Chapter 709: The Supreme Rule

Translator: Exodus Tales  Editor: Exodus Tales

Zhong Yue walked down from Realm Monarch Si’s palm and he thought, I won because I had luck on my side. Things would be fairly different if my opponent was Xuan Xue.

The sole reason he managed to win against Zheng Yan was because her Five Elemental True Spirits were not awakened yet, thus, putting them at a disadvantage against his Sun Moon Twin Spirit.

But if it were Xuan Xue, Zhong Yue would not be able to channel and prepare for the [Mystic Dao Crusher] as he would be welcomed with a series of rapid chained attacks!

Meanwhile, the outcome of the battles among the other groups had yet to be decided and when Zhong Yue looked at them, he realized unlike his groups, the situation of the other groups were way different; Shu Ye who was in the first group was already defeated but since his teacher was Heavenly King Shang, his opponent spared his life.

On the second group, Bi was still fighting with Hua Zhenchuan from Earth Realm.

The third group, Li Tianxing was dueling with Yi Qianhu and after paying quite a great cost, Li Tianxing managed to defeat his opponent, but he was then sniped by Chang Shaobo and the situation was very dire.

For the fourth group, An had already stand his ground firmly on the top as his opponent couldn’t even put up a fight.

The fifth group, while Jun Wudao eliminated Si Moqiu and Jiao Ruye, Qian Zeng had already disqualified Zhu Yu and Dao Guang, resulting in a battle between Jun Wudao and Qian Zeng. However, from Zhong Yue’s perspective, Jun Wudao’s chances of winning were very slim.

At the same time, Shen Qi who was in the seventh group died long ago.

Whereas Yu Bochuan who was in the eighth group, Yu Bochuan was one of the strongest among them and with that terrifying [Sacrificial Prayers to Heaven] that even Zhong Yue was reluctant to deal with, the other Qi Practitioners from the other realms focused their fire right onto Yu Bochuan because he was a formidable one.

“What a shame, Brother Bochuan might lose,” murmured Zhong Yue; Yu Bochuan was not weaker than him but because of the very unique trait of the [Sacrificial Prayers to Heaven], he posed a very high threat to the others so it was natural that his opponents would band together to wipe him out first.

On the ninth group in which Ye Zhengming belonged, he too, had lost his life after running into a strong foe.

Although there was the Realm Monarch, the Heavenly Kings and the Realm Lords from the many realms, there were still high casualties in the competition as at least forty percent of the participants had been killed.

And what happened next was completely out of Zhong Yue’s expectation; Bi and An actually gave up at the most crucial moment as they jumped down from the palms of the two Heavenly Kings.

Realm Lord Fa of the Prison Realm frowned upon this scene and so did Realm Monarch Helian Yunshan, which prompted the Realm Monarch to summon Bi and An forward, “Dear brothers, why give up?”

He knew the origin and legacy of Bi and An, thus, he was very polite with them and did not take them lightly just because he was the Realm Monarch.

The brothers, on the other hand, looked at each other and they replied, “First or not does not matter for us. We are here merely to train ourselves and experience the bitterness and sweetness of life.”

Realm Monarch sighed and with a slightly disappointed tone, he said, “It doesn’t matter much for you but it matters a lot for us in the Wei Shen Six Path World….”

However, he did not force them even though the brothers did not want to try their best, “If possible, please contribute more for our world in the future. Thank you.”

Bi and An nodded and they said, “We will.”

Not long later, the winner within each groups had been decided; Yu Bochuan was dragged into a ferocious battle and at the final moment, he managed to force one of his opponent to yield and with the addition power he gained from the yielded opponent, he managed to terrorize the others with superior strength and slammed them out from the palm.

However, after going through a series of tough and dangerous moments, Yu Bochuan was so severely injured that as soon as he got out from the Realm Lord’s palm, he couldn’t withstand the wounds anymore and fainted right away. Immediately, Zhong Yue quickly rushed to his side and protected him.

With that, the competition among the ten groups ended and the ten strongest Qi Practitioners had been decided; they were Qi Tianzheng of the Elemental Realm, Hua Zhenchuan of the Earth Realm, Ju Ying of the Heaven Realm, King Xin Ling of the Earth Realm, Qian Zeng of the Myriad Realm, Zhong Yue of the Prison Realm, Bi Shan of the Celestial Realm, Yu Bochuan of the Prison Realm, Shi Yinji of the Heaven Realm and Que Yunfei of the Celestial Realm from the ten groups respectively.

Among the ten winners, two were from the Heaven Realm, Earth Realm, Prison Realm and Celestial Realm each, and the Myriad and Elemental Realm had one each. The Heaven Realm was still incredibly strong even after Prince Yun He and the eleven top tier Qi Practitioners had been killed. But Shi Yinji and Ju Ying from the Heaven Realm still managed to secure a place in the top ten Qi Practitioners!

But the Prison Realm had greatly surprised everyone, having two strong who occupied two seats in the top ten.

Fa Zhaozhen was extremely pleased at this sight as the Prison Realm had always been the lowest ranking Realm in the competition, giving him the title of the Realm Lord of the Worst Ranks.

But Fa Zhaozhen was still kind of disappointed upon seeing Bi an An gave up just like that.

If the Prison Realm occupied four seats, then things would have been extremely interesting. The faces of the other Realm Lords would’ve been a sight to see!

With the winners decided, the event officer stood out and dismissed everyone. The Qi Practitioners returned to their own quarters to prepare for the real competition against the other 2,999 Six Paths World.

“The competition will be taking place in the first Six Paths World,” announced the protocol officer, “The date, however, will be decided after the 3,000 Realm Monarchs come to an agreement. Be patient and get yourselves readied in your own courtyard in the Heaven Realm.”

Everyone then bowed and returned to their own courtyard.

Zhong Yue was confused and he immediately asked softly, “The first Six Paths World? Itsn’t it abandoned? Why there?”

He came from the first Six Paths World and now, after knowing the competition will be taking place at the first Six Paths World, his heart sank.

He had gone through a lot in order to get out of the first Six Paths World to head to Zi Wei Galaxy, yet now he was going back to where he started?

To his relief, Jun Wudao shook and replied, “Not that abandoned one but the Bo Luo Six Paths World that replaced the abandoned it as the new first Six Path World. The Realm Monarch of the Bo Luo Six Paths World is known as Dao Ming, the strongest of all 3,000 Realm Monarchs with countless exceptional subordinates under his command.”

“Realm Monarch Bo Luo, the strongest of all?”

Zhong Yue’s mind shifted slightly; in this universe, there are countless Realm Monarchs. While their Six Paths World might have a low ranking, their capabilities might not be as weak as everyone thought and vice versa, thus, Realm Monarch Bo Luo must very amazing to be recognized as the strongest Realm Monarch.

“They said that Realm Monarch Bo Luo is close to becoming an Imperial Emperor.”

Suddenly, a voice sounded and when Zhong Yue looked backwards, Zheng Yan was standing behind them sometime ago while staring at Jun Wudao with her beautiful eyes and she said, “Pretty. No wonder Evil God Zhong shamelessly set me up just for you. So, Evil God Zhong, who is the other girl?

Zhong Yue shook his head upon this question and he said, “You’ve misunderstood me. I did not ask for Senior Martial Sister Wudao.”

“What a playboy,” murmured Zheng Yan as she rolled her eyes and she said, “I can’t believe you have two other girls.”

Jun Wudao was puzzled and when she looked at Zheng Yan from head to toe, she praised her in her heart and asked, “And you are?”

“Myriad Realm’s Zheng Yan, thanks to the mercy of Evil God Zhong, I am still alive today,” introduced Zheng Yan herself and she said, “Be careful of this one, senior martial sister. He is a playful one and has a lot of girls.”

Jun Wudao bursted out laughing and clarified immediately, “We are not together. I never thought that the sinister Evil God Zhong would actually have mercy on someone, perhaps he has fallen for you?”

At this point, Zhong Yue felt that there was a need for him to explain for himself, thus, he quickly said, “Stop, I’m still a virgin….”

“Shut up!” shouted the two ladies in sync as they clearly did not believe Zhong Yue.

And it was at this moment that Fa Zhaozhen summoned them, “Zhong Yue and Yu Bochuan, come forth!”

His voice entered Zhong Yue’s and Yu Bochuan’s minds who regained consciousness, summoning them to the palace he temporarily resided. Upon hearing that, Zhong Yue quickly helped Yu Bochuan into the palace, where they met with a very happy Fa Zhaozhen. He was pacing about within the palace while rubbing his hands, “I promised you that if you entered the top ten and obtained the chance to represent us Prison Realm and clear our name, I will allow you to be reborn into the Heaven Realm with the best bloodline as the highest class celestial race! Now, I am here to fulfill my promise. Name a celestial race you want to be reborn to and I will grant you your wish no matter the cost!”

To his surprise, however, Zhong Yue shook his head and said, “Don’t worry about it, I think that the Prison Realm is fine and if you feel bad about it, why don’t you give me something else?”

Fa Zhaozhen widened his eyes and said with a laugh, “What do you wish for?”

“All humans within the Prison Realm,” replied Zhong Yue, to which Fa Zhaozhen frowned and said, “What did you say? I didn’t hear it clear enough.”

Zhong Yue immediately said, “If you feel bad about it….”

“I did not feel bad about anything.”

Fa Zhaozhe did not even flinch and he said shamelessly, “I won’t, don’t worry. How about you, Yu Bochuan?”

Yu Bochuan looked at Zhong Yue and he said, “Same. My bloodline is not that good in the Heaven Realm, but I can still win against those from the Heaven Realm. Whether or not my bloodline is good or not doesn’t matter anymore. If it’s possible, you can just give Brother Zhong what he asked for.”

Fa Zhaozhen stared at them angrily and he shouted, “Are you trying to defy me?”

Zhong Yue and Yu Bochuan were completely confused at Fa Zhaozhen’s response and upon seeing their confoundment, he sighed and sealed the dimension around the palace to prevent what he was going to say from being exposed. He said, “Are you getting tired of staying alive? How dare you speak of this? Do you know the story of the Prison Realm? All of the Prison Realms were not created to imprison those criminals but the humans! Zhong Yue! How dare you ask for such thing? Even if I grant you your wish, you won’t be able to receive it without getting yourself killed. I was doing this for your own good!”

Yu Bochuan was dumbfounded and after losing his voice for a moment, he shouted, “How is that possible! Humanity is the weakest race in the entire universe…. Brother Zhong, I’m not talking about you!”

Zhong Yue, on the other hand, remained silent at the revelation of Fa Zhaozhen.

Fa Zhaozhen shook his head and he explained, “This was revealed to me by the previous Realm Lord. He told me that there is this fixed rules that cannot be changed and this rule is that even after the other races escaped, all humans must be imprisoned within the Prison Realm no matter what. This is the supreme rule that all Prison Realm’s Realm Lord must abide to no matter the cost! I was once puzzled by this rule as well but when I dug into every single thing related to this rule, I failed to find any clues about it. There was an empty period in the ancient timeline where nothing was recorded.”
