Tania's body was wet, and water was dripping from her body. The lights on the bed which were used in the operation were brimming onto Tania's body, making her wet body shine.
"Can you turn off the lights?" Leon uttered. "I can't see you."
He could see Tania, but the lights were annoying him.
Tania turned off the lights and stood near Leon.
"Was it successful?" Tania asked with an anxious look on her face.
"If I am alive, then yes. But I still can't feel or move my body," Leon asserted.
Tania inspected Leon's body and said in a low voice: "Can I… remove the blanket?"
"Are you sure?" Leon asked with a grin on his face. "You might get scared after seeing the stitches on my back."
Tania didn't answer and lifted the blanket to see the stitches, but she averted her face after getting a glance.
"It looks so…"
"Cool?"
"No! It looks horrible. I don't know why, but I have always been scared of needles," Tania uttered and hugged herself.
"The Mafia is scared of needles…"
"I am not scared of blood or knives or guns. It's needles that scares me." Tania sat on the ground so Leon could see her without tiring his eyes to the corner.
They stared at each other for a while with a blank expression on their faces, as though neither of them knew what to talk about.
"Uhh… Leon pointed his gaze at the ceiling and said, "Is it nighttime?"
Tania shook her head and said, "It's morning now."
"Can you push me off the bed?"
"What?"
"Throw me off the bed. Fast," Leon said impatiently.
"No, no. What are you talking about? Why do you want me to throw you off the bed? And no matter what reason you provide, there is no way I am pushing you off the bed in your current condition," Tania said with a furious look on her face.
"I want to force my body to move. So push me."
"Not happening," Tania rejected Leon's plea.
"You don't understand. It's very important."
"I don't want to understand, and I don't care. I am not pushing you off. Just stay still and rest until you are better."
"This position is uncomfortable. At least turn me around." Leon thought if he asked Tania nicely, she would do it, but he was wrong. Now he was taking a different approach.
"You have stitches on your back, so the only position you can currently sleep in is on your stomach," Tania remarked.
After pondering for a while, Leon thought of another idea.
"Say, the blanket is touching my stitches, and it's getting itchy. Can you remove the blanket and clean my body with a towel?" Leon asked in a calm manner.
"But a while ago, you said you can't feel anything…" Tania was being extremely annoying, even though she was simply trying to take care of Leon.
"I was saying it because I didn't want you to worry. To be honest, it really hurts. So please…" Leon was improvising the acting advice he learned from Anna, and it was effective on Tania.
Tania immediately stood up and rushed to take off the blanket. Leon smirked and used that chance to push himself off the bed.
Of course, Leon couldn't move his body by himself, so he used Tania.
The blanket was stuck with the sutures, so when Tania removed the blanket, he had the opportunity to fall down.
"Leon!" Tania dropped to her knees and tried to catch Leon, but it was too late.
"Leon!" she yelled again with her face full of concern.
"Stop yelling in my ears! I am trying to concentrate here," Leon asserted.
"But your back is bleeding!" Tania was freaking out.
"Stay back…" Leon closed his eyes and focused on healing his spinal cord.
Leon only had the ability to heal, not to regenerate. But he could force his healing on the part which was already healing. He was increasing the process of cell division and boosting it to the limit.
After some minutes, Leon was finally able to move his finger.
"Yes…" Leon felt a sense of victory. But it wasn't the time for celebration yet.
After some painful grunts, Leon forced his body up using his hands. He eventually managed to stand up, but his legs were shaking. No, his entire body was shaking as though he could fall at any moment.
"I never thought I would feel happy for standing up on my feet," Leon snorted. "Is this how parents feel when their child learns to stand up on their own?"
"Your back is bleeding!" Tania yelled with an anxious look on her face.
"Let it bleed." Leon stretched his hands up and down as his bones made a cracking noise.
Then, he stretched his legs left and right and jumped a couple of times.
"Perfect," he said with a smile on his face.
Leon could move his body, but he still couldn't feel it. However, he wasn't worried about that. His main goal was to move his body, and he had achieved that.
"Your back is…"
"Right." Leon bent his body back, which caused a heavy impact on his back. His stitches came off as he forced his body down.
"Stop! Stop doing that! Your spine will break!" Tania yelled.
"Don't worry." Leon pulled out the remaining stitches from his back and showed his back to Tania.
"How do I look?" he asked with a grin on his face.
Fortunately, his wound was already healed, but it had left a scar.
Tania was surprised to see his back wasn't bleeding any more. She wiped the blood with a wet towel and hugged Leon from the back.
"What are you doing?" Leon asked with a confused look on his face.
"Your scar looks like a big caterpillar," Tania said with a smile on her face.
"You don't hate caterpillars?"
"No. They are so cute."
"..." Leon hated bugs, and he couldn't stand them.
Leon carried Tania to her room and pinned her down on the bed.
"Do you remember what I said I would do when I am healed?"
"Of course…" Tania spread her legs and said with a slutty smile on her face: "Go ahead and ravage me. Make a mess out of me."
