"I will try to talk with that sect, and if they want to fight, I will let them attack me and I won't do anything."
From what Lucas said, Thomas staggered.
"Why would you do that, Senior Lucas?" Thomas asked in a worried tone.
"For someone to listen to you, you must be sincere. And I am. Also, I can understand why he acted that way. Answer me, was it true that you planned on killing his son?" Lucas asked.
Thomas jolted and denied Lucas's words.
"Why would we? We won't even benefit from killing his son. And also, he was higher in cultivation than I was, so if it was true, it would only be suicide."
"I see... Then I will be going."
Lucas was about to leave the room when he realized he had forgotten something and turned back to Thomas.
He sighed and opened his palm towards Thomas. As Thomas only looked at Lucas with a clueless expression, he was surprised in the next few seconds as his body started glowing in green and became lighter and more comfortable.
'He is healing me?'
After Lucas healed Thomas's condition, Thomas immediately climbed down from his bed and kowtowed in front of Lucas.
"Thank you very much, Senior Lucas!"
Lucas just nodded.
"If you are grateful, be sure to not mess with other people. You'll realize it as you get older." Lucas merely said, then finally left the room.
Lucas wasn't actually afraid of making enemies, but what he was afraid of was that there would be people affected if he made enemies with other people.
At least in his previous world, it was like that in his first few years as an immortal. But a few years later, he came to realize that having a relationship with mortals wasn't a good decision, and so he just let them flow with the river of time.
Lucas also thought that and said it to Thomas with the intention of warning him as a leader.
The people under his sect aren't his property after all, and so he wanted to leave a lesson for him.
The representative was still at his back, following him, and because he was slightly bothered by having a stranger at his back, he asked for the representative's name.
"What's your name?"
"Kin Yang, Senior Expert."
Lucas simply went back into deep thought, attempting to predict what would happen if he went there in the Heavenly Demon Sect.
Since he doesn't know how they act, he was left with a blank and just put some temporarily with the nature of cultivators.
"Where is the location of their sect?" Lucas asked, but Kin just stuttered as if he hadn't attended to Lucas's questions.
"S-Sorry?"
"Where is the location of the Heavenly Demon Sect?" Lucas asked once again.
"It is near the Great Cliff in the eastern part of the northern region."
"I see."
'I am currently in the northern region. So it means if I want to revisit Morning Sun, I must know how to go to the eastern region.'
As Lucas's situations weren't really that heavy and easy to slip into, he was thinking of what he should do in the future.
Organizing his thoughts, he decided that before he wanted to go to the Immortal Heaven, he must build specific strengths he needed to survive in that place.
Technically, if he goes there as a green cultivator, he'll eventually die immediately as his immortality will be flattened if he dies from an extreme hit of energy.
He couldn't only die in the previous world because no one can achieve that feat. And, because someone in the Immortal Heaven might be able to kill him, he wanted to know how to survive as an immortal.
'Why would I go there if it's basically a dangerous place? A place that can pose a threat to me?... Welll, I am tired of living a repetitive life. How about I pass through a field of fire?'
A few moments later, Lucas flew straight into the sky and headed directly to the eastern part of the northern region.
When he started seeing blooming cities from above, he picked where to land first.
He still doesn't know the exact location but only had the rough direction, and so, it would be helpful if he asks some.
Lucas landed in a nearby forest to avoid getting some attention in the city. And so, after it, he just dashed to the gate as it is an easy feat for cultivators to run that fast.
In this case, he wouldn't be getting too much attention.
"5 silvers." the guard said.
Lucas had already prepared for it, but since he didn't have any change, he just took out a gold coin.
"Do you give change?" Lucas respectfully asks with his other hand on his back.
The guard was just clueless and slowly shook his head.
"We don't. Please pay the exact toll price."
Lucas was dispritited and just handed the gold coin.
"Just take it. If you want, just put a silver coin from your pocket and you can have the gold." Lucas said with a hint of a reverent smile.
"R-Really? Thank you very much, Senior!"
Even though it looked like Lucas was younger, Lucas just snickered it out and left him. But Lucas didn't know that his actions would attract unnecessary attention despite it being normal for rich people to do it.
From behind him, just a carriage who happened to witness Lucas's act. A young man inside had a solemn face towards Lucas. It was as if disgusted by seeing an act like that.
For the young man, what he really didn't like were those people who pretended to be reverent but in reality they were not. And just as his contempt grew for Lucas, he ordered his men to follow him.
Lucas finally entered the city, and as soon as he set foot inside, he started asking some of the people who were walking in the streets.
After a few hours, Lucas finally had enough information. Despite the fact that he only had rough information, he didn't let it dispirit him.
'I didn't think that Great Cliff had plenty of places around it. I thought that the sect was the only one near the Great Cliff.'
Lucas sighed and looked for an inn to stay. Since he doesn't really need to find a cultivator stop to cultivate, staying and sleeping normally would be great as it has been days since he experienced some.
When Lucas found a decent one, he entered the inn and, as usual, since he didn't have any change, he just gave them gold coins and let them keep the change.
'I don't need a change, right. Or I should take the change since there are some places that really don't have a change.'
"Uhm. Can I change my mind? Can you at least give me some 30 silver coins for my change? I think there are some shops that would face some problems with my gold coins." Lucas said to the innkeeper as soon as he realized his flaws.
Since it was a generous gift from Lucas, the innkeeper agreed to give him the change.
"Thanks!" Then he headed to his room and slept for the night.
Meanwhile, the young man who had men observing Lucas knew what happened in the inn. Since he heard that Lucas was taking back the change after acting kind enough to let the inn have the change, he clenched his fist.
"I knew it.. Acting kind, huh? Be sure to kill him secretly right now."
