Damien finally found himself being brought down to a couple of tall black towers whose tips touched the clouds.
"Do not worry about your arm. I will help you heal it, and it will be as good as new soon," Akira said as they both landed on a large landscape surrounding the largest black tower.
"Thank you," Damien said, feeling that she really wanted to help him.
"No need to thank me. It is the least I should do," Akira said as she glanced at him with a soft smile.
There were a lot of armed guards around this tower, but all of them bent their backs the moment they saw her and called out at the top of their voices, "Chief Warlord Raven!"
It was as if they were bowing to show respect to a queen or a warlord?
Damien was shocked by two things. One, he actually understood what they were saying even though they weren't speaking the ethereal language. Two, he heard them address her as 'Chief Warlord Raven' and immediately remembered why he thought this name felt familiar.
Ruthren had asked him in anger and frustration whether he was sent by someone called the Night Raven. Could it be that he was referring to this woman in front of him? Damien was now even more curious, wondering how Ruthren knew about her and why he feared her. Of course, he knew she was the strongest cultivator he had met so far, but there had to be some other reason as well.
However, he noticed that her expression wasn't gentle like before and was as cold as a rock, just like when he first saw her. In fact, he felt her aura change into that of an imposing one. He literally felt like he was following a powerful powerhouse whose power knew no depths.
But he could feel the heavy, strange gazes landing on him. Some of these gazes were enough to give goosebumps to any ordinary person. However, Damien was someone who had been through a lot, and instead of getting spooked, he felt that the last thing these people expected to see was a human beside this woman.
"Chief Warlord Raven. What a surprise…" Suddenly a man's fine voice sounded from the side as Damien saw a handsome young-looking man with pale gray skin just like the others here. He had long black hair that reached his waist and was wearing a neat and well-designed maroon sleeveless leather jacket with a full-sleeved shirt underneath.
He surely stood out among the others of his race due to his natural poise, and his eyes were fixed on Akira as he walked toward her.
After hearing him speak, Damien had no doubt that he somehow now understood their language and had no idea how.
"Warlord Khun, I wasn't expecting you here. What is it you want for you to come all the way here?" Akira asked with a slightly irate look.
Khun smiled as he briefly glanced at the injured dirty human male standing behind her, "I came here for something important, but how interesting…Who would have thought you would be bringing one of those wretched humans into the place where you live? I thought you detested the idea of buying a human slave since you can't stand them, especially after what they did to you."
Damien pulled together his brows as he wondered what this guy was talking about. If she really hated humans, why would she be gentle towards him? But he didn't like the vibe he was getting from this guy, and apparently, he was looking down on him and considering him as some insect.

But he didn't believe Akira brought him here to be her slave for a lot of reasons. To start with, she chanced upon him and not because she was looking to get a human slave, and then there was the brief exchange he shared with her where both of them had the same amulet, and she seemed to be familiar with him.
Even if he was wrong, he had no choice but to wait and see how things pan out. He secretly prayed to Luna to protect his wives. Since Luna was literally the strongest divine being, he considered her as a god people usually pray to, even though he had never believed in gods before.
"I don't have to inform you whenever I feel like taking in a human slave. Now get out of my sight," Akira firmly said with a cold look.
Khun raised his hands as he took a step back, "Alright, I am sorry for being nosy, but I came here to tell you that the Daemon Lord's envoy is waiting for your presence."
Damien noticed that Akira's expression became even more irate as she said without glancing at Khun, "Tell them to wait. I am not here to entertain them at their whim."
Khun raised his brows subtly as he asked, "Are you sure? They might get offended, and it—"
"If you are so concerned, then go ahead and keep them busy till I come. They are just mere envoys. If it was something urgent, the Daemon Lord should have come personally," Akira said before turning around to walk towards the door.
Khun didn't seem that surprised by her response and shook his head with a long sigh.
But just as he was walking away, he again took a good look at this new human slave Night Raven had brought home.
He not only found this fact to be very surprising but behind all the dirt and injury on this human, he noticed that he was in better shape than most humans out there.
He was about to do a quick probe to check his cultivation but,
*Crackle!*
Suddenly a dark purple lightning streak whizzed right past Khun's face, startling him as he gulped and stood stiffly.
"I told you…not to meddle in my business," Akira said in a low voice, yet one could feel how livid she was.
