The two youths sitting on the bench stretched and stood up, punching each other on the arm before laughing. Their shadows glided over the bouncy EWF material of the ground as they ran off into the distance.
Low IQ might be scorned at by the common folks but it has it's benefits.
Perhaps that what the parents at the playground were thinking while they watched as bystanders. The two teenagers were unashamed as they hung upside down from the monkey bars. Dear gravity had caused their shirts to flip over their heads causing them to be unaware of the special "attention" they had attracted. Their 6 pack abs and honey toned skin from the sun made the sight of them not as eye burning, but it had already been 12 minutes.

"Hey, I bet I can stay on the monkey bars longer."
"Bet!"
"I can do it with legs and not hands!"

... And the two idiots continued

The both of them sported red faces and sweaty hair when they finally landed back on the ground. The red flush was obliviously not from embarrassment because they had started mocking each other and grappling the moment they caught their breaths, without a care for the world. Small flecks of brown flew up into the air with their rough actions. The loose fill EWF wasn't able to handle the passionate tussle of the two as cracks were heard from under the back of the one currently pressed against the ground.

The two eventually lost interest in fighting and simultaneously flopped on the ground. Panting and coughs were heard from the two as they rested under the shadow of the children's slide. The red glow of sunlight covered everything in sight so the two closed their eyes.
"Let's just stay like this fore- for a while, alright?
"Mhn."
And in that moment to them, all was right in the world.

Soft, firey red rays of sunlight washed over a figure sprawled on the ground. The man just silently laid there and closed his eyes as he reminisced over fuzzy memories tinted with age.
Was he regretting over his sins?
Maybe. But those memories also made him to feel a sliver of long lost joy. Even though the other had caused so much pain by abandoning him. That playfull youth grew up and killed himself. The current 'him' was just a broken shell that once held the expectations, hopes and dreams of the young him.
And even then, he had failed. He had missed the chances to achieve the dreams and expectations of the youth, his youth.
He had let the innocent, passionate and wilfull 'him' drown from the pressure that surrounded him.
The thing he regretted most with all his heart was contradictorily simple. He had wanted to ask for an forever, not just a while longer. Alas, change and separation are inevitable things in life. Even if you chased after them for a lifetime, what was not ment to be yours will never be.
