"Do you see that?" A young girl was talking to her friends and pointing her finger at a corner of the marketplace.

"Ye, what the hell is wrong with the guards? They should throw that beggar back into the slums..Looking for disciples ha! What does he want to teach? Being poor?" A boy of the group said arrogantly to the others.

Everybody in their group nodded except the young girl who was the one to point at the beggar. Her eyes weren't on the man, it was on the sign which was standing beside him. The words were so perfectly written that she didn't believe for one second that it was him who wrote it.

Her mother was dabbling in calligraphy while she didn't have to anything from time to time. She told her it was to calm her mind and if done correctly it could even boost her energy flow for cultivating. That was the reason she was so stumped, somebody who could write so beautiful would be in a high realm of calligraphy!

When she wanted to walk towards the man and question him did the boy speak again.

"Let's go! The Phoenix Sects recruitment beginns in an hour. After today, this daddy will be someone of high status! Hahahahha."

The group made their way towards the testing ground leaving the crowd on the marketplace behind them. Only the girl took one last glance at the sign and at the beggar before shaking her head.

The beggar in question, Elor, looked at the girl's back with some curiosity. "Ehh, not bad, thats one rare vein. If she had the right cultivation methods she should be able to reach the High Immortal realm easily. Uhhhh, can't force people. To think though that this was the Lower World... With this much energy it should be easy for people to reach the Immortal Realm, why aren't they?"

After Elor was 'chased' away by the guards of the Dion family did he wander the streets and listen to the people talk. It was mostly about the Phoenix Sect but because of that the people also talked about the Big 5.

The Big 5 were the strongest known groups of this world. The Dragon Empire, the ruler of this continent.

The Black Flame Sect, the overlord of the Fire Wood Continent.

The Beast Union, which was an agglomeration of different beastkin tribes on the Beast Continent.

The Shadow Organization and the Theocracy of God on the Apex Continent. Both fighting for supremacy of it since hundred of years.

What made Elor speechless was why they were the strongest. Half Step Immortals, or like he would say peak Ascencion beings. Several Ascencion realm stage cultivators with hundreds or thousands of Transformation realm ones.

Yes, it seemed that no being in this world did overcome their Immortal tribulation in the past years. Even the last time it did happen was already longer than a mortals lifespan.

When Elor finally pieced this informations together he almost dropped to the ground. Wouldn't that mean that his two eels were apex beings? They both stepped into the 9th stage of Ascencion through his training.

He didn't know anything else to do than make a sign and wait where many people were. He hadn't the slighest interest in looking for disciples himself anymore. If fate wants, he would get one.

Meanwhile on the testing ground of the Phoenix Sect was a turmoil. The arrogant boy which was in the group with the ones who saw Elor was getting his results.

"Fire Veins! Our Phoenix Sect has finally found someone with Fire Veins again! Go get the Sect Master here fast!" A core disciple which was tasked with testing the aptitude and veins of the participants was overjoyed. He would get many ressources for finding this one!

When the surroundings heard this they all flipped out. It wasn't common to have veins with a pure elemental attribute. Most people would have so called 'clear' veins. Meaning that they don't have any speciality.

Those who had ones with an attribute were mostly things in the lower region. As example, yang attributed veins could be divided into.

Ash, Ember, Flame, Fire and finally Yang veins. The purer and faster the element could flow the higher the ranking.

Most people had stars in their eyes when they looked at the young man, that person will probably reach a high Ascencion realm one day!

In the crowd was Lour, looking at the boy with some resentment. Why couldn't he have any elemental veins?! He had clear ones, because of that he wasn't even accepted as a outer disciple! Even if his cultivation stage was among the highest here, they just told him to piss of!!

"Young Master.. let's just go. One day you will reach a height that these folks only can dream about! Don't let anger guide you!" Par was looking at Lour with sadness. Why was her young master a non-elemental.

"I want to wait and see their sect master. I have to see what a peak Transformation realm looks like!" It wasn't the whole truth, he wanted to read the energy of someone at that realm. He wanted to know!

Par could only sigh when she saw her young master that stubborn. What could she do beside wait with him though?

It didn't take long for the Phoenix Sect Master to come stepping down from the air what an entrance! Most have never seen someone walking in the air.

The core disciple and many others immediately bowed and shouted." Greetings to the Sect Master!" With a wave of his hand he made the crowd be quiet before looking at the boy with fire veins.

After several seconds he began to laugh. " Good good! Very good! Boy become my personal disciple and I can assure you that in this lifetime you will overcome me!" When the crowd heard this they immediately were going wild.

The boy in question had a shocked look at first before bowing. "Disciple greets Master!" Who wouldn't want to become the personal disciple of a big shot?

The sect master nodded and began to speak again. "Come with me, I will personaly arrange the things for you!" Before he could turn around did he saw some relucance in his new disciples eyes which made him puzzled.

"Is something wrong disciple? Tell your master and I will look what I can do." The boy looked at his new master in the eyes before turning around towards the group he came with.

"This girl over there has only clear veins so she couldn't join the sect. Could master arrange for it? I...I want to take her as my dao partner!"

The Phoenix Sect sect master gazed at the girl before staying silent for some time.

"Well...this sisn't a hard request but are you sure?" It wasn't like he didn't know what love is but a dragon wanted to have a street cat as a dao partner?

Before the boy could answer did the girl, which happend to be the one who was gazing at Elor's sign before.

"Theo!!! What do you mean by that?! I'm not your thing! I am grateful for your....feelings and that you ask Pheonix Sect Sect Master for this but who said I want to become your dao partner?!?" The girl almost blew her head of from anger. As if she didn't knew that the boy before her just lusted after her body! During their trip together he tried many approaches!

When the crowd heard her words it indtantly became quiet. Was she dumb? This was an olive branch!!

Theo's face became red from anger, the sect masters face also had a frown on it. Would his new disciple get shamed before him?

Theo looked at the girl before yelling out " Bitch! Why the hell do you think i let you lowly peasant travel with us? Even a blind chicken can see that you will not make it far in cultivation, you don't want to accept my offer? Very well! Go to that freaking beggar and become his disciple! There you can learn how to live on the streets where you belong!--"

"Enough disciple! It's not worth over a little girl who you only met some time ago! When you see the fairies of our sect and the others, you will instantly know that she isn't worth anything! Now come. As for her, guide her out of the premise!!" The Sect Master had to intervene. It seemed that his disciple was a bit foul tongued... It wouldn't be a problem if he was already strong but he still was in the Body Forging realm.

As for the girl? Yes, she was a tad bit more beautiful but who didn't see beauty in this world?

Before the guard disciple could take her away she stomped her feet and looked at the others from the group and the guard. "I can walk myself! I hope you all know now that it wasn't worth to suck up to him!!" With big strides did she walk towards the gates.

Onle the one other girl in the group watched her back with some melancholy. "Big Sis Nadia...."

After everything calmed down did the test restart, nobody saw that after the Theo and the Sect Master left did two people in the crowed too.

"Young Master, why would you want to search for the beggar we met this morning?" Par was puzzled by the command of Luor.

Luor was silent, only he knew why he did want to. That gourd...why had that gourd have a stronger presence of energy than someone in the Transformation realm!??!
