"Are there really no other quarters where we can stay on our own? Just a single room will suffice," Reva asked Farah, seeing how the quarters they were assigned were filled with these rude men and women.

She could also feel the brazen gazes and stares from these uncouth men and women which wasn't something she was used to since back in the Rising Sun Continent, nobody would even look her in the eyes.

Before Farah could reply, Gunner scoffed and said, "What's wrong, princess? Are we too unworthy for you and your friends to not stay with us? Look at these princesses, people. They think they own the place right after taking refuge in our community."

"Yeah! How presumptuous of them to do so. You all think we are lesser than you people just because we don't get to be lucky to be born in a place with all sorts of luxuries we can't dream of?" A woman with tied up black hair and wearing a dark blue uniform said with a nasty look while staring at these four, feeling jealous of their beauty that even seemed to put the stars to shame. Her name was Becca, and she was one of the senior soldiers here, just like Gunner.

Reva pulled her brows together as she said, "That is not what I meant. We just wish to be left alone and let us mind our own business. We also don't want to cause any hindrance to any of you."

Yuria sighed as she could see that even a calm and cool person like Reva was getting annoyed. But she knew it was because Reva was tired after everything that happened, and knowing nothing about Damien's well-being must be picking at her nerves just like for them.

If it was any other normal situation, she would have picked a fight with them, but now she was just fed up and wanted to have a good old rest and think about their next move.

"That is not how it works around here, princess," Gunner said with a snicker as he continued, "Our code is that we fight and die together. We already know you four will join the fighting ranks soon enough, so isn't it only right that we get to know the newcomers who would be fighting for us? Otherwise, would we be able to trust them to support us while fighting together? Right, guys?"

"You said it right, Gunner!" Lita said with a smirk.

"They think they wouldn't have to raise a single finger and enjoy their time here while we bleed and die fighting the ghouls, ha!" Another man in a dark blue uniform said in an abrasive tone. His name was Milo, and he was in the same group as Gunner. He was tall and lanky with slanted eyes.

"It is only natural that those born with a silver spoon would look down on us," A woman with ginger hair said as she curled her lips in scorn. Her name was Lita, and she was Gunner's girlfriend, or so she considered herself.

Lily could see that these people were purposefully looking to cause trouble, and since she was too tired to deal with any of this, she said in a pacifying tone, "We understand, but we are too tired after our journey. But can we continue this conversation tomorrow after we have taken some rest?"

Lily wanted to smooth things over for now since she knew that they were in a new, unknown place without any kind of support. She didn't want her and her sisters to be the first ones to cause any trouble and make the Station Lord regret taking them in.

Lita looked at Lily with a hostile expression as she stepped forward and said, "Look at this little lady here. She thinks she is tired after doing what…nothing? Do you think we are not feeling tired after surviving against ghouls every day? Do you even dare to spend a day outside without our help? You wouldn't last an hour, heh," As she said this, she was about to use her finger to push Lily away in contempt.

But before her finger could touch Lily, her wrist was firmly gripped by a woman with blood-red eyes.

"You have talked enough," Valentina said in a blood-chilling tone as her grip tightened around her wrist.

Lita's eyes widened in shock as she felt like her wrist was about to get crushed, "Ah-AHHH!! My wrist! Let go of me, bitch! Gunner, save me!"

Farah accidentally chortled, feeling amused by Lita's expression and cries. But this was nothing compared to how rough Valentina was with her.

"Weak vermin!" Valentina said in a sharp tone as she pushed her away, making her fall onto Gunner, who caught her with a look of surprise, not expecting Valentina to possess that much strength.

He had already sensed that Valentina had the strongest cultivation among the others. But even then, Lita was at the Late levels of the Heaven Ethereal Realm. How could she easily get suppressed by someone at the First Level of the Profound Ethereal Realm?

The people standing around also had surprised expressions as they saw how easily this pink-haired beauty easily suppressed one of their senior members.

Gunner didn't show any anger. Instead, he pushed Lita towards Milo and said with a slight smile, "How interesting. It seems you have some strength in you. So how about this? You all need a quarters of your own, right? Only the best soldiers here get such privileges since they earned them. Even I have to share my room with Milo, Lita, and Becca. But…here's the deal. Let's have a duel between my friends and you four. If you guys win, then we four will move out of our room and let you four have it instead of ending up in mixed rooms," His eyes glowed with a certain glint as he added, "But if you guys lose, then you four will have to stay with us. Agreed?"
