"Okay. So, do we need to buy more?" Lucas asked after settling Felicity's question.

"For the meantime, no. You still need to embed this technique into your foundation, so buying other things will be useless because this will be our focus." Felicity said.

Lucas softly smiled then nodded. "Thank you, Felicity."

Felicity, hearing it, was just speechless and dumbfounded. She wasn't expecting any gratitude from Lucas. It was too sudden for her and she didn't know how to react, as if there was something wrong with her.

'He's just thanking me!' she cried inwardly to calm herself.

"W-Well… You don't have to worry about it. I'm just standing on my words." She reluctantly said, with awkward confidence, trying to boost herself.

Lucas didn't respond but only expressed a sincere smile before going to the cashier.

Felicity breathed calmly then followed Lucas to the counter.

Lucas bought the martial technique with the money that Arthur gave him as a gesture of gratitude. After that, they left the shop and stopped at a spot on the side of the city where they talked about what they should do next.

"This makes me feel like I'm a dependent child," Lucas mumbled before sitting in a plant box near the city walls.

"Well, it's understandable too since I don't have enough knowledge." he continued before Felicity could react.

"If you are wondering where we should go next, try to get a grasp of the technique we bought," Felicity suggested.

"Question, where should I practice it?" Lucas asked.

Felicity didn't respond and activated her Celestial Senses. Having a connection with the Qi in the surrounding area, she saw the surrounding 10,000 km radius.

For a moment, she remained silent while inspecting the area. Then, she took a halt and looked at Lucas.

"We should go to the Mountain Temple. It's a mountain with flat land on top. It will be a good place for you to train." Felicity said.

Even though Lucas felt aimless at the moment, he just shrugged it off and stood up with a smile on his face. He tried to recall his purpose and why he had cultivated in the first place, feeling a little empty at the time.

It wasn't because of a thirst for power. In fact, he was content with magic even though this world lacked mana for him to recover from.

If only he hadn't felt the urge to live with other immortals, he certainly wouldn't have cultivated just to ascend to the upper heavens. After some thought, Lucas stood up with an enthusiastic expression on his face like he was just refreshed.

"Felicity. Let's go! I'm going to practice this martial technique." he said.

Felicity didn't reply and just nodded before flying away. Lucas also followed her flying, forgetting that they were both lying low at the moment.

When people saw a flying human figure in the sky, they were filled with admiration. It wasn't their first time seeing one, but it was as if it was their first one.

Every cultivator wishes to fly. Who wouldn't like to fly? It was like a childhood dream being fulfilled if a cultivator could fly. In fact, it was the number one aim of cultivators before becoming immortal, since being immortal takes time to attain.

Meanwhile, Felicity and Lucas flew for almost 2 hours straight. They passed different cities, forests, mountains, and lakes. Going to the southern part of the eastern region where the Mountain Temple is located.

"Do you think that there will be no people there?" Lucas asked.

Felicity silently looked at him from her eyes' corners. "There's no one there. It takes months to go there and it's away from settlements."

"I see… Then I can have privacy then, " he added.

"It won't be actually privacy. We still need to ask permission from a specific person since it has an owner."

"Really? If so, why did you choose that place?" Lucas asked.

Felicity tried to remember the reason why she chose it. However, instead of replying to Lucas, her lips quiver when she remembers a certain memory from her training days.

"It's because… I am hoping to see a remnant of my friend back in my training days. It was a place they owned, so I chose it." she said with her head lowered and slightly slowing down her speed.

When Lucas noticed it, he initially stopped and approached her. "I don't know what happened, but if your decision made you sad, I'm sorry," he said while trying to comfort Felicity.

"No, it's okay. Let's continue," she said before going back to moving.

Lucas didn't follow her immediately and left with a pitying expression.

'I guess I'll have to do great for her.' he thought before following Felicity's movement.

A few minutes later, a large mountain started to emerge from Lucas's eyes. It was surrounded by rock formations almost as tall as the mountain that appeared that almost reach the skies. Clouds started to become common as they got nearer to the mountain, where the peak can't be seen.

Lucas was captivated when he saw the majestic few mountains surrounded by skyscraper-like rock formations.

As Felicity slowly ascended her position, Lucas saw the flat land and the peak of the mountain behind her.

There was also a pavilion on the flat land, and he could just wonder how a building could survive in this high-altitude place. If something is questionable, how could a person survive here since the temple looks like it's been maintained since its foundation?

A short smile emerged from Felicity's lips but it was cut when she felt a hostile aura coming from the mountain.

She didn't make a landing on the pavilion and paused Lucas since she wasn't comfortable with the aura.

"Wait a moment, Lucas. There's something wrong with this place. Can you listen to my selfish request?" Felicity asked after activating her Celestial Senses.

"Hm…? I'm all ears." Lucas nonchalantly said, while his eyes were on the pavilion.

"I think there's someone in this pavilion. It appears to be not friendly with other cultivators," she said.

"I get it. So, what are you going to do?"

Felicity took a moment of silence before revealing her thoughts.

"I want to go first. Please don't follow me." Felicity said, her words hesitating to be spoken.

Lucas noticed that she was shamefaced, thus, he just sighed with his eyes closed.

"Go. I'm not against it." he briefly said, then he created a platform in the air to sit on.

Felicity didn't look surprised because she was focused on the pavilion.

"Thank you. I will be back after I settle this," she said before descending to the pavilion.

However, she was intervened by barriers made from a formation. It was also created by a profound Array Master because the symbol was above the standard of this world.

But the formation didn't stop Felicity. She swiped her sleeve and created a ripple effect, destroying the formation.

Cracking sounds emerged as the barrier started to disappear. Felicity just stood confidently and destroyed every layer of the barrier.

After breaking few barriers, she finally took a landing.

"This is nostalgic." the first phrase that came from Felicity's lips when she finally set her foot outside the pavilion.

The peak of the mountain was wide and flattened, with only one outstanding pavilion on top.

"However, I can't remember an expert within her family since she said it with her own mouth that her family was cursed.. It makes no sense if they were able to produce a strong cultivator," she mumbled after going back to her first purpose of landing.
