Chapter 33: Tehe… 1.33

"It's starting get pretty dark..." I muttered while walking behind the panting girl with white hair.

"S-should we look for another cave?" Weiss spoke in barely a whisper making me step closer to her.

"Cave? well we could look for one." At least we could save some aura from the wind.... ooo.

I grinned while looking at the heiress walking before me. It was hard to see because of the darkness, but her ears seemed little darker than usual.

Naughty Weiss...

We were already traveling between two mountains, planning to go across from the easiest spot to pass.

Now is there any good place to take cover.

We had fought couple of smaller grimm while climbing this mountain route and I was starting to get confident enough to beat beowolf or two if I was alone.

Hopefully we find an unoccupied and not grimm infested cave...

"Weiss... do you hear something?" I heard a small familiar sound from somewhere behind us. Little like 'humm' that got louder steadily.

"It's a bullhead! We can finally be saved!" Weiss exclaimed seeing something I didn't.

After turning I could see something black slowly nearing us in the sky. It's a bullhead! Finally I can get my scroll back! No more wilderness! No more... wait a second.

"Weiss..." This bullhead...

"We're going to finally get away from here. I have to repay you for all the trouble I have caused Prim... I." Weiss was talking with excitement.

"Weiss doesn't that bullhead look familiar...?" The black bullhead was slowly getting closer showing that part of it was damaged... like from fire... or explosion?!

The approaching bullhead opened two spotlights towards us and changed their direction directly towards us.

"Weiss those are the guys who made us drop here!" I took the dreaming girls hand and started to drag her towards the hill leading down from the natural mountain road we were on.

"Why is it them!" Weiss yelled after noticing herself how familiar the bullhead looked. Also it was not the regular bullhead of the military or SDC.

*Pum!* A shower of snow from about 30 feet in front of us. Was that a warning shot.

"Lets just run! They should be not allowed to hurt us, if what they said previously is true!" I yelled and used celestial step to step past a big piece of ice. The ground was getting more rough.

Big pieces of ice and holes filled the ground we were running with Weiss. The darkness didn't help as we navigated our way down in great speed.

"There is no way we can outrun them Prim! We need to decide what we do!" Weiss yelled back to me while skillfully moving on top of pieces of ice. Leaping from bigger pieces of ice to another.

I looked at left and right for any advantage we could get we were far too open right now. While jumping over another hole on ground I saw some kind of large crack on the ice leading inside the mountain. It seemed to go deep down towards somewhere.

There must be many caves inside there? I hope so...

"Weiss there is a crack leading towards inside the mountain!" I yelled while navigating slowly towards it.

"I see it! Do you want to attack them there?" Weiss navigated towards the crack on the mountain.

*Pam!* *Pam! *Pam!*

"Cease your escape! You have no chance to run!" A loud sound came from the direction of the bullhead accompanied by couple more warning shots.

As I was about to yell back a deep *Whumph!* sound came from somewhere above us.

Shit... I cast a look towards the mountain behind us seeing a white wave approaching us with an alarming speed.

"Weiss hold tight!" I used celestial step to reach Weiss before lifting her into a princess carry... eep... so heavy.

"What?!" Weiss exclaimed, feeling her feet's leaving the ground. She didn't fight back, seeing it was me.

Okay there was quite the distance to go and avalanche behind... great.

I started using the second step of the celestial steps to dash forward...

I heard the avalanche approaching despite our increased speed... I need to go faster.

I felt my feet sinking due to the additional weight of Weiss... I need to be lighter.

I adjusted my steps each time I touched the ground feeling them sink less and less into the snow.

No this is wrong... I didn't stop running, but it felt like time stopped or rather slowed down for a moment.

I felt the snow under my feet... I felt my own weight and Weiss weight, slowly pushing us down towards the ground.

I see...

As my feet neared the ground I felt something breaking... The snow didn't feel soft under my feet anymore... It was like iron under my feet. I pushed towards the ground with much greater intensity than before... The snow didn't sink and I was going faster... much faster.

"Wha!" Weiss yelped as we shot forward our earlier speed like a lie.

The crack leading inside the mountain appeared almost instantly in front of us.

I slowed down... and felt Weiss leaving my arms due to inertia... ups.

I didn't let go, which send us both rolling forward through a tunnel inside the crack.

*Whooomm... Booom...!* Snow covered the entrance we came from, leaving me within absolute darkness with Weiss.

Good thing I have my FLINT and STICKS, no stones though and my ALCOHOL to make fire.

"Oww..." The sound of Weiss was heard from under me.

"You okay?" I tried to feel where the girl was below me cupping something soft inside my palm instead... ups... tehe?

"...Prim" As the cold voice of the girl came out I silently let go.

"You hurt anywhere?" I asked again while sitting little away from Weiss.

"I'm fine... how about you?" Weiss sounded tired.

"I'm ooookay." I showed thumb up while knowing Weiss couldn't see it.

"They are probably going to try to dig us out soon, so we better try to prepare..." I nodded hearing Weiss. Where is my flint... Not finding the other flint from my jacket pocket. I started feeling the ground from where we came from soon feeling the sharp familiar rock, Lucky.

With couple of hits and sparks, a fire started over the stick I had dipped in alcohol.

"This will not last long so let's see if there is another exit here." I gave the flaming stick to Weiss who was combing her hair.

The stick didn't give much light, but it was better than nothing. I had three other sticks.  I was keeping them inside my jacket as reserve.

"Shall we?" Weiss looked at me after getting up and brushing her dress.

I nodded while smiling.

Outside the cave, unknown to Prim and Weiss.

"F*ck! You godamn morans... Why did you have to shoot!" I know I didn't stop this idiots, but why are we so unlucky... The gig was already in the bag. Nothing is going as planned.

"Boss lady, I think they are safe." I turned my eyes to the big hairy man Purcell... His odd hobbies aside he was competent.

I lifted my eye brows while looking at the man.

"There was a crack or something on the ground. So it's highly likely that they are still safe." I see... I didn't pay attention to the man looking at the even snow where the two girls in black jackets were last seen.

"Start digging..." I watched the man and woman walking back to bullhead soon coming out with a big mecha suit... an Atlesian Paladin-290.
