In a lit up room, a man with lengthy black hair and bright blue eyes laid on a bed, looking intently at the screen of a sleek phone. With an arm behind his head, and a firm curious gaze on his screen, the man read the words before him with calm and anxious excitement.
His name was Genji Zenith, a 26-year-old Japanese male with a strapping body and defined face who loves anything related to martial arts. Currently, he was reading a novel called 'Rise of the Cosmic Martial Artist', a novel where the protagonist, a weak noble-born son, strives for strength with a newfound passion. With the help of a mysterious system, he rises to the top of his world, and ascends beyond the clouds to conquer the stars. The name of this protagonist coincidentally had the same name as Genji, and honestly, he found this one of the main reasons why he liked this novel so much, plus, sometimes he'd even imagine himself as the main character.
However, without any warning or prior indication, his vision and surroundings became void black. His unwavering spirit started to tremble at the unknown felling of nothingness. Then suddenly, everything seemed bright, and he closed his eyes for a brief moment, before opening them.
What he saw in front of him confused him. He was lying in a luxurious bed wearing unknown clothing and looking at an unknown room. Both his curiosity and caution were raised to the peak, as he saw what was around him. The bed that he was laying on had a dark-wooden canopy on it with azure shaded cloth hanging from it, and the furniture surrounding the room was beautifully ancient looking. With a vanity desk out in front of the bed, and a dresser beside it, he looked around and saw some other things that he didn't quite recognize.
Small fist-sized boxes were laid out on the surface of the vanity desk, and certain objects were placed around the room on other furnitures. He couldn't quite understand his situation yet, so he decided to get up and look around. A set of windows on each side of the room displayed a bright morning light as he wandered through the room and finally came over to the vanity desk, where he took up one of the small boxes in his hand.
After he had opened it, he found a spherical golden ball inside that laid upon an extravagant red cloth. The small golden ball seemed to radiate a glistening yellow aura that made his mind feel at ease of everything around him. So without further ado, he took out the small golden ball and plopped in in his mouth, before swallowing it.
Honestly, he had a superstitious and instinctive feeling of what to do with this, and actually, if this was what he thought it was, then his dream had finally come into fruition. But other than that, after he consumed the small golden ball, a radiant golden energy sprung out from him, and he dropped to the floor with crossed legs. He immediately brought his hands under each other and closed his eyes, before focusing on the circulation of this energy around his body.
A soothing warmth spread all throughout his body as he intently circulated the energy around and in him. Strength surged through him as he gained some insight on his current situation. If he was correct, then this would be a rare cultivation pill called the 'Golden Flower Pill' that supposedly helped a cultivator, or martial artist, increase their internal energy.
More importantly, he was correct, and that means that he would be on a world known as 'Tengoku', otherwise known as 'Heavenland', the main and starting world in the novel 'Rise of the Cosmic Martial Artist'. Hopes and dreams filled his subconscious thoughts as he calmly focused on maintaining the flow of golden energy surrounding him.
A while later, the golden energy that surrounded him was absorbed fully, and he felt noticeably stronger, however his mind was fatigued and his thoughts were delayed, so he picked himself up, and laid down on the bed. His slow thoughts made their way around and around as he tried to figure out some things and get a grasp on what's happening as of now.

So from what he's gathered, he's now it the novel world of 'Tengoku' as a martial artist, or cultivator. Since that's the case, he wound up his thoughts and searched through some of his memories of the novel, wondering who he is, or rather, if he is anyone in particular. He soon found his answer when a woman wearing a classic maid uniform came in, calling his 'name'.
"Young Master Zenith? Are you awake? It's late morning and you've yet to come out of your room, are you alright?" The caring voice of a young woman entered his ears as he gathered his thoughts as stood up, right as she fully came through the door. Hearing his actual name called slightly alerted him, however if he was actually in 'Rise of the Cosmic Martial Artist', then that meant that he was the protagonist! His elation faded as he silently composed himself and spoke to the young maid.
"Yes, Yurina, I am awake. I've been cultivating with one of the 'Golden Flower Pills', so I was occupied with keeping in the energy that it gave me." His deep but clear voice came out as he spoke calmly to the young maid. Though almost immediately after he finished speaking, a shocked expression appeared on the young maid's face. This was probably due to the fact that the novel's protagonist, or the previous Genji Zenith, didn't cultivate at all, in fact he couldn't, and even if he could, he refused to. Well, that was only until 'it' happened.
"The...The Young Master is cultivating!? B-But how?! Why!?" Her reaction was normal for the situation, because the meaning of someone who 'can't' cultivate, means that either they have a broken dantian, or they have absolutely no 'talent'. So, this right here, what he just did, should be nearly impossible. The only way for someone like him who apparently had a broken dantian since birth to start cultivating was that either he found a legendary elixir, or he burned an enormous amount of his lifeforce and forced himself to regenerate a new dantian. So honestly, this really should be impossible, but for him, who somehow awoke in this body with a perfect dantian, it definitely wasn't impossible.
"I learned a secret technique that helped me heal my dantian and absorb the energy of the Golden Flower Pill, so yes, I am cultivating, and from now on, I will be cultivating." His words were like a bomb to the young maid's mind, and actually, she nearly fainted, but with a swift movement, he caught her in his arms. She regained clarity almost instantly, and when she did, her cheeks flushed red. His now scarlet-red eyes were looking into hers with care and calmness like no other, and his face, which seemed to have been sculpted by the gods was now in full view. Also, he had an arm wrapped around her waist, and another on her back because she was leaning slightly backwards and off balance.
"Are you alright, Yuria? Don't worry, there'll be way more of these impossibilities happening from now on, so keep on your feet." His soothing and gentle words full of care and calmness sent a wave of warmth over the young maid known as Yuria, and she couldn't help but melt in his embrace. He couldn't stop his smile from showing when he felt her melt into his embrace, so he held her tightly and gently. After reminiscing about the novel, he came to remember her name, and how she went along with Genji throughout his whole journey as his loyal maidservant. Her care and diligence with the previous Genji made him want to hold her close, and he surely wouldn't let her go, so he'll take her in-in full.
They stood there for a few minutes, before Yuria, the young maid, pulled back and spoke to him with a newfound care and warmth. "Young Master... I'm... thankful, truly thankful." A warm smile was present on her face as she said this, however right after she said this, the door swung open behind her, and Genji's father, the sect leader of the Scarlet Dawn sect, came into the room behind her. Genji pulled her close, and he looked at his 'father' right in his scarlet eyes as he spoke with a slightly hostile and welcoming tone.
"Hello... Father, what may I do for you...?" The look in Renji Zenith's eyes was that of condescendence and slight disappointment, but he still spoke out with neutrality. "Genji... What are you doing...?" His face showed no visible emotion, but his eyes and voice displayed hidden hostility in them. From Genji's memories, this man was the previous Genji's father, and the sect leader of the Scarlet Dawn sect. Also, although he provided for, and protected his son, he loathed him for being weak and being born with a broken dantian.
"I was cultivating, Father. My dantian has been restored in full, so I will start cultivating from now on." The neutral expression, and hostility on Renji's face and in his tone disappeared without a trace once he heard that his son with an in-born broken dantian now had his dantian restored, not only that, he now had a visible, genuine smile on his face. "That's... Fantastic, Genji..." The tone of his voice now had traces of familial love and warmth that neither the previous or the current Genji had seen before. Even though he was his father, Renji spared no effort in hopes of his son being able to cultivate, so he used his massive wealth to accumulate rare elixirs and techniques that he'd never touch or use. It was all for his son, and now that Genji had a functioning dantian, and the will to cultivate, he knew his efforts, were not in vain.
