The Shatu man that was running toward Yan Liqiang had a strong build. The red flames from the bonfire reflected off his sinister face which glowed like a malicious devil. As the Shatu warrior ran toward him, Yan Liqiang noticed something special about the scimitar he was holding — it looked like a sickle. The palms of the Shatu warrior were pitch black and there was a strange metallic glow…
Yan Liqiang suddenly felt alert as he recalled the scene where he and the two disciples of the Wise Ruler Sect killed a Sacred Flame priest.
The Shatu person let out an angry roar. The sickle-like scimitar left his hand and flew toward Yan Liqiang like a stream of light from ten meters away.
Ordinary people would be shocked and be put at a disadvantage if their opponents used flying knives and concealed weapons at such close proximity. The moment the scimitar left his opponent’s hand, he did a backbend in a strange way. His feet were still planted on the ground, but his body from his knees upward was bent backward and he was almost lying flat on the ground. While running, Yan Liqiang had just exhibited a stunning Iron Bridge move from the Iron Body Martial Arts.
The whistling sickle glided a foot above Yan Liqiang’s face. The gale that it stirred caused Yan Liqiang’s hair to fly. When the sickle flew past him, Yan Liqiang threw the long sword in his hand.
The sword was sent flying like how professional baseball players swung their bats. It did not fly in a straight line, but spun like a frisbee instead. It flew close to the ground and faster than the flying sickle.
When it came to using concealed weapons, Yan Liqiang could be the ancestor of that Shatu man.
The spinning sword cleanly cut through the approaching Shatu man below his right knee, disconnecting his lower leg from his body in just a split second. The Shatu man who was running toward Yan Liqiang let out a loud shriek and immediately fell to the ground. The flying sword continued its course and headed toward Yan Liqiang’s two other targets. It caught up with the two rhinodrake steeds that were galloping thirty meters ahead, and cut off their two legs. The rhinodrake steeds let out painful neighs and instantly crashed to the ground, sending the two riders into the air…
Yan Liqiang bounced back up from the floor like a centipede right after the sword left his hand. With great leaps and each covering three feet, he went to the Shatu man who had one of his legs severed.
The Shatu man shrieked but was still laying on the ground, unable to get up. He reached out with his demon claw-like hands, wanting to grab Yan Liqiang’s leg.
Yan Liqiang frowned slightly and lifted his leg to avoid the Shatu man’s grip. Without waiting for the struggling Shatu man to get up, Yan Liqiang stomped hard on his chest with that leg.
Yan Liqiang’s immense strength resulted in a cracking sound when he stomped on the Shatu man. The Shatu man’s ribcage was instantly crushed and his eyeballs were squeezed out of their sockets. His body sunk three inches into the ground and half of the bones in his body shattered.
Yan Liqiang continued to march forward. The spinning sword flew back to Yan Liqiang after cutting through the rhinodrake steeds’ legs. Yan Liqiang caught hold of the sword and threw it out once again.
The spinning sword flew several dozen meters away. The Shatu warrior who fell from his steed had just managed to get up, but the sword cut through his waist before he could even react. His body was split into two and dropped to the ground.
In just the blink of an eye, no Shatu people were left standing in front of Yan Liqiang.
The small valley was filled with the stench of blood.
The flying sword made a beautiful arc in its trajectory and came back to Yan Liqiang’s grip.

With his sword in hand, Yan Liqiang walked toward his last target…
The rhinodrake steed was unable to get up after one of its legs was cut off. An old treacherous-looking Shatu man with disheveled hair was pinned underneath the rhinodrake steed. Half of his body was soaked in fresh blood from an arrow wound on his shoulder. The wound was most likely inflicted by Yan Liqiang when the old Shatu man was in the tent.
The old Shatu man struggled to free his trapped legs from underneath the rhinodrake steed. The weight of the steed was as heavy as a mountain.
When the old Shatu man saw Yan Liqiang approaching him with the long sword, he stopped struggling. His pupils constricted while he panted heavily, “Who are you?! We are a regular Shatu caravan protected by the laws of your Great Han Empire. Why do you attack us? If you are after the money and goods, they are all in the tent!” The old Shatu man pointed at one of the tents with his trembling hand while subconsciously holding his other hand close to his heart.
Yan Liqiang stopped when he was about ten steps away from the old man. He did not move any closer as he still had some lingering fear against the tactics used by those Sacred Flame priests. Those priests were usually frail old men who were capable of vicious tactics that were difficult to guard against.
Yan Liqiang smiled when he heard the old Shatu man’s words. He scanned the priest’s body and his smile turned cold, “Stop pretending, you must know who I am. The three men that you sent to Pingxi City should be all dead by now and it’s your turn. Do you have any last words?”
“How did you know that we were here?” The old Shatu man suddenly calmed down as the fear on his face immediately vanished without a trace.
“Since you’re about to die, I see no harm in telling you…” Yan Liqiang shifted his gaze and said, “I knew you were here was because I had laid a trap in the city. And of course, I had an informant. Don’t go thinking that all you Shatu people are united. If all of you died here, Lin Qingtian might be disappointed, but someone within the Shatu Seven Tribes would be happy!”
“Impossible…” There was a great change in the old Shatu man’s expression. He stared fiercely at Yan Liqiang and said, “Our people will not let you get away with this…”
“Really?” Yan Liqiang smiled coldly. “If they have no intention of sparing me, then you should go to hell!”
When Yan Liqiang finished speaking, he threw the sword in his hand. The blade flew like a cold beam of light and easily pierced through the priest’s chest over a distance of ten steps, nailing him to the ground.
The hilt of the long sword was still quivering when the Sacred Flame’s priest spewed out a mouthful of blood and died an instant death with his eyes wide like saucers…
Half a minute later when Yan Liqiang saw the old man was completely still and there were no unusual movements around him, he slowly approached the old man to retrieve his long sword that was buried in his chest. He then cautiously picked off the old man’s clothes with the long sword.
There was a small black snake writhing on the old man’s chest. It had been chopped by Yan Liqiang’s sword just now. Yan Liqiang felt a chill run down his spine as he looked at the snake. The man had deliberately tried to divert his attention when he mentioned the goods and valuables. It was a deadly trap — if Yan Liqiang were greedy and curious, he would have fallen into the trap, thinking that the old Shatu man was hiding something valuable in his chest. Had he come closer to check on it, what awaited him would probably this black snake’s deadly kiss.
The cries of pain from those Shatu men who survived Yan Liqiang’s arrows could be heard coming from the tents.
Yan Liqiang cast a glance at the Shatu camp that he had destroyed, then looked at the sky with a grim expression on his face. He mumbled to himself irresolutely, then vanished from the spot with a flash…
…
Ten minutes after Yan Liqiang left the scene, a bird suddenly flew toward the east from a tree near the priest’s corpse. Another hour later, the small valley was filled with the sounds of thundering hooves and burning torches. The Pingxi Military Governor, Liu Yucheng, had arrived with a group of his soldiers. When Liu Yucheng saw the corpses lying around the camp and the tents that were full of holes, he drew a cold breath. He could not believe this was all done by a single person within such a short period of time…
“Bring back those Shatu dogs who are still alive and get rid of those who are seriously injured…”
