Part 0
11 year old Okazaki Ryutaro stood tiredly at the exit of his elementary school underneath a cloudy dusk. Playful sounds and elated conversations of other students his age could be heard all around him.
He heard quick footsteps, and the sound of a girl's panting breath getting close to him. Ryutaro turned to meet this girl, but she dashed by him with a huge smile on his face.
"Kazu, let's go home together?"
"Sure."
What was he expecting, and why was his heart beating as if this random classmate whom he has never talked to suddenly run to him? This wishful thinking's getting a little too unrealistic now.
With a sigh, Ryutaro continued on his way towards the exit; seeing most of his juniors along the way, being grouped together by the teachers near the school gates, waiting for their parents to pick them up.
As he walked towards the school gate, a parent stepped in.
"Mama!!"
Ryutaro flinched, but as if to revolt against the feeling of a rapidly beating heart that felt as if it was being pushed down by hundreds of weights within him, he took several deep breaths in and clenched his fists as if a fight was about to start.
Even as the surgical mask that covered the lower of his face to hid his trembling lips, his drooping watery eyes spoke for itself.
Ryutaro then pulled out a cap from his bag and wore it, leaving the school premises with eyes mostly gazed down at the ground, up every now and then to see where he was going.
And soon, he found himself trudging along the streets back home. His shoulders drooped and his legs felt like noodles that were being dragged across the concrete floor. As he walked home, he noticed many other students from junior and senior high schools, walking him with their friends and lovers.
Off to his left, a clique of gyaru girls passed by talking about some new fashion trend; across the street where two high school students holding hands and living their life in their own personal slice of life manga.
Ryutaro sighed again.
*BOOM*
Suddenly, the sound of a booming thunderclap could be heard and before he knew it, the rapid pitter patters of rain could be heard, then a heavy shower suddenly took over the area.
Soaked from head to toe, he quickly made a run for it, to the point that his socks and the insides of his shoes became all soggy and wet. Before he knew it, he found himself taking shelter within a nearby library, his blazer and clothes being utterly soaked.
"There had to be a thunderstorm now of all times?" Ryutaro said as he looked up at the dark clouds that loomed overhead.
He looked back and noticed that the library was still open. 'May as well do my homework while I'm here.' He thought to himself, from which he walked into the library, noticing the librarian first, and she noticed him as well.
A smile made its way onto her face as if understanding what Ryutaro wanted to say even if he never spoke out loud. "It's okay, I won't be closing until the thunderstorm dies down. Stay as much as you need to." She said to which Ryutaro silently bowed, before walking into the library to do his homework.
Good, she doesn't recognize him with his mask and cap. He does look a little suspicious, but he's an 11 year old, who's going to suspect someone like him?
He walked all the way to table that's furthest from the entrance and the librarian. It is then that after he placed his bag down that he looked around himself.
He looked at the other aisles to see if there was anyone finding books. Nothing.
He peeked at the other tables to see if there was anyone reading. Nothing.
Turn as he might, there was no one in the library but him and the librarian. Thankfully so, it was getting stuffy within the mask. At this, Ryutaro gave out a sigh in relief as he then took off his soaking cap as well as his soggy mask, wiping the sweat that has accumulated on his face with a wet wipe. From which he then began doing his homework.
And he continued to do so, as the storm raged on outside. The pitter patter had intensified significantly to that of a blinding rain, flashes of lighting lit the sky followed by a loud bang from the thunder, and the wind blew so hard that it threatened to tear away branches from their trees.
And it continued to do so even as he had finished all the homework he had been given, and had packed everything up. He looked up at the clock, noticing that it was really late, and yet the storm had yet to pass.
However, Ryutaro was not really that sad. It's not like he was in a hurry to go home, since there's no one waiting for him there anyway. If there was anyone waiting, they'd probably would've picked him up by now, but... well, for sure that the only other person he knows won't bother anyway.
"Well, I guess I could always read something." He said when he started to look for a book to read, when suddenly...
"Young man?" He then heard the only person in the library speak out.
" ! " Surprised, Ryutaro quickly too his mask from his pocket and wore it, and he turned back, looking at the librarian who was holding a stack of books. "I found some books for you to read while we wait for the storm to end."
Silently, Ryutaro bowed.
"Speaking of which, are your parents going to pick you up soon?" She asked.
Ryutaro knew it was a lie, but he still nodded a yes, silently making sure that not even an inch of his voice is heard.
"Hmm. You're quite the silent kid, aren't you?" She then said, as if trying to start a conversation. Ryutaro quickly placed a hand on his neck where his throat would be and made a sound as if he had a sore throat.
"I see. Do you want some water?"
Ryutaro shook his head a no, and simply took the books from her arms with a bow; then went back to his table to read some them. He slightly twisted his head back just to make sure that the librarian had returned to his desk, as soon as he confirmed that she was back to the counter he sighed and took off his drying mask.
He can't have anyone see his face, or even hear his voice. It would be too troublesome.
He looked through the stack and noticed how all of them were just boring kids' books that he had already read from the school library. As such, he then looked through the aisle to find another book, until eventually, there was one that stood out to him, particularly because of the name.
This book was — That time my Soul reincarnated into another World, so I'll start building up the Harem of my dreams.
'Isn't this too long for a story title?' Ryutaro thought as he took the book, and saw the front cover. One guy and multiple girls. 'Wow, the girls are pretty sexy here, almost naked actually.' He thought as he then looked around then placed the rather lewd-looking book within his blazer just in case the librarian was nearby.
He then took off his mask to read, feeling a little stuffy. 'I've got to get a thinner mask next time. This one's too thick.' He thought to himself.
.
.
.
The time was around 2300 and the storm had yet to pass away. At this point, a lot of people opted to stay and sleep within their offices due to the long heavy storm that continued to drag out, even the librarian had decided that she would sleep within the library that night since it was so late. In fact, she was already lying down on a nearby couch whilst using her jacket as a blanket.
Meanwhile, Ryutaro was... crying?
*SNIFF*
Tender tears dribbled down Ryutaro's cheeks as he kept turning the pages. He felt something in his heart as he turned page after page, and he knew what it was almost immediately, this was envy.
'Haruhiko's so cool. What the hell? He's such an average guy, and yet somehow he gets pretty girls being thrown at him left and right. He gets friends almost all too easily, even the villains seem to flock to him. Plus, he's got nice parents too.' Ryutaro thought as he continued reading with a rapidly beating heart.
Badump. Badump.
Before he knew it his mind was engrossed in what he was reading, his mind could vividly imagine the scenery's of fantasy, the boobs that fall into his face from perverted accidents, the game-like systems that he only saw online when he watched a few youtubers playing MMORPG games.
*BOOM*
Clap goes the thunder, but at the same time, a fire had lit within Ryutaro's heart. His face felt warm, fantasies of himself in the position of the main isekai protagonist character infiltrated his mind.
...
"Let's go!! Hyper Blaster!!" An older, more romanticized version of Ryutaro delivered a powerful blast at the demon lord.
"I will not die here!!" The demon lord fired a blast of destructive power. "MEGALO-GENOCIDE!!" The blast magnifies in size, blindsiding the romanticized Ryutaro.
"Wha...!?"
"LORD RYUTARO!!" A muscular amazon redhead with tan skin blocks it with her shield, from which multiple girls appear before Ryutaro.
"YOU DARE HARM LORD RYUTARO!! GET HIM GIRLS!!"
All the girls charge in after the demon lord.
...
"Oh my~ Your quite the man down there~" Said a blonde haired lady who touched a smiling Ryutaro.
"Brunhild, you're being rude to me lord!! You have to kiss his feet before you even touch him!" Then a muscular girl came by with a strong fierce aura
"That's the rule you only applied to yourself Joan~ I'll do whatever I want with him~"
The two argued, then multiple girls enter the bedroom.
"No fair! Let me in on this too~"
"Lord Ryutaro!!"
"Lord Ryutaro!!"
"Ladies~ There's plenty of me for everyone." He said, as multiple clones of him suddenly appeared, each of them going after one out of the many ladies.
...
A twisted face of lewdness, the droopy eyes had suddenly gained some life and his cheeks was painted in a dull red as spit dribbled down his lips to his chin. "Ah~ah~" He muttered out. Truly what a life it would be like, to be surrounded like that. Not just that, those isekai cheats, wouldn't all of his troubles be miles away if he had them?
"You..."
A familiar voice of the librarian is heard, and immediately, the images and fantasies ceased. He turned and there he saw her, looking as if she'd stumble just by looking at him. "Okazaki... Ryutaro..."
Immediately, he touched his face and realized that he didn't have his mask on. At that moment, his gaze dropped.
Well, it was inevitable. He was so lost in his mind that he forgot that he wasn't at home.
"Get out..."
And of course, that was also inevitable. As an 11 year old with a mask and a cap, who's going to suspect him? No one. As Okazaki Ryutaro, who's going to suspect him? Well, everyone.
"Thanks for letting me stay." He then.
He wore his mask and cap again, then grabbed his bag and ran out the library even as the rain heavily poured down on him.
...
The rattling keys unlocked the door to a completely soaked Ryutaro's apartment, and as soon as he entered. "I'm home." He said, but as soon as he placed his soaked shoes back on the shoe rack and wiped himself down a little bit, he entered the living room to be greeted with the usual silence.
Walking into the living room, he saw the usual note on the table.
—I'll be at your auntie Haruna's place again. Dinner is inside the fridge, just heat them up.
Ryutaro's eyes narrowed, and he felt his chest tighten but then again... what was new? His uncle had always been a distant man in the past three years, even more so now that he's learnt to do many things in the house on his own, and simply leaves him to do.
With a sigh, he crushed the note and tossed it in a special trash that he made specifically for the amount of notes that his uncle had made this entire month. That special trash was half-full.
As Ryutaro reached his room and closed the door, he threw his bag to the ground, jumped onto his bed and quickly searched on his phone – That time my Soul reincarnated into another World, so I'll start building up the Harem of my dreams.
He looked at the Wikipedia page and saw its genre. "Isekai?"
With the word as reference, Ryutaro searched online for as many stories as he could within the genre. Needless to say, that night was a sleepless one; and from that moment forward, the world of Isekai and fantasy had completely ensnared his heart.
...
Exhibit A: 12 years old Okazaki Ryutaro was acting out a fantasy as if he was an isekai protagonist.
Within his own room, Ryutaro was fighting an imaginary bad guy that he thought up whilst drawing characters for an imaginary isekai world.
"Oryaa!!! Big Bang Smash!!" Ryutaro silently screamed as he leapt from his futon to punch the pillow that he roughly stuck to the wall using lots of duct tape. But of course, not being a professional fighter, his arm somehow missed.
*THUMP*
His slender hand somehow struck the wall instead, and he quickly felt the recoil on his body plus the pain that took over his knuckles. Tears welled at the edge of his eyes, but he held it back with a massive smile on his face. "I'm good. Isekai Protagonists can take anything head on."
Exhibit B: 14 years old Okazaki Ryutaro was writing his own isekai fantasy story.
It has only been 2 minutes since Ryutaro had just finished his school assignments, and yet, there he sat in front of his computer, typing away at his imaginary isekai story at his computer. "Sir Albert?." He muttered out, imitating the line of the princess character (a harem member), he was writing.
"The clouds have parted, soon... the vessels of the stars will descend down upon this forsaken land." He then imitated the voice of his main character.
"Yeah, I like that." He then said to himself, from which his fingers that had gotten used to the keyboard began excitedly typing away quickly and precisely; a grin on his mouth as he imagined himself as his main character as he continued typing.
Exhibit C: 16 years old Okazaki Ryutaro's life goals were inspired by the Isekai Protagonist Concept.
Isekai Protagonists are always overpowered, they can counter anything and they could do everything. Now, Ryutaro may not be a man given a cheat, so there's no way he could be good at everything, and there's no way he could learn skills that could shoot fire from his hands or defeat others with one punch.
However he can learn realistic and complimentary skills, and when he wasn't writing his isekai stories. Ryutaro worked on improving his skill repertoire.
He would go on the internet (the information archives of the real world) to pick up cooking skills and learn nutrition, and exercise his body with discipline and consistency so that he could obtain a body worthy to be called an Isekai Protagonist.
At school, he would ask for raise his hands, eagerly answering the next question. Then, during break times, he would do extra quizzes that he printed out at home, or read books pertaining to different set of skills that he could apply to himself and become an overpowered human himself.
After all, Isekai Protagonists are in some way shape or form, Ultimate Lifeforms of their Universe. As such, they are extremely smart and strong, with cheat-like powers. Like that reincarnated slime that has the answers to and could absorb everything, or that slow life merchant 30 year old isekai protagonist within a 17 year old body could learn skills and magic on the fly, or that smartphone user who could use all magic and has divine blood, or that demon lord that has all of his powerful game character stats.
Some may not be of the Ultimate type, but... but... they are such great inspirations. To be that strong, to have all those skills, to have an easy and slow life, Ryutaro wanted that. However, reality is reality, fiction is fiction. In the real world, hard work and smart work is needed, Ryutaro will work to become a person worthy of holding the title of Isekai Protagonist, even if he won't ever become one (though he does wish he could become one).
And so, even as the days flew by and the endless daily routine continued, he had everything sorted out.

*BANG*

But of course, Ryutaro's life would take a turn for the worst in a way that he probably expected, but didn't imagine it would happen so soon. On December 24th, 2018. 18 years old, Okazaki Ryutaro died under a similar heavy storm where he discovered his passion.
...
January 15th, 2019. Okazaki Ryutaro's funeral was attended by only three people.
Standing before his would-be grave, Ryutaro's uncle and auntie watch as the aforementioned 18 year old's coffin was slowly lifted down to the ground. The two cried rivers, and his uncle clenched his fists in anger as his lips trembled, and his fiancé, Ryutaro's would-be auntie, cried with him.
Besides them however, there was one other. A balding man in a black suit that stood far off from the couple with a saddened expression on his face. Then, there were those who were passing by just to see their own families, only to spot the grave of Ryutaro.
"Did Okazaki's kid die already? Good riddance." The lady said.
At that, Ryutaro's uncle felt heat rose to his face as he went to confront the one who had said that, as he tried to be held back by his fiancé as well as the man in black who tried to stand as far away as possible.
Part 1
On a remote beach far away from any kingdom, a massive luxurious sea vessel reminiscent of a cruise ship was decked. A man on the beach sat underneath an umbrella, overlooking as his men warped in through rippled space from a custom warp point, carrying several boxes and cages.
From magical cages filled with a strange creatures like a yellow and black-furred wolf with electricity for tails or a green colored bird that created tiny tornadoes with flaps of its wings; to even boxes of enchanted bladed weaponry that cackled with magical energy.
The man underneath the dull primary colored umbrella and sitting atop a glimmering neon green magic circle powered by his own mana, winced in pain due to the surgery being done to his stomach. "Ah!! Easy there Gil!" The man muttered loudly to himself.
His bulging belly was surgically cut wide open, revealing the intestines, stomach and all; and operating on them were the multiple floating magical hands hovering above him with a variety of mana-created tools specifically for surgery. The green glow of the magic circle constantly sterilizing everything within it so as to not infect the open surgical cuts.
In a few minutes or so, his open stomach was magically sewed shut with all that remained was a scar where the surgical cut once was.
The process of healing has been completed and the pain that took over his entire body has ceased; he gave a breath of relief as the magic circle below him had disappeared completely.
Standing up, he then buttoned his shirt, fixed his bowtie, and wore his long blue coat. Overall, he looked as if he were about to attend a kind of formal party, then as he watched all the merchandise be brought into the massive cruise ship before him he saw two of his men, also in formal wear holding a tied up bespectacled girl.
She struggled, trying as hard as she could to
"We finally got her now Captain Gilbert."
"Good work me lads!!" The now named Gilbert boisterously said as he looked and approached the young girl who had caused him a lot of trouble in the past few hours. She was the one who gave him such injuries that he needed to heal himself, since she was a mage. However, she too suffered some injuries as could be seen from the purple to black bruises, cuts, and tears on her clothing.
Seeing this, Gilbert grinned, knowing that she didn't have time to use her magic whatsoever. "What about those tools I lend yah? They worked well?"
"Absolutely!!"
"Good."
Gilbert then looked on at the young bespectacled girl, cupping her cheek to look at her face clearly. She tried to pull away, but Gilbert maintained his hold on her.
Her face was doll-like and cute, her skin was a smooth and creamy white, and her eyes that were an oceanic deep blue. Removing her hooded red coat, he could see that even with her clothes on, she has a good figure, a bit on the smaller side for the chest but everything else was fine.
A wide grin graced Gilbert's face as he placed her hooded coat back on her.
"This one's a big time cutie. She'll be a popular one." He said after a loud booming laugh. "Bring her to the special box, but make sure not to damage the handcuffs, before she starts throwing them spells at us again."
Then, from the warp points, several ladies in fancy, frilly dress emerged from rippled space and were all gawking at the cruise ship. At this, Gilbert then reached into the pocket inside of his long blue coat and pulled out refined copper.
As if it were food, he placed it in his mouth and bit onto it; making sure that his teeth was enhanced with mana so as to not break them.
Under the magic law of connection, symbolism and derivatives, Copper was associated with the Goddess of Love and has a longstanding associative history with love and lust – and so, under Gilbert's personal magic, that association from eating copper, was ingrained into his body.
His eyes glowed a metallic copper glow, and immediately, he approached the frilly girls. "Ladies, like me party venue?"
The girls turned around, and just from looking at him, their eyes momentarily glowed a copper glow as well. Their faces turned a bright red as they saw him. "Ooh~ Sir Gilbert~ Absolutely, this place is fantastic~"
"Wonderful, now let's head in? I can't wait to show you around."
"Please do!" At this, all the 103 girls, a range of beauty, figure, and elegance, all walked into the cruise ship, and Gilbert watched as his crew all played their roles perfectly. These handpicked girls would make good slaves for his customers.
A slight grin made it to his face, and he nodded at the people who had greeted them into his cruise ship. It was then that the guards sneaked up behind them, each holding a kind of rod with a button on it.
"Hey, what's going on?"
They all pressed on the button, and immediately nets of magical energy extended out, trapping them underneath it, and with another press of the button, and suddenly electricity surged, rendering them unconscious and collapsed down to the floor.
"New girl!!" Gilbert said, then one of the crewmembers that knocked out the 103 ladies was suddenly rattled, having been called out. "Hieeh!! Yes sir!" She said.
"Bring them to their boxes and make them presentable for tomorrow."
"Captain... I..."
"What is it?" He said with a growl, looking at her with such fierce eyes that she stepped back slightly.
"Nothing... Aye... sir..."
At this, the new girl named Rura left. She seemed a little too soft for this, and a dumb one for even thinking of doing a formal application to this type of job. Where did she even get that information? No matter though, she's a cutie too. If ever, she became a little too useless, then she could be sold as well.
Gilbert walked towards the entrance, when suddenly...
The air became heavy.
" ! "
Gilbert twisted his head towards the sea of trees that led into a long and dense forest. 'What was that?' He thought, rattled.
That feeling made chills run down his spine. His fingers quivered, and he suddenly felt sweaty. He felt as if he was being forcefully being dragged into the deepest part of the ocean, with the underwater pressure crushing his skull and body.
*BOOM* *BOOM*
Suddenly, a series of explosions could be heard, shaking the ground and attracting the attention of everyone.
"Boss!! Look!" At this, Gilbert turned, and there several monstrous birds of varying colors and sizes all flying as if they had been frightened by something. Then, a wolf with fur of orange and red and a few purple monkey-looking creatures crashed into the sandy beach near him. They got up, and whimpered as they quickly ran away.
The next thing he saw was a strange one. A massive snake the size of tower with scales of stone and metal soared through the air as if it had been thrown, a chunk of its face had been missing. The gust of wind created when it landed was felt by him even from where he stood.
Something was definitely there, something or someone with monstrous mana. One that was bottomless, like the ocean, and one who could contend even with monsters, on the weaker side they may be. Still, whatever it was, he needed to be prepared just in case.
"Martel?"
"Captain?"
"Prepare the bindings."
"Aye."
※※※(30 minutes earlier)
When Ryutaro began the month of December, all happy and was preparing for Christmas, it never occurred to him in his 18 years of life, that he would suddenly end up in a situation where he would be chased by a group of strange monsters.
"UOAAHHHH!!"
Within a vast and seemingly endless forest, Ryutaro mustered as much strength as he could to move his legs. Heart pounding within his chest like a jack hammer, sweat covering his body as if he took a shower but forgot to dry himself.
He twisted his head to look at the chasers.
A four-legged creature that looked almost like a wolf yet considerably different. Orange and red was its fur, with a fiery tail and eyes... literally, they were leaving trails of flames, smoke, and embers as it ran.
Another, a long and massive slithering snake-like creature. Silver and Gray were the colors of its scale, for it were literally scales of earth and metal. Every tree that came in contact with it was instantly pushed down with a boom.
A purple and yellow monkey. Eight was the number of its arms, from which it was used to grab onto the vines and branches to swing from tree to tree. It was the most creepiest of the three due to it having a total of eight eyes.
And ten other more monsters of varying color, animal forms, and abilities, all chasing after him as if they were a stampede of bulls. "Just you wait till I get my cheat, I'm going to slaughter your ugly asses!!" He threatened.
*RAWR*
The monstrous flaming wolf roared in anger as if it understood him and got really angry, and suddenly it seemed to be running faster, and its hot breath could be felt on his bare naked ass, and it actually felt as if hot steam was blown into his crack.
"OWOW-HOOOHH!!! Forgive me, forgive me. I didn't mean what I said!! I didn't mean what I said!! I didn't mean what I said!!"
He knew how it came to this moment, but even as he experienced it himself, it was still a story hard to believe.
Okazaki Ryutaro had died.
Like in every isekai light novel he has ever read, he died in one world and was resurrected in another. What happened in between his death and rebirth didn't matter, but what mattered was what happened when he came into this world.
Like a zombie climbing out of his grave, Ryutaro dug himself out of dirt and found himself in a random part of the forest where, like a lot of generic isekai stories, just seemed to start off in some random tree-filled area in the middle of nowhere.
He walked for a long few minutes when he saw these creatures, and he wasn't sure what they were thinking or if they were thinking of anything at all, because as soon as they saw him, their hungry eyes charged for him, Ryutaro bolted out of there and they began hunting down their lovely meal of meat whilst more racing with each other to see who would eat him first.
And that's the simplified story of how Ryutaro got into the situation of running naked and sweaty across the beautiful forest with scary monsters chasing him, panting and screaming strangely as he frantically ran for his life.
*BOOM*
A ball of fire, several arcs of electricity, a few wind gusts, and a couple of magical blasts barely missed him as he somehow managed to dodge all of them.
"GUOHO!!" Ryutaro made strange noises as he flinched at the heat.
He made a hard right turn, accelerating his pace in fear of dying a second time. He felt as if his current running speed had exceeded his natural speed. His feet stomping on the dirt floor and quickly pushing himself away from them, the surroundings blurring as if he was moving at speeds much quicker than he normally would.
No, he really was moving faster than normal.
In fact, he wasn't even tired. He may be athletic due to keeping shape and exercising in his old world, but right now he was sprinting. He should be tired, but he wasn't. The fatigue did not creep up to his leg muscles and made it feel like they were burning, his heart, although beating hard, seemed like it was lasting longer.
But he was still human, and he failed to realize an arching branch sticking out and... he tripped. "Wah!" and he fell face first onto the forest floor, "BUEHE!!" – he then tumbled down a steep slope hill.
Rocks and branches prickled his back as he tumbled downhill, making strange noises as he did so. "GUOH!! GYA!! AGH!! OOHOH!!" But as he reached the bottom, he felt nothing. Pain had not overcome his body, no wounds or cuts were present.
"That should've hurt. But at least, I've lost the..." He turned around. "Oh heck..."
He saw all the monsters that were chasing him stood right there before him. He gave out a breath of nervousness, and he could feel his heart beating as if two hundred elephants were stomping on the ground at the same time. Still, he tried then pushed the nervousness down and placed his fists up, pretending he was some kind of boxer.
"Alright boys, let's see them hands. Come on, put em' up!!" He said ever so confidently with a smirk whilst rubbing his nose and using a boxer's footwork as if he was about to face a human non-magical opponent. However inside his head. 'What the hell are you doing you idiot?! Run. Run!!'
He glanced to his right to look for any exits... nothing.
He glanced to his left... nothing.
Turn as he might, there were no signs of any exit at all. Every monster blocked every path, from the sky to the land, all directions were nothing more than paths to death.
Ryutaro gulped, but still fear was not the right answer in this moment. So, he still feigned confidence.
"Muhuhuhu." Chuckling ever so weirdly. "You guys are making things too easy for me. Since I'm not the one stuck in here with you, it's you who're stuck in here with me." He said, with a confident smile on his face, copying a line he heard somewhere.
*BOOM*
At that moment, every magical monster then powered up. The flaming wolf's orange and red fur was overtaken by flames, gusts of wind suddenly spawned all around a great big teal bird, a few beasts suddenly grew in size - mutating, and one even spawned mini clones of itself.
Ryutaro started sweating. 'Oh heck...'
Then, a monstrous sized orange bird with small bits of blue and red feathers charged after him; Ryutaro yelped and he simply closed his eyes. "Oh what the heck?!" He yelled as he just carelessly threw a punch.
*BOOM*
Mana was violently unleashed from Ryutaro's fists at the point of impact with the bird and a loud bang like that of an explosion was heard, which caused said monstrous bird to rocket back towards the other monsters. Smoke came out of Ryutaro's fist.
The loud bang alerted Ryutaro, but even if he never heard it, he felt something was unleashed from within him like a cannon firing its projectile. He opened his eyes, and looked down at his smoking hand. His eyes then sparkled. "Ooh~!"
He then looked at the monsters with a chuckling smirk. He cracked his fists, and he forced a bit of mana out; suddenly, as if they had seen a ghost the monsters depowered and looked at each other.
*THUMP* *THUMP*
The tables have turned.
The monsters that were once frightening had been reduced to nothing more than puppies before his eyes. Truly when one is strong, fear is suppressed. Jason Vorhees was a terrifying villain since he couldn't die, Sadako was terrifying because she's a ghost with psychic powers. Both cases, the protagonists were humans. Fear is brought about when strength is lacking, because fear is the instinct of danger. When fear of a monster is taken away...
"HYAHAH!!"
*BOOM*
With a kick off the ground, Ryutaro accelerated forward at great speeds towards the monsters as their massive feet quickly tried to make a getaway. However, Ryutaro doesn't really intend to kill them, well, they're running away already, no need to make things worse for them. He did not want to be that kind of isekai protagonist.
He stopped short of the monsters, and aimed his fist towards the ground.
*BOOM*
An explosion twice the size of a grenade occurred upon his fists' collision with the ground. "BIG BANG SMASH!!"
A series of explosions occurred, as Ryutaro repeatedly only struck the ground, giving all the monsters a chance to get away.
*BOOM*
*BOOM*
*BOOM*
Each time, Ryutaro struck the ground, mana was violently unleashed at the point of impact, completely blasting the ground into chunks. Ryutaro doesn't know how he was doing it, but he didn't care, he was doing it, that was all that mattered.
"Hyahaha!! Tremble in fear monsters!!" He uttered, imitating a rather cliché line. It's awesome to actually say it himself, cheesy as it was.
The earth snake slithered towards him, clearly deciding to attack instead of run; Ryutaro caught eye of this and he delivered powerful strike right at its face.
*BOOM*
Destroying a chunk of its rocky face into pebbles and debris, and knocking it out. To which he continued his scare tactic. The flaming wolf then fired several balls of fire at a speed equal to fired rubber band. Ryutaro dodged acrobatically, whilst continuously scaring off the other monsters.
Another monster, in fear, shot out several magical beams haphazardly, destroying the surrounding area. Ryutaro acrobatically dodged these haphazard blasts, and he struck both the flaming wolf and the other monster, both were sent launching in different directions.
Then, several purple monkeys split into several clones of itself, and they all came down on him. Seeing this, Ryutaro quickly pulled his hands back.
"ORYAA!!" He increased his punching speed; striking all the monkeys with a rapid and continuous barrage of fists mimicking another fighting style from a rather old 1980's manga that he had read whilst searching through on the internet. "OPA OPA OPA OPA OPA OPA OPA OPA OPA!! OPPAI!! GATLING GUN RUSH!!"
Immediately, the monkeys were launched back as well. They were durable, Ryutaro has to admit. The fact that they were taking hits that would've penetrated through a human said so.
More monsters came attacking him, and soon, he found himself in a 1 v 10 situation, but as he attacked the monsters, he felt strong. It was like the surprise that one felt after bench pressing 100kg for 10 reps when previously you could only do 5, that kind of surprise that a person would feel when someone got a quick burst of strength when the previous days he did much less.
In this case, he was doing backflips and acrobatic movements that he had never done before. He has tried a handstand in the past, but never actually done anything as acrobatic as this, not even once.
His heart was beating quick with excitement as he fought the monsters.
He then took the earth snake by the tail. "GUOAHHHH!!" And with grand yell, he started swinging it around as if he was participating in the men's Olympics hammer throw event. Hitting the monsters that were within the range.
Then, after spinning for quite a while, he then threw the snake away. It's body soared through the air for a bit, then landed. It got up and looked at Ryutaro with scared eyes.
"Boo."
It then ran away.
He looked around himself, seeing the destruction he caused. "I may have overdone it a bit." Pride welled up in his chest. "But..." Then, with puffed out chest and fists on his waist. "HAHAHAHA!!" A booming jovial laughter erupted from him. "This is amazing!" But as soon as he stopped laughing, as he just realized something.
Turn as he might, there were no signs of civilization. No roads, no rivers, nothing. It was just an endless sea of trees. It then finally registered to him that, he was still lost.
"Even less amazing..."
Part 2
Okazaki Ryutaro was lost, but despite that, it didn't stop him from having a little fun with his new found physical ability.
"I, Okazaki Ryutaro, am the wind that flows with destiny." He uttered out overdramatically.
As if he was a shinobi, he jumped from tree branch to tree branch, feeling the wind against his body. 'So this is what it feels like. Now I just need to clone myself and conjure a ball of energy in my hands, oh and a demon fox inside me, then I'm good. Oh, maybe eyes that can copy any skill, sounds cool too.'
He continued going from tree branch to tree branch, but he was still lost. "Yeah, I don't know where I'm going." He said.
Ryutaro stopped, and leaped up towards the top of the trees until he stood at the highest branch with his head poking out of the ceiling of leaves.
He looked around, and he saw sparkling blue smoke in the distance. "Sweet." He sunk back down below the ceiling of leaves, but then poked back out again just to make sure he was going in the right direction. "That way, got it."
Then as soon as he got down to the lower tree branches he accelerated his pace, jumping across tree branches much faster, until he reached the beach, where he saw a massive cruise ship. There were people appearing from rippled space, and carrying boxes of swords and equipment that cackled with magic energy.
Despite that, he was more focused on one thing. "Oh wonderful, people! I wonder if I'll have an isekai universal translator ability. It would be quite helpful." He muttered to himself as he stood up and approached the men and women crew members.
"Excuse me!" He yelled. Sliding down a hill of sand, but his butt poked at a few bits of pebbles. "Ow!" He yelped silently.
They turned to him, then to each other in confusion.
"Great day for a walk, ey boy?" One of the female crew members said, looking at him with a sultry smile. Another few female crewmembers just looked at him with a chuckling smirk while others turned their heads away. Well, being naked in the middle of nowhere does do that sometimes.
"What do you want?" One of the male crewmembers said as he stepped forward.
"Do you understand me?!" He spoke as if he was trying to speak to a foreigner.
"Look naked dude, if you don't want any trouble, get out of here. We don't need you."
"Hmm. Maybe they actually don't understand me."
Ryutaro then started to do some weird made up sign language, which roughly translated to – 'I'm lost, so may I ride on your ship, please?' But as expected, no one understood it, and they just looked at him as if he was merely an idiot. "Hmm. Maybe not that."
Then, he tried it one more time, from which, he used one arm to convey water, and the other arm to convey boat, except it was such a weird way of doing it, again, no one understood it, they looked to be getting angry.
"Hey dumbass, we understand you so quit that and speak up already?!"
"Oh you understand me after all. I wonder, are you speaking in my language or am I speaking in..." It was then that he realized that he wasn't speaking Japanese. "Huh? Hello. Hello? We are aliens. We have come to take your milk. No way, I'm speaking a different language. Wait, am I even the same person? Was I reincarnated and not transferred? My voice sounds the same, but do I even look the same? Am I even in the same body?" Ryutaro started panicking.
He never liked the idea of isekai protagonists that suddenly had a different body, at least he didn't like it if it happened to him. After all, all the hard work he had put into exercise his body and building the muscles so that he could at least be worthy of the title would just have gone to waste.
At this, he frantically looked down at himself. "Well, my scar is still there. My abs are still here. My biceps are still here. My legs muscles, they're still here. Ryutaro junior looks just the same as it did." He then sighed in relief. "Thank goodness, no need to restart from scratch."
"QUIT MUMBLING TO YOURSELF AND GET LOST!!" The crewmember screamed.
At this, Ryutaro straightened himself out. "Oh, sorry about that. I happened to be lost, so I was hoping you'd allow me into your ship and take me to the nearest place." He then asked nicely.
"Huh? Look man, this is not some pick up boat where we take in random strangers, so scram before you regret not leaving." One of the crewmembers said.
"Hold on!" A voice with a weird accent that he had never heard off, call out.
Ryutaro twisted his head towards the source, and there he saw a rather bearded, chubby yet well-groomed man. "Sorry about me men. They've been through some tough times, so it's a little hard for us to just trust anybody coming onto our ship."
"Hmm. Understandable, I am a stranger after all. But could you please grant me this one? I'll even help clean if that's what it takes."
"Well, you look like a strong man. Sure, why not? Men, bring him in." He said, nodding at them. With a nod of their own, he was brought into the cruise ship. Walking in, Ryutaro's eyes widened as he looked in awe at the luxurious designs, like something that rich people would go into, when suddenly...
*CLICK*
He felt something wrapped his wrist, he twisted his head to look down, and there he saw a handcuff binding his hand, then, the chain in between the handcuffs extended quickly, then his other hand was automatically cuffed with a click; the chains decreased in sized, and the two cuffs melded together.
The big-bellied well-groomed bearded man approached him. "Hehe. You are quite the dumb one aren't you? But there will some buyers who don't mind shagging a guy with a strong body like yours. Actually, this might make our market open to the ladies too." He turns to his crew with a smirk. "Hope, Raza doesn't get too mad at us, right?" Everyone laughed.
Still, Ryutaro looked at them with a smirk. "I take it then that you're a sex slave trader, and this ship's where you auction them out."
He nodded with a rather confident smirk as he bows. "That's one of men businesses."
"I see." Ryutaro, didn't feel concerned at all. After all, he managed to scare off the monsters earlier, there's no way that some ordinary handcuffs could contain him. So in his head, he already knew what he was going to do, he didn't have to think it. He just quickly imagined it.
He was going to say this. 'But now that business ends here.'. Then, he breaks through these handcuffs, smash these guys into oblivion, and then immediately free the slaves. Hopefully they are girls, then he gets an instant harem immediately. 'My hero, muah!' AHAHAHAH!! This was going to be awesome.
Time to put that plan to action.
"But now, that business ends here."
He then broke free from the restrains to punch the guy in the gut...
*BAM*
.
.
.
At least, that's what was supposed to happen.
Ryutaro tried to break free from his restrains but for some reason, it doesn't seem to be working. 'Huh?' He thought, as he continuously tried to break free but nothing works. He kept pulling his hands apart, but nothing worked.
"It's no use me boy. I knew you were a mage the first I saw you." He then said.
Ryutaro's gaze descended and it finally registered in his mind that this must be some form of mana-suppressing restriction that was prepared beforehand. Then with a wide smile, he looked back up at them. "So, where's the jail cell?"
...
The iron gate shuts as Ryutaro sat down on the hard surface within the iron-barred jail cell with a small, barred window behind him obediently. "Thanks for letting me stay!" He said happily. From which, he turned to the bespectacled pony-tail girl wearing a red coat. "Such nice men they are, huh?" He continued.
However, such words only got him a deadpan stare from said girl. Ryutaro looked back awkwardly, and his gaze moved all around as if not wanting to meet her eyes. However, eventually he did, and... "You're a mage and you sensed me walking right into a trap didn't you?"
"Yes. Yes, I did." She said.
Ryutaro gulped silently. "Good to know."
Part 3
Blood rushed towards Ryutaro's head as he pulled on the bars with as much sheer force as he could. Not finding any form of strength to do so. In fact, his mana was so low that he almost couldn't feel anything. He knew it was there, but only minimal.
He mustered as much strength, and he could then feel just a tad bit more mana, but it was too little. One could say that he pretty much has none at this point.
"It's no use. Without mana, we're just ordinary humans, and even if you managed to escape, you have to deal with at least a hundred men armed with enchanted weaponry. Think you could do that at the state you're in?"
"I suppose not." Ryutaro said as he sat back down, massaging the calluses on his palms. He looked up and so that while he bent the bar, it was such a small bend that it was practically nonexistent.
"I'm Cecilia by the way. Cecilia Worthington. You?" She then said, extending her hand out for a shake. Ryutaro shook it. "Okazaki Ryutaro."
"Okazaki? That's a weird name."
"Ah, Ryutaro's my first name. Okazaki is my... you get it." He then corrected, no matter how many times he says it, it was still uncomfortable saying his last name, and he thought he had gotten over it already. No matter.
"So tell me, Mr. Ryutaro. Why did you walk into an illegal business ship on your own volition, and naked might I add? I'd very much like to know." She then said, crossed armed and a raised eyebrow.
"I was lost. It was either continue wandering the woods in my birthday suit or go into the large luxurious ship that looks like I could have some nice shelter and food. Clearly, the latter was a bad choice. As for why I'm naked... well, let's leave that for now."
Suddenly, her face twisted into a sad one as if she understood the subtext in his words, but Ryutaro could guess what she's thinking. She was definitely thinking along the subjects of him getting violated in some way shape or form, right? "I'm sorry. It must've been a troubling experience for you." She then said with a worried look.
"Oi know what you're thinking and it's not that, alright?! I was just lost and I didn't have my clothes with me, alright!!" He responded loudly. "And what about you? What's your story? We won't be escaping anytime soon, so don't be shy."
"I was sent here to arrest the man who captured you on account of misuse of magic, selling illegal magical items, and slave trading." She then said. "However he was too strong for me, I couldn't take him down quick enough."
Cecilia leaned against the wall and sighed. She turned to look at Ryutaro, and... his eyes were sparkling like no other.
"Say? Quick question?" He asked.
"Wh-what?"
"Are you perhaps from an adventurer's guild?" Ryutaro then said excitedly and almost childishly, scratch that, he looked almost like a child with his happy expression.
"I don't know about adventurer's guild, but I do belong to a magic guild."
"Oh-oh!! So there really is a guild here!!"
Such wonderful revelation it was! This world has a guild too! Already this world is feeling much more like an isekai than he ever imagined. His heart was beating like a jack hammer, and within him, the flames of passion that was burning for as long as he had known isekai burned much brighter.
"YAHOOO!!" He yelled.
As the two continued talking, suddenly, one of the guards carrying a tray walked in with an annoyed expression. "How bout ya shut your yappin' for a moment ei? Headache's driving me nuts!" Shouted the guard as he clutched his head in pain. "Here your food."
Two trays were then placed next to each other right in front of the iron bar gates.
He then waited for a moment, looked at both of them for a moment. Then, he opened the door swiftly, slid the food trays inside and closed the door just as quick before the two could move. He was definitely experienced with this.
"This surprisingly looks good." He said as he looked down at the tray of dishes that looked as if they came from a decent restaurant; a simple dish consisting of vegetables, rice, and a rather odd-looking blue meat.
"The boss wants our merchandise to look healthy for the buyers. So eat up and stay healthy, or we'll force it down yer throat. You hear me?" And he left, groaning on about his supposed hangover.
Ryutaro looked down at the food, and at the sight of it, he felt his stomach grumble, enough that even Cecilia heard it; his saliva dribbled down his mouth. "Suddenly, this doesn't look like a bad decision. Well, then. Thanks for the meal!!" And he ate it. "Mmhm. Dghh igh kood, Tchetila, you phoulph iph dis."
"You're rather calm, aren't you? Also don't eat with your mouth full, I didn't understand a single word you said."
"Well, look at it from my case. A man lost in the woods gets free shelter and free food for the time being. How can I not be calm?" He chuckled as he continued eating. "Besides, getting kidnapped and jailed is not the worst thing that has happened to me."
"..."
Ryutaro suddenly felt the silence descend down and he tilted upwards to gaze at Cecilia to see a rather rattled expression. Ah, that's right, he did say something a little odd, didn't he? That was a little stupid of him for letting it slip out like that.
"Are you perhaps vegan? I can eat the meat if you want." He then said, hoping to change the topic.
"N-no, it's okay. I'll manage." She said, still looking a little confused by what he said.
Ryutaro really needed to fix this. This is a new life in a new world, so there's no need to bring up anything from his old world.
No need at all.
...
Later that night, Ryutaro woke up from his sleep with Ryutaro Junior being extremely stiff. 'I need to take a piss.' He then said as he looked around himself. 'Question however is... where do I piss?'
He held his dick and tried pissing inside the jail cell, but... "No, I can't do that. This place's going to stink. Maybe he could piss outside the cell, no it would still have the same problems. Maybe... no. Maybe... no"
Maybe this and maybe that. Ryutaro started getting restless. He tapped his feet relentlessly, then started scratching his head ever so furiously, and he tried walking back and forth. However, try as he might, he couldn't delay the eventual release of his golden water any further.
'Yo!! Where do I piss?!! That's right, the guard. He's supposed to watch us, so he'll know what to do."
As soon as he turned towards the guard, he could see him sleeping on his chair. Saliva dribbled down his face, and he had a stupid expression. 'OII, YOU'RE SUPPOSE TO BE GUARDING US RIGHT? DO YOUR JOB, DAMN IT!!'
At this, Ryutaro then squatted down, holding it in even more. Enough that he could feel the shaft of family jewels aching. Imagine a water hose and the pressure it builds up when water is flowing but it couldn't escape. 'I could yell, but I don't want to wake everyone up, that would be rude! But I need a toilet. Even a bucket is fine, or a bottle, maybe even a cup. Just anywhere but on the floor where it'll start to stink.'
It was then that he noticed the moonlight peeking through the barred windows behind him, one that if he were to look out from, it would be towards the ocean.
His mind clicked.
♦
Cecilia couldn't sleep, rather her mind was occupied. Currently, she was in an extremely bad situation. Not only did she lose access to her mana, but her magic items that she could use even without mana were either taken from her or destroyed whilst battling that man Sir Gilbert.
She could hear shuffling behind her, and the tapping of feet, but she paid no mind to it and kept on thinking... until...
*PISSSSSSS*
She heard a strange sound. "Ryu... what are you..." She said as she turned, but as soon as she did, she saw a moonlit Ryutaro aiming his junior up in the air and shooting his golden water through the barred window. His face was of relief and he shivered and groaned, enough that it could be mistaken for something much more lewd.
He turned for a bit, and suddenly, everything but the golden water froze in surprise.
.
.
.
Ryutaro took in a deep breath whilst continuing to piss, then suddenly, a confident look graced his face. "I know how this must look, but life is not complete without its troubles. When faced with challenges such as I had, your mind is always your greatest asset."
Cecilia remined silent.
"Understand my situation, it would be disgusting of me to do my work on the ground from which we sleep on and pissing outside would still stink up our cell, therefore this option was the only one in sight." He said seriously.
.
.
.
"Also understand that what you're witnessing right now, is an easily avoidable trauma by the simple, ancient, and extremely effective technique of looking away." He then continued confidently without a hint of discomfort at the situation of someone looking at him pissing.
Registering what he said, she stiffly turned away. "Ah-ah... my bad."
Part 4
Morning, the next day. Okazaki Ryutaro and Cecilia Worthington were still stuck within the jail cell. Once again, Ryutaro took his chance at trying to muster enough mana to rip the bars apart. "Hnngh!!" Except, once again, there was no progress. Even less than the previous day, as he couldn't channel enough mana to even bend the bars.
"Damn it!!"
He collapsed down to the ground, and looked towards the guard who just sat there by the door, reading an erotica magazine knowing fully well that escaping was impossible. The girl on the cover looked especially nice, a little on the smaller side, but eh... flat is justice as they say, right?
"Could I perhaps get a peek too? It's a little boring in here." Ryutaro then asked randomly.
"And watch you get a stiffie in the nude? Sorry bud." He then said, from which he then chuckled as he continued reading the magazine.
Ryutaro looked down at his naked flopping Ryutaro junior. "Fair point."
Then, suddenly he heard a knock on the door, then entered a black and white striped shirt, brown trousers, green-haired girl with a teal bandanna on. 'Hmm. I wonder if that's dyed hair or they have natural green hair in this world.' He then thought as he looked on at said rather cute girl with a petite figure.
"Huh? Rura?"
"Sir Salazar's asking for your help, and asked me to switch with you." She responded rather meekly, her eyes then trailed towards him and suddenly, a bright blush found its way onto her face.
"For crockles sake, finally! I was getting tired of sitting me ass here all morning." The other guard said as he took his magazine and water bottle before leaving the room; and the chair that was left empty was now occupied by this green-haired girl named Rura, who was blushing rather madly.
Her gaze was switching between the ground and him. Perhaps it was because he was naked. After all, his face was a rather average one, maybe even less so. His mama always called him handsome when he was still around 5 or 6, but that's just a mother thing, right?
Perhaps, he could take advantage of this situation. Maybe get her to open the gates if he could push the right buttons. Ryutaro sighed, however. As much as doing this was a rather shitty move, muscle did nothing for him, so it's best he must use his brains. After all, an isekai protagonist can handle all situations, therefore, Ryutaro must be able to think on the fly, especially at times when he has no other options.
Then, he moved over to Cecilia, sitting right next to her. But as soon as he did. "No." She said instantly.
"What?"
"You're sitting next to me so that you could get closer to me then use that filthy thing hanging down there to completely violate my body aren't you?" She said seriously whilst moving back towards the wall.
"And how the hell did you come up with that conclusion?!" Ryutaro responded, however he leaned in and whispered. "I think I discovered a way to get us out of here. Be ready." He then said as he stood up, then walked over to the bars, and it was there that Rura the cute green-haired guard got a full-look of his bare front side through the jail bars. "Hey." Ryutaro said.
"W-what?"
"How about you and I talk? Miss Grumpy over here's just no fun at all."
"O-oh..." She stumbled in her words as she walked forward to get closer to him. Her movements were meek and her steps had some weight in them.
Ryutaro has read a lot of romance manga in between isekai stories, and unlike some of his classmates, he figured out that they were not a source of good romancing techniques. Like hell anyone's getting a girl, just by being a nice guy and saving someone, it gets you a friend yes, but a lover? Nope.
Though, while he never put any of his romancing skills to the test, now was a good time try, cringy and cheesy it may be because it was his first time. "So, let's get to know one another. You and I." He said with a rather charming smile.
She blushed ever so furiously. 'Alright, so far so good. Hopefully this works.'
♦
Within the storage room of the cruise ship were all the magical goods were being unloaded for the auction, one of the two people in charge of overseeing the entire operation suddenly had a thought. "Say, do you think it was alright to leave Rura in there?" The other guard said.
He continued shifting his glances between his erotica magazine and the workers who were unloading all the magical items.
"You mean the new girl? She wasn't much help here so I sent her to replace you."
The guard with the magazine shifted his gaze up to look at him. "I mean, that guy in there's a looker. You think he might take advantage of her to escape?"
With a single raised eyebrow and a deadpan stare the other guard responded. "Dan. Reality. Porn. If women were as simple in real life as they were in erotica, I'd guarantee you we'd have a huge harem by now." He said.
"True."
"Besides, even if he tries, she doesn't have the keys to help them. So I wouldn't worry about it."
♦
'This girl cannot be this simple? I'm trying to use her to escape, but suddenly I feel like the bad guy for even thinking of doing such a thing to her!' Ryutaro thought.
Back at the jail cell where Ryutaro and Cecilia was kept. Ryutaro continued to try to seduce this girl. The idea was to use her to escape, by having her open the gate so that she could come in and make out with him, only to knock her out, then they could make their escape.
Now that he thought about it, it was a really poorly-thought out plan.
"Actually I love animals. I studied about animal care, so that I could work with more with them. You know, I don't like how people say they like cats or dogs, I think both are adorable."
"Really now? Dogs are more my thing, but cats works too."
'What in all of cinnamon rolls is this? She's too sweet! Animal care? That's too cute! How the hell did a girl like that ended up in a place like this? Where was that woman who looked at me whilst biting her lips? Why couldn't I get her? Why did I get the sweet innocent girl who looks like she's trying to get through life. At this rate, I don't even want to seduce her. This just makes me want to hug her, ask her out on a date, then if things go well, then I'll help support her. I think I'm going to cry just listening to this!'
Ryutaro no doubt was a beginner, nothing but experience would've prepared him for this kind of situation. The plan was suddenly steered off into a direction that he had not intended to go. Now, it's almost like the both of them are just trying to get to know each other over dinner, except without the dinner part.
Meanwhile, Cecilia's cold aura could be felt. He shivered as if some kind of demon was waiting behind him. He could tell what she was saying even without her saying it. 'Hurry up with this plan before I kick that hanging sack of yours.' At least, that's what he thought she's thinking.
'What the hell am I supposed to do? I did not expect her to be this kind of woman. Oh what the hell? Time to talk my way out of this.'
"You know. You don't belong in a place like this."
"Huh?"
"I mean, what's a sweet girl like you doing in a shady place like this. If someone told me you work here, I would've not believed them."
Suddenly, Rura's gaze descended to the ground, and her lips and hands trembled. She grabbed her trembling hand with her other one. "I... I knew what kind of place this was... but I needed the money to enter the animal care guild."
"Don't you have anyone supporting you?"
"I...I was driven out of my home by my step-mother after my father died, and I... don't have enough money. With everything being too expensive in the Royal City, it's hard enough to get by. Honestly, I didn't know what I was thinking at the time, joining this place. I knew what they were doing, but I..." She said, trembling.
Ryutaro couldn't help but feel bad. Certainly, she was someone who just ended up in a bad situation out of desperation. Desperation, it would make you do several things you wish you hadn't done.
His heart suddenly felt a weight just by listening to such a familiar tone. The trembling and self-deprecating voice in her voice was all he needed to hear.
Ryutaro then grabbed her hand through the iron bars. "I'm from a relatively well-off family, so I can't claim to completely understand everything you're feeling. However I do know one thing. You have a good heart. I don't think you'll ever live yourself down knowing that you participated in this kind of business."
"..."
"Life is not complete without its hardships. Like everybody else, all we can ever do is brace our balls and continue onwards."
She giggled. Did he say something weird? He thought it sounded rather deep. Well, no matter. He's no word master or philosopher.
"I don't have balls you know." She said.
"Oh you do. I got two hanging down here, you got two jiggling up there."
Surprised, she lightly slapped Ryutaro in the head as she giggled. "Oh my gosh you're an idiot." Ryutaro lightly laughed with her. There it is, that reaction. Sometimes, someone just needed a little bit of a joke (bad as it may be). At least she stopped trembling.
Ryutaro stopped chuckling. "Rura, will you help us?"
In that instant, her expression dropped again and her downward gaze clearly told Ryutaro how conflicted she was, but after what seemed like a minute or two. "Ok, I'll do it." She said.
"I knew you would."
"But I don't have the keys with me right now."
"Huh?!" Ryutaro suddenly felt like he wanted to collapse like anime in the old times used to do.
"The keys are always stored in Captain Gilbert's office, and no one can use them unless they were given a direct order, but I do know where those who have been kidnapped are. I can take you to them."
"Great, but do you think you can sneak in to his office without drawing suspicious?"
"I... No. I've only been here for a few days so not many people trust me yet, so if I were to just wander off, people might suspect something."
Ryutaro sighed in frustration.
"But I can try!!" She suddenly, said all determined.
At this, Rura took in a deep breath then slapped herself twice in the face. She then tip-toed towards the exit, acting as if she were a ninja or something. She slowly opened the door, then as it close behind her.
"Oi!! Who told you to move from your post?! Get back in and guard them!" One of the female crewmembers yelled at her ever so loudly. It sounded like a very masculine women as her voice was extremely deep. Steroids?
"Hieeh! Sorry!" Ryutaro heard Rura yell.
The door then opened, and in came a defeated Rura looked at him with tears. "Ryutaro... I really can't do it."
"Y-yeah. Nice try." He comforted.
Out of options, Ryutaro sat back down. He really wasn't sure what to do at this point. He couldn't use his mana, and there was nothing around him that he could use in order to get out. As of now, he wasn't smart enough to find the most minor details around his surroundings, nor is it like he's that reincarnated slime who has essentially an internal computer so that he could science his way out of something.
"Nice plan." Cecilia said.
Ryutaro simply looked at her with a deadpan stare in response to her sarcasm. "At least I didn't give up like you." He then responded.
"I did not give up. I'm just... out of options. Clearly you are too."
"Yeah, and we can't completely rely on Rura at this stage either."
"Sorry." Rura said.
"Don't worry about it."
Ryutaro glanced down at his hands, then back up at the jail bars (specifically at the area where he slightly bent it). Seeing that bend on the bar, Ryutaro narrowed his eyes. 'Screw it, I'm not smart enough to think about this.' He thought.
"But there's no way I'm giving up." He said as he then stood in front of the gate, and grabbed the bars.
"Alright. One. Two!!"
He pulled on the gate with all the raw strength he could muster; his face turned red, his veins begun popping out in several places, his muscles bulged and flexed from being used to their fullest potential. Along the way, he tried to muster as much mana as possible.
"Mr. Ryutaro could you not be so reckless? I told you, there was no way that-"
*CRACK*
The handcuff cracked slightly; Cecilia went wide eyed, and she sat up in surprise. "That can't be."
♦
Within the Captain Gilbert's office.
" ! "
The cold air from the frost-enchanted magical item that cooled down his body, was suddenly dripping in sweat once again. Gilbert's eyes widened, and he felt his fingers trembling once again.
'This feeling... that boy... how?'
That was a first-grade mana suppression handcuff that would be normally accessible to the authorities of magic security, by all means he should've been rendered incapable of using any mana whatsoever.
Surprised, Gilbert smashed his palm on a magic circle on his desk; the circle glimmered a radiant red. "Find the mages!"
"Wait, why?!"
"Don't question me and go you numbskulls! GO!!"
Gilbert removed his hands from the magic circle. His eyes narrowed, and his brows furrowed. "Tch. Was it defective?" He muttered.

Ryutaro could feel his mana a little more now, like droplets of water from a leaking pipe; and he pulled on the gate much harder.
The jail bars on the gate bent even more, but Ryutaro kept pulling. His face was twisted into an odd expression, his face was much redder than before, his callouses were being pinched heavily, and his muscles continued to be flexed from exertion.
The bar bent again.
"Come on...!!"
Cecilia looked on it surprise at the amazing feat being shown before her.
*CRACK*
The handcuffs cracked a little more, and suddenly, Ryutaro's eyes widened and with a quick pull of his arms.
*CLANG*
The metal gate was ripped off from its hinges, but it hit him straight in the face with a - *BONK* - "WAHH!!" And his head flung back from the pain.
"Mr. Ryutaro!!" Yelled Cecilia.
She quickly moved to Ryutaro's side, taking a look at his face.
"I'm alright, I'm good."
He turned around, bleeding profusely from the head as his right eye down to his chin was drenched in blood.
"You're not alright at all!"
Ryutaro smiled confidently at her. "Tis but a flesh wound!!"
"You say that as if it's a casual injury!!"
"Look, we don't have time. The kidnapped takes priority, my wounds will heal itself!!" Ryutaro said, from which he then kicked off the ground and tackled down the doors into the hallways of the cruise ship.
Turning left from right, there he saw two crewmembers running towards his direction with swords that cackled with magical energy. Immediately, Ryutaro accelerated forward.
*BAM* *POW*
A headbutt and a tackle, Ryutaro's strength incapacitated the two men almost immediately.
Looking at the pants of one of the members, Ryutaro said, "Nice, I finally have some pants."
Ryutaro squatted to take off the trousers of the knock out members, starting with his shoes then to his pants and belt; and he wore them for himself. "Thankfully this has a belt, it's too loose." He muttered to himself.
At the same time, Rura poke her head out from the inside of the jail room, and try as she might to maintain a brave face, her trembling legs did nothing to hide her fear. At this, Ryutaro patted her head. "It's alright, we'll protect you." Rura's face was painted a bright red as she blushed heavily. "Right, Cecilia?"
Cecilia silently raced her hands, shaking the handcuffs as if emphasizing it.
Restarting his actions, Ryutaro turned back to Rura in an instant. "It's alright. I'll protect you. Right, me?"
"You don't have to rephrase it like that." Cecilia said.

Rura was still blushing and did not register what he had said.
Part 5
With Ryutaro up front, Cecilia in the back, and Rura between them, the three ran along the cruise ship towards the Captain's office to grab the keys, passing by its various facilities, ranging from: casinos filled with odd magical devices for gambling, actual fitness centers, bathing areas, bars and much more.
"Right!" Rura yelled.
Running across the cabin hallways, Rura continued to direct Ryutaro and Cecilia on where to go next; and they turned hard right on the corner, when suddenly, the stomping feet of many crew members could be heard as they turned the corner as well – meeting Ryutaro and the girls head on.
"There they are!!" Screamed the men as they then ran at them at full speed.
Like the previous men that Ryutaro took down, firmly in their palms were bladed weapons that cackled with magical energy. Ryutaro was not fazed, and he simply charged whilst screaming. "UOOAHHHHH!!!"
An aura like that of a wild beast was suddenly unleashed in a short few instant; the men stopped, pulling the brakes on their attack. "Oh! Oh! Back! Back! Back! AHHHHHH!!" Then they started running back, as if they were the ones being chased.
But they stopped midway...
"Hold on, why are we the ones running?! We have the weapons?!" One of the crewmembers said, as they all stopped and turned around to meet the scantily cladded Ryutaro. "We're not afraid of yo-"
*POW*
"BUEHH!!" Said man's head flung back after colliding with Ryutaro's forehead.
With a kick, the man was sent launching back. The men, in order to not pierce their fellow crew member drew their blades back and tried to catch him instead.
With the opportunity showing itself, Ryutaro kicked off the ground and accelerated forward.
*BAM* *POW* *BAM*
Three kicks and a few tackles, Ryutaro took down several of the crewmembers simultaneously. He wasn't as acrobatic as he was should he have his mana, but he could still move at a much greater level than that of even the most athletic man of his world.
Another blade came striking at him, Ryutaro blocked it using the chains between his handcuffs - *BAM* *POW* - two kicks to the groin and chest, and one roundhouse kick - *BOOM* - the man wielding the blade slammed into the wall and was knocked out.
*TEAR*
He heard fabric tearing, and he looked down at his pants, seeing a sizeable hole that went from his groin down to his butt. "Oh come on, I just got these."
Meanwhile, with Cecilia and Rura who were simply hiding and watching Ryutaro battle them from a corner. Rura suddenly walked out of her hiding spot, with steeled eyes and fists that restrained itself from shaking. "I'm going to help him fight too!!"
She picked up a spear that cackled as if surrounded by electricity, from one of the crewmembers that were taken down, and she stood firmly.
"Wait, Rura don't be an idiot!" Called Cecilia.
"My parents didn't raise me to be a coward. Like life I'm going to get through this with my iron will!" She raised the bladed spear up as if she was ready for war itself. "Come at me!!" She yelled.
Rura's upper and lower body seemed like they came from two different people. Her upper half firmly grasped onto the spear with forced confidence, but the lower half was like a puppy scared out of its wits and was trembling as if she was hugged by the cold.
"You're seriously shaking you know that?" Cecilia then said.
"Oi, Rura you traitor!!!" A loud scream from behind Cecilia. Rura turned, and she saw another bunch of crewmembers heading in their direction from another hallway, and they held the rods that expelled magical nets, the same ones that captured the girls earlier. With the light shining behind them, and covering their front with shadows, Rura just watched as the menacing men all just ran towards him.
They pressed on the button of the rods, then out came the magical nets.
"NEVERMIND! NEVERMIND! NEVERMIND! RYU, HELP ME!!" Rura screamed, teary-eyed. Her whole body was stiff, and even as she held the weapon, she could not move it.
Then suddenly...
*WHOOSH*
"GAHH!!"
The men dropped like pinballs as soon as a crewmember woman was flung in the direction of the other crewmembers, causing them to crash.
Though the net fell on Rura, immediately, Ryutaro ran towards her and ripped the net away as if it were but paper. He then placed a hand on her shoulder. "Brilliant spirit Rura, but leave the fighting to me for now."
At this, Rura just sunk back to her hiding spot, and timidly said, "Y-yeah. I'll just support you from afar. Let's go, Ryutaro. Let's go. Yeah..." She suddenly started literally cheering, a bit of tears dropped down her eyes.
Cecilia sighed.
Another bunch crewmembers came in for the attack, but Ryutaro took them down one by one. Whether they gang up on him, or strike him individually, there was very little they could do, even if they had magically-enchanted weapons.
In the end, a lot of the crewmembers were taken care off. Everyone except one man, who stood there, shaken.
Ryutaro's gaze turned to him, panting slightly. There he stood, the sole person who didn't attack him, his hands seemed to shiver and his knees looked as if they were about to cave in. "You wanna go next?" Ryutaro asked.
The last crewmember quickly shook his head, then dropped his sword, and ran towards the wall - *POW* - knocking himself out, and collapsing down unconscious.
"That was not necessary but, thank you. That was very nice of you." He turned to the girls behind him. "Let's go."
And so continued on Ryutaro's constant beating down on the crewmembers, or at least what was left of them. Whether he took out a lot of them during that first fight or many of them just simply ran away after they realized that it was not worth the pay to continue this, it didn't matter to the three of them, as they could get to their destination faster. Still, there were a few who stayed behind to fight.
.
.
.
Ryutaro tackled down another crewmember, and he fell down the stairs like bowling pins after being struck.
"HAHAHA!!" Ryutaro then looked at them, and smiled ever so confidently. "You only had one mistake, and that was having me as your ene-"
He was punched in the face.
*POW*
"Mmph!" He stumbled backwards a little bit.
He turned, and saw a man with ripped physique and brass knuckles that cackled with magical energy as well. He started punching the air, as if trying to be threatening to him, and he even did a few kicks, and he just kept going... and going... and going... and- Ryutaro sighed, and he quickly accelerated forward, and kicked him in the groin. Knocking him out completely.
"Finally..." Ryutaro muttered to himself.
He then turned to the girls, who came out of another room with the intention of hiding whilst Ryutaro did all the fighting. "No matter how many times I see it, you're still amazing Ryu." Rura said.
At this, Ryutaro's heart jumped, and his face turned a bright red. He was complimented for once, ain't that a first time? It was good living two lives. "Oh please, no! It's nothing. Pfft... nothing at all." Ryutaro smiled as he said so.
"..."
Immediately, Ryutaro noticed the downcast gaze of Cecilia and her fists were trembling, or perhaps, was she mad? Frustrated? "Cecilia?"
"Yeah?"
"Something wrong."
"And what would give you the idea that something is wrong?"
"You just look a little frustrated, that's all."
"Wha... Can you not pay that close of an attention to me? That's creepy, you're creepy." Cecilia then said, as she stepped back.
"Is that how you treat someone who shows an inch of concern?!" Ryutaro yelled. However, he simply shrugged it off. There was no time to be wasting on casual conversations like this. "Whatever." Ryutaro shrugged, from which he turned to Rura. "How much further are we?"
"Not too far." Said a male voice out of nowhere.
Surprised, Ryutaro twisted his head, and there stood the bulging-bellied man, Gilbert. " ! "
Ryutaro tried to move, but something firmly grabbed onto his throat and before he knew it - *BAM* - "Gah!" His back collided with the wall, a strong and firm grip still pushing against his neck. His feet weren't touching the ground as he was lifted up, his head much closer to the ceiling.
His throat felt restricted, his face turned red, and he couldn't speak out a word.
"Gonna have to parade on ya'll here." Gilbert said.
He glanced at the two girls, as if daring them to try and attack him. However, Cecilia looked like she knew better, and did not bother trying to move.
"I'm surprised. In all me years of living, I would've never thought that I'd see a mage who could use mana under those bindings. Either you're a very special man, or the handcuffs were already damaged beforehand. Either way, you're a merchandise I won't let go of easily." Gilbert smirked.
"Kuh..."
Ryutaro's fingers turned red in a struggle, as he tried to pull the hand away from his neck. However, he couldn't. It didn't help that he was slightly losing air due to his throat being pressed on.
Gilbert then turned to the girls, looking at them as if appraising an item. Cecilia tried to move, but Gilbert pressed harder onto Ryutaro's throat, and she stopped. With his free hand, he then took out copper bar from his breast pocket, and he ate it. The sound of crunching metal is heard, as he munched down on the copper as if it were a snack bar.
His eyes glowed a metallic copper. "How about ya'll girlies head back to your cells, alright?" He said, and suddenly, Rura and Cecilia's eyes turned a metallic copper. Their faces turned a flushed red, and a gentle smile made its way onto their faces, smiles as if looking at a lover or husband.
"Yes my dear." They both said simultaneously, from which they began walking back; Gilbert smirked.
Ryutaro struggled even more. His nails dug into the skin of Gilbert's hands, but still nothing. He tried mustering as much mana as he could. "Grgghhh!!"
*CRACK*
The crack in the handcuff widened once more, and suddenly, Ryutaro could feel strength coming back to his arms.
Gilbert twisted his head towards Ryutaro. "Again! GAHH!!" Ryutaro twisted his arm, and Gilbert winced in pain; Ryutaro quickly swung his leg, and in an instant. - *BAM*- Gilbert was sent launching back, his body crashing through the walls and out of the cruise ship.
In that instant, the spell that bound the minds of Cecilia and Rura broke. "You two alright?" Ryutaro asked.
"Yeah, thanks."
"Continue without me, I'll keep him at bay." He was about to run out, when suddenly he was stopped by Cecilia. "Mr. Ryutaro. Be careful. If you see him eat gold, he'll use remotely controlled magical weapons, you'll be surrounded on all sides." She warned.
Ryutaro nodded. "Got it. Now go!"
Cecilia silently nodded and kept going with Rura. Ryutaro then turned back and dashed towards the back of the ship, where as he got out of the hole that Gilbert flew through, he was suddenly assaulted by multiple weapons.
Three staffs shot different elements (fire, lighting, and wind) at him.
*BOOM*
He dropped down to the sandy shore and dodged. Then at the same time, several blades were being hurled at him at the speed of a cheetah; Ryutaro acrobatically dodged.
Ryutaro looked up to see a total of 4 bladed weapons (2 swords and 2 spears) along with 3 staffs, for a total of 7 weapons, all hovering in the air, and Gilbert, the irises of his eyes glowed a metallic gold. 'Looks like he's already eaten gold.' He thought.
He tried to dodge again, but suddenly, Ryutaro's foot slipped on the sand. "WAHH!!" He fell.
More blades came rushing at him, and he rolled away, dodging the flying weapons before they stabbed him.
He got up and was faced with the red jewel of a staff that reflected the light of the sun. It glimmered, and...
*BOOM*
Flames blossomed underneath him. "GAHH!!" And the pressure of the explosion flung Ryutaro back; crashing into the sound. He painfully stood up, "Pretty stack of goodies you got there? Where'd you get them, Toys R' Us?"
Gilbert chuckled. "These are just a few of the magic weapons I took for myself during past trades. Came in handy in protecting myself, especially since I got no time to expand on my magic like em' St Merlin students."
"Saint Merlin?" He muttered to himself. Then, suddenly, he turned, and several blades were coming at him.
*BOOM*
Still, Ryutaro managed to dodged. Then suddenly, one blade came rushing to him, and nicked his arm mid-air. "Ahh!!" Drawing blood.
He landed and continued dodging the multiple blades and elemental blasts by the seven weapons, but as he did so...
*SPLURT*
Suddenly, blood began spurting out of his shoulder and what was once a small cut that was as thin as a paper, had suddenly enlarged. "Wha...?" He looked at Gilbert, seeing him chuckle.
Still Ryutaro smiled aggressively and confidently, looking at him, before charging in.
♦
"This is it?" Cecilia said, as she and Rura walked into the magical items storage room, where Cecilia could see all of kinds of magical items. "Yeah, we keep all the magical items we plan to auction off in this area. But why did we come here?"
"I was hoping Mr. Ryutaro could just force the jail bars open like he did us, but with him occupied, now we only have my bag as a last resort."
"Then why don't we get the keys from Captain Gilbert's office?"
"Rura, use your head a little. Do you think that he'll just let us walk into his office? I'm sure it must be filled with traps at the entrance alone."
Walking across the magical items storage compartment, Cecilia looked around the large room filled with boxes filled with illegal magical items. To her right, was a kind of magic device that could produce money infinitely, except such a thing could damage the global economy and the value of money per se. Another was a magic device that could forcefully extract the memories of others, except, forced mind reading is an illegal and misuse of magic.
Then, suddenly, she found her waist bag.
"Can you use that without mana?" Rura asked.
"Why do you think these guards can wield magic swords and spears? Magic Items were originally made for ordinary humans, to improve their quality of life and for people like the Interior Defense Knights who are mostly comprised of non-mages but still need to defend themselves until a mage from St Merlin's arrives. Get a license for one, it'll help you protect yourself." She said, from which she then activated it.
It glimmered, then suddenly, every magical object in the room was sucked into her waist bag, leaving the room and the boxes completely empty.
" ! "
She then wore it. "Alright, I've got what we came for. Let's go."
With that, they leave the empty storage room
♦
Time and time again, Ryutaro couldn't get one hit in because he was spending too much time dodging all of the weapons. Large cuts and bruises littered his body, and he was barely holding on.
Ryutaro tried to break away from the handcuffs, but all he got was just a pained wrist.
"Damn..."
If only, he could get the handcuffs off, but... it was just too hard. He couldn't force his way out of it even as he tried to do so.
"Don't bother. Those cuffs are enchanted to be durable against a mages' enhanced strength, you won't be able to rip them off easily." Gilbert said with a grin.
"I wouldn't be too sure about that." He then tried to pull it off and trying to be cool, but the same happened... nothing. "Okay you're right." He said in defeat.
Then, he heard several whooshing sounds approaching him.
*BOOM*
The ground exploded, a crater was left; Ryutaro was left jumping around trying to dodge all of the weapons. 'Damn it, I can't even get close to him. No wonder Cecilia got captured, this guy's ridiculous.'
One nearly struck his flopping penis that poked through the hole of his pants. "WAHAHHHH!! OI, WATCH WHERE YOUR POINTING YOUR BLADES, ANYWHERE BUT MY FACE OR MY FAMILY JEWELS YOU PIGBREATH!!"
"Don't worry, you won't lose value as a sex slave. Yer ass will just be used instead. This might close my chances with the lady customers, but who knows, there are some freaky deaky ladettes out there!!"
"THAT'S EVEN WORSE!! EVEN IF I LOSE HERE AT LEAST LET ME KEEP THEM!!" Suddenly, Ryutaro noticed one by one that the blades were all swinging down at his nether regions.
He dodged.
A few more blasts of magical energy, fire, and other elemental attacks came charging towards his balls again.
He dodged.
They were all aiming at his nether regions for real, and all Ryutaro could do dodge whilst protecting Ryutaro Junior from being chopped into tiny sausage bits. "Oi! OI!! STOP AIMING AT MY DICK YOU MONSTER!!"
Gilbert simply laughed.
"Why you little fat bastard.."
♦
Whether it was because Ryutaro had already managed to defeat many of the guards, or some of them just decided to run away, it didn't matter. At the end of the day, it was because of that, that Cecilia and Rura had managed to reach the jail cells where the slaves were kept without any form of resistance.
Just before reaching the entrance to the jail cells of the kidnapped people, they suddenly heard the sound of two men talking; Rura and Cecilia hid behind a corner.
"Hey Dan."
"Yeah?"
"Let's bail."
"What why?"
"My gut's telling me that this place is done for. We've got at least several years' worth of money to live on for now. Let's just go before we get caught by the security knights."
"Alright, nut first, let me pack my magazines."
"Dude, we can buy more. I'll even treat you to that one brothel, you know the one with the feather-haired Mamia that you've talked about so much."
"Ohhh... fine! Fine! I'll miss you my babies!!" With that, the two guys then went on running away.
Listening to this, Rura looked at Cecilia, and she returned a silent shrug, but with them out of the way now, Cecilia and Rura now easily walked straight to the entrance without a problem.
"Take cover." Cecilia said as she then opened her waist bag; pulling out a red orb with the Rune of Fire on it.
As it was a magic item, it did not require mana to be used; and so, Cecilia quickly threw the red orb at the entrance, and then...
*BOOM*
The doors blasted asunder, and the doors shattered into multiple fragments. In ran Cecilia and Rura, where they immediately saw all the kidnapped girls. Although they look in pristine condition, following Gilbert's code of keeping his merchandise in tip-top shape for when he sells them, but their faces spoke anything but tip-top.
"Don't worry, we're here to help. Just stand back." Cecilia said.
At this, the girls then went to the back of the cage, and Cecilia walked several steps back as well. Rura simply went out and hid away.
Cecilia took out two colored orbs from her bag, one red and one blue.
With a swing, she threw the blue one first.
*FWOOSH*
The jail bars suddenly were covered in a freezing ice. Then, Cecilia threw the red orb.
*BOOM*
The bars were blasted to fragments just as the door that suffered the same fate did.
As the iron gates were unlocked, the kidnapped girls quickly walked out free. At that moment, they heard a massive - *BOOM*- once again from the outside.
"What's happening?" One of the girls said.
"Just keep going." Cecilia said.
She stayed behind everyone, looking back and forth with her hands already on her bag just in case there's still someone who would fight them in these conditions. But as they ran across the ship and continued on, Cecilia had realized that there really was no one left.
Past the hallway, then another hallway, and through the casino and through the swimming pool, there was not one conscious person at sight. Like those two guys form earlier, they all seemed to have left the cruise ship when they realized that there's no more money in on this.
Soon, they've reached the entrance, and immediately, there they saw, Ryutaro. Struggling to keep a chain that extended from one of the two spears and was wrapped around his neck from choking him. "Aghh!!"
"Ryuta- " Rura was about to scream, when suddenly her mouth was covered by Cecilia. "-mmph!"
"Shhh." Cecilia said.
She then opened her bag.
♦
"Ohohoh. You really are something. Such strong well-endowed body with a great mana. Yer value is much more than that of a sex slave, you'd sell for much more as a military slave. So why don't I cut ya a deal? I let the rest of the ladies go but yer going to have to stay."
"Like, I'll ever-"
*BOOM*
In that instant, flames blossomed out from besides Gilbert, distracting him, and loosening the chains on Ryutaro's neck; he fell to the ground and suddenly, gasping for air.
"Mr. Ryutaro move out of the way!" Ryutaro suddenly heard, and in that instant, he jumped away.
At that instant, a magical circle appeared above Gilbert, and a powerful pillar of light struck down as if the heavens themselves were giving divine judgement; Gilbert dropped to the floor and was staying there as if gravity had suddenly increased for him. "GAHHH!!"
He lifted up his hand, and all seven of his weapons were flung at the magic circle.
*CRACK* *SHATTER*
The magic circle broke.
"Tch." Cecilia uttered, and she took another orb from her waist bag; tossing it right towards Gilbert; several icicle lances were formed mid-air and were flung towards at great speeds.
*WHOOSH*
Like a speeding bullet, the staff with red jewel that was in mid-air flew towards his hands. As soon as it got hold of it, the jewel glowed a glimmering red, and a great magic circle emerged as if drawn on air.
*BOOM*
Flames much larger than before were shot out of the jewel at breakneck speed, destroying the icicle lances and shattering them into fragments.
Cecilia then threw another orb, and before it even struck the ground, it cracked and disintegrated without an explosion. However, right Gilbert a massive magic circle was formed almost immediately, but it was taking its time to fire.
Gilbert smirked, "This again huh? You know for a Worthington, you're quite dumb to think that what you did last time would work a second time!!" He said, as he then aimed all of his weapons up before it could cast that pressure spell again.
*BAM*
Gilbert was kicked in the balls; the force of which caused him to be lifted off the air for a few seconds. "OOHH~!!" He screamed.
"Forgot me!!"
As the man dropped down legs first, Ryutaro extended his foot once again; Gilbert's groin landed right on Ryutaro's shin.
*BAM*
"GOHO!!"
Gilbert keeled over, clutching his balls.
At this, Ryutaro then went through his jacket, seeing the keys as well as all the bars of metal that was within the multiple pockets that lined his inner coat. He was about to take them but...
Ryutaro felt a strong grasp on his arm, and there he saw Gilbert, grabbing his arm. "Why you little...!!"
He pulled his arm away, and...
*BAM*
He double hammer punched him in the balls.
"OOHOOOHOHHH~!"
Realizing that he put more force than he expected, Ryutaro recoiled back and cringed. "Sorry." From which he then took all the metallic bars, save for the Gold Ones, and flung them away. If what Cecilia said was true, and his source of magic was ingesting metal, then take that away and he's just a normal human.
Ryutaro stood up, looking towards Cecilia. "Thanks for the save!!" He said with a smile and a big thumbs up.
"As expected of me!" Cecilia responded, smirking proudly back at him.
From her bag, she then brought out what looked to be an Identity card and she pressed on it, from which a holographic screen suddenly appeared. The words – Calling Sir Gorfus – is mentioned on it, and in a few seconds, the screen switched, and a man in a knight's armor suddenly appeared on the opposite end of the screen.
Ryutaro's eyes were drawn to what was happening before him. It was nothing but mere digital communication like Skype or Zoom, but the magical aspect of it, brought Ryutaro's heart aflutter and his eyes sparked with brilliant joy. "Ooh~"
"Sir Gorfus? This is Cecilia Worthington. We've taken care of him."
"Excellent work again Miss Cecilia. Thank you once again."
"I'll set up a waypoint circle here then hand over the coordinates to you immediately."
"Thank you."
And the swift call ended. The holographic screen disappeared into thin air. At this, Cecilia walked down the somewhat damaged cruise ship, Rura stayed behind to watch over the girls, who sat down a little worse for wear.
And immediately, from her waist bag, she pulled out several jars out, most of which were filled with other things like liquids and dead leaves. Then, she pulled out a grinder.
Intrigued, both Ryutaro and Rura walked closer. Rura silently pointed at Cecilia, asking Ryutaro what was the problem but, Ryutaro shrugged. Even the girls slightly followed just behind, and they watch the whole process.
Starting with her grinding dried leaves, some powder, and then adding strange viscous liquids that made squelching sounds. She then grinded them all manually, placing with the right amount of force to mix them together as if she had done this many times before.
Cecilia turns towards them.
Ryutaro and everyone else immediately twisted around as well. Rura was whistling, and Ryutaro was pretending to swat away flies, whilst the girls continued on talking with one another.
Cecilia returned to what she was doing; Ryutaro, Rura and the girls looked back. Though their shuffling feet on the sand alerted Cecilia to what they were doing. She rolled her eyes, but continued what she was doing.
Ryutaro and everyone else watched as she continued grinding the multiple ingredients that she took out. Then afterwards, she took out a brush and a piece of yellowish paper that looked as if it had aged for over a hundred years as it had become extremely worn out.
She then started painting on said paper – first with the circles, then symbols, then lines. Little by little, they started forming into a magic circle. Ryutaro smiled, even as he had already seen magic being done, this was the first time, he was looking at a more detailed process of how magic was done.
It was quite different however, to what Gilbert did considering that his magic was vastly different, and Cecilia was casting spells instantly, so why now was she making a magic circle from scratch? At the interesting thought, Ryutaro felt the gears turning in his head and the glint in his eyes shown extremely bright.
Then, all of a sudden.
Several knights came in through warped space. The air rippled as if it was water, and out came knights in silver armor that reflected the light of the late afternoon sun.
Ryutaro's heart suddenly start beating ever so wildly, and he trembled in excitement. "Cool..."
Part 6
A strong gust of wind blew the surrounding sand and flipped the toupee of one of the silver knights as Cecilia's mana-suppressing binds were unlocked; Rura saw the toupee fly off and the knight's bald head reflected the light of the late afternoon sun – she turned back to Ryutaro, who was confused at the event.
"What was that?" He said, with a smile of interest.
"Mana by nature is a world altering energy. While the reason behind why it does it is still being studied, when mana is contained for too long, it often projects outwards explosively. It is actually the thing that gave me the idea to create my spell bombs several years ago, allows me to use a fraction of mana for a spell that is amplified twofold." Cecilia explained.
"Interesting." Ryutaro said, smiling and chuckling.
Magic Monsters, weird flying bladed weapons, spell bombs, and spatial warping. With everything settling down and his mind could think calmly, he had never thought that if he did die, he would've been sent into another world. Was it by chance? Would if he been sent here had he decided to kill himself earlier? Or was it that he ended up in this world precisely because he died at the moment he did? Regardless of it, he was in this world, and so far, it was about as exciting as it could get.
Looking at Ryutaro's face, Cecilia raised an eyebrow at the odd expression of happiness on Ryutaro's face. "What's so funny?"
"Nothing. All of this is just surreal. I've really done it. I'm here." Ryutaro answered happily.
"I don't know what you're saying but... good job?" Cecilia giggled. "Thank you by the way. I would've still been stuck there if it weren't for you." She followed up.
"No problem, but if you really want to thank me, maybe you could take me to this Magic Guild of yours."
"You beat me to it, I was actually going to ask you to come with me."
"Oh?"
"Our country has only one magic guild, that's in the capital city, St. Merlin's Guild Academy of Magic. All children born with mana enroll in there to study their magic, and when you graduate, you'll get a mage-related job. So you'll be covered all the way through. Besides, it looks like you've got nowhere to go anyway." Cecilia said.
"I can confidently say with absolute certainty that I literally have nowhere to go." Ryutaro responded with a puffed out chest.
"No, I don't think that's something that needs to be said with confidence."
Then, the same knight that unlocked Cecilia's handcuffs, came to him next.
"Finally." Ryutaro said.
He raised his shackled hands up, and as the knight placed his own hand above it, several magic circles appeared in order to unlock all of the magical layers that tried to suppress Ryutaro's mana.
♦
It didn't make sense. Cecilia did not know what to make of it. The mana suppression bindings do what they were supposed to do. It used a series of miniaturized magic circles to block the invisible pathways from the soul to the physical body, preventing mana from being utilized by the mage who was bound by it.
And yet... Mr. Ryutaro still could use it. There is a chance that it was slightly damaged, but it would be too much of a coincidence for it to happen today of all places. Too much of a coincidence.
However, Cecilia's eyes did not deceive her. She saw it. Below average as it was, he was using mana under the bindings of a mana suppression handcuff, and it slowly grew until it was averaged-level, then above average as the crack on the binding grew by every inch.
'But that's impossible, something like that would mean.'
It finally clicked. This wouldn't be the only reason, but if what she thought was true then. Ryutaro...
At that instant, Cecilia saw that the knight had finished. "No wait!!"The operational magic circles that hovered above the mana-suppression handcuffs disappeared, and the seals were unlocked. The handcuffs broke off.
*RUMBLE*
The ground shook; the clouds parted, the dense forest was rendered bare as they fell to the floor. Cecilia, Rura, and everyone else collapsed down to their knees, gasping for air. Her fingers trembled and her throat became dry. Everything around her distorted and she felt as if she was submerged within the deepest parts of the ocean and her skull was getting crushed by the pressure.
'This mana... it's too much...'
♦
In the nearest kingdom, the Kingdom of Allizar within St. Merlin Guild Academy of Magic where mages from all over the country train their innate gift of magic to help the nation with problems related to magic. All students, professors, and members suddenly had a tingle down their spine.
They all turned in the same direction, and they all simultaneously had a thought along this line. 'What is that?'
And a figure in the shadows of a certain room stood up, and he looked out of the balcony with wide eyes and a shocked smile. "Ryutaro?" He said with a trembling voice. He could feel it, and this mana signature, despite having never felt it before, he recognized it. It only belonged to him.
"Welcome to your new home." He smiled, muttering as if speaking to him directly.
♦
In other parts of the world, pillars of black, red, and purple erupted towards the heavens; scaring any nearby magical creatures.
Two eyeballs ripped out of their sockets and was sealed within some kind of altar began moving, a right arm that was not attached to the torso had its fingers twitch slightly, the chest of a torso without its head, arms, or legs that was partially emerging out of a rocky underground wall began pumping in and out as if breathing.
Far off in another part of the world, in an unknown location. A group of men and women who also felt that strong sense of mana were suddenly disturbed by another event that was happening right in their midst.
A burnt orange haired, athletic man, ran as quick as he could down the staircase. "Damon!! Damon!!" He yelled.
And when he reached down, he reeled his head back slightly at the smell of death. However, he soon pushed that thought down and looked on at the pale-skinned handsome athletic man with jewel-like eyes and auburn hair. He stood there before a magic circle that glimmered in purple, and next to him were two decaying corpses.
"Can't this wait, Hon-Sur? I'm quite busy here." A smooth and calm voice echoed throughout the room.
"The Dark Lord's heart, it's beating!"
The glimmering magic circle stopped, and he twisted his head towards him. His jewel eyes sparkled as if reflecting the light of the sun. "What? What?!"
He stood up, and immediately, they ran up the stairs and towards a room where they see the heart of the Dark Lord within a large container filled with a preservation liquid, beating as if it wasn't detached from its body, it was releasing dark mana like no other, turning the liquid into a bright purplish-pink.
"Our Lord's heart beats again at last." Damon said happily, his heart beating through the roof. The lord has responded at last.
"But Sir Damon, why now?"
"That mana. Oh, of course. That mana. Whoever's mana is that it must've reacted to the Dark Lord's existence."
"Finally, we will all be led to our promised land, just as the Oracle had said."
"No, not quite my friend. If the heart is beating, then the other body parts are functioning as well. Send the word. Our mission has begun."
"And the source of the mana."
"If that mana is so strong that it awakened our Lord, leave it be. It could be dangerous for our brothers and sisters, so we wait and play it safe. We wait until the Dark Lord has been revived. Only then, will she defeat it." Damon said, with a trembling voice.
As the man named Hon-Sur left, Damon kneeled before the Dark Lord's heart. "Mother. Welcome home." He said with a trembling voice. "The Dark Hand awaits your orders." He said, as he then prostrated down before the beating Dark Lord's Heart.

Back with Ryutaro.
He didn't know what to make of this. One second everyone was standing fine, but as soon as the handcuffs came off, it was like a storm plague just struck. Everyone fell to the ground shaking and gasping for air.
It was him.
Cecilia said that a short violent burst of mana would occur when the handcuffs came off, and so after a while, everything finally returned to normal. The sand that hovered around him fell back down to the ground, the gust of wind ceased, the ocean waves stopped heavily rippling, and the collapsed people around him had started to slowly get back up.
Everyone stood up, gasping and panting.
Ryutaro's heart suddenly felt heavy as he looked up at Cecilia, and his chest tightened. Are they going to hate him for this? Ryutaro then ran towards Cecilia, gently rubbing her shoulder as he looked at her in worry.
"Cecilia... I'm sorry I didn't know." Ryutaro's voice trembled worriedly.
"It's okay, I'm good. I didn't realize, you're mana was more intense up close than I originally thought."
Ryutaro then turned to Rura, and he saw her still coughing on the floor on all fours, and he ran towards her, rubbing her back. "Rura... come on hold on."
"I'm okay. I'm okay." She said in between pants.
"Rura, I..."
"It's okay. I know you didn't mean it." She said before he could complete his sentence, and she looked up at him with a gentle smile. Ryutaro smiled back, and the weight that momentarily landed on his heart was lifted. He gave out a relieved sigh.
"..."
※※※
Through rippled space and warped light, Ryutaro, Cecilia, and Rura walked into the Capital City of the Kingdom of Allizar through a large gate that could be considered the entrance to the Kingdom; and as soon as Ryutaro walked into the city, his eyes sparkled a brilliant enthusiasm.
"Ooh! This is a kingdom of another world." Looking around, the aesthetics were pretty much like what he expected. Well, not entirely. The buildings almost looked as if they belonged to the European Middle Ages. Like Rothenburg from Germany or Colmar from France.
"It's... it's... "
"Excuse me sir, you're blocking the way."
Ryutaro suddenly heard, he then twisted his head back to his right to see a man heading straight for the gateway too.
"Sorry."
Seeing this, Ryutaro took several steps back to let the man pass by. The man took out his bag, and out came baskets of a variety of fruits; the city warp gate operator inspected everything that was on it. "Heading to the Farmstein Fields again Ardwid?" He said.
"As I always do Sir Garter, someone's got to put some food on the table." He chuckled.
With that the operator of the warp gate, quickly placed his hands on said massive circular device, and as he did, he several small magic circles emerged, where he began operating on the warping destination point. "Alright, you're all ready to go."
With this, the man absorbed all of the baskets of produce into his bag once again and walked into the warp gate – the air rippled as if it were water.
Then, he saw an auburn-haired little boy lightly bumped into some guy by accident; another child, a girl with green eyes and auburn hair passed by him, bowing sorry due to her friend being reckless. Both held light pens that could draw in the air, leaving behind colored lines as if the air itself were paper and had a solid surface.
"MIthaly! Jomah! How many times have I told you two not to use these outside?!" Ryutaro suddenly heard, and then running past him again was possibly the two children's mother, she took the magic light pens away from the two kids and placed it in her handbag.
From said bag, she then pulled out a card that looked like her identity card, then suddenly, a holographic screen emerged, where she talked to a guy on the other end of the screen.
"It's surprisingly more technologically advanced than I expected."
"Of the 10 Major countries in the Astrea Continent, our country is technologically ahead by a few years due to the competency of our Magic Engineers. And of course, the leading researcher is a Worthington, my father." She smirked with her rather big chest pumped out and her fists on her waist.
"Is that so?" He said, continuing to look around.
It made sense to him. It appears that something similar to the modern technology of his world existed here as well, it was just that instead of it being powered by electricity, in here it seemed to be powered by magical energy, or some kind of magical force. Not to mention, the items looked a lot more mundane and less mechanical.
A pen that could draw in the air, and a card that also acts as a communication device. In his world, these would take a lot of technological research and advancement, the pen drawing in the air could partially be achieved via the 3d printing pen, but it wasn't like the one he saw where the air basically acted like a flat piece of paper.
'I guess this world is post-industrial rather than medieval. Not that I'm complaining, but I was thinking that maybe I could be the type of Isekai Protagonist that introduces modern technology to a world.'
It didn't help that looking around him, it looked as if all the clothing were a tad bit similar to those of modern clothing rather than medieval kinds of clothes.
Rura stretched. "Hyniu!! Ah~" She uttered out. "Well, I think I should get going."
"Try not to get involved in any shady businesses from now on alright?" Ryutaro said.
"Absolutely. I'm done with all that. From now on it's safe, legal work and my own mental power." She declared with a determined look.
"I hope things work well for you." Cecilia said.
"Thanks Cecilia. Oh by the way. Let's exchange numbers!" She suddenly said as she then took out her identity card and held it out. Her eyes shown childishly, as if happy to get another friend.
"Huh? S-sure..." Cecilia responded as she took out her identity card as well, and said cards then scanned each other. After which, a holographic text emerged from both cards, stating [[New Person Added]].
Ryutaro looked on impressed.
Rura then turned to Ryutaro, just as excited. "And uh... well, it doesn't look like you have one on you yet. Oh well you can ask Cecilia, and I know where you guys live. Oh crap that sounds creepy. I'm sorry. Wake up Rura! I...uh... " She stopped as soon as she saw Ryutaro and Cecilia looking at her with raised eyebrows.
She looked back with an awkward smile.
"Sure!" Ryutaro said, breaking the awkward tension.
At this, Rura then leaned in towards Ryutaro, planting a kiss onto his cheek and she pulled back with a blush painting her face.
"Oh?" Ryutaro muttered in confusion.
"If you feel like hanging out for dinner or anything. Call me." She cutely with a blushing coy smile and pose. Ryutaro gave a gentle smile of his own as he looked on at her. "I'll be sure too."
Rura giggled, suddenly seeming as if choking on her words. "Well... bye!" And she quickly sped away as fast as she could. But she tripped. "Wahh!!" She stood up, bowed to Ryutaro and Cecilia, and continued running.
"I feel like a girl like her is a rarity to come by." Ryutaro muttered to himself.
"Want to add her to your harem?" Cecilia then took out a small book from her waist bag, and slammed it onto Ryutaro's chest. "Start reading."
Ryutaro looked at the yellow-clad book titled — Basic Law on Harems. "Why do you have a book of law on harems?"
"Mother asked me to read it. You'll see it less with commoners, but it's a pretty normal practice among mages, and my mother said that at some point either I'll have my own band of men myself or I might just be the one in someone else's." She said with a smile of her own.
Ryutaro smirked as he then looked at the book, and already started taking a sneak peek at it. "Chapter 1 – Understanding a Harem. Alright." He said excitedly, but then he closed the book. "But before that..."
"Hmm? What's wrong? Not getting cold feet are we?"
"Yes, it's exactly that. My feet are cold and dirty considering they're bare, but that also includes the rest of my torso and the hole in my pants giving my junior and ass a nice breeze." Ryutaro said, and she looked down at him to see that his pants has been ripped right down the middle.
"Oh." She said, looking back at him.
"Could you perhaps spot me some cash for clothes? Rags are alright too."
Later on...
.
.
.
"OHHHHHH~!!" Ryutaro (now clothed in a simple plain orange shirt, blue shorts, and brown shoes) screamed as he stood at the entrance to the Magic District of the Royal Capital, a town of magic where mages all over the Allizar Country are gathered.
He frantically looked around, his voice threatening to yell even louder in excitement. He wished he had multiple eyes or a surround field of vision as he looked at everything that was going on around him.
From the group of friends that looked like a party of adventures with their magical equipment, to the girl with her reverse harem who looked as if they came straight out of the Harry Potter Books with their uniforms being that of a blue and white cloak over a black long-sleeved polo button-up shirt, accompanied by black pants and boots, gray vest and a dark blue tie.
Ryutaro faced forward, and he saw a bustling crowd of mages, walking in and out of the grand campus. Some, with books in hand. Others, younger mages playing this magic handball that Ryutaro couldn't tell was happening, clearly the jocks of the school.
"Ohh~ Ohh~! OHHH~!" Ryutaro said excitedly with glimmering eyes – The City of Magic, and Ryutaro will be living in it from now on. "WAHOOOO!!" He jumped up in the air, his yelling drawing attention of other mages that were in the area towards him.
"That's quite an exaggerated response, don't you think?!" Cecilia responded back loudly in confusion.
"No. No, I don't think so." Ryutaro responded. His head constantly moved left and right, unable to stay in one spot even as they continued walking.
Then, they passed by a river that split two different roads, the water sparkled under the orange sunlight. And soon, they made their way to their destination – St. Merlin's Guild Academy of Magic. A space much larger than a university campus.
And at the center of it all, was St. Merlin's Guild Academy of Magic; and it was a massive, monumental building with numerous entrances and windows lining the exterior. It was almost like a castle, and it was definitely far bigger than even a mansion. The entrance door itself are probably around 11ft tall.
"OHHHHHHHH~!!" Ryutaro was unable to hold back his inner child from making strange gasping noises. "It's like a mini-town!!" He yelled.
"It's called St Merlin's Guild Academy, but really, it's the central magic guild of all of Allizar. Every occupation that utilizes magic is based in this area." Cecilia explained.
"Like that for example." Cecilia points towards a tall building, where Ryutaro could hear a bustling crowd of drunkards, and at a closer look, he could see that they were clothed in armor, robes, or were equipped with a variety of items. "That's the Hunters Department, they work with the Knights to solve severe problems related to heavy magic or collect raw materials for the other divisions."
She then points towards another building. "That one is for the Engineering Department, where students are trained to craft magical tools for quality of life or magical equipment for the Hunters. My spell bombs come from there in fact. Much better than when I made them myself."
Cecilia turned towards Ryutaro and watched as he stood there in shock, mouth hanging as if he had a broken jaw. At this, Cecilia approached him placed her hand underneath his chin and pushed it back up, closing his jaw.
"Come on, we still have a lot to do before things are settled." Cecilia said as she walked ahead, and Ryutaro who managed to slightly recover from his amazement, nodded a dazed, "Yeah.", and walked behind her.
And they walked towards the central building and through the great pair of double bronze doors that looked as if it was a door for a troll, they reached the main lobby. A long reception booth lined the back of the spacious room, and the receptionists were behind glass windows like something one would see from banks. Along the sides of the room were benches for mages who were waiting for the receptionists at the front.
They walked to towards a free receptionist. It is there that a blonde girl, cladded in a green and brown themed women's uniform, looked up towards them and immediately she noticed Cecilia.
"Lady Worthington, how was your mission?" Sweet and formal was her voice as she asked.
"I ran into some problems... and..." She side-eyed Ryutaro for a bit. "...picked up an odd stray, but nothing too severe happened." She explained.
"Oh." The blonde girl said as she looked past Cecilia and towards Ryutaro, and said Japanese boy did a slight bow towards her as a hello. The blonde receptionist bowed back in response.
"And what about him?" She then asked.
"Supposed name, Okazaki Ryutaro. Found him with no documents or identity card, much less any clothes on, so I'm going to take him to Professor Sally for identification via memory extraction." Cecilia responded as if reporting, to which the guards immediately nodded, seemingly knowing that's for the better.
Ryutaro suddenly raised his eyebrows in confusion. As much as he loved the concept of memory reading as a magic, it certainly does feel a little uncomfortable. Of course, anyone would get uncomfortable if someone had the ability to peek into someone else's mind, the secrets of a person they'd find, the most embarrassing things, or even, the memories that a person wants to have locked away forever.
And this seemed to show on his face, as Cecilia quickly spotted it.
"Umm... sorry in advanced. It's kind of necessary for John Does like you with no documents to prove your identity, but don't worry. The Magic Council strictly prohibits extracting unnecessary memories." She explained.
"Oh! I see. Well..." He gulped. "...good to know."
"Thanks." She then turned back to the receptionist. "Anyways, could you request for him please?."
"Understood." With that, a hologram suddenly emerged before her and she started talking to the person opposite to it. Then as soon as she was done, she nodded to Cecilia. "Professor Sally is waiting for you."
"Let's go." Cecilia then said to Ryutaro, to which he nodded.
And with that, Ryutaro followed Cecilia to a pair of slidable doors in the wall. Cecilia placed her hand on said doors, from which mini-magical circles manifested just as it did the previous times. And as soon as the mini-magic circles disappeared, the sliding doors open, and Cecilia walked. She disappeared into rippled air.
"Teleportation replaces escalators, makes sense." Ryutaro muttered to himself with a smile, and he walked in.
...
Walking to another floor of the academy building, Ryutaro then found himself in a large lobby. Multiple students with the same Harry Potter-esque school uniform walked here and there; to his right, he saw one student with two women hanging on each arm.
A smile made its way to his face.
Walking past a couple other rooms, and moving up flights of stairs, they soon made it to an office room. Opposite to the door was a large window that allowed one to see the city, in between the room and the door was a wooden desk and a person was sitting on a chair behind said desk and reading a newspaper.
Cecilia said as she knocked on the door.
"Oh my. Oh my. Madam Cecilia. Is this the boy I was told about? Cutie, this one." He spoke as he placed down the newspaper and crossed his legs as if he were a woman. At the same, despite being a guy, this person seemed like he was exuding some form of femininity with his gestures and movements. The way he spoke had a tone of a 'Big-Sister Figure'.
'Why... does this man sound like a step-sister whose ready to flirt with her younger brother?' He thought to himself as he gulped.
As someone who had never really experienced these type of people ever, he was slightly troubled. Nonetheless he realized how rude it might be to suddenly show some sort of reaction so he kept a straight face.
"This is , Professor of Ritual Magic and Senior Guild Member."
"O-oh. Pleasure to meet you, um..." How should he refer to him... ur ...her... Ryutaro is getting confused.
"Please, just call me Sally."
"Oh, okay. Nice to meet you Professor... Sally." Ryutaro greeted as he bowed his head.
Looking at the man named Sally, was a tall and lanky with long black hair with magenta highlights styled into an undercut and has long bangs reaching up to his chin and covering the right side of his face. His clothing were, rather flamboyant to say the least. Magenta pants with sharp-tipped purple shoes, black and orange checkered jacket with no shirt underneath, a bright yellow scarf, and purple-tinted black colored nails.
This was definitely something beyond Ryutaro's experiences and he felt uncomfortable, still, he kept a straight face, knowing that he'll probably get used to it if he sees him every day.
"Well then, follow me." Sally said as he stood up from his seat and walked towards a door on the left side of his office. They entered through it and Ryutaro saw the memory extraction room.
It was a blank room with only a single light in the ceiling; a massive magical circle was on the floor. It was adorned with runes and smaller circles, curved lines that twisted in and out to form a pattern, and drawn from the outer layer to the inside were what looked to be circuit lines; the circle itself was made up of tinier symbols.
However, the magic circle itself was but a part of the setup. The walls, the doors, and the windows, were all lined with magic symbols, runes and other smaller magic circles, and while he it certainly made the room look a little messier, at this, he looked on in wonder at the mystical setup.
"Now then, time to look inside and see all those filthy memories you got locked up in there." Sally teased as he leaned closer and whispered into Ryutaro's ear sensually. It was almost as if he was aroused by the idea of peering into someone's inner secrets and memories.
This made Ryutaro uncomfortable, and a shiver went down his spine.
"S-sally..." She meekly said with flailing arms and an embarrassed blush on her face.
Sally pulled back, again he giggled as if he were this 'Big Sister' type of girl. "Don't worry boy. I'm not going to peer into any unwanted memories, less I get my arrested."
"With that out of the way, if you would please sit down at the center of the circle please?" Sally instructed.
And Ryutaro did as he was told, he sat down at the center of the magic circle, when suddenly Sally moved him slightly to the right, then slightly to the left, as if he was micromanaging the position in which he needed the person to sit on.
After which a piece of paper was placed in front of Ryutaro.
Then, from behind him. Sally placed a finger on the magic circle and poured his mana into it. Then, the magic circle and all the surrounding runes and magic symbols glimmered with white light. Ryutaro looked around him in amazement. "Wo-woah~"
"The next part is going to feel a little strange, but I'll need you to endure it, okay dear?"
Then Sally placed a palm on Ryutaro's head, then...
*WHOOSH*
...suddenly, it was like his consciousness was fading. His head was going blank, the feeling of his memories being pushed out was a foreign and indescribable feeling. His eyes rolled back as his memories were extracted out of his body.
♦
The Memory Extraction Spell, a spell developed to allow law enforcers to deal with crime within the country much better by allowing them to view a crime from a witness' or victims perspective, essentially turning anyone into a security camera. So long as someone had seen the crime, the state of the crime scene, or had seen a criminal's face, then there will always be a lead.
Still, with such an intrusive spell, there was no doubt that the Magic Council of the king would place limits on this spell; to protect the privacy of the citizens of Allizar as well as prevent any unwanted or unnecessary memory extractions.
Right now however, a much lesser version of the spell is being used. After all, the goal is not to look into his mind for crime and anything else, rather it is to confirm Ryutaro's identity as he has no personal records. Despite that, both Sally and Cecilia knew that they had to thread carefully.
The instant Sally firmly grabbed onto Ryutaro's head and the spell was casted, Ryutaro went into a trance and his memories were extracted as files. Though not physical files that can be held, but more so holographic floating files that were projected by the magic circle; and they were revolving around Ryutaro's body like planets to the sun.
"Now then."
Sally then took out a chalk and began writing commands onto the glowing magic circle as magic symbols and runes. The commands vanish and integrate itself into the magic circle, from which the magic circle began searching Ryutaro's memories for his identity. Should there be any memory alteration then the magic circle will notify Sally immediately.
There was fortunately, no such alterations, as the process went smoothly and Ryutaro's identity information was being written on the paper before him, then Sally stopped supplying mana to the magic circle, ending the spell the instant they got the information they needed.
Afterwards, Ryutaro's consciousness came back; and he gasped for air.
"WHAT THE HELL?!!" He screamed whilst panting hard. "That was cool, yet scary, but still very cool, but it was also scary, no but it's cool too!!" Ryutaro then said indecisively.
"Pick one already!!" Cecilia yelled in frustration, from which she gave out a deep sigh; then picked up the paper that was in front of Ryutaro and she read it. "Okazaki Ryutaro. Age 18. Birthday, September 9. Blood Type, AB. Father, Okazaki Shinichi. Mother. Okazaki Kyoko. Status: Healthy. Race: Human (Mage)."
"Wow, they got everything right." Ryutaro said. "And nothing about me masturbating either." He continued
"Oh, can you not?" Cecilia yelled back. Ryutaro chuckled mischievously as a result.
He, however, also gave out a deep sigh.
Still, it was good thing that not all of his memories have been touched. He wouldn't what he would've done had he been discovered to be from another world. Would he suddenly be sent for research? Would he be isolated from everyone else? Would people hate him again? There were so many things that could go wrong that Ryutaro was glad that they really didn't go that far down.
"Well, everything seems to be alright. Now, we'll just get you your identity card and I'll help you enroll into the academy."
"Do stop by my office whenever you want. I'll be waiting~" Professor Sally then said, to which, Ryutaro could not help but feel a shiver go down his spine, but kept a straight face.
'Don't be rude. Don't be rude. Don't be rude.' He repeated to himself multiple times.
'Maybe when I'm more used to you.' Ryutaro thought.
With Ryutaro's identity officially confirmed, he and Cecilia said their goodbyes to Sally, who wished him luck in his own very distinctive... special... way, and they soon returned to the main lobby.
...
Within a branch building of the Magic Councilors that are in charge of managing laws surrounding magic, Ryutaro was now getting his personal identity card.
"Please place your hand atop the magic circle and the black card palm side down please?" Spoke the receptionist who was processing Ryutaro's identity card.
Ryutaro followed as instructed, and placed his hand on top of the mini magic circle that was carved into the desk of the receptionist. On top of the magic circle and between it and Ryutaro's palm was a black card. The receptionist poured her mana into the magic circle – it glimmered a bluish white – and then it was complete.
"The process is complete, you can take your palm off it now." The receptionist said, much to Ryutaro's surprise on how quickly it was done.
Back in his world, it would take around a month or so to get an individual card similar to this, only here it took a few seconds, not even a minute had passed. When he took out his hand, he was amazed at how instantly the identity card was created; everything was there already, even a picture of him which was never even taken.
"Please double check if the given information is correct." She then said, from which Ryutaro took a look at his new identity card. From the back, it contained the emblem of the Allizar Kingdom just like the one on the floor, which was a crowned lion standing tall with dragons surrounding it as if worshipping it.

.
He then noticed the money label. 'What's this?' He thought.
Why would a person's identity card show their money? Or is it showing their income? While it isn't really right to talk about income or a person's salary back in his world, and frankly, a little rude, this was a different world, maybe they have a different custom here.
Then, he noticed that besides the ID Code, that in brackets it mentioned to call friends. Now, he was curious. He wanted to know and needed to ask about what was all this. "Um... excuse me miss?" And so he did.
"Yes sir? Any problem?"
"No problem with the information, but what is this money label for?" Ryutaro asked as he points towards the said section.
"So, the identity card is not only a document for identity verification, but it is also a multi-purpose card that is necessary for services and jobs around the country. For example, if you want to borrow a book from the library or clock in at work, you present your ID so that the code can be scanned and add you to their records." The receptionist explained.
"I see."
"The money label you've asked earlier is an indicator of how much rien you deposited into your personal bank account. When you do deposit rien in the bank, you can then use your identity card to purchase items or services without needing to withdraw money back. Quite convenient isn't it?" Cecilia then explained.
"Yeah, very convenient indeed. Better make sure no one tries to steal it." He responded.
"Then finally, it acts as a communicator that allows you to message and call your friends, you can do audio calls or face calls. To add others to your card friend record, just scan their ID code and then you can talk to them no matter where you are." The receptionist finished explaining. "Is there anything you don't understand?"
"Nope, I got everything. Thank you." Ryutaro said.
Ryutaro walked back to Cecilia, and as he did so, he saw someone talking to Cecilia. He leaned in close to her ear, whispering something, and said girl's face was of one of dead seriousness. Even as the guy left, the look of worry still remained on her face.
"What was that all about?" Ryutaro asked, worried.
" Something rather concerning came up, but it's nothing for you to worry about though."
"You sure? Maybe I can help?"
"The gesture's enough, but its family business so really, it's fine. You just focus on the getting settled. I've already asked someone to guide you to your dorm room."
"Alright then. Well, don't let me take your time." Ryutaro said.
"See you around." Cecilia then said as she turns around hurriedly. Her feet shuffled and she was about to accelerate towards the teleporter when suddenly, "Cecilia!" He called out; she twisted her head towards him.
"Yes?"
He bowed. "Thank you, for bringing me here!"
Cecilia smiled back. "Your welcome. I'll be seeing you again, Ryutaro."
"Yes ma'am!!" He jokingly saluted and Cecilia giggled as she walked away.
And then, it suddenly felt lonely. One moment she was standing there, the next moment she was not. It's funny how one person leaving can suddenly change how one feels. It was then that he suddenly remembered about the friend function of his ID Card, and he immediately twisted his head to call Cecilia back.
"Oh yeah, I forgot. Cecilia!! I..." However, as he did, she had already left through the teleportation gate. "...and I guess there's still a next time." He told himself, from which he sat down by the benches, waiting.
And he stared out the window.
It truly was surreal. He really has made it to another world. A new life. A second chance of life was given to him. He will not waste it.
'This time, I'll do things right.' He thought to himself.
※※※
A mansion, large and decorated. Cecilia stood within this great household of nobility showered in golden light, in a room that was made almost as if replicating the throne room of the King itself; and there, sitting before her cross-legged was Rowena Worthington, the Matriarch of the Worthington Family that succeeded after her father.
"Cecilia... I heard that you had help on your mission today. Disappointing."
"Apologies mother, but I didn't expect–"
"Didn't expect? Cecilia, Gilbert Notleigh was a third rate mage and dumb man, it would've taken much less time to stop him if I had sent your brothers instead of you." She said.
Cecilia's gaze dropped and her fists shook in frustration. She remained silent before her mother who she could feel was looking down at her. "Did you at least get what I asked of you?" She then asked.
"Yes mother. They're all inside my bag now."
"Take them out."
At this, Cecilia then unzipped her waist bag, and released all the illegal magical items that was taken. Rowena walked down her 'throne', and inspected the piles of magical items that was taken. Slow footsteps echoed through the room, and Cecilia felt as if the air at which she stood was heavy.
"Hmm."
Rowena walked towards a box nearby her throne that she kept nearby, having heard that Cecilia finished her mission. She pulled out a storage crystal with the emblem of the Worthington on it – she twisted her body and aimed the crystal at the weapons; the crystal glowed.
*WHOOSH*
And all of the magical items hovered for a bit, then rushed forward to the crustal – and it was absorbed into it. After which, she placed the crystal back in the box, then walked towards the mini-teleporter that was also in the room, placing the box within, and sending it to somewhere.
"I also heard that you came in here with a rather interesting boy. Was it him? The one who shook the mages around the country."
"It's him."
"Hmm. Watch his progress and report to me. I'm sure he would be a great asset to our family."
Cecilia looked up. "Mother, let's not bring him into–"
Suddenly, Rowena turned towards Cecilia, and her mana flared out heavily.
*RUMBLE*
Suddenly, Cecilia could feel her breath leaving her body, her fingers trembled, sweat dribbled down her face, her face turned red. She panted, losing air. Her skin suddenly felt dryer than usual. "Forgive me, mother... I'll request to be his partner immediately." She said.
"Good girl. Now, if you still want a chance the succession ceremony of the family crest, then you will do this for me. Understand?"
"Yes mother."
Suddenly, Cecilia heard the door opened, to see four men walk in. Tall, strong, and adorned in noble clothing. Rowena looked at them as well, and a sultry smile made its way onto her face. "Run along now, your daddies needs some loving." She then said as she sat back at her throne, calling the four men towards her with a finger gesture.
Knowing where this is going, Cecilia turned towards the four men. "Fathers." She bowed.
That's right, these four men were her fathers. One was her true father, and the other three are the fathers of her three half-brothers.
Cecilia walked into the teleporter with narrowed eyes. She could hear the moaning sounds of her mother and the groans of her four fathers.
