Chapter 61: Weapon making abc 1.61

"So you are Primrose" Green haired girl spoke with a orange oversized jacket and hood on. Her eyes were orange like pumpkin. She also had black jeans and green metal boots... And the best part was... she was shorter than me?!

Not that I really mind... not really. Just happened to notice, honest.

The girl in question was looking at me up and down with judging eye.

"Aye, I see now why she is so crazy about you.. *slap* Au!" The green haired girl gave a teary look at Coco who looked away smirking.

While rubbing her butt the girl offered her other hand.

"Fern Zucca at your service, I'm currently huntress in training, second year of Beacon,  team FALU. I like weapons." Fern gave me a funny look... or rather she was funny.

I took her hand and shook it.

"My name is Primrose as you said. It's nice to meet you?" I guess? "Coco told me you could help me in making my weapon?"

"Aye! That I do. Follow me." I watched as the small girl in long orange jacket walked towards the shop in front of us.

The building with two crossed weapons over the door. A rifle and sword. 'Glint and Steel Weapons' A sign made of copper and some other dark metal.

"She always like this?" I gave a look at Coco.

"She is reliable, lets go Prim. I wanna see what kind of weapon you had in mind."

I nodded at Coco and followed her inside the store. The big green door opened smoothly showing a well lit shop with various weapons on display.

Whoa...

The collection of guns and sharp blades made suddenly a little exited. There were also some ready made Mecha shift weapons.

They also had prices with varying costs.

The cheapest knife was only 8,000 Lien...

Okay everything is fricking expensive!

I saw a mecha shift weapon hanging on wall with a shape of an high caliper sniper rifle.

It had an small note above the price. 'Zatantie Sniper- grenade launcher (.50/1.57) mecha shift.'

And the price is 1,340,000 Lien... sweet.

Should I go home to save some more money after all...

Coco must have seen my expression as she patted me on shoulder.

"Don't worry. It's a lot cheaper to make it yourself. You can that way decide the materials yourself and what ready made parts you need." Coco didn't seem worried so I decided to worry about the cost later.

"Here come to the back. My pops said we could do as we wish." Fern spoke from open door at the back of the store.

The room we were at was organized. Various different metal ignots and plates. Theywere all neatly stacked and labelled, each on their own place.

There was also ready made parts, different sizes screws, cogwheels and sprigs.

It was storage room.

We didn't stay on the room, but went to the next room which had a drawing table and various books and monitors.

"Designing room?" At my question Fern nodded.

"Aye, Though it would be best to make your weapon idea come to life first, black and white. It's easier to plan how it works and then budget based on that. Saves a lot of trouble." Fern spoke.

I didn't comment how the drawing paper was actually blue and the pen white... That would be tasteless.

"So... I was thinking about spear that turns into a battle axe. Also it could be good that it had some dust capabilities?"

"Halberd huh... What kind of dust capabilities you had in mind?" Fern spoke while Coco looked between us interested.

"Halberd?" I turned towards the green haired little girl.

Fern walked towards the sketching papers and draw a spear then added a blade of an axe to it.

"It's something like this."

I looked at the sketch... It looks good, but it's not really what I had in mind.

"You could make the battle axe part detachable? Then you could make it detachable shield and spear, that you can combine to be halberd?" Coco spoke suddenly while looking at different sketches of weapons on side table.

Hmm... shield and spear...

It doesn't sound that bad.

"It sounds good. What if there was small spear at the bottom of the staff too and inside the staff was hidden dust capsule for dust attacks?" At my question Fern seemed to fall in thoughts.

"But what about ranged attacks? It's really inconvenient to have only melee weapons in case of aerial enemies, such as nevermore." Fern spoke while tilting her head towards a sketch of a gun mechanism on a wall.

"Then... how about making a small grenade launcher inside the shaft? It could be loaded from the middle of the staff or something?" I don't really care about the rest as long as it has spear and axe to use...

I suddenly saw myself kneeling in floor fighting nevermore while yelling. 'I should have not saved lien and loaded dust rounds!'

I just have to be careful in the future yes.

"Lets start making sketch for it! He he he... I shall teach you young one." Fern entered some strange mood by herself...

"Sure..." I muttered while walking to the drawing table.
