Chapter 388 - The Derogatory Faces
“Demon God Contracted Puppet!”
The people in Fiery Capital, including the magnate Qi Practitioners all stared at the tiny wooden puppets, breathing heavily.
The Demon God Contracted Puppet was initially not famous at all, to the extent where there was barely anyone that had any knowledge about this item. But it recently became well known by everyone because of one incident.
When Zhong Yue was disguised as Mo Luo in the demons’ territory, he slaughtered every present magnate Qi Practitioner, including the clan masters of the eight saint clans in the Fiend Capital when he summoned Shi Tuo through the Demon God Contracted Puppet.
After inflicting such heavy damage on the demons, the hidden Demonic Gods of the demons had no choice but to return to plain sight to kill Zhong Yue. But instead of dying at the hands of the Demonic Gods, Zhong Yue escaped unscathed hrough some sort of mysterious ways.
All of this was no secret to everyone around the world.
In that battle, the Demonic God Contracted Puppet became extremely well known, inspiring everyone to search through the books of their clans for details about this tiny puppet’s origin and how the puppet possessed such incredible capability.
Among the many celestial races that researched the puppet, the Bai Zhe Clan possessed the most perfect heritages that recorded the secrets of various clans. Thus, they quickly knew what the puppet was. The other races sought answers from the Bai Zhe Clan and through them, everyone now knew about the puppet.
Suddenly, Sha Qishan smirked and said loudly, “Zhong Yue, stop lying! You’ve used the puppet twice, and two out of the three faces of the puppet have closed their eyes, which means that one more time and the Demonic God will devour your soul!”
Zhong Yue glanced at him and replied, “Greetings, Mr Sha. I hope you won’t forget who the one that thwarted Demon Saint’s plan was and saved you from dying. You owe me.”
Sha Qishan laughed loudly and said coldly again, “Such arrogance, brat. I owe you? Hmph, I escaped alive all because of my own abilities, what does that have to do with you?”
Zhong Yue knew that Sha Qishan was a man devoid of gratitude since he could betray the dragons that had cultivated him, so Zhong Yue was not surprised that Sha Qishan would say something like that. As he continued playing with the puppet in his hand, Zhong Yue laughed and said, “With the blade of Mr Xia Zhongjin resting on my neck and my life in his hands, what else more can I lose? Hmm… Having the entire Fiery Capital and the millions of lives here buried with me, might be very amazing!”
Upon hearing his words, everyone in Fiery Capital all trembled and shivered in fear.
If forced to a point where Zhong Yue couldn't care less anymore, no one would be able to escape alive if Zhong Yue triggered the Demonic God Contracted Puppet!
The Zhong Li Celestial Race might be strong, but they were definitely not as strong as the demon’s eight saint clans. They were bound to be annihilated by the Demonic God if Zhong Yue summoned it!
“Please don't act recklessly, Mr Zhong Yue.” The old man full of white hair from the Bai Zhe Clan coughed and said with a trembling old voice, “Ladies and gentlemen, this old man here is Bai Zhenbei from Bai Zhe Clan, he wishes to say something for Zhong Yue. I’m afraid that there might be some mistakes in how senior martial brother Xia Zhongjin handled the situation just now. It was obviously the Gui Shen Celestial Clan’s Qi Practitioner that attacked Zhong Yue first, and it was also them that broke the rules of Fiery Capital. Zhong Yue merely defended himself, and quite reasonably, as well. Are you trying to say that it is illegal and against the rules when someone merely defends themselves from those who attacked them?”
Shan Qingyang, the magnate Qi Practitioner from the Shan Shen Celestial Race, quickly nodded and added, “Agreed! Senior martial brother Xia Zhongjin, how you handled the situation was a little bit too much, so I couldn't stand aside and watch anymore. We Shan Shen Celestial Race and Zhong Yue might be enemies, but I have to say something anyhow. Zhong Yue can not be blamed for what happened.”
Sha Qishan’s eyes rolled around and said, “This is your fault, senior martial brother Xia Zhongjin. You Zhong Li Celestial Race listed in the rules that there should be no fighting within Fiery Capital, so you are responsible for ensuring your guests’ safety. It is the mistake of your Zhong Li Celestial Race when Zhong Yue was assaulted in Fiery Capital.”
The monster race’s Gaffer Di nodded quickly as well and added, “The Zhong Li Celestial Race failed to protect our safety and caused us to risk dying even in your capital. Senior martial brother Xia Zhongjin, you must really do something about it.”
Xia Zhongjin’s face darkened. When he looked at Wei Shaogong, the magnate Qi Practitioner from the Gui Shen Celestial Race, Wei Shaogong quickly pushed the responsibility away and said, “These two are just some garbage from our clan. They were under no orders or missions to assault Zhong Yue. Their actions were filthy, they have embarrassed my clan, but I never thought that they would affect senior martial brother Zhongjin. Now, I must request senior martial brother Zhongjin return justice to Zhong Yue without fearing that you will offend me.”
The Xia Clan Master then sighed seriously, “Zhongjin, this is your mistake this time, just listen to the many senior martial brothers here and apologize to Zhong Yue.”
Xia Zhongjin looked extremely frustrated, but suddenly let out a deep breath, calmed himself and said, “Zhong Yue, I have been careless in the investigating the incident, I am sorry!”
Zhong Yue however, smiled and replied, “Be more sincere.”
“What did you say?” shouted Xia Zhongjin angrily, his face quickly turning red from anger.
Zhong Yue kept smiling and said, “Your apologize was not sincere enough.”
“That’s right!” agreed everyone around and the bystanders said again, “Senior martial brother Xia Zhongjin, if you are apologizing to someone, you must be more sincere if you really want to resolve the misunderstanding.”
“What is wrong with apologizing to Zhong Yue and asking for his forgiveness after you tried to execute him?”
“Zhongjin, just admit your mistakes, or the entire capital will be buried along with you!”

Xia Zhongjin then tried his best to calm himself as he bowed ninety degrees and shouted, “Zhong Yue, I am at fault, thus, I beg for your forgiveness now! I will not get back up if you do not forgive me!”
Zhong Yue then kept quiet as he looked at the man bowing at him.
After quite a moment, Xia Zhongjin’s face turned red again while silence devoured the surroundings as everyone looked at Zhong Yue. Bai Zhenbei from Bai Zhe Clan quickly asked, “Zhong Yue?”
To Bai Zhenbei’s question, Zhong Yue laughed and said, “I forgive you, Mr Xia Zhongjin. I will not dwell on this matter anymore.”
He then flung his hand, throwing the doll into the hands of Bai Zhenbei, who quickly caught it as if the puppet was extremely hot. The old man quickly asked, “What is the meaning of this, Zhong Yue? This is not my possession so please take it back…”
“That is just a normal puppet, not the Demonic God Contracted Puppet. That is one that I carved to look like the Demonic God during my free time. I now gift it to you, for old mister speaking up for me just now.”
“A fake?” the stunned Bai Zhenbei blurted out as he quickly examined the puppet in his hand.
“It’s not the real one?!” shouted many Qi Practitioners at the same time.
Who would have thought that Zhong Yue would pull out a fake Demonic God Contracted Puppet that scared them so greatly that they actually forced Xia Zhongjin to apologize to Zhong Yue.
In an instant, various thoughts and emotions ran wild within the minds of the many people around, while the enraged Xia Zhongjin shouted, “Zhong Yue! How dare you scare me with a fake! Die!”
Just when Xia Zhongjin was about to plunge towards Zhong Yue, Zhong Yue turned his head and said out of nowhere, “But I have the real one with me, do you really intend to force me to use it? If not, just shut up.”
Xia Zhongjin immediately stopped shouting, panting angrily after being played by a junior like monkey in a circus. Yet he had no other way to retaliate, and could only swallow all the anger down.
Zhong Yue laughed, and as he glanced at the people around, he said calmly, “You people are merely disgusting characters that only play dirty in the name of justice, you really disgust me….”
Then, Zhong Yue walked out from the palace. Everyone could only hold their anger back and watch him walk out at a slow yet stable pace.
What Zhong Yue had done just now not only embarrassed Xia Zhongjin, but also the higher-ups of the many clans, yet they couldn't do anything but receive all the insults from him.
Underneath the foot of Bai Zhenbei, Bai Canghai resonated with the words of Zhong Yue and said with a nod, “These higher-ups are really disgusting…”
“Shut up!”
The old man regretted greatly that he had stood up for Zhong Yue. If he had known that Zhong Yue was toying around with a fake puppet and thrown it to him, he wouldn't have stood up for Zhong Yue at all. Now, he worried greatly about how the others would think of him. Would they think that he was one of Zhong Yue’s companions?
They are afraid of harming Zhong Yue now, but that does not mean that they won't harm his companions and clans….
But what was done was done, no one would believe Bai Zhenbei if he explained anything.
What the heck, Bai Canghai, this little rascal must also be an innate spirit body, the Comet Innate Spirit Body! I, Bai Zhenbei, have lived through many predicaments and have never made any trouble, yet two times I’ve brought him out and two times he has caused such messes. The first time was still fine, just a mouth of a crow that offended a few little juniors, but this time, he…., Bai Zhenbei thought in his heart.
As Bai Zhenbei felt extremely worried and frustrated, Bai Canghai continued to annoy Bai Zhenbei by saying all sorts of nonsense. In the end, Bai Zhenbei stepped on Bai Canghai with even greater strength and drove him all the way into the ground.

Meanwhile, Zhong Yue walked out from the Fiery Saint Palace. Qiu Jin’er and the other girls welcomed him immediately. Before Qiu Jin’er reacted, Jun Sixie has already grabbed onto the Ghost Sword that was pierced through Zhong Yue’s chest, pulling it out carefully before immediately applying medicine to his wounds.
Qiu Jin’er was confused, as this was supposed to be done by her, not Jun Sixie. After all, Jun Sixie had put on some makeup that completely changed her appearance into some stranger. From the point of view of Qiu Jin’er, it was very suspicious that a strange lady treated Zhong Yue’s wound, and he did not reject her at all.
Qiu Jin’er measured Jun Sixie and the more she examined Jun Sixie, the more suspicious Jun Sixie became in her eyes. She suddenly asked, “May I know your name, sister?”
“I am…” Jun Sixie once had her wounds treated by Zhong Yue, and felt that it was completely normal for her to help Zhong Yue treat his wounds, but she had forgotten that she was now in disguise. Now, she was in trouble, as her actions were very suspicious and she quickly said, “To be honest, I am the scion of the Northern Sea Remedy Valley and my name is Sun Sisi. I treated him merely because I am a doctor.”
“Scion of Northern Sea Remedy Valley?” Bai Canghai quickly came over to her and asked, “Can you please take a look at me, then? My body belongs to the Yin element and the arts of we Bai Zhe Clan are all Yin type. With that, my body is extremely weak because of the excessive Yin Qi in my body, could sister cure it for me?”
