Chapter 1: Prologue

John woke up for college at 5 in the morning as college started at 7 am. It was a Friday, which meant that he could relax and hangout with friends until the cursed day called Monday caught up with him.

John makes a quick breakfast of bread and eggs, eats quickly, takes a bath, brushes his teeth, then gets into his car and drives to school.

John gets to school just in time at 6:53 am. He quickly parks his car, and rushes into the school to get the books he needs from his locker. He then rushes to his class and makes it just in time as the class is about to start. The time gets past 7:05 but his best friend hasn’t arrived but he just brushes it off and guesses she slept in. Half an hour passes and his best friend still hasn't arrived. John was about to ask his friends why she hadn’t arrived when suddenly he hears a high pitched sound, it quickly rises in volume until it becomes unbearable then he passes out.

When John wakes up he has a headache, his entire body hurts and it takes him a moment to remember what happened. John is confused but grateful the high pitched sound has stopped. He looks around himself and realizes he wasn't in the school. He was in a forest. There was a perfectly round shallow crater around and the trees were tightly packed together. Suddenly he sees a floating blue box in front of him with white text. He freaks out and tries to hit it away but his hand just passes through it, he closes his eyes and the box is still there. John calms himself down and reads the text.

“What th-“ John started. But clenched his teeth in pain. It felt as if his entire body was being destroyed then remade in the hottest of fires. He wanted to scream but he couldn’t, he wanted the pain to stop but it wouldn’t, then after what felt like hours but in reality was maybe only 5 minutes the pain stopped.

Deception watched the human with no little amusement as the Earth human called John Wilson integrated into this new world. Deception summoned him and 1 other as they all integrated into this new world. He used almost all his power to slightly change the system for the two so they have all they need to survive, as Deception needed both to reach tier 5 then transcend to tier 6, the last tier before he kills them and steals their essence as it was the only thing that could save him.

Maria Perez went through the painful process of integrating into the system. She arrived at an island in this world, which she painfully found out was infested with venomous animals.

John woke up covered in sweat as he felt something was off. Before he even opens his eyes, he hears growling from multiple different wolves. If John was to estimate he’d say 4 wolves. John stays calm so he won't alert the wolves he’s awake and starts forming up a plan in his mind. He can try to run but the wolves will be faster. He can try to fight but he’s outnumbered. John was still thinking when he was thrown out of his thoughts by intense pain in his left leg. He looks at his leg to see his blood spilling and a larger-than-normal wolf biting down on his leg. He panics and hits the wolf that bit him with all the strength he could muster and in the process of doing so he feels an instinctual knowledge of how to use one of his born powers so he uses [Elemental], which changed his entire body to magical rock and added more blunt damage to his hit. As the wolf’s teeth were stuck in John’s leg, it couldn’t get away quick enough as John’s hand came crashing down on it. The wolf’s skull cracked and was clearly damaged as blood started to flow but wasn't dead yet, so John hit it in the same spot a second time which seemed to be enough as the wolf’s skull caved in and it died.

As John was still in a panic, he wondered how to select when he suddenly got information on how to, then he mentally selected “Yes” and was pleasantly surprised as the wolf disappeared into mist and was absorbed by him.

John quickly reads the alert then closes it as there are 3 other wolves. He wonders how he can get the healing potions from his inventory when suddenly the information on how to get it enters his brain. He takes out 1 healing potion and quickly drinks it then stares in amazement as his body repairs itself, only to have 3 wolves pounce on him. He quickly uses his born power called [Hypermobility] to dodge the wolves then uses [Elemental] to turn into a being of lightning, which he uses to finish off the other wolves.

 

*KILL ALERT* You have killed 3 level 3 [Wolf]! Gained 1806 Experience Do you wish to loot 3 [Wolf]? [Yes/No]

 

John mentally selected Yes and watched in amazement as the 3 wolves turned into mist and he absorbed them.

John was relieved those were the last of the wolves as he sat on the grass to rest. John thinks about what happened earlier today and starts to panic. “HaHaHaHaHaHa...” John laughs maniacally, "Lesser Divine Human! What a joke. Some imagination I have." John says to himself. He wonders when he’ll wake up from this weird dream and promises himself to play way less games. He thinks he is in a coma from that weird piercing sound he heard earlier but doesn’t fully believe himself as this is way too much for him to imagine. He decides to play along as he has nothing else to do and wonders how to check his stat sheet. The moment he does that, he feels the knowledge of how to check his stat sheet enter his mind. Before John checks, he notices whenever he wants to know how to use an ability relating to him, he gains knowledge.

John quickly activates [Hypermobility] and heads west as that’s where the sun is setting. John sees many new plants that don’t exist on Earth and wonders about their names if they aren’t already named and is pleasantly surprised when he receives a new alert.

John is shaken out of his thoughts as he gets another alert and he hears more growling. Way more growling.
