Hecatolite, once freeing herself from her sister, quickly inspected her own body, letting out a sigh of relief as she looked down.

she ran a hand down her chest, her small breast barely a handful for her tiny hands as she gave them a confirming squeeze. A familiar jolt shot through her as she poked one of the small pink buds, ok, so those are still right at least. Wish they were a bit bigger. She shot a glance at her sister whose chest, though still on the smaller side, was clearly more… defined than her own. She sighed again, continuing her self inspection, again looked down to be greeted by a tuft of snow white fur that blocked her view. However, a quick physical inspection told her that she was still, in fact, a girl. She opted to stop the inspection of that particular part of her body given the audience, though she did notice it was surprisingly… sensitive. Simply brushing against it sent electricity through her body, she briefly wondered if she had been reformed as a virgin. Is that how it works? New body new first time? I will have to ask Eryl, or I guess I could just check if I have a hymen. Later though, first I need to be sure that quack doctor didn’t make me lopsided! She inspected her legs that were thankfully the same size, wiggling her toes in the sand as she did find she felt… balanced. She felt strangely sturdy on her feet as she shifted her weight from side to side. She ran a hand through her amazingly long hair, her hand becoming tangled in the disheveled snow-white strands momentarily as she frantically combed through it. Her hair was soft, unnaturally so if you asked her, as she pet herself before her hand found its way to the back of her head. That’s... different, why does this spot feel different? She thought rubbing the back of her neck. It reminded her of petting a dog or a particularly soft cat, the clearly not hair seemed to run down her spine, leading to a…

“Damn Calamari! Just what kind of doctor were you, huh?” Hecatolite called out pointing an accusing finger at the woman who stood next to Eryl.

“What do you mean by that?” Himari asked, raising her hands defensively, “I was an Orthopedic surgeon if you must know.”

Hecatolite rolled her eyes, “you can't just make up words and tack surgeon on the end.”

“Make up words?!” Much to everyone’s surprise, Himari took a step towards Hecatolite. “Hecatolite, I assure you that I am in fact a doctor…”

“Really now,” Hecatolite turned her back to Himari with a flick of her hips, “pff calling yourself a doctor and don’t even know humans don’t have tails!” she mocked as she bent over, the large tail protruding from above her plump butt, shifting as it fell limply over her hips.

Himari stood stunned by the brazen display as she watched Hecatolite’s tail wag slightly behind her. The tail in question looked so alien that even Eryl couldn’t place it, the thick base jutting out of Hecatolite’s lower back appeared to be as thick as one of her own legs as it moved unnaturally out of the way giving them both more of a view of the girl than they would have preferred before she stood up and spun around to face them.

Hecatolite let out a yelp as her tail tangled in her own feet causing her to trip. “It's so long too!” Hecatolite cried out though no one could mistake the joy in her voice as she rolled in the sand grabbing at the strange appendage that easily wrapped around her body. “It's warm. Maybe it isn’t so bad.” She hummed as she snuggled with the tail tangled in her arms.

“I…” Himari bit her lip as she watched Hecatolite curling up on the ground with an unnerving smile. She knew that the addition of the tail was not her fault, the spell should have made two identical bodies that were both indistinguishable from humans but somehow both of the twins had grown an extra limb. She had even taken extra care envisioning them as similar as possible while casting the spell so she couldn’t explain the slight differences between the two. Amethyst was clearly taller with a more defined chest and slightly more muscular arms, where Hecatolite was shorter with wider hips…

“The differences are because of your individual souls.” Eryl finally interjected, “Amethyst is a swords woman, having trained with a sword for years her soul has developed more powerful arms where Hecatolite seems to focus more on running or jumping around giving her more defined legs. On top of Hecatolite’s albinism causing her new body to be devoid of pigmentation, it is likely that her tail is more closely related to something within her own soul that has caused its manifestation. I will remind you Hecatolite, I am the one who designed and cast the spell, any abnormality in your body is because of your own interference instead of any ineptitude on Himari’s part.”

Himari was stunned, she believed Hecatolite was… unintelligent; thinking Eryl would know this and use smaller words to explain her assumptions to the mad girl yet when she looked back to Hecatolite, she could see… understanding. Her large red eyes looking over to Eryl as she seemed to maul over the words. “Oh, is that all, wonky soul stuff again?”

“Yes,” Eryl sighed, “wonky soul stuff.”

“Well why didn’t you just say so!” Hecatolite grumbled as she stood up, dusting sand from herself. She smiled at Himari, the action seeming… unnatural as her mouth seemed to spread to be too wide for her face as she flashed rows on interlocking teeth that were definitely inhuman. “pff, if you’re a doctor you should learn how to explain stuff clearly to people.”

Himari’s shoulders slumped, defeatedly as she limped her way back to the campfire. “I’ll work on that.” She said as she plopped into one of the makeshift seats.

“Hecatolite, don't mean to Ms. Himari, she has been helping me watch over your egg, you know." Amethyst finally interjected, tapping her sister on the crown of her head.

“Ms. Himari?” Hecatolite asked, rubbing the top of her head, “the fish doctor? Why should I be nice to her, she’s the saint of the goat!”

“Actually,” Amethyst looked back up the beach to where Himari sat. “Himari is the saintess of the Singularity now.”

“The Singularity? What God is that?”

“The Singularity, the lucidity of bedlam, is a Deity just like you.” Amethyst smiled devilishly, “She’s a new Deity, Himari converted not too long ago to show she’s our ally.”

“A new Deity!” Hecatolite’s eyes narrowed as she muttered, “and she has a cooler name than me. I’ll have to be careful…”

“Well of course, I couldn’t just be the big sister of the devour forever you know.” Amethyst laughed as she patted Hecatolite’s shoulder.

“Big sister! I’m definitely the older sister!” She swatted at her sister’s hand, “what you get a new body, and you think you're all cool now huh? So what if you got a fancy title!” Hecatolite swiped at Amethyst who quickly backed away from her. “I’ll show you come here!”

Eryl shook her head as the two Deities chased each other into the trees, “should we stop them?” Himari asked as the sounds of trees falling filled the air.

“Let them blow off steam,” Eryl replied sitting across from her. “If they wish to fight in earnest I would rather they do it now on a deserted island.”

Himari nodded, “that makes sense.” She flinched as a wave of mana washed over them followed by loud booming sounds that shook the ground around them. “you seem to handle her well.”

Eryl again shook her head, “X47 is without a doubt, ignorant, Himari, but she is not a fool. I have simply had a lot of time to speak with her while she was in the “void”, the trick is you just need to speak to her clearly and she will understand you.” Eryl sighed, she knew there was more to it but did not understand why Hecatolite seemed to trust her despite their constant disputes. “More to the point,” Eryl sat unmoving as another explosion shook the ground, “you have a lot of explaining to do.”
