Chapter 3: I don’t want to be weak 1.3

The day had been good, almost too good.

After writing the contract with fake information and asking Mr.Tukson to pay with cash or in this case with Lien. I had slowly made myself get accustomed to the job and new body...

While organizing the used books Tukson had gotten, who knows where. I would sometimes grip them accidentally too weakly, making the book drop.

While trying to move a new books from back to the front bookcases. I would pick a box of them... walk two steps... and fall to ground. This body is too weak!

Fortunately Tukson thought I was someone who had never needed to do such manual work before. Tukson was forgiving and sympathetic.

The hours went by in a flash and at afternoon, about 4 p.m Tukson walked to me.

"See, I told you would pick it up soon. It's all about remembering what books go where." Tukson flashed me a smile seeing the rows of books neatly organized in front of me.

"Yes Mr. Tukson." I smiled too feeling somewhat good after doing good job.

"So how is the hotel you are currently at? Any problems?"

The corner of my mouth started to twitch. What hotel? I'm penniless and homeless. Not to mention I have to go soon to relieve myself and I don't know how!

"Well... I was kicked out there too... and I'm kinda lien less right now... to be honest."

"..."

"haaah..." Tukson sighed with helpless look before taking out his wallet and giving me six blue plastic cards with Ⱡ drawn on them.

"Here, considered this early paycheck. You will get the rest after two weeks?" I carefully took the cards from Tukson while offering him a generous smile.

"Thank you." I bowed little before putting the cards to my pocket.

"You are free to go now. I will open tomorrow at eight o'clock." Tukson started walking towards the back while lifting his arm.

"Yes, See you tomorrow! Bye bye!"

Now to the jungle!

I walked outside seeing the sun still being high up and a handful of people too... Time to ignore them.

Where should I go to find an hotel. I started walking, seeing a noodle shop, some kind of bar... And a hotel... Wait! That was it!

It looked quite similar to the residential area multilayer houses, but was all white and named Vale Hotel in large blue letters. Talk about lack of imagination...

I walked trough the lounge to reception. Seeing a young woman with brown hair and blue eyes in neat business dress writing something down.

"Excuse me?"  The woman looked up at me and flashed a smile.

"Yes, How can I help you Miss."

"Do you still have free rooms for one person." The woman looked at a monitor beside her.

"Yes we still have one bed rooms and two beds rooms. How long do you wish to stay?" The woman looked at me while keeping her polite smile.

"I would like a room for a week. How much is it?" I hope its under 10 000 Lien.

"Certainly. A room with one bed is 2000 Lien for a night and 500 Lien more with breakfast included." So about 14 000 Lien for a week...

"I will take it for a week, without breakfast." The woman started pressing buttons to the monitor.

"Certainly, What name would you like to use Miss?"

"Primrose, here is the payment." I took four blue Lien cards to the woman who looked them over.

"Here you go." The woman soon gave me back twenty white Lien cards and a key card to a room number 23.

"Thank you, I will come back later."  I waved at the receptionist and walked away.

"Have a good day." I heard the voice of the woman as I stepped once again outside much poorer now.

Only 10 000 Lien to live for two weeks... I need to think someway to make some more Lien.

Seven Celestial steps...

I'm too curious. I looked around trying to find quiet place.

Wait? Wasn't some part of the city shut off near mountain glenn? I could go train secretly there... Yes it's a perfect plan, as expected of me.

I looked at my scroll. 5:25 p.m.

As I got nearer to the fence separating two parts of the city, less people I saw. The houses started to turn more unkept and trash lay uncollected on the side streets.

...

Maybe this was not that great of an idea.

I swept the long pink strands of hair flying to my eyes. Maybe I should get something to make my hair into a ponytail when I'm training later?

Soon I was near the fence. Now I just have to get to the other side. I looked around seeing a trash can I could use to climp on a window edge to jump.

I can see the path!

*Thud!*

...

I felt the back of my hoodie feeling a hole in there with my fingers.

Okay, after this lets go buy some more clothes!

Now where to go. After walking little while I spotted a good place.

Very nice alley with dead end and not too much trash. Here is good enough place.

Lets see. I closed my eyes to recall the skill.

The first part of Celestial Seven Step skill is simply practicing the movements of the skill to perfection.

I walked to the dead end before slowly turning around starting the Celestial steps...

It wasn't as easy as I thought. Not even ten minutes later my whole body was screaming from fatigue and pain.

I hate this already.

I was not even moving that fast.

I stopped thinking as a multiple pair of steps started to get louder from the mouth of alley.

"Well, well, well what a pretty thing we have here. Hehehe..." A blonde haired man with dirty green jacket smirked while slowly approaching with one other man.

"Hey bro I call dips on her!" Another shady looking brown haired dog faunus with dog ears on top his head laughed while walking towards me.

"Can I help you?" They seem like trouble.

"Hehehe, Yes I'm sure you we will help each other a lot soon." The blonde guy kept grinning while walking straight at me.

Are this guys trying to take advantage of me? I turned around only to realize this was an dead end... Great!

"Where are you going girl? It's just us here... and no way out." The blonde man started to get close while the faunus man grinned couple steps behind.

I need to think something fast... Lets go with surprise route.

Suddenly I started to smile, as if I was really, really happy to see them.

"This is perfect! You're just what I was looking for." The two guys stopped, clearly confused by the sudden change in my attitude.

I started walking towards them with happy smile on my face, slowly like I had all the time in the world.

The blonde stopped smirking and smiled instead. "Oh, so you were actually looking for gentlemen in need and here we are."

I continued smiling happily while nodding at them.

"But before that I need little help." I winked at the two man while pointing at a sewer behind me.

"Oh, what is troubling your pretty little head." The two man had dropped their guard at this point and walked towards the sewer I was pointing at while I made troubled face.

"You see I dropped my family heirloom there and can't get it out. If you two strong man could help me look for it I would be really, really grateful." I ended the sentence with the sweetest voice I could muster.

"I don't know." The faunus man looked at the blonde man with eyes narrowed.

"A look is enough, if you could see if it is down there. I just have to give up if it has been washed away." I dropped my gaze to floor while making sad smile.

"Well, taking a look can't hurt right Bruno?" The faunus man looked at the blonde deep in though.

"All right, but we want the full course. All right?"

I nodded smiling, not even wanting to think what he meant.

"Help me to lift this shit Bear." I took a step back looking as the two man lifted the sewer cover. To reveal a maintenance ladder down.

I had spotted it earlier by chance.

"It's so dark down there." The blonde man started to get hesitant looking at the abyss below.

"I can show light from up here." The faunus man seemed to recall having flashlight luckily.

"There seems to be nothing down there?" The blonde man narrowed his eyes seeing nothing with light on the ground twelve feet down.

"It's a silver earring I accidentally dropped. Please, I'm sure it's down there." I held my hands on my chest while giving sad look to the two man.

"Haah... but only a look okay?" I nodded happily at the blonde man starting to climb down.

"Hey, show some more light here Bear!" The faunus went on his knees to give better light for the man below.

Now is my chance!

I gave a hard kick to the faunus ass.

"Au! What?!" As the faunus started to fall,  but got hold on the edge. The blonde man yelled. "What happened!"

"This... is... Vale!" I gave one hard kick more at the faunus while yelling making him drop to the sewers.

"AAaaaaa!" "HEY!" *Thump!*

Now I'm gone.

I started to run hearing lot of cursing and yelling from behind me.

As I ran to the hotel safely I had new objective in mind.

... I don't want to think what could have happened if something went wrong.

I was woman now... I was not in my old world... and most of all. I have no strength to save myself when shit goes down.

What if I meet a grimm.

Death.

Violation.

Slavery.

Humiliation.

I don't want that...

I need to get strong... by any means.
