Later, Samantha was on her third Margarita.

She was people watching from where she sat at the corner sofa while the rest of the guests were sh*tfaced drunk. She tried to scan the area in search of her best friend Hannah—but who knows where she was at the moment. Probably locking lips with Harry… Henry? Whatever his name was… Samantha was already buzzed and she couldn't care less what that man's name was.

"All right everyone, keep the shots coming! Tonight's my girl's birthday and no one is allowed to pass." Andrew spoke loudly to everyone in the room, his arm snaking around Samantha's waist as he did. "Happy birthday, Sexy," he whispered in her ear. She gave him a small smile and sipped her margarita in silence.

The guests cheered and screamed, competing with the already loud music inside the private room.

"Yo! Have you heard what happened to Holden last night?" one of Andrew's friends asked as he joined them on the sofa.

"Who do you think did it?" another one questioned.

"No one knows. After all, he has a lot of enemies. But they're investigating it."

Samantha did not react and continued to listen to the men talking.

"Three shots for the birthday girl over here!" One of Andrew's friends came over with a tray of tequila shots.

"Oh no, I'm okay... I don't really do shots," she rejected and waved her hand.

"We won't take no for an answer. C'mon just three shots!" He insisted and side-glanced Andrew.

She contemplated for a second, thinking if she could handle the shots. She wanted to get this over and be done with so she relented. "Okay. But I'm only taking two." Samantha downed the shots and almost instantly, her vision swayed. She was officially drunk. Ugh. What the hell. It was her birthday anyway.

Andrew couldn't keep his hands off her. He got so clingy as he was getting so drunk himself. He pulled Samantha closer and kissed her neck but she felt so stuffy and she wanted to get some air, so she pushed him and excused herself to go to the restroom.

Dragging herself out of the private room in high heels, she supported her weight with her hand on the wall and clumsily walked towards the end of the hall.

This was why she didn't like doing shots. She could barely walk straight and now she felt like she was losing control over her limbs. Her body wasn't cooperative and the room just kept on spinning. 'What am I doing? Who said drinking was fun? So not fun at all,' she thought to herself.

She tried to walk in her condition and when she bumped into a man in front of her, she managed to utter, "Sorry." Without looking at the man, she overtook him and continued to walk.

Daniel Cho was surprised when the woman in a shiny red dress bumped into him. He was on his way to the restroom, heading the same direction as her. He watched as she zigzagged her way towards the lady's room, shaking his head at the sight and thinking to himself that drunk women were so unattractive.

...

After washing up, Samantha left the restroom and saw Andrew waiting for her. She almost stumbled but he caught her just in time. "Babe, you are so drunk right now."

"I wanna go home…"

Hovering over her slender body, he pressed her against the wall and trapped her in place. "Why don't we stay here for the night? I got us a room upstairs," he whispered and started kissing her bare neck.

She tried to push him away but she struggled in her drunken state. "No, Andrew. I wanna go home now."

"C'mon babe, let me take care of you. I promise I'll be gentle." He didn't stop feeling up her body. Stroking his hands up and down her sides, kissing her mouth insistently while Samantha pleaded him to stop.

Andrew courted Samantha for months despite her indifference towards him. And after a year of courtship, she thought: 'Why not? When I get bored with him, I'll just dump him. No big deal.'

Being the son of a CEO of an entertainment agency, Andrew had a lot of connections. Dating him was an advantage for her as it was easier to network that way when she needed it for her own company. Even if she hid her real identity to him, there were a lot of ways to use her resources.

After months of seeing each other, Andrew wanted to cross all the bases but Samantha always found excuses so he had never gotten his way. Because of this, he only became even more thrilled to claim her innocence. Which was why seeing her so vulnerable right now… he couldn't help himself.

Meanwhile, Daniel just left the men's room and caught sight of the scene. He was walking past the couple when he heard the lady faintly rejecting the man. He stopped in his tracks and turned his head towards them, seeing the woman whom he just saw earlier.

Samantha saw Daniel and she tried to mouth the words "Help me" but because she was so drunk, it probably didn't look like how she thought it would.

Noticing Daniel's presence, Andrew snapped at him, "What are you looking at? Do you have a problem with me and my girlfriend? This is none of your business."

Right. It was none of his business. Wordlessly, he turned on his heel and headed towards the lobby where he waited for his assistant. He stood by the reception desk while he browsed his emails on his phone.

"Is Suite 1515 ready?" Just then, Andrew came to the desk, his arm steadying Samantha by the waist. The receptionist kindly confirmed his room and directed him to the elevator. The two passed by Daniel on the way and the latter overheard Samantha slurring her words, "Take me home. Don't want to spend the night with you."

Daniel raised his head and his eyes followed the two who were on their way to the elevators. He could see that the woman—although she was drunk, was clearly opposed to him bringing her to a suite.

Unknowingly, his hand balled into a fist as he narrowed his eyes at the couple. Daniel recalled how the woman looked in the hallway earlier. He saw her move her lips as if she was saying something to him but he couldn't understand what she was mouthing. He now wondered if she was asking for help at that time.

He cursed in his thoughts when he imagined what could happen. He didn't know her but he wouldn't be able to live with himself if something bad happened and he just ignored it. Before he could even stop himself, he had already taken steps forward and followed the two to the elevator.

The three of them were the only ones inside the car. Daniel kept his eyes on his phone as if he wasn't paying attention to the man trying to take advantage of his drunk girlfriend. He knew he could just ignore this… but for some reason, he just couldn't let it go.

They reached the 15th floor and when the two stepped out, he followed after them at a distance. Andrew was far too busy supporting Samantha as they walked to even notice Daniel behind them.

Andrew stopped at his door and searched for his keycard when Samantha tried to get out of his grasp. "Why are we still here? I want to go home."

"You can spend the night with me." He had her pressed against the door to his suite and started kissing her again as he fumbled for his keycard.

"I told you. I don't want to sleep with you! Get off me!" She tried once again.

Frustrated, Andrew squeezed her cheeks harshly. "You are not to disrespect me," he said under gritted teeth.

"You're hurting me. Let me go!" Samantha fought back, trying to slap his hand away from her face but he was too strong for her weakened state.

"You listen—"

"Let her go." Daniel took long strides towards them, his eyes darkening as he glared at Andrew whose hand was still on Samantha's face.

"You again? Who the fûck do you think you are!" Andrew lowered his hand but kept an arm around her.

"Miss, is this asshole bothering you?" Daniel ignored Andrew and turned to Samantha who thought for a second before she nodded. The only confirmation he needed.

"Samantha!" Andrew yelled at her.

Then, a large hand grabbed Samantha by her wrist, yanking her off of Andrew. Her world spun around, making her even sicker as she crashed into Daniel's broad chest.

"Hey! That's my girlfriend!" Andrew tried to reach for her but Daniel kicked him straight in the gut and he fell several feet away.

Daniel's security detail arrived on the floor and immediately grabbed hold of Andrew who went wild after being restrained. "Don't you know who I am, huh? I'm Andrew Park! Who gave you the right to do this?  Let me tell you, I'll have you and your family thrown out in the streets if I want to!"

Assistant Ahn who came with the security detail snorted. He recognized Andrew and knew who his father was but even his father, Hong Min Park, feared the Cho Family. If his father knew about his son's malicious acts, he would probably be the one who will throw his own son out in the streets.

"I don't know who you are and I don't give a fûck. Get him out of here," Daniel ordered his men.

Samantha, who had been trying to stay awake all this time, finally lost consciousness. Daniel caught her in time and tried to wake her up but failed. He sighed and contemplated before he carried her up in his arms.. Already walking towards the elevators, he told his assistant, "Have Suite 1808 ready."
