Chapter 1: One Shot

One Shots:

     Somewhere in some dark endless place, there’s a ball of light that floating still.

“Where am I?” the ball of light suddenly spoke confusingly.

“I know I died, but where is this place?”

     The ball of light tried looking left and right but realize that it has no form.

“Great now what, I don’t even have a body anymore,” it said with a sigh coming from it voice.

     While giggling, it deeply thought, ‘I wonder this was my wife and lovers saw after they passed away?’

“I miss them. I hope to see them again after leaving this endless darkness,” he said with a tone of sadness.

     As the ball of light continues floating silently, the quietness and stillness slowly returning to the vast space of darkness.

……….

     Didn’t know how long has it been since the absence of sound. Out of nowhere a voice can be heard mumbling.

“Is this the start of my punishment? Wandering alone in the middle of endless darkness?”

“Guess who ever in charge of punishing me take my body first then hellish torture later,” he said while giggling, already accepting and anticipating the hellish pain that comes later.

‘What to expect? I kill many people. But I never really think that they nuke my island where I was in. Good thing I was the only one living there when that happen.’ He musingly thought.

……….

     After a moment of pondering.

“I wonder what happen to the one I left in charge with…. Well it didn’t matter anymore but this place was too boring.”

Suddenly he sees something from a distance getting closer and closer to him and its getting bigger.

He sees something like human form but there’s something weird in it. Like it was make up only of human shadow.

“I can clearly see it even though I’m in pitch black darkness, that’s weird. Added to that if I can see it clearly from a far it must be really huge.”

He observes a being or an entity that getting closer to him thoroughly and can see that its body has a composing of an image of different galaxies that he can only see in some science textbook. Together with different stars, like it was twinkling in a night sky. And finally, there are two red crimson orbs placed on top of what seems like a head looking directly at him.

A few seconds later.

     Looking at the entity a few miles away from him, he can truly tell now that it is ginormous.

Furthermore, if he describes how big the being or the entity is, he’s just like a speck of dust in front of it.

“Interesting.”

Someone suddenly said with a hint of curiosity in its deep voice.

“You’re still here! It’s the first time I encountered something like this.”

     The ball of light look at its surrounding, trying to find out whose talking. He clearly heard its voice, it was not loud, but it’s like coming from all over the place. After checking left and right he finally looks in front of him, miles away from him was the recently arrive gigantic being just floating still and doing nothing.

‘Seems no one around, so I guess the voice I was hearing coming from whatever that being is.’

Looking up on two big red orbs that seemingly looking down at him.

“Guess this is it, looks like my tormentor was this big thingy. At last finally getting start with this shit and hopefully it will be over soon,” he muttered while preparing himself on what to come.

“Hahaha… you’re funny one little soul!,” a loud laughing voice reverberate throughout the darkness, “for a million years you keep thinking and asking the same questions to yourself again and again.”

‘Little soul? A million years? It appears to be that this being in front of me is not the one I expect to be,’ deeply thinking. ‘Seems I can talk to it, maybe I'll just ask and fish out some information about what’s going on!’

“See you’re doing it again, deeply thinking and creating more questions. I’m in the good mood so just ask whatever question you have… And also I can read your thoughts so don’t get surprise and freak out ok.”

“Ok so who or what are you?” he ask.

“I don’t know.”

“What do you mean you don’t know?”

“I just don’t.”

‘Seems I try to ask a more specific question,’ looking up with his two none existent eyes where the two big red orb is. “Ok, so anything can you tell me what’s going on or where I am?”

“So you’re here where I reside. It called, or I like to call it The Void” the entity pause a little. “This place or I think was the beginning and end of everything.”

     He was more confuse about the answer he got. He’s about to ask his next question but suddenly interrupted.

The entity blurted. “Before your next question I will give you now an elaborate answer so listen carefully.”

He just silently nodded.

“Your in the place I called The Void. This place is also my home and where I was born. As far as I know there’s no one living here except me. I have no name. I have only one purpose when I was born, that is to create, create, and create. Don’t know why but that’s the only thing I do. I created many things like life, planets, dimensions and realms.”

“In our word isn’t that like a god!” he said, amused.

“Little soul, little soul I know what a god is in your word, I don’t understand why your kind like to give such a title to a being that you didn’t even see or comprehend the power they possess?!” with a hint of curiosity on it. “Your on the other hand was a mysterious case to me. How did you get in here?”

“I also don’t know, I just close my eyes and when I open it again I already here in this empty place,” he replied with a sighing sound.

“Hmm, you know why I said it’s the first time to encounter like this because this void was the end of everything. When galaxies, universes, multiverses, dimensions, and any higher being near their end, this is the final resting place they’ll go... meaning just a soul like you have an own system that processing your soul after you die unless you’re like some higher bei— no the point is that you’re not supposedly able to come here or survive here talking to me right now.”

He’s even more confused now about the information he got from the entity. ‘What the hell... Higher being? Multiverse? This place called The Void where it all ends? And finally, the one who calls itself that creator of all?!’

     The entity silently stares, letting the information it gives sink into him. It was amused about the fact that something or someone survived for so long in this place where it resides and had never even encountered this type of phenomenon before. Thinking that there seems something special about this soul that it survives here in the void.

Moreover, It even tried to read its thought and even peek through time and space, but it didn’t even answer the question it was looking for. All it can see what was this soul is when it was alive and nothing special about it, and only surprised that this soul hasn’t gone to any reincarnation or rebirth, yet it’s only on his first cycle of life.

     As both the soul and the entity fell into deep thinking, the quietness slowly encroach around them.

     Sometime later there’s a movement coming from the little soul, seems like he was done thinking about the information that he learn which make him confuse more. He looks up to the entity and want to talk, but suddenly, he was shock on what he sees. The entity that supposedly massive that he look from afar was now in front of him. It has same body composition like before which was like it body was consist of a million star glittering on it.

If the previous size dwarfs him because of its sheer size, but now it becomes smaller like a 10ft tall human being.

“Surprise? I just figure out and make a consideration that we can have easier conversation if I make myself smaller rather than my original size”

“Ok thanks I guess, it was really hard looking and talk to you earlier compare now” he continued. “It gives me some kind of pressure that I cannot explain, like when I was training by my master when I was young, but this pressure was many times more powerful!”

“Really!? You didn’t sound like pressure at all when you talk to me earlier.”

He didn’t reply or corrected the entity, he had been trained to mask his emotion so that people won’t able to see through him easily, but he knows that it’s useless now since in front was an entity who can easily read his thought.

“So what now, I’ve been expecting hell or any other kind of afterlife hoping to reunite with my wife and lovers but now I’m trap here” with a sigh. “Maybe this was really my punishment, trap here in the endless void forever.”

“It looks like you have many regret in your life that lead you thinking that way and expected something like that when you die.”

He looks at entity with a questioning look.

“If I remember, you can read my thought… as if you didn’t know who am I?”

“You see I only take peek on your thoughts and I don’t have a habit to read someone thoughts from time to time unless it’s needed and interest me, I don’t understand what you’re regretting was because I didn’t even experience it myself.”

The reply he gets seems plausible enough, while slowly nodding his non-existent head. He was about to speak when the entity interrupt him.

“Seems there’s only two of us here, so why not exchanging questions, swapping stories and information?” the entity said who sound enthusiastically.

“I like that, let’s do that!”

     So the two start questioning, swapping stories and bickering with each other that it sounds like they are friend that reunited after a long time.

     Time pass by in this never-ending void but the two only being who reside here seems didn’t notice it at all and still telling stories that seems never end.

“You see when I first talk to you, I’ve got the impression that we can’t communicate and understand each other, but suddenly you have spoken some word in English,” he said.

The entity look at him for a moment and answer him.

“Besides being able to create anything without restriction, that’s one of my abilities” pausing a bit. “I can make others understand what I’m saying so that if I ever speak to someone or something sentient, my spoken word come out in their own native tongue.”

“That’s really convenient, I guess travelling to different places has been easy to you with all kind of stories you tell earlier,” amaze on what he learned.

     The entity didn’t reply immediately, causing momentarily silence around them, after a while it tells him that he is the only one it ever talks to. And with all the abilities it has, the entity can’t even go outside or leave into this endless void. Sure it can create many things even life, but after it created something it was sent immediately outside the void with protected barrier in order not to affected by the void, corrode and turned to dust.

It even tells him that all the stories and tales was from when it randomly peek to some worlds and dimensions. It even tries to interact and communicate with some creature or sentient outside the void, but its abilities didn’t help at all, they can’t seems to hear or feel its presence.

“Well that sucks with all that powers you have… there’s no one to show it off,” he said with a giggling sound.

“I don’t have a strong desire like you human has. I only tried to leave this place for a few times out of curiosity on what outside was like,” the entity perform a shrug gesture. “Before I know it, I am back on what supposedly my original purpose, and that is to create.”

     In the early life of the entity, it tried to leave the place where it was born a few times but give up in the end like there was some invisible shackle that prevent it from leaving and just continue creating anything.

Long time pass it rarely creates anything anymore, it just stays idle and floats here and there knowing many sentient that the entity called a higher being popping out outside the void that is capable of creating life or even a whole world but not even close enough when the entity creates anything.

Until something piques its interest, the cause of it was the little soul that enters its domain and survives for a long time.

     The soul look at the entity and it gives him some idea.

“You know what, why can’t you try sending me outside the void since you said you can make some kind of barrier like you use when you create things and send it outside?” he said with a hopeful sound.

It replied by saying, “I already tried it multiple times before I make myself known to you when you are deeply thinking for a million times.”

“What a bummer!” he continued. “In that case since you can see anything outside the void may I ask you a small favor?”

“Sure what’s that?”

“I want to know what happens to my wife and lovers after they died?” he asks hoping to gets some pleasant news.

     The entity start to look from afar and its two red eyes lit up momentarily then it looks back at him again.

“Your wife and lovers already reincarnated as humans on what you called Earth. They are born again in each different timeline and seem to live a happy and fulfilled life as of now.”

‘It’s good to hear that they live well, but I’m somewhat sad that I was hoping we get reunited in the afterlife. I guess they deserve to have a better life this time since it’s because of me they died,’ he thought with peace of mind.

And when he’s about to reminisce about his loved ones, he hears the entity asking something.

“Do you want me to tell you more details about their life so far?”

He hurriedly replied, “it’s ok and I feel somewhat relieved knowing they live well now” pausing for a moment, “I guess it’s you and me together in this place for eternity!”

“You know… you have no idea what eternity is, let me tell you something for you to understand simply in human terms you’ve been here for eons now including our endless talk earlier that seems like a few hours ago but it isn’t.”

     Shock to find that eons have passed since he awake in this eternal darkness, and he didn’t even feel it.

With a feeling of loss, he just stares at the entity who accompanied him for a long time. Choosing to believe every word it said since he doesn’t have an option because there are only two of them in this kind of place where there’s nothing but an endless space of darkness.

“Lost on what to do right, you here with me for the rest of eternity doing nothing, floating endlessly” the entity make a giggling sound. “Eventually, the thing that humans called boredom will catch up to you and then somehow after you pass that stage you’ll likely to become some empty shell inside.”

    The soul didn’t reply and fell into deep thinking again, hearing what the entity said. He just cannot imagine the future that the entity tells him, thinking that this was really the punishment or karma that he get for all of his deed.

‘I guess this kind of punishment suits me well,’ he told to himself, and already accepted the situation he was in.

“You know since coming here you always tell yourself that this was my punishment always for a million of times, I know you killed many humans for some mortal being… if you ask me, it’s quite a feat,” the entity brought its head closer to the little soul as if looking into his nonexistence eyes. “What if I tell you I was able to come up with something that both of us will benefit from it.”

     What the entity said pique his interest, he wants to listen on what its going to say, hoping it was good news.

     The entity tells him about how it theorizes many ways to leave this place since it first found him floating here. He gives the entity some idea that maybe he’s the key to getting out here because he came from outside the Void. So, it tells him what plan it had.

“You’re saying to me that you want to fuse with me, is that right?” he stated.

“That’s right, if we fuse together maybe there’s something special happens that trigger something, maybe that something can get us out here.”

“Maybe? So, you don’t so sure it’s going to work!” he says with a questioning tone. “Why telling me all this? Why can’t you just absorb me without telling all your plan in the first place.”

“That was my first thought because like I said earlier there seems something special about you. Observing you a few times, I decided not to do it since it’s the first time that someone I can finally talk to.”

     He does some nod gesture, accepting the answer he received coming from the entity in front of him, knowing that he’s even powerless to do something if it decides to absorb him. But there’s still some question in his thought.

“Why now of all time? We’ve been together for eons, what change that you propose something like that? Is there even the difference between absorb and fusing!?” he asked.

     The entity answers the latter question first calmly by saying it proposes merging both of them and not absorbing him because it speculates that together as one through merging can birth something new while on another hand if the entity absorbs him, the entity assumes that it’s going to be useless even though it thinks he’s special. It doubts that it will gain something from absorbing him.

And lastly, why now of all time. It’s because the entity already sees that the situation they are in slowly leads to the same situation as when it was all alone here in the void.

Just floating still, staring at the endless darkness. It can already see that the soul was slowly becoming like itself and eventually succumb to the feeling of emptiness after eons of staying here in the darkness.

“Seems convincing enough!” he said.

“So what do you think, do you agree to what I propose?” still looking at him closely. “It’s fine with me if you take your time to decide, since I’m not also sure that the merging process going to work out the way I expected it.”

‘Guess I will agree to it since It’s boring in this place anyway, even though I didn’t feel the flows of time I don’t want this kind of emptiness feeling slowly swallowing me up, and I take all chances to leave this endless darkness even it was small or the results was uncertain,’ he thought.

     The entity look at him, feeling that he has already decided. To be honest, it doesn’t matter what answer it receive, if he didn’t agree to the offer, it will left him alone and didn’t bother him anymore.

The entity feels the desire to change and do something on trying to leave this place was diminishing slowly like there some invisible force doing it, similar to the last time it tries to leave.

It always feel that whenever it desires to do something more outside of creating that it supposedly do, the entity suddenly lost interest on it.

It was also sick of creating anything again and again, so it chose to stay idle rather than create something.

“I’ve decided, I will take your offer and merge with you,” he replied with a decisive tone.

“Are you certain, there’s no going back once we get started.”

“Yes, I’m certain, there’s a saying in my world that if you’re offered a seat on a rocket ship, don’t ask what seat! Just get on!”

“Ok so let’s start this shall we?”

“Before we start I’m saying it’s been an honor to meet and accompany someone powerful like you, even if you scammed me, it’s ok, I take whatever the outcome of my decision was!” he loudly interrupt.

‘It’s been an honor to meet me huh,’ if the entity has a mouth he can see it smilingly hearing the word saying by the one who accompanied it for long time.

     The entity move back a little, then he sees that the outline of its body begins to quiver, slowly it shrinks until it was like of little ball of light like him. But in contrast, it was like a ball compose of million stars sparkling in the dark sky.

“This technique I once saw when I’m watching some realm. In order to become more stronger, the people there even some strong one is looking for someone who’s also reach their limit and willing to fuse on one another.”

“Wait a minute, I think I knew that one, isn’t it called Fusion Technique!?” he said in surprise.

“Yeah, I’m not surprise you know it too… anyway there are two types of fusion in that universe and I only use the main principle of both techniques,”

     The entity said that they do not need to do the fusion dance or some earrings. In theory it just needed to match it’s energy level to his, but also said that it might not work because they have different energy composition. So, there’s no turning back when the fusion process starts.

“At least we won’t be needing to do the lame fusion dance ritual thing,” he said.

“Unless you want to… which is impossible since we don’t have a physical body. After this were both gone or just maybe you only,” It tried to joke a little. “Alright, joke aside, let’s start this.”

The soul didn’t respond to the joke and silently waiting when suddenly a small suction force pulling both him and the entity nearer to each other until they gradually merge into a single orb.

The orb that formed from merging consist of two colors, the other half was white, and the other half was black. As if they have a mind of its own, the two colors begin battling for domination.

     As the time goes on, there’s only one distinct color dominated the orb, it was black. As the black color made its final move to dominate the remaining small area where the white color is, it suddenly stops moving. Out of the blue, it slowly retreats until the white color regain the half of the orb.

The appearance of the orb return to its former state, which was black and white color evenly divide. After both color didn’t fight for dominance anymore and settle on each own place. The orb emits a circular light pulsing around it, like it beats per minute. It started to spin slowly, accelerating until the white and black color can’t discern anymore.

It keeps spinning for a long time that it didn’t show any sign of stopping for a while.

Time pass by.

     Inside the void where the supposedly black and white orb previously spinning is no more. It replaced by a silvery grayish orb floating still, covered by softly burning dark flame, complete with vibrant sparkles.

Suddenly something happens, the aura surrounding the orb like fire died out. The orb begins to vibrate then slowly morphing into a human like figure, seems consist only of dark matter from head to toe.

“At last it took long enough for me to be born,” the figure suddenly speak as if someone listening to it.

“Seems my predecessor was right about its theory, but it looks like they have a problem syncing their energy level that it took long enough to harmonize it completely.”

     Trying to familiarize and sort out the memories left by its predecessors.

“Now let see, first I’m going to break out to this place since that was the original goal of both my predecessor, then create a human body, and lastly I want to experience all the memories I inherited.”

     It feels that its desire growing to do anything, it surmises that was because some part of itself was made of human soul. It also contributed the desire to have human male body as it categorize itself as a male from now on, but it can wait later after he get out of the void successfully. Since he didn’t fully sure if the body he creates can survive the passage out of the void, even if he coated it with protected barrier. Furthermore, he knows what the dangers ahead creating passage a way out here.

“Now let’s get out of here, I don’t want here to stay longer!”

A small hole consists of electricity and cloud surrounding it suddenly appear in front of himself. The hole gradually getting larger until it is big enough for a single person.

“I’m still not familiar of using the power I inherited,” shaking his head while looking at the portal way out. “Seems unstable, but it will do.”

     He immediately enters the portal before it close. Inside it, he can see the familiar passage made of dark cloud and electricity where his predecessor failed to pass through. Didn’t want to waste more time, he pushes forward and fly as fast as he can, didn’t even know how far the exit was.

     When he travelled quite a distance, he feels that the passage seems slowly getting smaller. He was worried that he cannot make it on time before the passage shrink and close, suddenly he feels heavy like something discouraging him to continue moving forward and go back. Like it was trying to diminish his will and desire to get out.

“So that’s what it feels like, no wonder my predecessor didn’t get through, good thing I have part human soul in me,” shaking his head while still continue moving forward just ignoring it. “It’s really amazing on how humanity has strong will and desire.”

Out of nowhere a bolt of lightning attack him. It strikes him endlessly, causing him to slow down a little.

‘It really hurts! Seems this place really didn’t want me to leave,’ he thought!

Annoyed by the fact that the lightning strike cause him unimaginable amount of pain. He knows that he was really overpower with all the powers and abilities he had. Comparing to the outside of the void, he can say that no one can match and hurt him, but this lightning keep testing his limits to continue forward.

     Wanting to reach the exit faster, he persists and ignores the suffering coming from the bolt of lighting because he notices that the path was narrower than before.

Suddenly, he feels something grabbing his feet, looking behind he can see a ghostly hand holding it and trying to drag him back. It’s just one hand, so he’s no trouble of freeing himself up. He’s still focusing on the lightning strike hitting him like no end while trying gaining some speed flying forward.

Then he feels something holding him again, but now on his shoulder. Trying to ignore it, he looks at the front and was stunned by what he sees. Many ghostly hands popped out of the passage wall, waiting their turn to grab him.

“Shit,” that’s all he said, mustering every ounce of his power and speeding up.

     As he speeds up while trying to evade the hands on the wall, but it was futile because the path was much smaller than before.

There’s no room for his body to maneuver around causing many hands to successfully grab him which leads to his speed falling drastically.

‘Why hands, isn’t it supposedly tentacle or something?’ he jokingly said to himself to lighten the mood he was in. He was starting to lose hope and thinking that it was better to go back and try again later.

(“No, you can’t give up now!”)

He wakes up from his negative thoughts when he heard it.

“Who’s there?”

No one answer him.

‘What am I thinking? Why thinking of giving up!’ he thought. ‘Maybe that’s the will left by my predecessor… no, it’s my own will and desires telling me to not give up!’

Feeling determined, he starts speeding up again, ignoring the ghostly hands that grab him and the lightning that strike him. Giving it all until the end, he pushes through the narrow passage with all his might, feeling that this journey of his will be ending soon.

     Somewhere in the vast space where a massive sun is, asteroids that scatter all over the place, space clouds that consist of different colors, and stars that twinkling from afar. It was really a picturesque scenery like anyone seeing this scene want to engrave in their memory.

     In this vacuum of space, something impossible happens when a crackling sound can be heard followed by a small black hole appearing out of nowhere. It produces a strong suction force that everything that closes enough will be sucked inside the black hole. Even the sun starts moving towards it.

     Suddenly, something fast came out of the black hole. A shadowy figure emerges from it. It was so fast that it traveled quite a distance before stopping.

It looks back and amazes at what it’s witnessing. The black hole was in the process of pulling the sun inside it. Like it wants to devour the sun as fast as it can.

     At this moment, the black hole devoured almost half of the sun, and it intended to continue finishing it off.

But all of a sudden, the black hole starts shrinking until it completely disappears.

All that was left is the remaining half of the sun, with its core exposed. Its plasma goes amok around it, and the sun starts emitting heat that can even feel at a far distance like something bad is going to happen.

     The shadowy figure who looks back is none other than the one who escapes from the Void.

“That sun was finished!” that’s the first word he said after he gets out. He looks at the other direction. “Seems my arrival hasn’t gone unnoticed!”

With a grabbing motion using both of his hands, he starts tearing the space apart causing a rupture to form in front of him.

‘That’s enough for now,’ he thought while looking to the other side of the rupture that leading to unknown.

Without further a do, he enters inside it.

     After he passes through the rupture, it started closing like it had sewn back together as if nothing happen.

When there’s no trace of rupture left in the area, a golden cloud appears out of nowhere near the sun, like it’s looking or inspecting something.

“It’s here where I felt it,” a deep voice coming from inside the golden cloud.

Inspecting the state of the sun and its surrounding, it suddenly looks to the area where the rupture was before.

“I thought some treasure was born, but it’s just a waste of time.”

     The golden cloud slowly leaving and vanish from the area, don’t know where it went to.

……….

     In the place where there only darkness and nothingness, there’s a figure floating still. Looking closer, its body has many red cracks from head to toe which give a feeling that its going to break apart at any moment now.

     After time pass by, the cracks on its body are slowly closing one at a time until there is nothing left.

“That’s a close call,” he said while looking at his hand, opening and closing it a few times. “My body was close to self-destructing from overusing my power! If not for that hellish passage, I’m not in this difficult predicament!”

He’s body has reached its limit after he got out. That if he uses more of his powers and abilities, he’s body will explode from overwhelming energy he generates. That is why he didn’t even bother trying to create a new dimension, and just look for some random empty one.

“This dimension was small, but it’s ok for now… Seems my body is slowly recovering!” he brought his hand close together, then a small orb of light materialize in the middle. And when the orb of light reaches the size of a marble, he squeezes it using both of his palms. It burst apart, causing a ring of light to scatter all over the direction.

“Now that a barrier is up, I doubt anyone can enter or see this dimension… no, it’s my dimension now. Even though this was small, but it’s enough for my base of operation.”

Opening his palm and looking at it, he concentrates like he’s trying to do something.

After a while, something slowly emerges from his palm. It looks like a miniature sun.

“At last, I am slowly getting accustomed to using this power,” he flicks the miniature sun away from him.

     As the sun moves farther away, it was getting bigger and bigger. The sun he creates was many times bigger compared to Earth’s sun where he took inspiration from the memories he inherited. He also plans to make and own a planet with a moon.

After he sees that the sun was in the right place, he starts creating a bigger moon with a hollow space inside that can fit a city.

Subsequently, he follows by creating a planet that is many times bigger than Earth, and he put something big deep inside it.

     Looking on the outcome of what he does.

“Perfect!” that all he said while looking from another direction. “I need to finish up here first.”

He suddenly departs toward nothingness with unimaginable speed. Going who knows where until his silhouette disappeared from endless darkness.

……….

     A long time pass by since he left, and there was still no sign of him coming back.

The moon and the planet look abandoned and lonely, but the good thing there is the sun that serves as a beacon of life wherever its light reaches.

     Suddenly something appears from afar. There’s a twinkle of light amid the darkness, afterward another one suddenly appears beside it, and another one follows until the previous endless darkness was full of it.

Another noticeable appearance was space clouds from a far distance with different colors everywhere, blending in perfectly with twinkling lights.

     The quietness and stillness that reigns in the vast space are suddenly broken when someone speaks.

“I should’ve use teleportation before!”

A silhouette suddenly appear in the surface of the moon. It was the dark human figure who left earlier.

He looks everywhere and feels satisfied on what he’s seeing.

“It took me long enough to finish! I thought creating anything was so easy.”

     That’s right, he created a thousand worlds or planets inside his dimension, making a whole universe on it.

In the start it was just a simple idea, he just wants to lie down and relax underneath the starry night when he is in his world.

But he never knew that it was not simple as it should be.

‘So that’s why my predecessor takes years to think and create a single dimension,’ he thought.

     He is not wrong about his presumption, it takes time to imagine the details of what to create. Especially for someone like him who develops a habit of thinking through the details of each thing he made earlier, that’s why it takes time for him to finish creating stars.

“It’s not bad anyway, seems it took me a few breath to create a whole planet, and thinking about the detail was taking most of my time,” nodding his head a little.

     The dark figure look below where his planet is.

“Now let’s me finish you, my dear!” he flew fast toward the planet, seemingly planning something.

     As he passes through the atmosphere, he lets the gravity pull him down making a burning effect appear on his shadowy figure.

It also causes him to fall rapidly with his head first.

     A few moments later, he already sees the ground below.

He readies himself by flipping his body upside down so that he can land on his feet first.

“Superhero Landing!” he said when his feet touches the ground.

His landing was so powerful that it makes a thunderous sound followed by the dirt, dust, and debris scattering all over the place.

     When the dust slowly dissipates, his silhouette gradually emerges in the middle of a massive crater, revealing that he is on his knees.

He waits for a few seconds before slowly standing up while looking around left and right.

“It’s truly hard on the knees!” he giggles a little. “I just want to know what it feels like falling from space then landing like that, and it feels good!”

Suddenly, the ground began to shake violently, as if something big moving underneath.

He flies up high towards the sky to have a better view of what’s happening on the massive land below him.

     As the earthquake continue, the land below starts showing sign of breaking apart. It causes a massive and long fissure that subsequently appears like it's splitting up the body of land, followed by the rising of water between the cracks.

     A few moments later, the massive land below split apart into five. Four of them successfully break away, moving to different corners of the world, and each of them became a continent on its own.

     He looks down at the remaining land which was not big as the other four when the violent shaking stop.

‘Looks like my plan was successful!’ he thought proudly.

     When he created his planet, it has a massive piece of land that occupies half of the world, while the rest was a large body of water.

He wants it to have continents like Earth which has seven. So, he plans to divide the big piece of land and make a continent out of it.

Wanting to make it like a natural phenomenon, he formulates and devises a ridiculous plan which leads him to try the superhero landing pose that caused a big and powerful earthquake earlier.

“Now that each continent completely settled in different parts of the world, I should start the next phase of my plan.”

     Flying lower to the land below him, he started creating different kinds of biomes like deserts, forests, mountains, and many more. He also created different types of trees and plants based on his memories, from normal to fictional ones. Thereafter, he teleported to the other continent too and did the same thing as the first one.

     After months of work, he flies back to the first continent where he first landed after entering the planet, which happens to be at the center of the other four.

Because he didn’t teleport, it takes him days to get back because he flies just at his normal speed. After all, each continent was so far from one another.

     Landing at the clearing in the woods where the massive crater was before.

“Now I need to create a human body!” he excitingly said.

Searching his memories of what type of body and appearance he wants.

“There’s too many to choose from,” he said.

Although he can easily make a human body, he didn’t want to repeatedly create it. That’s why he was thinking hard about what appearance he makes because the human body he creates will be his vessel as long as he lives, which means forever.

Somewhere in the first continent.

     There’s a beach that appears to be lively and joyful with the presence of the natural vegetation. There are evergreen plantations both along and inside the beach. Images of buoyant sea weeds can be seen along the shore. Palms trees are seen to stand tall along the beach dancing to the tune of the breeze emanating from the waters of the sea.

The sea grapes and the sea oats are also observed gathered in clusters in the sea next to the shore. There colored flowers are splendid and brightens at the shining of the summer sun. The sweet scent of the flower grapes sends a signal to the world about the hope brought by nature.

The atmosphere is fully intensified by the aroma produced by the buoyant sea flowers. In addition, from a far, images of leafless trees are also observed. The perfect combination of the vegetation along the beach and inside the sea displays the beauty of nature to the highest peak.

     Here on the sandy shore, there’s a man who can be seen sitting on a wooden chair beside the umbrella while drinking a glass of mango juice and looks like enjoying himself watching the waves hitting the sand.

The man sitting was wearing a red aloha shirt partnered with shorts and slippers. He seems to be in his early twenties and the most striking features of him were his long silver hair and green cat-like eyes.

“Guess I’m Sephiroth now!” he said while drinking the rest of mango juice.

‘It’s hard to make and design a new body, good thing that old geezer’s memories are somewhat useful!’ he thought. ‘He really became a man of culture in his later days, no wonder he didn’t even notice the nuke coming from his house because of staying up for days watching anime and playing games.’

     He has given up creating and designing a body from scratch since it took him long enough to think about what it is going to look like. In the end, he felt tired from thinking and decided that the easiest way was to create and copy someone else body.

So, he searched his memories for a suitable body he can make. There are so many to choose from, but the one that stands out the most was Sephiroth.

He thinks that Sephiroth’s looks were villainous cool, which is why he ended up choosing his body as a vessel over many others.

He also took the name Sephiroth to himself because he feels like that name suit him well.

     Sephiroth stood up from his chair and slowly walked toward the shore bare-footed, looking down where he feels the wave hit his feet with a feeling of contentment.

“I guess it’s time to work!” he said while looking up toward the sun, blocking its ray of light that touches his face with one hand.

     He starts rising to the air while his clothes begin to change as his iconic looks consist of long black coats, silver pauldrons, black boots, and black clothing slowly appear covering his body.

When he was high enough, a single big black wing protrude from his back, and somehow it magically didn’t damage the clothes that his wearing.

     Sephiroth begins flying toward the center of the continent. As he flies he watches the land below him, there’s a river, mountains, lush green forests, swamps, and many more but the most noteworthy was an ocean-like body of water inside the continent.

‘It seems that this was the continent unique features!’ he was amazed at what he sees.

Unaware that there was a large body of water that formed and occupies most of the eastern side of this continent because he missed it earlier when he teleported to the center of each continent. But he will check it later after completing what he needed to do.

     Enjoying flying for the first time with a physical body, feeling the air hitting his face while moving forward was wonderful.

‘No wonder, some humans, and even other intelligent beings who don’t have abilities to fly will create something that helps them reach the sky!’

     Seeing that he is close to where he’s going. He begins to descend until his feet touch the ground. A world map projection suddenly appears in front of him. He makes a hand gesture, zooming in on the continent where he was in.

“Now let’s fill this world with life.” He said with a slight smile.

     Firstly, he needs to create a good deal of wildlife that Earth has. Planning to fill this continent with animals from normal to extinct one.

He snaps his finger and after a few breaths, the map projection shows many animals slowly appearing out of thin air. The animals look confused about what’s happening. Their instinct suddenly kicks in and some immediately search for a hiding spot, while some start to look for prey.

     Knowing it takes time for the animals to settle, so he makes a cabin first by cutting some trees.

He wanted to avoid becoming dependent on his creation abilities unless it was necessary, and he wants to feel and experience creating small things using his own two hands.

     After an hour, a shirtless Sephiroth on his black pants and boots, holding a log on his shoulder, walked towards the cabin.

“Seems like it’s finished!” he said while dropping the log beside the cabin.

Walking to where the map projection is, it shows different images of animals already settling in their habitat. With a satisfied look on his face, he looks up and sees that birds are flying freely and circling in the sky.

     Closing the map projection, he walks back toward the handrails of the cabin where his shirt is and puts it on. He wants to inspect personally the result of his work.

Readying himself up with one black wing appearing on his back, he flies away leaving the cabin behind.

     Flying in every corner of the continent, he watches the animals doing their thing and interacting with each other.

“Circle of life.” He said while the lions and their pride were hunting some deer.

He let them be and didn’t interrupt because he knows that here in the wild it’s the law of the jungle that every animal follows.

     Sephiroth lastly go to where the massive body of water is. Where it is seemingly trapped on the east side of the continent. It is like a massive lake but it was made of salt water.

He landed on the shore where he sees different kinds of animals like crabs, seagulls trying to hunt a fish, and many more.

“This water body was huge as if it is the size of a small country!”

He scans the area thoroughly and found that this ocean is deep. There are many kinds of fish that lives in shallow water, but the big ones live in the deep like whales, shark, giant squid, and octopus where the only light source was some bioluminescence flora and plants that grow in the deep sea.

After scanning deeply the ocean in front of him, he finally found out how the ocean manages to appear inside the continent. There’s a huge underwater cavern at the bottom of it. The cavern was so big and long that the other side of it was connected to the outside ocean.

“Guess the mystery is solved,” he said.

     Watching the sea, lost in the rhythmic percussion of waves on sand. His eyes are steady to the horizon, face aglow with the last orange rays before twilight beckons the stars. His lips bear the semblance of a smile, just enough to show that he is enjoying his thoughts, whatever they may be.

“I think it’s time to head back!” he said while teleporting into where his cabin is.

     Appearing inside his cabin where there is one bedroom, a shower room, and a kitchen table.

Sephiroth build a cabin base on what humans needed. He feels that maybe it’s because of part of the human soul inside him.

He also yearns for eating, sleeping, and even cleaning himself up.

“What a day!” he said while snapping his finger, the room suddenly light up.

Instead of using his power, he starts removing his clothes one by one and throwing them into his pocket dimension.

He walks inside the bathroom to take a bath.

     Sephiroth walked out of the shower room only in his boxer and feels refreshed, then he goes to where the kitchen table is and sit.

“I have an idea of what I do about the remaining continents,” he said while food on a plate materialize in front of him.

Savoring the food, he finishes it with a satisfied expression.

Suddenly, the dishes started to float slowly, and then it goes to the sink.

     Getting off his chair, Sephiroth moves toward the bedroom, leaving behind the clattering noises coming from the sink where the plate is.

“It’s delicious dish, maybe I try to cook that recipe later,” he said while lying down on his bed.

Looking at the window beside his bed, he sees the moon was up and brighter, together with countless shining stars across the night sky.

‘I wonder if I will have a dream tonight?’ he asks himself while slowly closing his eyes.

     A few moments later there’s no more sound can be heard inside the cabin, even the lights that were previously illuminated inside it were long gone.

All that was left was the sound of insects chirping throughout the night.

     The rising sun cast a rosy hue across the morning sky and the golden fingers of sunlight lit up the scene where everyone it touches becomes full of life.

In front of a cabin, a man can be seen standing and gesturing his hands left and right as if he is touching something in the air in front of him.

     This man was Sephiroth who woke up early to continue his work where he left yesterday.

“Seems like I was right about putting these creatures on this continent,” he was zooming in and out of the map projection, and observing it.

He was looking at one of the continents located in the northern part of the world. It has many gigantic trees that can be the size of a hill, but the most notable one was in the middle of it was the biggest tree with red and pink leaves on it.

The tree with red and pink leaves was so massive that it is taller than the tallest mountain on Earth.

     After checking all the places and biomes on the map, he proceeds to start creating the things in his mind, then he walks away from the projection map intending to have breakfast first.

“I hope there’s no problem later… since they have a habit of migrating from one place to another,” he said while chewing the food in his mouth.

He wants to fill his world with different creatures, ranging from normal to fictional ones. But he didn’t want to create any humans, even knowing that humanity or any intellectual being can make his world progress faster.

Maybe he will consider it in the future. But for now, he wants his world to remain as it is.

     Finishing his food and walking toward the map projection that shows many kinds of images consisting of monsters.

“Seems like many turf war was going on!”

Seeing what’s happening to the north continent now. He wonders if one continent is enough because of many high-tier monsters are fighting for dominance.

“I forgot how many Deviljho I created… well, it doesn’t matter because north continent is big!” he said while looking at one of the image in front of him.

     Near the volcanic area, the Deviljho caught the Rathian in surprise, trying to eat it, but the Rathalos came to save it. Now it’s two versus one, and there’s no sign of the ongoing fight will end soon.

Sephiroth didn’t know if it was good or bad to add these monsters into his world, since he added all the monsters in the Monster Hunter series. Some of these monsters are natural disasters that can travel from one continent to another, like the Fatalis. Good thing he only makes twenty of those.

“Well, it doesn’t matter, I will see what I can do if a problem arises!”

     He changed the map projection to the southern part of his world, which another continent was in. Here he plans to put different kinds and species of dragons and make it a dragon continent.

This continent’s remarkable feature was there’s a massive chasm in it. It was located in the north area of the continent where it’s like a giant pit consisting of many caves inside it, and it’s also the deepest land formation in his world.

     Tapping the map projection, he begins to create thousands of dragons. While waiting for them to settle themselves, on the side of the screen he watches a Lagiacrus in the ocean hunting for its food. It didn’t go further deep, since it feels that something was out there beneath the ocean.

‘This monster’s instincts are remarkable!’ he amusingly thought, looking at the Lagiacrus.

     Before he split the continent apart after he finished creating his planet. He created some creatures and put them beneath in the deepest part of the world where there’s no light can reach.

They were asleep before, but now they are awake. Maybe it’s because of the earthquake that he used to split the continent apart and the appearance of many lifeforms in the world. But they remain dormant for the time being.

     Moments later, watching many monsters interacting and battling each other, but some of them did not end well.

He looks in the middle of the screen and sees that the dragons are everywhere. The sky, the land, and even the sea.

Moreover, there are over fifty alpha dragons that scatter throughout the continent, beginning to take the smaller dragons with them. But the most notable alpha dragon was the one who reside in the deepest part of the chasm.

Different from a typical alpha species like Bewilderbeast, it has massive black wings, scales dark as night, and has two black horns on its head. It’s his only one-of-a-kind creation, and its name was Ancalagon.

“Good thing I put alpha dragons far away from each other! If I’m not, there’s an all-out war between dragons on their first day in the world!” looking at the screen where the alphas start giving commands to the dragons under its wings.

     Knowing that his done in the southern continent, he raised his head and look at the sun.

“Let's take a break since it is almost midday.”

Closing the map projection, he walks inside his cabin.

The North Continent.

     Somewhere in a misty forest, near the river, there’s like a wolf pup who seems lost. It has white fur around its body, with a tiny yellow horn on its head.

It walks along the riverbank while sniffing something on the ground. Suddenly something caught its attention and hurriedly hide inside the bush.

     It is a Gargwa, which is a flightless big fat bird with vestigial wings, a long neck, and a wide beak. It suddenly appear not far from the bush like it was chasing something.

     Seeing that the bird was getting near the bush, the pup suddenly feel hungry. In its eyes, it can only see prey that can help satiate its empty stomach.

     The Gargwa suddenly stops and starts pecking something in the air. Since the sun is still up it’s hard to see what it was eating, but looking closer to it there’s an insect that emits electricity around it, and it’s called a Thunderbug.

     When the bird was busy eating and seems distracted, the pup immediately pounces on the Gargwa, but it fell short because of its small body and limbs causing the bird to look surprised and immediately release a kick that hits the pup's head causing it to stumble backward.

The pup tried to stand, but it feels a little dizzy because of the kick it receives.

     Surprisingly, the Gargwa that always runs away after it finished attacking was slowly walking toward the pup. It gains some courage after seeing that the pup was weak enough to stand properly.

So, it plans to give the pup more kicks until it was dead.

     Shaking its head, the pup was trying to make the dizziness go away while looking in front of where the Gargwa is.

     As the Gargwa reaches the pup and is ready to give it an endless kick, suddenly something flies inside the pup's fur.

The pup’s body begins to produce electricity causing it to clear its head out of dizziness, then it looks at Gargwa who was frozen in fear.

     In the last effort of Gargwa to save its life, it turns back and tries to run away. But a sudden strong electric shock hits it, causing the bird to fall off the ground lifelessly.

     Seeing the prey was dead, the pup begin to release a triumphal roar, but only a little sound came out.

Looking at its first successful hunt, the pup starts devouring it while looking left and right after a few bites it makes.

     Suddenly, a bug came out of its fur, and it is a Thunderbug. Countless Thunderbugs flew out and surround the pup as if they were dancing in the air and patiently waiting for it to finish its meal.

Inside the Cabin.

     During his break, Sephiroth begin to customize the interior of the cabin. While the outside still looks the same, the inside gets a massive makeover.

Formerly it’s only having one bedroom, a dining area, and a shower room, but now it has become spacious like a three-story building.

“Thanks to my spatial skill, I manage to expand the space within the cabin! If I ever go to another world, I will also bring this cabin because this was the first I’ve ever created using my own two hands!” he said with a smile on his face.

     It’s true, he created it with his hand without using his abilities.

On the other hand, the tools and equipment he used to build the cabin were a product of using his ability.

“Let’s see, there’s a bedroom on the third floor together with a shower room, on the second floor was my mini library and lastly on the first floor was my dining and working area,” looking at the list in his hand. “Now let’s get back to where I left!”

He walks toward the sofa and sits. Looking at the window where the rain starts pouring.

“Looks like rain, too bad it’s still noon!”

Opening the map projection in front of him, he zooms into the eastern part of the world where another continent is.

     This continent has a massive mountain in the center of it, and its uniqueness comes from the four seasons that are evenly divided into four parts of the mountain.

     There’s a part where spring is. Most of the area has vibrant green colors, wildflowers are blooming and trees was so lively that it’s like dancing when the wind blows gently on them.

     There is also the part where the summer is. It has a warmer mood around it, where the grass was golden yellow and fruits on trees that seem already ripe.

And even though it was nighttime in this part of the mountain, the breeze was still warm.

     In the part where autumn is, red and yellow colors are everywhere thanks to the leaves that started to fall from the trees.

     And lastly, the part where the winter is. Every part of it was covered with snow, that’s all there’s to it.

     Sephiroth looks seriously at the map projection. He taps every part of it that looks like he places something in there.

“Let’s see what surprise bringing these beasts into my world!”

     In the eastern continent, Sephiroth put some mythical beasts in his memories, but not all of them. He creates Phoenixes, Minotaur, some mythical dragons, and many more.

He knows that some of them already exist on another continent like dragons in the south, yet he still proceeds to go with his plan and create them. Because someday the creatures he made in each continent will interact or make conflict with each other, and maybe even migrate from one continent to another.

     Like last time, while waiting for them to familiarize themselves with their surrounding, Sephiroth turns his attention to the remaining and last continent located in the western part of the world.

     The western continent, like all other continents in the world, also has many biomes.

It also has a uniqueness of its own.

If the other continent was a whole one piece of land intact, this continent consisted of large and small islands like it was the size of a small country, which makes this continent the largest archipelago in the world.

“For this continent, let’s put magical creatures in it that belong to the Fantastic Beast franchise,” he said while looking forward to it.

     He begins to start working, creating, and thinking about where he should put the magical creatures.

After all the work, he just needs to wait.

Glancing out the window and sees that it's stopped raining.

     Walking outside and taking a deep breath, he smells something unique. It is like a jasmine-and-gingerbread fragrance, warm and fresh, and it laves the land with sweetness.

“Smells refreshing!” he said, continuously taking a deep breath.

He looks up to see that the bird starts showing up again and seems happily flying in the sky. Now he can tell that his world was truly alive with the first rainbow appearing on the horizon.

     Leaning forward on the ledge of the cabin while observing his surrounding. He can see that only small animals are living nearby, and the big predators are trying to stay away from his cabin.

“Now I have a name for this continent, let’s call it Midhaven.”

That name popped out of his mind suddenly after seeing his surrounding.

“Midhaven… since this continent is at the center of five continents, and I want this continent exclusive for the normal animals and wildlife only for now,” nodding his head a little.

     Continuing observing the little animals doing their things when he suddenly realizes that he lost himself enjoying the surrounding scenery, and it’s late afternoon already.

Opening the map projection in front of him, the screen shows multiple images.

On the right was the eastern continent showing some Phoenixes flying towards the volcano, a Manticore seems fighting a Chimera, and lastly a group of Unicorn running in the open field.

There are many more mythical beasts roaming around the continent, so he decides to check it later up close.

     He turns his attention to the left side of the screen, where the different images from the western continent are.

There are many magical beasts on different islands of the archipelago, like a Thunderbird where rain follows wherever it flies, a Nundu walking silently in the middle of the jungle, and a Basilisk nesting inside a cavern.

“At last, I’m done with my objectives,” he said while walking outside the cabin. “It’s only the first day I created them and there are so many deaths happening around the world!”

He didn’t bother about the deaths of the creatures he made, since death was a natural thing and an essential part of life, especially in a world full of beasts and monsters.

‘Good thing I made a system that a soul can go to!’ he thought as he starts flying slowly.

     When he was creating worlds in his universe, he didn’t forget to add a soul system in case some lifeforms suddenly emerged or evolve on that planet.

He didn’t make things complicated like putting heaven, hell, nirvana, and many more like some other universe and dimension he knows.

The soul system he creates is conveniently enough that if a living being dies, its soul will go to the Lifestream. It stays there for a period of time until the soul was ready to return to the world of the living and start its journey of life again.

     While up in the sky, Sephiroth suddenly thought of something interesting.

“Looks like I always open my wing whenever I fly now! Even though I didn’t even need it to fly,” he said while looking at his one wing.

     Sephiroth continues flying while thinking about how to spend the rest of his afternoon.

‘My mind feels tired! I need to relax for now!’

Flying aimlessly above Midhaven and watching the animals below readying themselves for the upcoming night. He enjoys seeing his creations work hard in this unforgiving world.

     After touring around the Midhaven, Sephiroth decides to go back after he sees that it’s almost sunset. With a cold breeze hitting his body, he flies back while trying to race against the setting sun.

In Midhaven.

     Inside the bamboo forest, a faint slicing and slashing sound can be heard.

“It’s really satisfying to train the sword skill rather than instantly mastering it!” he said while looking at the long odachi in his hand.

This man was Sephiroth who trained his sword skill a thousand times.

     A year has passed since he finished his objective to fill the world with life and there’s no problem so far. The creatures, beasts, dragons, and monsters he creates didn’t even bother to leave the continent where they are in.

He thinks that it’s because of how big the continent is, they didn’t even bother to explore for now.

So this past year, Sephiroth also tries many things without relying on some of his abilities, like training his sword skill in Masamune.

He somehow finds it satisfying every time he finished something through his hard work.

     Suddenly, something white ran in his direction. It’s a white tiger cub with a little mouse in its mouth.

“Byakko every time you hunt, you didn’t need to show it to me, ok!” he bends down and pats its little head.

The white tiger cub named Byakko just looks at him and seems to understand what he said. It just runs to the side, leaving Sephiroth to continue his training.

     He found the white tiger cub a month ago when he was on his routinely flying throughout the world. Seeing it in the snowy region part of Midhaven where the pack of wolves cornered it to the cliff.

Looking at the white tiger cub who’s shaking from cold, it still didn’t back down and want to fight till the end.

     While watching, he suddenly thought of something, he wants to experience raising a pet. Decided to raise that white tiger cub, so he intervened by scaring off the wolves.

He picks up the white tiger cub and brought it to his arm. At first, it wants to escape a few times. Trying to squirm its body out of his grasp until it passes out of exhaustion.

     As Sephiroth continues to practice, he suddenly sensed something.

“Interesting!” he said, lowering his Masamune.

Looking in the direction where he sensed something.

“Byakko, just wait here ok,” he said teleporting away from the area.

Byakko raises its head, looking to the spot where Sephiroth previously is. Seeing that his nowhere to be seen, it just continues munching the meat in front of it, knowing that he will be back shortly.

     Sephiroth appears at the side of the cliff where in front of him was the great ocean that separates the continent apart from each other.

With a little smile on his face, he can see that something fast was coming.

“In just a year and you’re already trying to explore the world!” he said with a smirk.

Turning around and walking where he expected it to land. Suddenly, a gust of wind blows and is followed by a shadow passing him from the sky.

It drops in front of him, making the area covered with dust.

     A few seconds later, the dust has already dissipated, causing it to reveal what it looks like.

It was big and has many white spikes covering its black body, from its black wings to its tail. Not only that, but it also has two massive horns similar to a bull.

“Your kind was not supposedly here!” he said, face to face with the monster while reverse grip holding the Masamune in his right hand.

The monster somehow understands some words coming out of his mouth, and it didn’t like every single thing he said.

It flies for weeks across the great ocean and all it can see was this little thing telling that it’s not welcome here.

It’s furious, hungry, and tired. Since it didn’t see Sephiroth as a threat, it decides that the little thing in front of it will be its first meal in this land.

     Seeing that the monster in front of him was ready to attack.

“Oh! You prefer not to talk, huh!” he said.

With a wave of his hand, a portal suddenly appears below the monster, causing the monster to fall inside it.

“I expect that a Fatalis was the first to leave the north continent, but I was wrong!” he said, making the Masamune disappear in his hand.

Looking at the empty area where the monster was before.

“Nergigante huh!”

     Creating a ball of light in his palm. He cast it out in the sky, and slowly a dense fog manifested itself surrounding the continent.

Dusting his hands in a satisfied manner, “That will do! From now on, it will prevent creatures on the other continents from finding the Midhaven.”

     After Sephiroth feels that everything is in place, he takes a final glance at where the great ocean is, then he teleported back to where Byakko is.

……….

The North Continent.

     In the area where there is a vast desert with muddy marshes, twisted canyons, branching caverns, and sandy dunes, something unexpected happens.

Out of nowhere, a portal appears in the sky, followed by something falling out of its mouth.

     It was the Nergigante who Sephiroth encountered before, he teleported it back to the northern continent.

     The Nergigante that falling on its back is trying to regain its posture by landing on its feet.

     When the Nergigante land on sandy ground, it slips a little, but it successfully manages to get its bearing.

Looking up to the sky where the closing portal is, it releases a furious roar.

Its roar reverberate throughout the vicinity and some monsters near it started running away like the Barroth and Cephadrome. While the monster like Diablos who rest inside some cavern has awakened and a Glavenus who was busy with something raised its head looking in the direction where the roar is.

     The Nergigante immediately flies away after seeing that the portal was closed, it needs to hunt for some food since it was starving after flying for a long time.

……….

In Midhaven.

     It’s been months since he encounters the Nergigante, and these past few months he saw it anywhere around the world.

There’s been a sighting of different Nergigante coming from the southern continent and picking a fight with some dragons there.

Even in the west and east continent, a Nergigante fought with a Nundu and a Chimera.

He let the Nergigante be since it’s their nature to wander from one place to another.

     Sephiroth getting ready for his daily routine which consists of having to eat three times a day, going to his workshop where he crafted and recreated many things from armor to sword and many more, checking and playing with Byakko whose size of a dog now, who happens to be a female tiger. And lastly, flying around the world, observing how it grows and evolves on its own.

     But he was unaware that this day will be a different one.

“Byakko… I’m going to leave, try not to hunt too far!” he shouts to where it is.

Byakko who was lying down on the lawn and bathing under the sun raises her head and look at him. It releases a low growl like she’s saying ok.

     As Sephiroth flies, he first visited the southern continent where he wants to check Ancalagon.

     The dragon first meets Sephiroth when he was inspecting a group of dragon species called Night Fury that is nesting in one of the caves at the pit’s mouth.

     Ancalagon sense something and got curious, so it crawls up from the deepest part of the chasm toward his location.

Because of this, the dragons living in the chasm scared and immediately hide in their caves.

     When Sephiroth sense this, he makes his presence known so that Ancalagon can easily spot and see him. He asked the dragon why it loves to be alone, but Ancalagon didn’t answer him back and just crawl down back to its nest again.

     After that day, whenever he has time, Sephiroth always visit Ancalagon in his solitude and talk to it about many things. But the dragon rarely responds to his stories.

     The next place he visited was the eastern continent, where he meets a Black Phoenix who rules the Phoenixes residing in the east. He got acquainted with it when it senses him flying in the area.

Sephiroth asks how can it sense him, the Black Phoenix answered by saying that a Phoenix was sensitive to life energy, and he has so much of it!

     After visiting the Black Phoenix he goes to the west continent which were the largest archipelago in the world.

He always likes to take a break here whenever he goes out. He has a fishing spot here, where the other side of the river was the cave where a massive snake with three heads called Runespoor is nesting. Furthermore, he always likes to tease it whenever he grilled an Elephant Tuna that he caught. Trying to lure it out of the cave a few times, but eventually, he still gave the rest of the tuna before leaving.

     Lastly, he goes to the northern continent where he pays attention for months now. Some of its regions were showing signs of Frenzy Virus that cause by Gore Magala.

The good thing is, there is a red and pink leaf that falls from giant trees and scatter through every region of the continent has some medicinal effect. It somehow manages to dispel the Frenzy Virus outside the infected monster upon contact, the virus only lasts for a few minutes before disappearing completely.

     But Sephiroth worries that if Gore Magala leaves the continent and goes to another one that has no giant trees with red and pink leaves. He imagines that it would be a disaster.

“Should I intervene if some Gore Magala leave the north continent?” he talks to himself while flying to the region where Gore Magala is.

“I hope they stay for now at the north continent, but since Nergigante manages to leave… they also can!”

     Suddenly, he stops flying and looks down at the clearing.

“Looks interesting!”

He sees a quadrupedal monster with superficially lupine features that is slightly taller than him, together with its hulking size body.

If someone looks closely, it has high developed limbs, sharp fangs, and claws. With two golden horns and large spikes that travel from the back towards its long wide tail.

It also has white fur in some parts of its body like at the back and on its legs that somehow have larger forelegs.

     This ferocious-looking monster was a Zinogre who had only been in its juvenile phase.

But this young Zinogre has many wounds all over its body and the cause of it was the monster in the front.

     The young Zinogre was engaged in an ongoing battle with the monster which was three times its size. This monster who also like the Zinogre had a hulking figure that bears some resemblance to a tiger.

The monster is called a Magnamalo, which is primarily clad in purple and yellow plates of armor, with a red underbelly. The head has a short, tigrine snout, holds two foldable tusks under its cheeks, and sports a large pair of jagged yellow horns, just underneath which are its long, thin ears.

     Flying down and sitting in the branches of trees near where the two monsters are. Sephiroth wants to see the fight closer and he is not afraid to be discovered by the two because he can make his presence disappear completely.

Even the whole world can’t sense and find him if he wanted to.

     In the clearing where the young Zinogre continuously attacks and dodges at the same time with all its might but the attacks seem ineffective against Magnamalo who brushes it off like it was nothing.

Even all the Zinogre’s fur and previously flat spikes were standing which indicates it was in a charge state, but it is useless in front of Magnamalo who also attacked with something like purple gas that combusts and explodes upon release. And because of this explosion, many Thunderbugs were caught and burned to death.

     The Zinogre was enraged by the loss of many Thunderbugs causing it to start charging up electricity all over its body.

Suddenly, it pounces fast toward the Magnamalo.

Using its claws, the young Zinogre manages to land a hit on Magnamalo's face.

“That hit was clean straight to the face!” Sephiroth said with a hint of excitement shown on his face.

     The Magnamalo push back a little because of the strike that young Zinogre does.

Feeling a little wound on its face, the Magnamalo narrows its eyes and suddenly jumps forward to the air, then using its thin sharp tail it attacks the Zinogre multiple times.

     The young Zinogre wanted to dodge, but it can’t do anything because of the Magnamalo's relentless attack. All it can do was trying to defend against the incoming attack.

     A few seconds later, the young Zinogre has many cuts appear all over its body. It’s also feeling exhausted after enduring the Magnamalo’s relentless assaults.

     Feeling that the little monster cannot last any longer, the Magnamalo immediately jumps to the air then it somersaults while using the blades of its tail-tips, whipping the young Zinogre, causing it to slide back and then fall to the ground.

After attacking, the Magnamalo starts walking slowly towards the Zinogre, planning to finish it off completely.

     The young Zinogre who was on the verge of collapse sees that the Magnamalo slowly getting nearer and nearer.

Trying to stand up, the Zinogre want to face the Magnamalo with its head up high, but its body and legs were shaking because of tiredness and wounds that it received, causing it to fall again and lay flat on the ground like there was no energy left inside its body.

“Too bad the young Zinogre looks promising! If given time, it can become one of the apex predators in this continent.” Sephiroth said, standing up from where he was sitting.

Shaking his head, he prepares to fly away from the area. But he feels something stopping him from leaving.

He glances at where the two monsters are and amuse by what he sees.

Instead of looking at the incoming foe, the Zinogre eyes look straight through the trees behind the Magnamalo where he is.

“Interesting!” he said when their eyes met.

Sephiroth sees in the eyes of young Zinogre that it still wants to continue and fight, but too bad its body can’t keep up with its fighting spirit.

     When the Magnamalo was close to where the lying Zinogre is, it suddenly stops. The Magnamalo begins to release some purple gas into its pores, then some of it slowly turn pink and combusts.

It’s like the Magnamalo charging up the flames on its body and planning to unleash something big.

     Seeing this, the young Zinogre wants to roar but it cannot lift its head anymore.

     Then suddenly something fell from the sky.

     Between them appear a little creature standing on its two legs.

     The Magnamalo who was readying its attack suddenly stop for a moment and observe first the little creature in front, it didn’t sense anything coming from it.

And the Magnamalo dislikes this feeling, but its instinct tells that not to attack this creature. Even though the Magnamalo was one of the most arrogant creatures in this land but it trusts in its instinct more than itself.

     Suddenly, it heard something.

The Magnamalo finds out that this little creature in front was the one who's making a noise like it’s communicating.

And the Magnamalo somehow understands it.

“Can you do me a favor and just leave this monster with me?”

Hearing this, the Magnamalo makes a low growl sound like it asking something.

“I’m a human, and I’m called Sephiroth.”

     The Magnamalo didn’t make a sound and just stare at this little creature called a human, it is thinking about what action it takes.

It observes the human while remaining vigilance. This is the first time the Magnamalo faced this kind of situation where it didn’t know what to do.

Usually, when it encounters a foe or prey, it can find a calculative way to deal with it. But this time its instinct says that it can’t do anything in this little thing, that if the Magnamalo chose to fight it is not going to end well.

     The Magnamalo was thinking deeply and staring intensely at the little creature called a human when it heard talking again.

“I know you can understand me, but you didn’t know the meaning of some word I spoke!” he pauses a bit and looks into the eyes of Magnamalo. “Can you leave this poor creature alone?!”

     As their eyes stare at each other, the Magnamalo suddenly releases a deafening roar in the face of Sephiroth, trying to gauge and see if it can scare him.

But Sephiroth was unfazed and didn’t even flinch by the roar.

Sephiroth just briefly closes his eyes and opens them again, but now it’s different, he releases a small amount of pressure targeting only the monster in front of him.

      Feeling now the threat and pressure coming from Sephiroth, the Magnamalo felt suffocated and hard to breathe because of it. Like it sees a shadow of a big monster behind him.

Because of this, the Magnamalo finally decides to leave for now. Slowly retreating warily while looking at Sephiroth.

And when the Magnamalo reaches a certain distance, it turns towards the dense forest. But before leaving it looks behind where the Zinogre is, it’s like giving a warning.

After that, the Magnamalo finally run away, leaving the clearing behind.

     Seeing that the Magnamalo is gone, Sephiroth decides to continue his objective and leave. He prepares to fly when something makes a noise like a growl coming behind his back.

He looks behind his shoulder, where the young Zinogre is.

“Next time, you carefully pick who you mess with!” he said, opening his wing.

The young Zinogre makes a weak growl again and looks mad.

“Alright, you don’t need to do anything, and I’m going to leave now!”

     Because of its pride, the young Zinogre disliked the feeling of indebtedness.

It feels like it needs to do something in exchange for the one who saves its life.

Sephiroth shakes his head and sigh.

“Alright then you can come with me for now.”

The young Zinogre eyes lit up and wanted to stand, but it can’t move because of the injuries all over its body.

     Looking at the young Zinogre who was trying so hard to move, he felt bad somehow. So, he teleports himself and the young monster back to Midhaven where his cabin is.

……….

In Midhaven.

     Early morning, Sephiroth was sitting in the wooden chair outside the cabin and in front of him was a bunch of tools scattered all over the wooden table.

     On the side, there’s Byakko who was already big as an adult tiger. She was usually in the pond near the cabin, watching the fish inside it.

     Not far away was the previously young Zinogre who was sleeping under the shades of the trees. It’s fully grown now, but its size was a little smaller compared to the adult Zinogre and Magnamalo.

     It has been months since he encounters the young Zinogre.

At first, when he brought back the wounded Zinogre, Byakko was warily and scared. She hides somewhere around the cabin and didn’t show herself for a day.

Because he finds it funny, Sephiroth just leaves Byakko alone.

Sephiroth also make a big shed enough for the Zinogre who he discovered a male to recuperate there naturally.

He did not heal it because he wants it to learn from the consequences of what happens if it picks up a fight recklessly.

     It takes weeks for the Zinogre to finally heal. But the most surprising was within the weeks that the Zinogre unable to move, Byakko who was previously scared always visit the Zinogre out of curiosity. She even brings some food every day at the door of the shed where Zinogre is.

     Sephiroth let Byakko continue what it’s doing.

After the Zinogre fully healed up, it hunts bigger prey like elephants and presents it to Byakko.

Byakko was shocked about it, so in the end, Sephiroth finally intervened. And now they sometimes hunt together, but it was Byakko who usually does the hunting and Zinogre was lazing around since it feels that no creatures can match it in this kind of place.

     For now, Sephiroth was busy recreating some suits of armor. His now unto Kamen Rider Suits. But all he recreates, and original creations were only for display, and he didn’t plan to put on any of those. He only likes to build it up from scratch and assemble it one by one.

He rarely leaves Midhaven now because of the projects he’s working on, but he still visits Ancalagon occasionally.

     When Sephiroth was still trying to figure out where to put the parts of the suit, suddenly a screen appear on his side.

“Raiju… want to come with me?” he shouts towards the Zinogre who’s lying down under the shades of the tree.

Hearing Sephiroth the Zinogre who was now named Raiju begins to stand up and walk in the direction where Sephiroth is.

As it walks, the Thunderbugs that are scattered in the surrounding trees begin to fly inside its fur.

     Seeing it wants to come, he snaps his finger causing the things above the table to disappear.

“Byakko… be a good girl, we’re only gone for a short while!”

As if Byakko doesn’t hear the word he said, it just continuously watches the fish swimming in the pond.

     When he sees that Raiju was near, he stands up from his seat and creates a portal. They both enter the portal together, leaving Byakko who still wagging her tail left and right in front of the pond.

……….

The south continent.

     In the region where the Rocky Mountains and desert wasteland are, something is happening.

In normal times, the nighttime in this area was too cold, but this night was different because a portion of the desert wasteland becomes hot as day.

It is all thanks to multiple fireballs that shoot up and illuminate the sky as if it were daytime.

     Not far away, two silhouettes appear on top of a big boulder.

“Oh! It’s already shed its skin!”

     One of the silhouettes said. It has long silver hair, and the only one who was that kind of hair in the world was Sephiroth.

He and Raiju both appeared when the fireballs started to shoot up in the sky.

“Look there Raiju if you want to be on top you just need to be like or surpass them!”

     Looking at where Sephiroth's pointing is. It can see an ongoing battle between monsters. There’s one monster in the sky who was besieged by countless flying creatures ranging from small to large.

     Since Sephiroth and Raiju have no problem seeing in the dark, they can see that the one who besieges by dragons has a gold color with horns on its head.

     It was none other than Shagaru Magala who newly sheds its skin.

     It was trying to challenge an alpha dragon, a black Bewilderbeast who was nesting in this desert. Furthermore, it conceals its body beneath the sand, only leaving its head and big tusk exposed. It watches the sky where its dragons were attacking the one who challenges it.

The frenzy virus caused by Shagaru Magala was useless on Bewilderbeast, but it still affects most of the dragons. But since the Bewilderbeast had some kind of mind control effect on dragons, it’s only giving its army a boost of power.

     The dragons that are infected by it become more aggressive and recklessly attack Shagaru Magala disregarding their safety.

     A few minutes pass by, many dragons fell into the claws of Shagaru Magala. But as time went on, the Shagaru Magala feels weary because the dragons keep chasing and attacking it, like it was a never-ending battle for the Shagaru Magala.

     Looking at the corpses of the dragons that have fallen in the sand, the black Bewilderbeast decides to make its move finally. Coming out underneath the sands revealing its gigantic body that covers by big spikes protruding from the back of the neck, small teeth compared to its body ratio, black coral-like scales throughout its body, and lastly a small pair of wings with tail-like fins.

But before it begins to charge up its attack, the Shagaru Magala suddenly flies up in the thick clouds causing the dragons and Bewilderbeast to lose sight of it.

“Looks like it decided to escape from the dragons!” Sephiroth said amuse while Raiju in the side watching silently.

     The Shagaru Magala decided to escape and retreat for now since it was outnumbered by the dragons, and it felt that there was a sudden movement below where the giant dragon is. Added to that, it was tired because of battling and repelling the attack of many dragons that trying to surround it.

     The dragons that are still affected by the frenzy virus want to chase Shagaru Magala up in the dark clouds suddenly stop and go back to where the black Bewilderbeast is.

Seeing that the dragons are returning, the black Bewilderbeast roar loudly, dispelling the frenzy virus on the dragon’s body.

‘Seems like I don’t have to worry about frenzy virus now!’ he thought, seeing what the Bewilderbeast do to dispel the frenzy virus.

Sephiroth theorizes that every continent has a way to deal with the Frenzy virus, which was proven by this battle.

“Let’s go back, Raiju!” he said.

     Creating a portal, they left the area where the Bewilderbeast was busy commanding the dragons.

……….

     Years have passed in the blink of an eye since the battle of Shagaru Magala and the army of dragons.

     Many eventful things happen around the world like a white Fatalis battling Ancalagon for seven days and seven nights which both ended up severely wounded but not to the point where they succumb to their injuries.

     An alpha-winged dragon which has two colors consisting of black and white challenged and killed a Hydra on the eastern continent, making its nest in the swamp where the previous Hydra lived.

     The most peaceful one was the West continent, where the magical creature is.

As if the creatures from other continents didn’t see the archipelago and only a few select ones manage to find it, like the Nergigante.

     Sephiroth finds out that the cause of it is the illusion of a fog that surrounds the whole continent.

But unlike the one he created to hide the Midhaven in the whole world, the fog in the western continent only hinders someone who enters and leaves. Whether someone or some creatures can pass through the thick fog or the murky waters below is up to how persistent are they.

     This morning in Midhaven was a different one. The area where there was supposedly a cabin was empty. The only thing left in the clearing is Sephiroth who was standing in front of the map projection, and Byakko who was in her usual place in the morning while lying on the grass.

Suddenly Raiju came out of the woods followed by Thunderbugs going inside its fur, it’s walking toward where Sephiroth is.

Looking at Raiju who was approaching him slowly. “Did you get all of them?”

But he found the answer to the question he asked when the last Thunderbug got inside the Raiju’s fur.

“We’re leaving shortly,” he said with a smile on his face.

“Byakko get here!” he shouted towards the white tiger who was lying on the grass enjoying the morning sun.

Byakko run up behind him where Raiju was lying. She sometimes loves to lie down and rest on Raiju’s fur because she loves how the Thunderbugs tickle her.

And the Zinogre seems doesn’t mind at all since its body was bigger than an elephant in contrast to the white tiger Byakko who was as big as a cow.

     Looking behind him, Sephiroth has a little smile on his face. He plans to leave this world accompanied by the two behind him. They agreed to come with him when he asked them to go on an adventure.

     In the past month, he visits and bids farewell to all the monsters, beasts, and creatures he gets known in the past couple of years and says that he will be back again.

And lastly, he also visited the creatures he first created that lie in the deepest part of the world. He gave them some instructions and bid farewell.

“Now all set!” he said, closing the screen in front of him.

Sephiroth turn around and face both Byakko and Raiju who were standing up when they see him finish what he was doing.

“We’re leaving, and it takes time before we get back in this place again where we live for years… so any of you want to back down?”

He gets the answer to his question when Raiju starts howling as loud as it can and Byakko starts roaring louder than ever as if they’re bidding goodbye to this place.

“No need to be sad because we can still come back here,” he said while turning around again, but this time he was wielding a sword.

It was the Yamato who he forged it himself. It takes a couple of months to finish the forging process and this improve version of Yamato was able to cut anything even space itself.

Although he can open a portal leading to another world, reality, and universe. He chooses to use the Yamato as a medium to hop and travel or open up a portal because it was cooler that way.

     Sephiroth looks down on his attire which consists of his black cloak, silver shoulder pads, black pants, and black boots.

He nodded after seeing that there is no problem with his clothes, then he pulled the Yamato to its scabbard and cross-slash the space in front of him, causing it to open a portal.

“A random portal connects to a random world! What kind of adventure and experience give this world to me?” he just smiles a little. “Let’s go!”

     The trio starts walking inside the portal, leaving the world and universe he created toward the unknown.
