No Need to Explain, I Believe in You (3)

The two people looked the same as usual. One had a calm look and the other had a casual look. Nobody knew why but the anxiously waiting boys felt a tinge of strangeness.

The two bosses didn’t say much. The chatterboxes from both classes forced out jokes for a long time, but the atmosphere turned colder and gradually, they all shut their mouths.

A boy from Class 1, who was sitting on the edge, carefully nudged Fu Songhua, who was eating. “What’s going on? Did something happen?”

The two classes had been friendly all this time, so why did their relationship suddenly become strained now?

Fu Songhua scratched his head. “Nothing happened. They were still quite fine when we left.”

Ruan Qingmu leisurely sat and unhurriedly ate. Fang Li ran over from afar and held a bowl of pork liver soup, carefully placing it in front of him. “Hurry up and drink this. It’s for blood replenishing.”

Ruan Qingmu halted his chopsticks and felt it was ridiculous. “Who’s bleeding?”

Bai Jing justifiably pointed at the bruise on his arm. “You, ah!”

“That’s right. Sports representative, you shed blood for us. We’re treating you to this to replenish your blood.”

Ruan Qingmu squinted at them. These few guys were really unafraid of him.

He softly mocked. “Get lost.”

Although he scolded in his mouth, his hand still accepted the bowl of pork liver soup. He scooped up a spoonful and frowned in disdain. “Is this pork liver? It’s so tough. Isn’t this chicken gizzard?”

Fu Songhua opposite him and couldn’t help but say, “Hey, hey, be a little grateful. Fang Li was afraid that the soup would be cool long ago, so he especially went to buy it after you arrived here.”

Fuck. This poor ghost, who only ate three yuan a meal, was so picky with food like a pampered son of a wealthy family. He must be some sort of psycho!

Ruan Qingmu let out an “oh” and voluntarily pushed the pork liver soup to him. “Then, you can have it.”

Fu Songhua was furious. He picked up the bowl and drank it all with large gulps. “Pah! Shame on you for wasting it!”

Qin Yuan gently glanced at Ruan Qingmu, wanting to say something but holding back his words.

He picked up the serving chopsticks, took a piece of red braised pork, and placed it on Ruan Qingmu’s plate. Under everyone’s gaze, he indifferently said, “This is well-cooked today. It’s not lean and also not tough.”

Fu Songhua almost couldn’t steadily hold his chopsticks. He turned his head in shock to look at the class monitor.

What has the boss gotten himself into? He was indeed worthy of being known as the big straight guy. He might be afraid that the others would notice that his usually stiff tone had unexpectedly carried a weird tone of pampering that wasn’t there before.

Huhu. After being with the boss for more than a year, he had never been fed before.

The lunch ended in a strange mood.

After eating, everyone went back to their respective classroom.

Since the introduction of the morning exercise class, there were new choices as to where everyone went after the lunch break.

Some people liked to go to their original classes, wanting to chat and hang out with friends. Other people preferred to wait in the afternoon classroom to avoid running all over the place when the class began.

Qin Yuan always directly went to the shifting classroom while Ruan Qingmu was different and went to the original Class 9.

However, there was still more than half an hour today and Ruan Qingmu decided to head to the shifting classroom next.

These days, he was on crutches most of the time with a sick look. Today was the first time he lightly walked like this. Upon seeing him, the students in the competition class felt slightly dazed.

Although the youth had a lean figure, he was pretty upright. His hands were inside his pants pockets and he slowly walked briskly and vigorously.

It was still the same fair and delicate face but something seemed different.

Class 2’s study representative, Li Jianquan was asking Qin Yuan for advice on a chemistry question when he suddenly saw Qin Yuan’s gaze leaving his textbook.

He followed in confusion to take a look. Ah, it was the notorious underachieving student. Was he not on crutches today?

Ruan Qingmu walked to his usual seat and was silent as he leaned against the chair.

After that, he began to tidy up his drawer and desk without looking at anyone.

The things placed here were all the textbooks and materials for afternoon shifting classes – books under the subjects of physics, chemistry, and biology. Most of them were stuffed haphazardly and the test papers that had been returned looked disastrous with bright red crosses in the places where they had been filled.

Ruan Qingmu also didn’t sort them. Instead, he stacked them all together and stuffed them inside the school bag. Li Jianquan looked at him and couldn’t help but ask, “What are you doing?”

Ruan Qingmu stopped his movement, raised his head, and looked at the second ranked boy who had sat in front of him for a month.

“I’m going to class, bro, I’m leaving.” He waved his hand and stood up while picking up his school bag. “Bye-bye.”

Li Jianquan was stunned for a while. “Ah… Okay. Then, which class will you go to?”

Ruan Qingmu smiled. “To the class where I’m supposed to be attending.”

He lowered his eyes, his long thick lashes covering his lower lids, and said in a careless tone, “So, I won’t attend the same afternoon class with you guys any longer.”

He said ‘you guys’ but didn’t look at anyone else. However, Li Jianquan felt that Ruan Qingmu wasn’t talking to him.

On the other side, Qin Yuan maintained his previous posture with a straight back and looked down at the textbook on his desk.

Li Jianquan let out an “oh” and politely said, “That’s also quite good. If you have something you don’t understand, you can come to us and ask.”

Although he was an underachiever, he wasn’t obnoxious at all. Usually, he also wasn’t noisy or drew any sort of attention on himself. He only liked to wear earphones and sit in the back. Except for disturbing big top student Qin occasionally, he didn’t cause any other trouble.

The rumors that said he beat people without blinking, was ruthless and violent, were all nonsense. Although he didn’t like talking with others, he occasionally smiled at top student Qin with a smug and slightly sweet look.

The top students in the competition class were always quiet before class, waiting for the bell for the afternoon class to ring.

Ruan Qingmu walked to Qin Yuan’s side, took out a bottle of juice, and placed it on his desk.

“It’s on me, not Niu Xiaoqing.” He added as if remembering something. “Oh right, it’s hawthorn flavored and not orange juice.”

Without waiting for Qin Yuan to reply, he flipped the school bag to his back with one hand and swayed to the door.

Qin Yuan raised his head and his phoenix eyes followed after him, his gaze like the surface of a lake being swept by the autumn breeze.

“If you have something you don’t understand, no need to come here and ask.” His slightly magnetic and clear voice broke the silence; every word was spoken clearly. “I will explain it to you when you return to our dorm room at night.”

Ruan Qingmu paused in his steps.

After a long time, he didn’t turn around and only waved his hand behind his back. “Let’s talk about it again later.”
