Leon didn't go to his apartment or anywhere near that direction. He didn't want to take any unnecessary risk that could give out his identity as Leon.
However, Leon was injured from the shot, and he could barely run fast.
Of course, he wasn't feeling any pain, but his blood kept bleeding.
"Why… isn't it healing?" Leon wondered as he stopped in an alley to catch his breath.
"It should start healing… So why…"
It wasn't as though his wound wasn't healing. It was healing but at a slow speed.
He was shot on his lower back on the spinal cord, yet he was still able to jump and run for a while. Since he couldn't feel any pain, Leon hadn't realized that his wound was more fatal than he thought. The shot would have killed any other ordinary human, but Leon's superpowers saved him. Although, not for long.
If he had stayed a little longer or tried to kill Mr.L, Leon wouldn't be able to escape.
Leon was feeling dizzy, and he could barely think straight. He had no idea what to do or where to go, but he kept running.
He used his other clothes and tied them on his back to stop the bleeding. If he lost any more blood, he could die. However, he was worried about something else.
"I need to take out the bullet before my wound fully heals…" The bullet was stuck in Leon's spinal cord. Leon knew that he had healing ability, not regeneration.
Leon was aware that his spinal cord wasn't going back to how it was before, but he still had to take the bullet out before his flesh and skin covered his wound.
"I will kill that piece of shit who shot me…"
Fortunately for Leon, his perfect memory remembered everything, including the officer's face and number tag.
After walking and dawdling for some minutes, Leon passed out near a familiar apartment building.

When Leon opened his eyes, he woke up in an unfamiliar ceiling. No, he recognized the ceiling, but the color was different.
"Am I.. on the bed?" Leon couldn't sense anything.
He tried to move his head to glance around, but he couldn't move. He tried to move his finger, but it wasn't responding either.
"Is this sleep paralysis?" Leon wondered.
Sleep paralysis is a condition where one is unable to move his body parts. One would feel a tight sensation on the chest and find it hard to breathe. In some cases, one would feel like something or someone present in the room, watching them from the dark. One would also see a black figure standing in front of them or approaching them. In some cases, one would see a familiar figure that would later climb on the bed and try to kill them.
There were several types of sleep paralysis, and it could happen to anyone. IN some rare cases, it could result in death.
Right now, Leon felt like he was in sleep paralysis. This wasn't the first time Leon had experienced sleep paralysis. When he was trapped in Ryan's house, he would often have sleep paralysis due to lack of food and water. He was weak, and he would often hallucinate seeing Ryan beating him. Although, sometimes, it was real.
Sleep paralysis only lasted for 1-2 minutes, so Leon was waiting for 2 minutes to end.
Suddenly, a silhouette of a figure appeared on the other side of the glass door. The door slowly opened with a creaking noise, which caused Leon to gasp in fear.
A had appeared from behind the door, and a girl walked in. Her skin was blue, her hair was green, and her eyes were red— or so it looked like to Leon.
The girl was none other than Tania.
"Is this real?" Leon asked in a low voice.
Tania burst into tears after seeing Leon was awake. She rushed to the bed and hugged him.
"Uhh… what are you doing?" Leon asked with a hint of confusion in his voice.
"I was so worried!" Tania shouted.
"Why? And… What happened to you? Why are your skin blue and your hair green?"
"Huh? I am not blue… wait!" Tania showed the color chart to Leon on her phone screen and asked, "What is this color?"
"Red." It was blue.
Tania tapped on the yellow color and asked, "What about this?"
"Dark blue."
She then showed him the red color and asked, "And this?"
"Green."
Tania placed her phone on the table and said, "You have become color blind."
"How did… that happen?" Leon asked with a puzzled look on his face. He couldn't remember anything after he passed out.
"It must be because of the sedatives and injections the doctor gave you," Tania asserted.
She showed him the pouch with a blood-coated bullet inside it.
"This was stuck in your spinal cord."
After a brief silence, Leon frowned his face and uttered in a solemn voice: "Take a picture of me with your phone, and show me how I look like."
Tania took a picture of Leon on the bed and showed it to him.
Leon's lower body was wrapped with a bandage, and he was connected to a small machine that showed his body condition.
