A few days later.

Ashton wiggled his stubby arms and water splashed everywhere. He was inside his baby bathtub, the one Daniel bought from the baby store that one time. Little Ash enjoyed bathing so much that he was always smiling as he played with his rubber duckies and boats.

Daniel who was now no longer worried about his baby slipping also had a smile on his face. He had a soft bubbly sponge in his hand that he used to clean Ashton's body in soft circular motions. "You really like being in the water huh? Does my little boy want to be a swimmer? You're gonna have a lot of girl fans if you do."

"What girl fans?!" Samantha sauntered inside the bathroom carrying a fluffy bath towel with her. "My baby only needs me as his one and only fan. Isn't that right sweetie?" She poked his cute cheeks, making the little boy giggle.

"But you can't always be with him, this little guy will grow and have girlfriends when he does."

"But he'll still be my baby even until then. No girlfriends. Only mommy."

"You're being silly," Daniel chuckled. "That will be embarrassing for him."

"I'll be embarrassing for him?" Placing her hand on her chest, Samantha pretended to be hurt and gasped. "I'm turning into a mom like that huh?" she laughed it off. "Come on, enough bathing. Granpa's almost here."

After Daniel rinsed little Ash, he scooped him out of the baby tub and placed him on Samantha's arms where she wrapped him up nicely.

"Careful," he warned.

"Gosh! You're becoming heavy. How can my baby grow so fast?" Samantha brought baby Ash to the bed and dried him up with the towel.

"He'll be one year soon…" Daniel chose a shirt and pants from Ashton's closet and gave it to Samantha. As always, Daniel has such great taste in clothes that Samantha didn't complain about his choices. He dresses little Ashton just as he would to himself so the father and son pair always resembled each other. He was so proud of it and Samantha obviously loves it just as much.

"Yeah, what do you want to do on his first birthday?" Samantha asked as soon as she finished putting clothes on Ash.

"Whatever you want, honey. We don't need to have a big celebration."

"I've been thinking about that too. I also only want to have a celebration with our families. But where?" She picked up Ash, passed him over to Daniel before she went to her own closet and started choosing her outfit for that day.

"How about we do it in the Cliffside? We haven't really brought Ash there yet. It will be fun." Daniel placed little Ash in his crib, giving him some toys to keep him entertained so that he could also change his clothes.

"Yeah, I guess we could do that…" Samantha took off her clothes and they fell to the floor just as soon as Daniel walked into her closet.

Seeing Samantha almost naked in that room, a knowing smile fleeted across his face and he lightly slapped Samantha's bottom as he walked passed her.

"Aw! Hey–" Samantha returned a slap on his upper arm and laughed. She found her man becoming playful with her day by day but who was she to complain? They have been apart from each other for too long that they just wanted to make up for the times that they have lost. She then wondered if they were going to stay the same many years later when they're older.

A sudden light bulb interrupted Samantha's thoughts and she brightened, "Daniel, I have an idea," she said as she walked up to him from behind while he had just taken off his shirt, instantly wrapping her arms around his bare torso.

"Hmm? What is it?" Daniel scanned through the rows of shirts that hung in rows. He glanced at Ashton's crib outside the closet briefly before he turned his attention back to the shirts. He picked out a pale blue shirt from the selection to match with Ashton's clothes before he turned around to face Samantha.

"I was thinking… how about we do a charity program for his birthday?" She looked up to him and waited for his response. Daniel saw the anticipation on her face and he couldn't help but pinch her cheeks slightly. Placing the shirt aside, he pulled her closer to him and gave her a long and deep kiss, releasing only when they felt the need to breathe.

"What kind of charity are you thinking?" he asked, stroking her bare skin.

She poked her chin with her finger as though she was thinking and hummed, "Hmmm… how about we visit an orphanage? Wouldn't it be nice to give out clothes, toys, food… I don't know anything that the children may need?"

The corners of Daniel's mouth curled up. His heart was once again touched by this woman's golden heart. "Yes, that would be nice. Anything that you want, my love. I'll support you all the way."

A knock on the door interrupted their conversation. "Sammy? Dan? I think you guys need to come out and see this."

Seo Joon's words made Samantha and Daniel's brows knit in confusion.
