Wanda had been worried sick for more than five days now. Her brother had gotten a high fever suddenly and kept drifting into unconciousness from time to time, mumbling strange things all the while.
She had stayed by his bedside in the run-down apartment they had rented, wiping his sweat away and watching over him.
Her brother was everything she had left and his well-being was all she cared about after their parents death. Even though he was the older one and was always there to protect her, she had always been the one to decide on what to do. Chosing the path that kept them away from serious trouble and in relative safety.
Pietro had always been wild and fearless, unpertubed in the face of danger. He had taught her how to stand up to her fears. His mere presence giving her the comfort and safety to be herself, to stand up for what she wanted.
She loved him with all her heart. And she could feel his love and care for her all the same. Their connection and bond had been forged with blood, desperation and terror. When they had nobody else, they had each other.
Seeing him tossing and turning in his bed - sick and in pain - tore at her heart in a way nothing else could.
As she sat by his side and held his hand, waiting for him to wake up and be the charismatic charmer that she knew him to be, she suddenly saw him settle down.
His breathing gained an even rhythm and a few minutes later his shoulder long hair began to turn into an ash-blonde colour. When he finally opened his eyes, she watched on shocked and with bated breath. His eyes had changed from their hazelnut colour to a crystal blue.
As Pietro slowly turned towards her, she was spellbound by the changes she had witnessed.
“Wanda..?”, he croaked with his throat dry.
Awoken from her stupor by hearing her own name called out by him, she answered.
“...Pietro. You... I... You are finally awake.”, she replied, while gripping his hand tightly with her own, pressing it into her chest. Tears of joy threatening to fall from her eyes.
A surprised look crossed his eyes at her gesture, though he shook it off a moment later, before he asked her a question.
“H-how long was I ou-... cough cough...”
“Here. Drink, brother.”
Grabbing a nearby can of water, she poured him a glass and helped him sit up a bit. Before helping him drink a few gulps of it. While she did so, Wanda's front was pressed against his side, again causing a strange look to flash in Pietro's eyes.
After having enough, he raised his hand and lightly brushed her hand away.
“Thank you, sister.”, he said, looking at her with his crystal coloured eyes and gentle smile.
Wanda had seen her brother smile at her literally thousands of times, but this felt different. Something in her heart stirred for a moment at this sight. A slight blush crept onto her face, as she suddenly felt very aware of their proximity.
“I-I'ts no-nothing.”
Hurriedly moving back towards the chair next to the bed, the cup slipped from her hand and she splashed the rest of the water on the sheets.
“... I-I am gonna get a towel!”, she blurted out, before practically running from the room, her hands pressing onto her chest.
'What is wrong with me?! Why do I feel so embarressed?! Pietro is my brother... Just my brother...', her thoughts whirling in confusion, while she did so.
…
'Well, that was awkward... Damn, I will need some time to get used to this, but these memories... They aren't mine and yet they are.... Silver Walker and Pietro Maximoff, who of these two am I?... It feels like I am neither and both at the same time.'
I mused as I saw 'my sister' Wanda Maximoff run from my room in a hurry.
I remember having wished for my memories and mind to be transferred into Pietro Maximoff, and that godly being had truly done what I asked of it. What I hadn't thought about was that one's identity was basically nothing more than the sum of his memories and experiences.
So when my, Silver Walker's memories were mixed with Pietro Maximoff's, I practically stopped being Silver Walker or Pietro Maximoff. I was now an entirely new person with both of their memories, experiences, aspirations, feelings and dreams.
I still loved my sister, incredibly so even, but there was now also a part of me that saw her as an unfamiliar and gorgeous woman. These two sentiments blended together into a mix of familiarity, attraction and desire, that was nearly overwhelming.
Shaking my head, I stood up from the bed, grabbed some fresh clothes from an old half-broken drawer nearby and went to the bathroom.
Closing the door behind me, I stripped down my clothes, that were sticky from my sweat.
Inspecting myself in the full-body mirror behind the door, I couldn't help but think of myself as a very attractive guy. Toned body, handsome face, ash-blonde shoulder-length hair and crystal eyes. Despite the slight sense of unfamiliarity I had with my new form, I was very much satisfied with what I saw.
That was also the moment Wanda opened the door, still believing me to rest in my bed. We both froze like a deer in headlights.
I could see my sister's eyes wandering from my face down my body. Her gaze fixed for a moment on my very naked lower body, before it returned to my face, only to involuntarily lower again. Her eyes widening in shock at her own action. Wanda's face turned crimson as she fled from the room with an extraordinary speed, not uttering a single word. The door to her room slamming shut a moment later.
I should probably have locked the door, but as Silver I had lived alone for nearly a decade, so I never bothered with locking the door. Most of the time I didn't even close them behind me.
“Sigh, what a mess...”, I muttered while I closed the door and locked it this time.
Stepping into the shower, I washed myself thorougly. Rubbing off all the accumulated grime and sweat from my body, getting more comfortable with every minute the hot water poured over my form.
As Silver, I had always loved a long shower after a day of hard work. The moment where you can practically feel yourself getting cleaner as time passed was the favorite part of my day.

Taking my time under the shower, I went over my memories and recalled all the wishes I made.
The first one was the transmigration into Pietro Maximoff with my(and his) memories intact, while possessing the powers he would later gain through the experiments with the Mindstone facilitated by Hydra. I had also wished for the memories about the use of his powers to be tranferred to me.
These powers included Superspeed, heightened metabolism and incredible reflexes, while my Superspeed allowed me to build up incredible momentum that could be used in a fight to increase the power of my attacks by a great margin.
Secondly I wished for a very specific ability. I wanted my body and mind to be able to grow stronger without a limit, while being able to adapt and evolve. There was a bit more detail to this power, but that was basically the gist of it.
I also wished for my existence to be concealed for all those capable of predicting the future. This concealment also extended to my mind, making me immune to mind manipulation and mind reading ablities.
Lastly I had wished for a unbreakable weapon, which would grow and adapt. The basic form of this weapon were two twin daggers, while it could change into a spear at will.
My Superspeed alone was a great ability, but it had its limits. Pietro had still been a baseline human, despite his great speed and like the original I could be killed by any stray bullets, if I was not careful.
Superspeed also had its limits.
It was an ability that originated from my mind and affected my whole body, and while it didn't exhaust me much physically, it would tire me out mentally. Keeping up the necessary focus for the control of this power was very taxing, especially since my whole perception of time had changed drastically. With a simple prompt my mind could work several times faster than that of a normal human, streching the time it took for me to take a quick shower into hours if I wanted to.
I was also limited by my physical strength when it came to the weight I could carry while in my 'Speed-Mode', something I planned to recitify by training my body to superhuman levels as soon as possible.
Ending my short introspective, I left the shower after having rinsed off the shampoo and began drying off my body and hair, before putting on the fresh clothes: underwear, a white shirt, a black jeans and black hoody.
Leaving the bathroom, I went to Wanda's room and knocked on the door, while addressing her through the closed door.
*Knock* *Knock*
“Wanda, can you help me out for a bit?”
I could hear her shuffling out ot her bed, and walking up to the door.
Opening it, she avoided looking into my eyes, while she asked me.
“What do you need help with, brother?”
Smiling gently at her still being embarrassed, but nevertheless willing to help me, I replied.
“Would you mind taking care of that mess? Maybe braid it or something?”, I said while pointing at my head.
Looking at my hair, she gave a short laugh and responded. The awkwardness almost gone between us.
“Sure, come.”
Grabbing my hand with her own and pulling me over to the stool that stood before her desk. She practically pushed me down on it, while grabbing a brush from the desk.
“We should probably go to a doctor and let them check you out. Your hair and eyes have changed colour suddenly, that can't be something minor.”, she said while brushing my hair, which felt pretty good.
From my memories I know that she did this regularly, as I was absolutely useless in that department and had always relied on her to take care of my long hair.
“And with what money should we pay the doctor? We can barely afford the rent already. Aside from that, I feel fine already. Must be your loving care.”, I answered with a smile in her direction.
It was true, money was extremly tight for us, because while we did get some orphan's benefit from the government, it was very little. We both had to do some odd jobs, just so we could feed ourselves and afford this place. There was no money for a doctor, which was also why Wanda hadn't called one, as I had been sick for the last few days.
Well, not sick, but more like in the process of transmigration.
“D-Don't be ridiculous. Your hair and eyes wouldn't be different if you are fine.”, she countered with obvious worry in her voice.
As she stood to my side, I instinctively grabbing one of her hands. I held it tightly while pressing my lips against the back of it.
“Don't worry, Wanda. I am fine, I promise. I won't leave you anytime soon.”, I assured her in a low voice.
I could feel her tense up for a split second, before she suddenly broke down and tears began to spill from her eyes. Sobbing, she started to cry quietly.
“*Sob*...I thought... *Sob*... I lost you... I was so scared. *Sob*... Please, don't ever leave me alone brother. *Sob*...”
Pulling her into my lap, I hugged her tightly.
“Shhh, it's ok. I won't. I am fine... I promise, I won't ever leave you, Wanda.”, I consoled her.
One of my hands drew stroked her back, while the other gently held the back of her head.
It seemed the worry and exhaustion of the last few days, had finally caught up to Wanda. She literally cried herself to sleep in my arms. I felt a painful sting in my heart seeing her this distraught, the urge to somehow relieve her of her pain and worry nearly overwhelming me.
It was this moment that I realized, that no matter what this life will turn out to be, I could never leave her behind. Wanda was as much part of me now, than my own heart was. Wether that be good or bad, I didn't know just yet.
