[2014 – May]
I knew that Thanos was residing in the Sanctuary, an asteroid field inhabited by the Chitauri, but it wasn't just him I had to worry about.
The Black Order also had to be eliminated at all cost. None could be left alive.
Using the same method I had used to observe the situation in the Kyln, I kept an eye on the Sanctuary.
Several weeks later, when I once again opened a miniature portal and used my Spatial Sense through it, finally what I had hoped for occurred.
All of the Black Order had returned to the Sanctuary, waiting for new orders from Thanos and filling up their ranks with Chitauri cannon fodder.
Informing Wanda and Silver of my departure, I donned my black mask and standard outfit.
No hestitation in my steps, I passed through the dark blue portal. My eyes shining with ice-cold determination.

[Sanctuary]
Sitting in his throne, the Mad Titan was in deep thought, thinking about his recent failures.
The failed Invasion of a backwater planet like Earth, the loss of an Infinity Stone, Gamora's betrayal followed by Ronan's failure and the disappearance of another Infinity Gem – indeed they were his failures.
He had foolishly thought that such an important task could be handed to others and overlooked the rebellious tendencies of his favourite daughter willingly.
How could these tasks not end in failure, when he himself knew all too well the cruelty of fate?
His negligence had caused all this and he wasn't just going to sit by and let this continue.
Thanos was ready to accept serious losses to his forces to remedy his past failures. He planned to send his remaining loyal children to complete his taks and even get directly involved himself.
Thinking about the best strategy to go about this and the rough timeframe in which he could expect results, his train of thought was broken by the all-too-familiar low rumbles of explosions and the accompanying bright lights in the distance.
Looking up, he could see brilliant purple arcs of destruction rip apart most of the motherships in his fleet on one side, though in the next moment a sharp blade of blue flaming energy annihilated the few ships that had luckily survived the first assault.
With a grim look on his face, Thanos stepped down from his throne and armed himself with his Double-Bladed-Sword, ready to face any incoming threats.
That was when he saw The Other approach him in panic.
“Who is the assailant and where are my children?”, Thanos asked darkly.
“Ma-!...”
Though before The Other could answer his question, a flash of lilac-blue fire passed by.
*THUD*
The Other's beheaded corpse slumped down without any resistance, but the Mad Titan didn't spare him even a glance.
His whole focus resting on the man, that had suddenly appeared before him.
A mixture of blue and purple flames twisting around an abyss-black spear in the figure's hand, while the only visible part of his face were the blazing eyes of the man. His blonde, almost white, hair was neatly braided and his black clothes couldn't hide the warrior's physique beneath.

“My children?”, Thanos asked without any emotions visible on his face.
The only response the Titan got was a slight movement of the man's hand, before the heads of the Black Order appeared next to the corpse of The Other in a cloud of dark blue smoke
A flash of loss and pain finally appeared in the Mad Titan's eyes, though only for a moment, as his gaze settled back on the man responsible for the deaths of his children.
“Who are you?”, Thanos finally asked the stranger.
This time though, no answer came from the man, and his only respone was a swing of his black spear.
And with that swing, the Mad Titan's world was dyed in a mixture of blue and purple.

[Xandar – Outskirts – Residence of the Maximoff Family]
Iryna Maximoff. That was the name of my second daughter, who had been born last year. We had named her after our mother, wanting to keep a piece of our parents living on.
It was midday right now, as I held her against my chest, while resting in a lawn chair and watching Silver and Wanda play a round of Supernatural Badmington, with both using their powers to enhance their performance.
Their laughter echoing in my ears like music.
Iryna, meanwhile as expected of a baby, was sleeping soundly after Wanda had fed her.
Looking down at her, I could see the thin strands of blond hair and knew that hidden behind her peacefully closed eyelids were the eyes of her mother – warm emerald green.
Contrary to what one might believe, I hadn't been worried about Iryna being born with some kind of birth defect considering the blood relations between Wanda and myself.
My own genetic code had already changed drastically after adapting and evolving through the infernal training I went through, the use of Extremis and the subduing of the Infinity Gems.
I wasn't strictly human anymore, so the chance of birthdefects were practically zero.
On the contrary, my own enhanced genetic material coupled with Wanda's, whose DNA was similarly interwoven with her Chaos Magic, I expected our offspring to naturally develop some kind of supernatural abilities. And according to Wanda, Iryna was alredy carrying such potential inside of her.
It had been more than a year since I had eliminated Thanos and since then I had still spent a lot of my time training, so as to strengthen my control over the Power Stone and Space Stone without neglecting my physical strength and the strength of my flames.
Still, my priorities had shifted and taking care of Iryna, playing with Silver, spending time with Wanda and just being a husband in general had taken up decidedly more of my time.
It didn't bother me in the slightest, as that is what I had been fighting for all this time and will continue to do so in the future.
My current training regime was still harsh nonetheless, but that was only because I had long since gotten used to the feeling of breaching the limits of what I thought possible. It had become a hobby and passion of mine, learning new martial arts styles and advancing my power.
No longer did I have to worry every waking hour, about the events I knew would take place sooner or later.
There were still some loose strings I had to tie up, but nothing pressing for the time being.
Feeling Iryna shifting her small form on my chest, I stopped my musings and gently caressed her back, which caused her to calm down almost immediately.
Settling for enjoying the moment, I breathed in the fresh summer air and fell into a ligt sleep myself.
