Chapter 14: Sudden Guest

(General POV)

After experiencing a drastic change in his physical constitution, Sasuke felt starved.

Wearing a black bathrobe that exposed his good muscles, Sasuke walked downstairs.

After a while, he arrived and immediately sat down at the dining table.

"Master, I hope you enjoy your meal." Lina bowed respectfully to Sasuke and then left the room.

Sasuke immediately ate his lunch, which he had postponed long enough.

"Excuse me, sir."

But not long after he ate, he was disturbed by the sound of knocking on the door.

"What's wrong, Lina?" Even though the chief maid had not yet entered, Sasuke already knew who was knocking and asking without stopping to eat.

Lina opened the door and said, "Sorry to disturb you, sir, but there is a sudden visit from the Director of the Hunter Association; would you like to let him in?"

Sasuke stopped eating and looked at her. "Bring guests here."

After a while, the director of the Hunter Bureau with his deputy, an agent Sasuke recognized, and a woman half African and American were seen with Sasuke in the dining room.

"Sorry for the sudden visit, Mr. Hunter; our unexpected visit because we were worried about Mrs. Selner's safety if we abandoned plans here first."

David Brennon asked Sasuke about the meaning of this sudden visit.

Sasuke put down his fork and knife and turned his focus to the director.

"Yeah... so what is it? And who is this woman again?" Sasuke's gaze then shifted to the only woman in the room.

"Nice to meet you, Mister Sasuke Uchiha. My name is Norma Selner, and I am a member of the bureau that few people know about. My position in the bureau is an upgrader of hunters."

Sasuke was a little surprised by the strangeness. "Upgrader?" he asked while looking back at the director.

"It's Mrs. Selner's special ability that can increase a hunter's potential to the limit, but her abilities are limited, so we have to select hunters who only deserve this privilege."

"That's why security regarding Madam is very strict; if she's in a state of danger, then the priority even exceeds the President of the United States."

David added an explanation about Norma Selner's identity.

Sasuke realized what their arrival meant. "So you want to use her power to raise my abilities to the limit?" Sasuke asked with his sword on his right flashing red.

"Of course, we don't know for sure if it will work with you, sir. Also, I would like to inform you that the United States will assign a new rank for hunters who play a significant role in Kamish's raid." David provides other related news.

A superpower like America could easily recognize a new national identity or declare war.

Adding a new rank to the international hunter ranking system that the whole world uses except for China is not difficult for them.

"We plan to announce Mr. Sasuke along with Hunters Thomas, Liu, Christopher, and Sidharth as national-level hunters."

"So the States will recognize hunters who are equal to a country?" Sasuke clarified David's explanation.

"That's right," David confirmed.

But your strength surpasses all four of them. David Brennon still remembers Sasuke's fight with the dragon, and it's clear Sasuke is still holding back his true abilities.

'So they're careful not to mess with the five strongest hunters by treating them on par with a country. and also make all five of them allies, though not all are directly tied to America. Sasuke thinks of the political scenario behind it.

"Yeah, whatever, I'm not interested in your politics..." Sasuke drank the tea in his cup calmly while mentioning their plan.

"Then... would you like to receive an upgrade from Mrs. Selner?" David just wanted America's strongest hunters to be strong and stay loyal to them.

"You guys can try, though I think it's futile. "First, tell me how humans receive magical powers." Sasuke wanted to destroy their arrogance; otherwise, everything would be easy to obtain.

'Don't think I'll be their loyal dog.' Sasuke coldly looked at the Director.

"Humans are starting to receive strength from the other side; when I see hunters receiving powers that seem to be getting brighter, then the hunter is getting stronger." Mrs. Selner answered Sasuke's question easily.

"...But sir, isn't it common knowledge that if a human undergoes an awakening, he can use magic?" Mrs. Selner wonders: where did Sasuke's question lead to?

Sasuke put down his cup and then glanced sharply at Norma Selner. "That's because I never experienced an awakening in the first place." Sasuke laid it out with less expression on his face.

The four guests were shocked as if they had been struck by information about Sasuke that they did not expect, especially Mrs. Selner.

"T-that's impossible; how can a human have that much power without awakening at first!?"

Norma Selner subconsciously raised her voice because she was so shocked by Sasuke's confession.

Sasuke looked at them, who were still shocked. He had expected their reaction. But Sasuke wouldn't tell them about himself from another world, then he thought of something else.

'Should I tell them about the war between the magical beasts and the silver army?'

"This is a good opportunity... Director, can Adam and this woman be trusted?" Sasuke narrowed his eyes at the director.

"O-Of course they're very dependable members of the bureau."

David was still affected by this up-and-down situation. But he knew both of them could be trusted.

"Okay, I'll remember that. According to our previous agreement, I'll tell you what I've learned so far."

Sasuke closed his right eye and prepared chakra to demonstrate memory.

"?" The four of them were confused.

"Brace your hearts about what I'm going to show you now."

Then Sasuke opened his right eye showing his eyes that changed from three tomoe to a star shape.

All four of their hearts were beating fast when they saw Sasuke's Mangekyō Sharingan affecting them.

They felt the dining room turn into a completely black void, and then, before long, the scene changed to reveal a completely different world.

I drifted into the world that Mr. Sasuke showed me.

I saw the four of us floating in the sky, surrounded by strangely shaped rock mountains.

"Underneath you..." Our eyes moved by themselves when Mr. Sasuke said that.

My heart trembles with so much fear that I have never felt.

"W-what is this? There are so many of them!?" I heard agent Adam, screaming in shock.

A sea of magical beast troops.

I have never heard of so many magical beasts.

But strangely, those who I knew were very savage looked like they were gawking at the sky like they were waiting for something big to happen.

Then I looked above me.

"!?"

I see a lot of gates up there, and that one looks even worse than Kamish's.

"This!?"

I was stunned. I thought a scary monster had appeared there.

But that's not it; the winged Silver Army descends from the sky gates like the myth of the gods.

"This feeling is very familiar to me..." Where did I feel that?

Then the biggest gate broke to reveal a large space. A dazzling light appeared from there as the seven winged creatures that were like a bright light descended from the sky.

Then, not long after that, a terrible war occurred between them.

They looked stiff as their hearts violently beat.

Their eyes couldn't hide the fear in the man's eyes, which were glowing blood-red with a distinct pattern.

Sasuke wasn't in the mood to accompany them any longer.
