“Seriously. I would have beat that guy’s ass so hard if you hadn't stopped me, Selene.”
Asterios and Silvia chuckled together as Miria’s annoyed huff and raised voice reached them. They walked past the slowly dispersing crowd and found all their friends standing together as a group. The usually cheerfully panthergirl had a severe pout on her adorable face, crossing her arms under her chest.
“As you have seen, Master had everything under control, isn’t that right, fufufu~?”
Selene glanced at the just arriving duo and all the other women noticed them too. Miria immediately blushed a beautiful shade of pink and looked away. Asterios smiled at her and separated from Silvia after the princess nodded at him, coming closer to brush through his first mate’s soft hair and caress her ears.
“It’s just as Selene says. Everything went according to Silvia’s plans. But, I’m always glad to see how far you would go for me. Thank you.”
Miria giggled shyly and Asterios cupped her chin up to place a delicate kiss on her tender lips. She purred lovingly into his mouth and moved it past him to rub their cheeks together after they broke the brief but pleasant exchange. Her enchanting purrs grew even more when he carefully twirled her sensitive tail.
“Even the part where you almost castrated him?” Grea asked, grinning heavily at him and the princess.
Asterios chuckled while shaking his head and even Silvia showed a little smirk.
“No, I didn’t expect the duel to play out like that,” she replied to the demon woman. “But, everything else went without any major surprises.”
“So, you guys planned all of that?” Miria asked curiously, withdrawing herself from leaning on Ast’s chest and moving to his side with a tinge of rosiness still decorating her skin.
“While Asterios said planned, I don’t think Silvia had such specific arrangements for this night,” Tina joined in. “Correct me if I’m wrong, but everything you have done since the two of you entered the mansion was meant to build an image of a strong, respectful, extremely important person who might be on par if not above you as the princess, in the minds of the gathered nobles. That little peck at the start, the dance, then your openly familiar kiss, and finally your polite speech before and after the duel. All of it should have shown everyone that you care about the relationship between you two.”
A small, soft smile curled Silvia’s lips. “As expected from a real noble. I’m unspeakably proud and glad to know that our kingdom has you and your family, Tina.”
It was Tina’s turn to blush heavily and look aside after receiving such a precious compliment. Grea pushed herself into her back and wrapped her arm around Tina’s waist.
“Our two noble ladies are real schemers, aren’t they?” She snickered while eyeing both Tina and Silvia. “And well, we can’t forget to credit the main actor who carried the entire show. That was such a flashy execution!”
Asterios rolled his eyes as Grea devilishly licked her lips in his direction.
“The most important part is that Eugene should no longer bother Silvia with his constant nagging,” he replied, taking a peek at the princess.
“Thank you. Even though you didn’t have to, I know you did it for me, and that makes me feel happy and very lucky.” She nodded politely with a hand over her chest and a dazzling smile.
“Oooooooooh. Look at those cuties. Trying to cover up their nefarious schemes to brainwash the entire kingdom’s nobility into being scared and respectful of a mysterious Dragon Lord by diverting everyone’s attention to a white knight defending his lady’s honor. How sweeeet,” Grea cooed at them and everyone chuckled lightly. “I guess I shall lend you two a hand. Rumors won’t spread themselves. Off I go!”
She winked at them and sauntered away, sensually swaying her delicious hips and sexy tail. Grea’s very suggestive dress which exposed her entire back and most of her front drew men’s attention like honey did bees and she clearly intended to make full use of it, heading towards a small clique of young noblemen, swiping a fresh glass of champagne off the tray of a nearby butler.
“It looks like she quickly grew used to her apparel. And she was so anxious at first.” Tina giggled to herself.
“That’s Grea for you.” Asterios smiled at her. “I’m afraid she will make at least a few young noble ladies unhappy very soon.”
“It’s all on the men if they let themselves be seduced away from their spouses. It’s not like she is using Charm Magic or other underhanded methods on them.” Silvia gently shook her head.
“She is right! If it was Master, no one would be able to seduce him away from us!” Miria exclaimed with full confidence.
“That’s because I’ve already had everything I needed after you made me your mate,” he replied lovingly and kissed her fluffy ear.
“I have to thank you for not keeping Asterios only to yourself and letting me join you.” Silvia chuckled quietly at Miria but her faint smile betrayed that she wasn’t just joking.
“It’s nothing, ehehe~ I always felt that you would make a good pair with Master.” Miria reciprocated the smile shyly. “And I’m glad too. With how close we are to unlocking Master’s true form, I don’t think I would be able to take proper care of him as a mate alone.”
“And to think that it was Master who had to supplement himself to keep up with the two of us not that long ago, fufufu~” Selene chuckled mischievously from behind her slender hand, making Miria blush even more.
“Alright, alright, enough of this mating talk.” Tina stepped into the middle of everyone and waved her arms at them, quite red too. “We are at a respectful banquet, even though the star of the show wasn’t exactly any close to that. We still should retain at least some level of decency.”
“You are right. I think I still owe all of you a dance. At least that was the plan before we were rudely interrupted,” Asterios agreed and slid his hand into Miria’s palm.
She beamed at him with one of the brightest smiles while her tail swayed joyfully behind her crimson babydoll dress. Without further ado, Asterios led them back to where the dancing floor and they started moving in tune with the music. This time, the band played a much livelier piece but that was just perfect for Miria, allowing her to drag Asterios around in energetic spins, pirouettes, arches, and everything the two of them could come up with while having lots of fun.
After they were done, it was Selene’s turn next. Resting for just a moment, Asterios waited for a more fitting tune to be played and invited his magnificent vulpine lady for a more refined dance. Selene let him lead fully, following his movements and guidance with grace and style as they traversed the dancefloor slowly and elegantly. Their dance captured the attention of many people with how noble it appeared.
Naturally, Asterios offered a hand to Tina shortly after Selene set him free. She tried to timidly worm her way out of it but accepted in the end. Their dance was somewhere between Miria’s and Selene's. They swayed without much hurry but incorporated a little twirl here and there, beautifully showcasing Tina’s light blue dress. She giggled nervously each time the spins got the material a little too high, pushing it back down with her delicate hand.
As they were enjoying their time together, they found themselves just next to Welrond and Kindra, also partaking in the same piece of music. They noticed each other and kept close, moving to the rhythm by their sides, to the point where the other guests even moved a bit away to make some more space for them.
Waiting for the perfect moment, Asterios and Welrond linked their gazes and let go of the women, suddenly switching partners in the middle of everything. Tina gasped quietly in surprise after finding herself in the king’s hands and Asterios chuckled warmly at her slightly panicked, pleading expression, begging him to quickly take her back. Kindra giggled too and he turned his face to look at his mother as the four of them continued to dance.
“How are you enjoying the evening, and the dance, Mom?” he asked quietly.
“I still know exactly what you are doing.” She smiled at him knowingly. “But, it’s a very nice banquet. Besides the obvious incident, I expected more people to ridicule me for being here while not having noble blood in my veins.”
“Did you hide your family name again?” He smirked. “They wouldn’t even dare to look at you weirdly if you didn’t.”
Kindra snickered adorably. “I did, but I think a certain someone made an effort to spread it amongst all the attendees. The surprised and curious gazes increased even more after the same person invited me for a dance and I just couldn’t have refused someone of such standing.”
“Couldn’t have refused? There’s no negotiation you can’t find yourself a way out of.” They chuckled together. “I think it will be more beneficial to your economic plans to stay close to the king instead of running away from him. There’s a lot to be gained from being in favor of such a figure.”
“I don’t think he will let me escape that easily.” She smirked. “I might be doomed to stay around him for the remainder of the evening and increase our family’s standing even further.”
“Right.” Asterios grinned back at her; he could tell that she wasn’t exactly disapproving of the interaction.
“Now, you should steal your lovely girlfriend back before she passes the point of no forgiveness. Trust me, a lovesick girl can hold a grudge for life.” She giggled slyly.
Asterios shook his head with a wry smile and locked eyes with Welrond once more. They moved closer, awaiting the perfect moment, and switched partners once more shortly before the song started nearing its last bits.
“That was very, very, very rude of you.” Tina pouted with rosy cheeks after he caught her. “I almost stepped all over his toes from all the stress.”
Asterios chuckled softly and put his arms under her hips as they slowed down alongside the end of the music. Carefully lifting Tina up during the last, graceful spin, he raised his face too and joined their lips in a loving kiss as they came to a complete halt, still brushing their mouths together for a few long seconds afterward.
Tina placed her delicate hand on his chest after he finally let her down and smiled gently. “So many people will gossip about the princess’ chosen courting multiple women.”

“Let them gossip as much as they want. It won’t change how much I love each of you,” Asterios replied while grazing her cheek with his thumb.
She smiled even more brilliantly and pushed herself forward to place one more peck on his lips. He lent her his elbow and they walked down from the dancefloor with their arms linked. Miria, Selene, Tina, Bryn, and Silvia applauded their mesmerizing moves and the duo joined them to get something to drink and snack on.
It took about half an hour before Asterios heard a piece perfectly fitting his new demon lover and he quickly dragged Grea away from one of the cliques of men she had been humoring at the moment. Perhaps just a little bit tipsy already, she followed him with a wide grin and glued herself to Asterios the very moment they reached the middle of the hall.
But, that was exactly what he had been aiming for and they began an extremely close and intimate dance to the passionate rhythm. Their chests and hips practically rubbed against each other as their hands explored their partner’s back and all the other planes.
With their faces as close as to almost end up in a kiss, they kept sighing softly and peering deep into each other’s eyes. Grea could barely withhold her moans whenever various parts of Ast’s body rubbed against her quite sensitive spots. That reminded him of her earlier confession about the complete lack of underwear, making this dance so much more tantalizing.
Thankfully, no one seemed to realize anything and they returned to the others just a little bit flushed. Grea had a truly thirsty, wolfish expression on her face, constantly nibbling on her lower lip. She had to cool down a little bit before she could even think about continuing her mission of spreading rumors or the only thing she would be spreading were stains on the marble floor.
Bryn tried to escape her fate just like Tina had, but all the girls convinced her to surrender. After Asterios made sure that she didn't feel forced or pressured to comply, they spent some time swaying their bodies together and smiling at each other. He and many spectators were fascinated by the wide range of enchanting movements of her wings the Valkyrie could weave into the rhythm, showcasing Asterios the art of her people’s official celebrations just like this one. The biggest applause up to that moment greeted them after they were done, bringing an exquisite smile onto Bryn’s soft lips.
And with that, Asterios fulfilled the promise of sharing a dance with everyone he held dear present at the banquet. They spent some more time together just chatting and enjoying the atmosphere, often partaking in some mouth-watering food and delicious alcohol. Though, they tried to limit Grea’s access to the latter before she got too drunk to restrain her quite indecent urges. Ast’s head was constantly bombarded with them, especially whenever their eyes met, which invoked true explosions of lust from the horny demon lady.
Soon enough, Umbra returned from his task, finishing escorting Fievedem and her guards up to the first steps of the royal palace. He had taken a moment to roam the settlement so they could utilize more transfer points. No matter how much the girls pleaded, he said nothing about the architecture and other aspects, locking his memories away from them so that they didn't accidentally spoil themselves before arriving at the Garden of Sinners.
Welrond offered them a ride back to the royal castle and Asterios decided to accept. That would definitely help display their relations even more. And, he certainly wouldn’t mind staying a night at the king’s place, predicting that offer too, considering the fact that his mother was still with them.
Thus, he and the girls fit into one carriage, with some effort put into squeezing together all over him, while Welrond and Kindra took another one. They arrived at the castle without any interruptions, and as he had expected, the king did urge them to stay. After consulting with his mother to check if it was okay with her, they took him up on that offer.
That also meant that he and the girls could enjoy a pleasant night together without worrying about Silvia’s personal maid bothering them yet. They would certainly have to go through that at one point if they wanted to share the bed more often back at home, but this night, they snuggled up to each other comfortably after taking a quick bath and dozed off with warm smiles on their lips.
In the morning, they lazed around in the bed for a few minutes, just cuddling together and exchanging gentle pecks. Then, they dressed up and Silvia led everyone to the royal dining hall. Asterios helped the sentries push the door open and they walked inside to the sight of Welrond in his usual, central spot, and Kindra just next to him, sitting by the king’s right side, both enjoying their meals while chatting quietly with happy expressions.
Asterios almost bumped into Silvia after she suddenly froze for a moment.
“Everything alright?” he asked, taking a peek at her face.
“They look so well together…” she whispered softly. “This scene has just reminded me of the vision from the Demon Continent for a second…”
Asterios quickly understood what she meant and pulled her into a loving hug from behind. She let him tenderly embrace her while also brushing over his arms with her fingers. Kindra noticed their unusual behavior and turned to look at them with the king.
“Did something happen?” She showed a slightly worried, caring expression.
“No, everything is alright. Seeing you alongside Father like that, Miss Kindra, just bears an extremely uncanny resemblance to one of my dreams that involves Mother,” Silvia replied, softly shaking her head.
Kindra let out a sad coo while covering her mouth with her hands. Asterios could see her eyes glint a little in the morning light. She hastily stood up and trotted to them as fast as she could, embracing Silvia in her own, motherly hug from the front, starting to subtly pat her head and run her fingers through the princess’ hair.
“There’s no need to hold it in… I might not be her, but you can freely let me know about anything… I will always listen to you and lend you my shoulder, no matter what I’m doing or where I am…” Kindra spoke softly. “If you would like, you can try calling me Mom… You will feel so much better, I promise… Come on, don’t be shy…”
As Silvia let go of Asterios, he slowly stepped back, trying not to disturb the two as best as he could. She then wrapped her arms around his mother’s back and squeezed it strongly while blinking faster and faster.
“M-Mom…”
“Yes… I’m here… Everything is going to be alright… You can just let go…”
“Mom… I… Mom…”
They remained in a hug for a few moments, both sniffling lightly. A slightly louder and more manly sniffle reached their ears and Silvia raised her face from Kindra’s shoulder to look ahead. A few small tears raced down Welrond’s cheek as his gaze was locked right on them.
“Dad?”
“It’s nothing.” He quickly wiped them off and cleared his throat. “I’m… sorry… for you having to grow up all alone…”
Silvia broke out of Kindra’s hold and ran straight to her father’s small throne, throwing herself into his arms.
“I was never alone… I had you…” she replied with a slightly shaky voice as they hugged each other.
Kindra slowly walked back to her seat and sat down, continuing to caress Silvia’s hair with a motherly smile until the princess regathered herself and stood up. She chose to sit on her father’s left for the time being and Asterios nodded at her warmly when she looked his way. He and the girls sat on the opposite side of the table, unable to disagree that the trio across them looked like a real, happy family.
Everyone shared breakfast while chatting now and then. Miria’s cheerful nature quickly brightened up the mood. It was just impossible not to be affected by her enthusiasm. Her sunny spirit was just way too infectious. Of course, all the other women didn’t fall too far behind.
Soon, they were all full, just enjoying the pleasant talks in a family atmosphere. That was until the chatter gradually died down and Welrond looked with Kindra between Asterios and Silvia. They could already anticipate the upcoming topic.
“So, I don’t think I can delay you guys any longer, as much as I would love to do so,” the king spoke first.
“My Asti just can’t be tied down to one place for long. It’s against his nature.” Kindra giggled with a fond smile.
“I’m fairly sure Miria’s wanderlust is way stronger than mine,” Asterios replied, causing the lively panthergirl to blush adorably.
“They are right, though. We are pretty much ready to join Bryn on the other side,” Silvia chimed in. “I think the only steps left in our plans were to visit Endymion, let Yumi and Camille know the details, inform all our friends about our possibly long journey, and depart.”
“That’s correct. It shouldn’t take us more than an hour, three at most. Bryn is definitely impatiently awaiting our arrival. We’ll be leaving today,” he agreed.
“I can only wish you luck on your search. And please, pass my gratitude on to your companion and her people. Their armor and weapons serve us well,” the king added.
“We shall do so.” Asterios nodded politely. “Also, don’t worry, both of you. We will definitely reach out to you regularly to show that we are all fine and to ease your minds.”
Welrond and Kindra nodded too and everyone exchanged smiles.
Miria stood up enthusiastically. “Shall we go, then?!”
Everyone chuckled at the panthergirl and Asterios scratched her back. “Yes, we shall. It is time to find the Descending Spire.”
