

Zhong Yue eradicated the despondent thought in his mind and exerted himself, he thought, I’ll fight for my race while I can, I’ll stand against the thousands and millions of races that dared to suppress my fellow humans, I’ll not ask whether if I can live for fifty thousand years — this is what a hero shall be like!

“There is so little humans on this board, no wonder the other races bullied us so much. Senior Martial Sister Ao, how can we enter the list?” Qiu Jin’er asked.

Before Ao Shanshan could answer, a stentorian voice suddenly rang in their ears, laughter rumbled like thunders above them, “Sword To The West! Little country bumpkin of the human race, Zhong Yue of the Zhong Shan Clan! I didn’t think that I can see you here, Senior Martial Brother Zhong, Zhu Jushan is here, let us free the reins that restrained our prowess and have a battle!”

Zhong Yue looked over, there was a brawny little giant pushing away the Qi Practitioners before him, his actions enraged the cultivators but he remained insouciant, continuing his stride as he walked toward Zhong Yue.

Zhu Jushan?

Zhong Yue startled, he then remembered the little giant — when he was fighting his way out from the Lian Yun Mountain Ridges, he has met with a Zhu Jian Celestial Race Qi Practitioner, Zhu Jushan, who intercepted him and they had a duel; Zhu Jushan was defeated and escaped, he was also the only West Barren Awakening Qi Practitioner who survived under Zhong Yue’s attack!

“Brother Jushan is also at the level of Atman Body already?” Zhong Yue greeted him politely.

The Lesser Void World have different layers, each layer having their own Lesser Void World City, the layer Zhong Yue and the others were in now was the layer for the Atman Body Qi Practitioners, which was why Zhong Yue asked.

Although Zhu Jushan’s face was ferocious and dreadful, he was incredibly polite, he returned the formality and said, “After I was defeated by you, I conducted a reflection session and realized my weakness. After cultivating for a period of time, I’ve broken through to the Atman Body level. Senior Martial Brother Zhong must also be in the level of Atman Body, am I right? So, battling with you now wouldn’t be considered as taking advantage of my higher cultivation level, it is a fair duel. Come, come, you and I shall have an arm to arm battle!”

Zhong Yue smiled and replied, “No hurry for that. I’ve just arrived at the Lesser Void World, I still have some doubts in mind yet to be answered….”

Just when Zhu Jushan was going to say something, a round of commotion was aroused in the Lesser Void World City, uncountable Qi Practitioners were speaking and talking to one another, discussions and gossips were spreading like a disease among the crowd, more and more Qi Practitioners joined in and soon, the cacophonous voices resonated together, turning louder and vociferous.

“Zhong Shan Clan? Which Zhong Shan Clan?”

“Is it the human Zhong Shan Clan member who bore the title of Sword To The West?”

“The Zhong Shan Clan member who reverse opened the five realms?”

“The eight-headed eight-armed eight-legged human expert who fought his way out of the West Barren?”

“Where is this Zhong Shan Clan member? Stand out and have a fight with me! I’d like to see what a Qi Practitioner who has reverse opened the realms is capable of!”

“Zhong Shan Clan member is here?”

“What board is he listed in? What rank is he?”

Zhong Yue was stunned, an uproar swept across the whole Lesser Void World City, akin to a stream of water mixed in boiling oil; countless Qi Practitioners flew into mid-air, their sharp eyes were filled in aggression, scanning all over the city like rays of lights looking for the ‘eight-headed eight-armed eight-legged’ Zhong Shan Clan member while they flew past Zhong Yue.

“Senior martial brother’s name is so famous?” Qiu Jin’er was shocked.

Ao Shanshan chortled and said, “He can still be even more famous.”

All of a sudden, her body swayed vigorously, reverting back to her dragon form — an over hundred feet long green dragon, coiling her body around with her whisks hovering in the air, she lifted her dragon claws to point at Zhong Yue and she shouted, “The Zhong Shan Clan member is here!”

Qiu Jin’er then shouted at the top of her voice, “Senior Martial Sister Ao, you….”

However, Ao Shanshan winked her eyes and whispered to the young human girl, “Don’t you worry, your senior martial brother won’t die in the Lesser Void World, even if he was slain, he will be revived at the Lang Ya Board.”

Just as she finished her sentence, the whole Lesser Void World went dead quiet, countless pair of sights fell onto Zhong Yue and stared at him — the whole scene turned eerily quiet.

Silence, dead silence, so quiet that even the sound of a needle falling onto the ground could be clearly perceived.

Even Ao Shanshan was shocked, her heart undulated unsettling; following which, the countless sights shifted away from Zhong Yue and fell onto Zhu Jushan, and they asked, “Zhong Shan Clan member Zhong Yue?”

“The Zhong Shan Clan member who reverse opened the five realms?”

In comparison, the brawny Zhu Jushan matched better for the description of the Zhong Shan Clan member more than Zhong Yue himself, which was why the Qi Practitioners ignored the real Zhong Yue and looked over at Zhu Jushan.

Being stared by the countless Qi Practitioners, even the daring Zhu Jushan’s face turned pale white; getting scrutinized by so many sights brought an immense pressure to him, even his frame of mind as an Atman Body cultivator couldn’t withstand it.

After all, this was the Lesser Void World City, the Atman Body Qi Practitioners here were from everywhere, the East, South, West and North Barrens, in addition to the oversea demon race, the Eastern Sea dragon race — the Atman Body Qi Practitioners gathered here were nearly hitting a thousand in numbers!

Getting glared by so many Atman Body Qi Practitioners, especially when the Qi Practitioners have opened the five realms, the Yin Yang Secret Realm resembles the eyes of the Qi Practitioners, giving the Qi Practitioners the ability to kill with their sights; for so many pairs of eyes staring at him, one could infer how immense the pressure was.

“Not me, him!”

The sights then shifted back to Zhong Yue again while he smiled and greeted them, “Great Wilderness Swords Gate, Zhong Yue of the Zhong Shan Clan, greets the senior martial siblings.”

“Isn’t Zhong Shan Clan member Zhong Yue eight feet tall and eight feet wide? Why is he a tiny little midget?”

“He looks like an easy target to be bullied….”

“Zhong Shan Clan Member, Ba Race Qi Practitioner, Ba Jun, challenge you!”

“Feng Qi Race Feng Yan’er challenge you!”

“Kui Long Race Kui Dongzhen challenge you!”

“Shan Shen Race Shan Qiuyu would like to see what a reverse opened Qi Practitioner is capable of!”

“He Bo Clan He Chuan….”

One after another, the Qi Practitioners alighted down before the Warrior Board, they surrounded Zhong Yue, Qiu Jin’er, Zhu Jushan and Ao Shanshan in the center, so crowded that not even a rat can thread past them; their vociferous voices filled the sky, sharp and deep, long and short, loud and quiet, all kinds of voices converged together into a cacophonous symphony of voice.

Zhong Yue was speechless, but they wouldn’t allow him to leave either, left with no choice, he raised his hands and said loudly, “Dear senior martial siblings, quiet, quiet please! Speak only one at a time!”

The clamorous voices finally settled down, but they were still staring at him, a celestial Qi Practitioner who has a hump on his back stepped forward and said, “Human Zhong Yue, Tuo Qianren of the Tuo Feng Race would like to….”

Zhong Yue looked at Tuo Qianren and locked his brows, he said, “Too weak.”

Tuo Qianren’s face changed drastically, he bellowed in anger, “What did you just say?”

Zhong Yue’s face also changed, he quickly waved his hand in the air and explained, “Brother Tuo, don’t get me wrong, I’m not just talking about you, but I’m saying that those that are present here are too weak, just like the home-raised chickens, you all looked like a bunch of easy targets to be bulled. Brother Tuo, please, don’t misunderstand my words, I’m not against you….”

The whole city turned dead quiet again, but this time, they could hear sounds of heavy breathing, and it felt like a volcano was on the brink of eruption.

Ao Shanshan blinked her beautiful eyes, she whispered, “Junior Martial Sister Qiu, is this how your senior martial brother always speak this way that attracts hatreds?”

Qiu Jin’er was puzzled, she defended Zhong Yue and said, “my senior martial brother is very polite, he is a kind man. Look, he just explained to Senior Martial Brother Tuo so that there wouldn’t be any misunderstandings….”
