1526 hours, 25 June 0145…

We've successfully slayed Taken-Ki by smashing his thick armor with the harder object and burn down his inner frame with firecrackers, so we can slash his body easily.

Despite that, we still have to extract his soul system, black box, and his core to halt his regeneration and to analyzing his data inside of it. But, I'm slightly worried that this Infectoid will revive by itself even though we've extracted these things out of his body. Because I've encountered these situations countless times.

Soul system is the brain of the androids that'll receive any pictures that's captured through the android's eyes, while the black box is the recording box of the androids that'll record any received sounds. And the core is the heart or source of life for androids.

I squatted and opened his black box slot from his chest. However, I have to open it manually by force, because the button for the black box slot has long malfunctioned.

I cut down his chest slot with my Nakajima with a slight force, yet was careful to not wound the black box from my blade. While Joshua tries to open his head slot to extract the soul system.

Finally, we have extracted these things, and we're about to open up the files by analyzing it.

"Hey, that's a rare one!" Said Joshua while inspecting the soul system in his hands.

And then, I replied while inspecting the black box and the core in my hands.

"We're so lucky that we've killed this Infectoid with our genius strategy. And because of that, we can make tons of money out of these.,"

"Yeah, for sure. However, I wanted to decipher his soul system first," Joshua replied to me while activating his hologram watch and equipped it with a USB cable.

"How about if you also decipher this black box?" I asked while lending him Taken-Ki's black box.

And then, Joshua explained.

"Deciphering black box is easier than deciphering the soul system. Because the circuits and the data of these two things had been completely different. Black box circuits are simpler, because they're only catching received sounds. While soul system circuits were complicated, because they have to catch pictures, draw a real-time pixel by pixel, and then transfer it into their mind files,"

"It'll be better if I finish the complicated task first, so I can finish the simpler task like flipping a hand," he continued.

"Of course! I think we can also look at his past if we combine the recording files from his black box and his soul system video," I said to him while lending him the black box.

"That'll be useful," he replied.

"Unfortunately, I have to clean up the virus inside of these files before checking out the data's," he continued while inspecting both the soul system and the black box.

"Are you sure you can do it? Isn't the Scorching Virus will infect your gadget?" I asked, in concern.

And then he answered while activating his hologram watch on his left wrist.

"I already equipped my watch with a custom-built anti-virus software inside of it. And I'll tell you later on after I finished deciphering these data's later on,"

"Ok, I'll wait,"

While I waited for Joshua to finish deciphering the data, I inspect Taken-Ki's corpse again to see if he's still alive or not by checking the nerve system. I checked it by lightly punching the vital part of this Infectoid to find out if he's reacting to it. When I've done it for a few seconds, this Infectoid is completely dead and doesn't react at all. And that gives me a relief after successfully killing that Infectoid with a complicated strategy.

When my sight was glued to the dead Taken-Ki on the ground, I suddenly got a call from Axel through the comms channel.

*Beep beep beep*

It startled me because I got a call in a sudden under this suspenseful situation.

"I got a call from Axel?" I asked myself.

Then, I answered his call.

"This is Tsuyuki, what's wrong?" I asked him.

"I heard you had a fierce fight out there? Are both of you alright?" He asked me back.

"What do you mean by that? He's dead,"

"Wait, who's died in there?" He asked, surprised.

And then, I answered straightforwardly.

"Taken-Ki,"

Suddenly, Scott interrupted my call and said in surprise.

"Holy shit, bro! You killed Infectoid like breaking a toothpick! I'm kind of jealous of you!"

And then Axel asked me again.

"By the way, where are you right now?"

"I'm at the wide warehouse, far away from your position. I'll send you the coordinates and the pinpoint of the location," I answered after I sent them the coordinates of where I am right now.

"That's so far away! And you're in the restricted area?! Ugh, we'll catch up with you sooner! I hope you're okay in there, dude," Scott added, surprised.

And then I asked them again about Kotaro.

"By the way, did you guys' slayed Kotaro yet?"

Then Axel answered.

"Thankfully, we've crushed him with our heavyweight weapons. We thought it'll be tricky to fight against him from how fast his attack movement are. But luckily, his armor is pretty weak, and it gave us a decent chance to crush him in a perfect position whenever he's out of focus.,"

I nodded in understanding while raising my eyebrows. And then I replied before hanging up the call.

"Ok, that's good to hear. I'll catch up with you later on.,"

"Be careful out there, leader,"

*beep*

After I hung up the call, I approached Joshua from behind and asked him.

"Hey, Joshua. Are you done yet?" And then he answered.

"Not yet. Cleaning this virus is taking around 27 minutes. And the process is still on 24%,"

"Ok," I replied straightforwardly.

I was bored and checked around this warehouse to see if there were any interesting things I could check out.

When I'm checking out the back of the racks by pushing the racks sideway, I suddenly saw a button and a secret door behind these racks. I wanted to press the button and check out the inside. However, I have to ask Joshua for permission if he's allowing me to wander around by myself. Unfortunately, I already knew that he'd deny my permission and came to guard my back instead.

So I asked him about the secret door that I'd found.

"Hey Joshua, I've found a secret door behind these racks,"

Joshua stood up and asked.

"Where is it?"

"Here," I answered while pointing at the secret door behind the rack.

After that, Joshua approached me and checked out the secret door.

"Oh, it seems like a passageway through the underground lair," he said while touching the iron door.

"Can you analyze what's inside?" I asked him.

He opened his hologram watch to open the map of this abandoned sugar factory.

After the hologram watch revealed the map, Joshua swipes through our pinpoint location to find any existing place besides us. Unfortunately, we're standing past the border of this map where Minerva won't allow us to pass through, or else we're in huge trouble.

"Unfortunately, we're right in the restricted area of this map. So, the best decision is to find it out by entering that secret door directly. And I already predicted our commander will reprimand us 24/7 thanks to your stupidity," He said after turning off the hologram watch.

"Shall we?" I asked while pointing at the secret door with my left thumb.

"Your call," He answered while crossing his hands and looked the other way.

"Alright,"

After that, I pressed the button and opened the door. After I opened the door upward, it reveals the long, dark, and narrow passageway to the underground lair.

Before I was about to enter the passageway, I stopped for a second and asked Joshua.

"Is your watch still deciphering the black box and the soul system?"

"Worry about that later on, I'll take care of it by myself," He answered while showing his watch, is still deciphering the data and cleaning the virus around 31%.

With no further ado, me and Joshua entered the dark passageway to find any hidden underground room beneath this abandoned sugar factory. After we're entering a few steps away from the entrance, the door is automatically closed, and the light vanishes in this area. And it leaves both of us suspended in this dark, narrow corridor.

"We have to use a flashlight," I said to Joshua after turning on my flashlight.

"Of course," he replied, while turning on his flashlight through his hologram watch.

Both of us continue our journey by walking through this long, narrow, and dark passageway to find what's inside.
