In the Heavenly Emperor Palace of the Jun family, Jun Xiaoyao was sitting in one of the secret training rooms with his legs crossed.
The room was filled with all kinds of top-tier divine sources that emanated boundless, thick spirit qi.
Common fighters in the mystic realm trained using common types of source stones.
Cultivators of some top-notch orthodoxies and cultivation forces would be using celestial sources, which were more precious than the common variants.
Only members of the Clan of the Ancients, Wushang Orthodoxies, and Undying Dynasties have access to the most precious of cultivation sources: the divine sources.
The best of such sources —the mystic sources— lied above the divine sources, yet they were so exceedingly rare that not even the Clans of the Ancients had many of them stocked.
Regardless of their rarity, all source stones were divided into four tiers: low, middle, top, and supreme.
Aside from the mystic sources, the ones that Jun Xiaoyao used for his training were top-tier divine sources, which were deemed the next highest tier.
One could say that if he were to show off even a single piece of a top-tier divine source that he had in his possession, others would have certainly fought each other for it.
In his mind, he saw a huge, glittering, and majestic palace.
It was a divine palace that he conjured using his soul power.
The five stages of both the Physical and the Divine Treasure Stages were all meant for refining the physical body beyond its limits.
The Nine Levels of the Spirit Sea Stage were related to one's spirit sea, which was related directly with the volume of one's power reserve.
The Nine Levels of the Divinity Stage denoted the cultivation of the divine palace to allow the soul to grow.
Jun Xiaoyao was making his way to reach the True Spirit Stage.
By the time he reached such a stage, a true spirit would be fostered within his divine palace. Thus, his soul power would then see exponential growth.
That true spirit would be transformed into the astral soul later in the future, which would effectively allow Jun Xiaoyao to leave his body and travel the world as he pleased.
'The Meditative Methods of the Chaotic Divinity is truly something…' Jun Xiaoyao thought to himself.
A chaotic world seemed to be conjured within his mind.
A huge divine mill was seen amongst the chaos, spinning slowly and emanating a force that pinned down the entire realm.
The entire divine mill was stained with blood that looked like something that belonged to gods and demons.
The Meditative Methods of Chaotic Divinity was a set of methods that relied on the user to observe the divine mill at work, crushing the consciousness of said user and reforming it.
Jun Xiaoyao's soul grew increasingly powerful as he went through with the cycle of destruction and rebirth.
'Any common person out there who trained using this set of methods would rather die instead of going through all that torture, but it doesn't seem all that difficult to me,' Jun Xiaoyao thought to himself.
He thought that the reduced difficulty had to do with him being a transcended one whose soul power was far more resilient than that of common beings.
The Meditative Methods of Chaotic Divinity worked wonders in facilitating his growth without bringing him pain at all.
'As my training progresses further, I could even conjure that Divine Mill of Chaos using soul power as a weapon. I could resist that pain, but the same couldn't be said for other people,' Jun Xiaoyao noted to himself, feeling very impressed with himself.
He seemed to have earned yet another very powerful trump card in his arsenal.
Meanwhile, at the airspace above Emperor State.
A firebird was seen pulling an extravagant carriage, zipping past in the sky as it left a trail of dazzling flames.
The sight caught the attention of many people.
"Hold on, that carriage has the patterns of the Phoenix on it. Is it a carriage from the Ancient Kingdom of Phoenix?"
"There's no mistaking it. Rumor has it that the royalty of the Ancient Kingdom of Phoenix used firebirds to pull their carriages. I wonder if sitting inside of it is Bai Yu'er, that princess who's known for her beauty."
"Look at where the carriage is going. It's heading for the Jun family!"
The arrival of the carriage caused quite a commotion among the crowd.
Soon, the carriage stopped right outside the Jun family's estate.
The entire airspace of the estate was seen as a private one, opened only to the members of the Jun family. Anyone else who dared to remain airborne would be considered intruders and attacked on sight.
The curtains of the carriage were drawn back. A beautiful woman who was tall and had long legs was seen walking out of the carriage, wearing a red feathered robe. That woman was none other than Bai Yu'er.
She came alone on that trip, not bringing any of her servants.
Bai Yu'er glanced around. Countless islands and blessed places were seen hovering in midair within the Jun family's estate, each place emanating dazzling light.
She was completely stunned at the sight.
While the Ancient Kingdom of Phoenix was a very renowned top-notch cultivation force, the kingdom couldn't even begin to compare with the extravagance that the Jun family possessed. There was utterly no contest between the two.
However, a smirk of confidence and faint dismissal was seen on her face.
The Jun family is surreal, but what does it matter?
That genius of the Jun family is still going after my body all the same, so much so that he's willing to offer me a stalk of the Immortality Herb.
However, Bai Yu'er was determined to not give herself up to that genius she was about to meet before she came.
She was betrothed to someone else after all.
If something were to happen between her and that genius, she would have been deemed lecherous to the crown prince of the Ancient Kingdom of Dragon.

Bai Yu'er made her way forward once she made up her mind.
The magnificent, towering gates of the estate were emanating a powerful aura, guarded by the family's forbidden guards.
"Halt, visitor. Who are you?" The forbidden guard asked coldly.
"I'm Bai Yu'er, the princess of the Ancient Kingdom of Phoenix. I am here to visit Jun Linglong," Bai Yu'er answered casually.
"You're here to see the lady? Do you have anything to prove what you're saying? If not, get lost," the forbidden guard said coldly.
Bai Yu'er was immediately stunned.
Despite her not-so-esteemed status in the place, she was nonetheless a princess of a kingdom. Even so, a guard of the Jun family still had the audacity to just berate her like that.
However, she had no choice but to keep her temperament in check if she was there to ask for help. She showed the guards the jade scroll which she used to communicate with Jun Linglong.
"Off you go then," the forbidden guard waved dismissively and let her pass.
Bai Yu'er bit her lip, not anticipating that her noble status as a princess was so worthless before the members of the Jun family.
On the other side, Jun Linglong approached Jun Xiaoyao.
"Sir Divine Child, she's here," Jun Linglong reported.
"Alright, let's head out and meet this princess."
Jun Xiaoyao rose. His movements gave him a dashing appearance as his white clothes billowed with each motion. Despite being only eight years of age, his build was already like that of early teens.
Bai Yu'er then walked into a compound that looked like some kind of paradise.
That was where Jun Linglong was scheduled to meet Bai Yu'er.
Bai Yu'er heard footsteps before long and cast her gaze at the direction that the sound came from.
He saw a young man with a lithe build and complexion like that of precious jade slowly walking up to her.
The man looked like a son of the gods; he was unbelievably dashing and attractive, with a faint layer of glow emanating all over him.
Bai Yu'er was stunned by the man she just met.
She had seen many geniuses throughout her life, and there were a great many who were young and dashing.
When compared with that young man before him, however, the difference was so huge that it felt like she was comparing the light of fireflies to that of the moon, or eels to a true dragon. There was utterly no contest.
Her fiancé, the crown prince of the Ancient Kingdom of Dragon, looked very handsome and regal himself. Furthermore, he was unbelievably talented. Even so, her fiancé paled in comparison to that young man currently before her eyes.
Jun Linglong followed right behind him, dressed in palace attire.
Bai Yu'er gasped when she noticed her clothing, determining the relationship between the two.
Jun Linglong was a noble lady of the Jun family that Bai Yu'er needed to suck up to, but that same noble lady was still reduced to a maid.
'I wonder just who is this genius of the Jun family truly is. Is he one of the sequence position holders?' Bai Yu'er was still reeling from the shock.
"So, you're Bai Yu'er?" Jun Xiaoyao asked calmly.
"Indeed." Bai Yu'er bowed slightly, remaining very courteous.
She came to her senses before long.
She deemed that young man before him to be nothing special after all, given that he still lusted after her.
As such, she didn't see the need to lower herself too much before him.
"I take it that you're seeking the Immortality Herb to save your father?" Jun Xiaoyao continued.
"I am, indeed. I hope that you'll be charitable enough to provide assistance," Bai Yu'er said casually, without any signs of humility in her tone.
Jun Xiaoyao's brow lifted slightly at what he saw.
'Well, that doesn't seem to be the attitude I expected...'
She didn't seem like someone who would ask for medicine, but instead someone who was demanding it out of very legitimate grounds.
"Is that so? Would you care to give me a reason? The Immortality Herb isn't something that'd just fall from the sky after all," Jun Xiaoyao continued the conversation with a plain tone.
Bai Yu'er looked stunned for a second before a faint sarcastic smirk was seen on her face.
'So this guy is really something after all, huh?'
However, Bai Yu'er couldn't offer herself in exchange for the Immortality Herb.
"I believe you are of very esteemed status in the Jun family, sir, and that you have no lack of Immortality Herbs. Your contribution would also save a life. By saving my father, you would also be saving the lives of billions in the entire Ancient Kingdom of Phoenix. The act would be casual and effortless for you, sir, yet you'd earn all the merit and prestige from it. Wouldn't you be willing to do so?" Bai Yu'er elaborated, assuming moral high ground.
'You have the ability to save billions, Jun Xiaoyao, so why not do so? With great power comes great responsibility, no?'
Jun Xiaoyao felt like laughing after hearing the rhetoric that just felt all too familiar to him.
He recalled all those keyboard warriors online who implored and even demanded celebrities and tycoons to donate money, back in his past life.
'I guess this is the day where I get served with moral coercion, huh?' Jun Xiaoyao felt rather exasperated.
